Dice Rifts Adventure - OOC

In Rifts they are not exactly like this, their entry in Psyscape says that it is impossible to believe that supernatural beings are not real on Rifts Earth, everything is very real. So they are different than they were in Beyond the Supernatural. In Rifts, the Nega's have adapted though more by being strong willed and skeptical in a way that they consequentially and overwhelmingly believe that such forces cannot control, dominate, or destroy them.
That makes sense! It would be hard to be an atheist in Asgard. =)

Psychie Psychie I should ask before I crash out here - what is your take on the Undead Hunter here taken after Palladium Fantasy's Yin-Sloth Undead Hunter?
Psychie Psychie Your take, please?

EDIT: Looking into Spirit West (World Book 15), I am convinced Dreamy would make a really good Native American character, especially were she to give her life and service to a North American totem. Following Eon's advice into psychic characters, I think a Mystic Warrior (page 39) would be a really good fit. Or perhaps a Spirit Warrior (page 44).

She would also make a darn fine Spirit Host P.C.C. (China 2, page 70). They have strong spirit powers (like Hongo talking with the dead and such). In both cases, I can see her following the horse totem/spirit. She is wild, practical, compassionate, social, and strong.

The only "downside" I see is power balance. Sherwood and Eon are both playing an R.C.C. combined with an O.C.C.. If I play a normal human, I'm going to be behind.

The Undead Hunter has some good things going for it, but I don't know how it will balance with the other classes. I don't have any objections to it, though.

Well, it depends. I don't know how you're working it, but like the Atlanteans don't get cybernetics and bionics because it wreaks havoc with their magical abilities, so too do psychic folks all over Rifts avoid it for the same reason (in Rifts Ultimate Edition, the price is 1/2 one's I.S.P.). Correct me if I'm wrong, but Eon's Nega-psychic Momano Headhunter is such a combination ( Eonivar Eonivar Am I right or wrong about this?). Some folks on the Palladium forums have brought it up.

I'm trying to make a Dreamy R.C.C. + O.C.C. that doesn't run into that problem (cybernetics + magic or psionics).

Psychie Psychie Besides perhaps Atlanteans, are there any races off the top of your head that you think would fit well for this campaign?

Yeah there seems to be a disconnect on the rules regarding the Momano HeadHunter with this. The wording is...odd and somewhat disjointed. It is making me reconsider playing the class. And that puts me back into "Too many choices" to make a decision mode. I rolled up the stats and put together the basic things and bonuses for the momono headhunter and its not even close to like the Cyber Knight....so I am not sure what to play at this point. There is not much that goes up against Vampires or Gargoyles well beyond the Atlanteans and a few other OCCs. So I am not sure what to play.

Eonivar Eonivar Ah, that makes me a little sad. You've been wanting to play that Momano Headhunter for months; it's clearly something you're enthusiastic about. What about if there were a different R.C.C. for it?

Or if it really is a new O.C.C. you'd rather have, might this list help? I came across it when looking for online advice concerning holy folks. Source here.

"Cyber-Knight, RUE

Inquisitor, World Book 7

Psi-Warrior, World Book 12

Spirit Warrior, World Book 15 (Native American theme)

Battle Magus, World Book 16

Mystic Knight, World Book 16 (and it's spin off White Rose Order in World Book 29)

Russian Demon Slayer, World Book 18

There is also the Priest OCC in Pantheons of the Megaverse."

And here's another idea. Must the Momano Headhunter have cybernetics/bionics? What if your character were an alien/D-Bee? I would think something like a Grackle Tooth Momano Headhunter might be fun? (I've always found Grackle Tooths to have lots of personality on top of their toughness and strength.) =)

There are a few OCCs with magic cybernetics, like the TW Crazy in the South America Book 2. Aren't the implants for the Momano Headhunter also TW in nature?

You are going to be fighting monsters in Europe; what kind of races would you think are good for that? There are so many different options it would take me all day to post them all.

Psychie Psychie I don't know a great deal about Europe (heck, I've even forgotten what makes a Gargoyle/Gurgoyle blush). I only know so much about Vampires, too.

I'd like an R.C.C. that's humanlike (even an augmented human) as opposed to a total alien. I looked up the Praxians and their low M.E. and M.A. kind of go against what I see in Dreamy (at least average in M.A., but strong-willed).

There's the Amazon in South America's World Book (they're close to Atlanteans, so might as well play one of those, right?). Plus, I just don't see Dreamy as Hispanic.

One idea I have for an R.C.C. is pretty open-ended. I am warm to the idea of Dreamy perhaps being Native American (i.e. Spirit West). Those are some good people in Rifts Earth and I like their compassion, strength, gentleness, and bravery. They have some awesome animal totem spirits (Horse, Dog, and Owl come to mind though I also found Ferret highly amusing!). This would give Dreamy one heck of a foundation to draw upon and something higher than her to serve (the Paladin/Cleric nature is still strong in this one).

The idea is based around the Coalition States. Lone Star loves to grab people and mess with their DNA, right? Well, what if they'd stolen Dreamy from her tribe and messed with her? And what if someone in the CS grew a conscience and, during an attack, saw that she was freed? She returns to her tribe, different, but still pure in spirit, therefore welcome. She becomes either a Mystic Warrior, Spirit Warrior, or an Undead Hunter O.C.C. but with some form of CS augmentation that she can turn against them.

That's as far as I've gotten with the idea.

If you are wanting to play a human, there are options to help you stay alive. The one symbiotic life form that Eron was getting attached to, and Ando from the Japan game had it, too, from the Atlantis book. If Psychie is willing to go with that, or would make you an MDC being along with your character class.

As cool as it would be to go all Deep Space Nine (Dax!), having a hump on her back and a second brain really isn't Dreamy's style. Thanks for the idea though!

You do love that symbiote, don't you? You bring it up often enough in our Rifts games. I'd say... you're quite attached to it, ain't'cha, Bud? Ha ha! 8D

I'll look at the stuff from the Spirit West book. I don't expect that there will be any sort of issues with the classes in it, though.

What kind of modifications are you looking for?

It's... a little hard to explain, but I'll try.

What I'm ultimately looking for is an O.C.C./R.C.C./what-have-you that will keep me interested enough in playing a great character like Dreamy for a long time to come. I've got the character; I want class(es) that's true to her nature.

She believes in magic and she likes being the kind of "good gal" who will help innocent people from supernatural evil, so that has me leaning toward the Undead Hunter O.C.C. (Fighter-Wizard if you will). But I also like Eon's advice concerning psychic characters. That has me leaning toward the Mystic Warrior O.C.C. (Fighter-Psychic). And then I like the powerhouse side of things (the Spirit Warrior O.C.C. is almost in the neighborhood of a True Atlantean Undead Slayer - which I've played already with Gradicus).

I'd also like an R.C.C. that suits her. Sure, she'd make a great Atlantean. I also think she'd make a neat werewolf (think Werewolf: The Apocalypse), but I don't even know where to find that. I think that'd be a neat combination - Werewolf + Undead Hunter that hunts Vampires and Gargoyles! Hah! How cool!

But the closest thing I can think of to a Werewolf is the Spirit Host P.C.C. (Hongo's P.C.C.; just make her a wolf or dog). I know that class inside and out and I could "Westernize" it to give her the religious side she longs for.

But yeah. The Native American fits her desire to belong to a good people with a strong foundation. Gives her something/someone to devote herself to.

There are were-jaguars in Central America; I'd have to hunt to find the exact book, but they might be of interest to you if you want something that is affected with lycanthropy. It could even be tweaked to be a werewolf instead of the jaguar.

Ah! Found Werewolves (in Conversion Book 1, page 191). Checking it out now to see if it's a fit! =)

Ack! Rackelfratz. They're on par with Vampires (limited invulnerability. Includes "complete invulnerability to virtually all weapons, including mega-damage energy weapons, explosives, bullets, fire, wood, and poison/drugs."). Nearly always evil.

Back to the drawing board! =)

Just tossing out another idea; what about one of the Blind Warrior Women from the Atlantis book? They can be optional player characters, and if you are a 'good' one that is on the run, it would explain why you are not with the Splurgoth anymore.

Huh! Let me take a look at them.

The only book I'm aware that has their information is waaay back to World Book 2: Atlantis. And yeah, there are rogue Blind Warrior Women too. Very popular on the forums (if the forums weren't down, I could see why). Players asking if they can have their blindness cured in some non-cybernetic way and so on.

Taking a look to see if it's a fit!
