Are we expecting trouble on the sea?" He asked as he watched the people come out and took a look at them paying special attention on their weapons.
Psychie Psychie Would it be all right if Snowfall digs into his experiences as a Megaverse messenger and describes some of the many horrors of sea travel on Rifts Earth? =)

Yeah that is going to make Xinyi feel real assured about the safety of the giant metal underwater boat…. =-P

Give it a chance? Heh! Xinyi might actually become reasonably assured with the perspective and info this well-traveled Kitsune has to offer. Takuma too. =)

I am sure Xinyi will find the information very informative. I think they are more worried for the people on board that would not survive if the sub is sunk, that and do not think Xinyi likes tight enclosed spaces they cannot see out of. That is a state that they are not used to and never had to deal with until now.

It's Tuesday! Somebody post already and have a good day while you're doing it! =)

All right.

Another week has passed, only the Game Master and I have posted since my request for more posting. There have only been a handful of in-game posts in the past 30 days. Other games with the same players seem to be doing well (at least our Splicers and Exalted game). What is the story with our Rifts game here?

I've noticed a dip in posting ever since I switched characters from Dreamy to Snowfall (I doubt that has anything to do with it; I just want to point out that it's been that long).

Are players' expectations not being met? Is everyone doing their best so that all people (Game Master included) are having a good time? Is there some issue with the setting? The characters?

Let's talk!

I will get a Xinyi update today...I had them set themselves in the waiting area drawing to keep their mind off of the trip. I was expecting to continue with the journey...or at least move to the next scene...but I can have Xinyi start up some conversation.

That's very cool of you, Eon but I would like to get to the core of the problem if we can?

I for one have been looking forward to hitting Germany in Psychie's world for quite a while, but that doesn't mean everyone else here feels that way.

What would make the game more fun for everyone?

I'll change characters again if you that would help? It's the only thing I think I can do as a player besides bring up the question.

I like Snowfall, and I enjoy playing Xinyi...they both have a unique perspective on the world. And I too am excited to play in Germany in Rifts. I think I played one short adventure there many, many years ago.

I think everyone has been busy with some of the other RPs and life in general...and this one has fallen down on the priority list. Life is busy...I know I have been focusing on "Into the Ruins" (currently for me, it is known as "Meave waiting to wake up"...) and the Splicers RP. I think Psychie is also working on the To Kill A Primordial RP as well as I am sure many others. We are heading into the Holiday season soon and I am sure everyone's free time will shrink. In the end it is up to you where you want to put your time and effort into. I am happy to put forth the time and continue on this one as well as the other two.

I do agree with that, Eon!

I'm also of the opinion that enthusiasm is a key ingredient for many a Game Master. Among my fellow roleplayers outside of RP Nation, one GM I know and respect strongly brought up the idea that (and I'm paraphrasing here) "enthusiasm is not solely the GMs job. The players have to bring it too." My post the other day was written not only to find out how we could get posting again (or if we could), but also to show our dear Psychie Psychie that there is still enthusiasm for her year-old-plus second-ever Rifts game! And yes, as I imagined, there is!

Ultimately, it is not the dice nor the characters, not the story nor the game itself, but the human beings at the table that mean the most to me. How are we as a gaming group? So far, three of us have enthusiasm but I don't think that means our GM has to keep running the show if she isn't feeling it, right?

Speaking as a GM, PC, fellow gamer, but mostly as a friend, I have to ask - how is our Game Master doing? Psychie, your fun is just as important to me as anyone else in our game. Where do you stand? Is there any way (I'll speak only for myself here) that I can help support you?

I must admit I’m not feeling the same connection with this game that I do in my other ones. I think it is because I have the main story point still waiting for you to get to Germany to get started and that is still pending. I still want to run this game, and I’m getting ready to do an IC post shortly. I do love that you are concerned as to how I’m doing. That makes me feel very happy and all warm and fuzzy inside.

So, the sooner our team gets to Germany, the better for you? I say, why wait? If you like, let's fast-forward and get there as soon as you please! Here's hoping the submarine is at the northwest corner of Germany (not far from Hamburg)? Or perhaps you're already ahead of me on that?

Is everyone on-board with that idea (if Psychie doesn't already have that in motion)? I don't know what else we'd be doing besides waiting during the seeming last hour in the sub.

Just tossing out ideas in hopes of making our game even more fun! =)

I'm onboard with that. Lets rock out in Germany and kill us some vampires! Or gargoyles! Or other nasty monsters! Woot!

Oh, and I meant to ask. Psychie? In my lore, Snowfall has definitely visited Europe (especially England where he earned his Magic Helmet from a knight). He's never been to Germany before though. Does he too qualify for a Lore: Demons & Monsters roll? If so, his Skill is currently at 81%. Might he know something different, perhaps from an English point of view?

Give me a minute to look in the book to see if there is any special Lore that you would have locked away in your noggin and I'll let you know.

Hmm, I am not sure how to respond to the latest entry. I am open to suggestions.

Ha ha! What I didn't post last night:

"Could not agree with you more lizard"
(Insert mild sarcasm here.) Oh, that's going to go over well. Ha ha! =)

What I see today:

Xinyi cocked a white eyebrow at the strange quiet metal man. Her response had a hint of curiosity and at the same time a bit of indignation. It was as if she was insulted but did not want to fight about it and yet still find out where such an insult came from.

“Lizard? Who are you calling a lizard?”

To which I have to say, "Oh Lawd! Tha cyborg and tha dragon! Only in Rifts!" =)
