What you dont realize is that Trent doesn't know you and so he has no loyalty to you at the moment. Just like any good roleplaying game, you have to 'earn' reputation with factions or people in this case. There is a good chance that Trent will find loyalty in the group and in doing so would provide equal shares of the 'excess' travel fund.

Also, to be clear... he did not take the 12 million in goods... he had the 10 mil in cash. I assumed that Brazamal had 12 mil set aside for whatever extra gear / equipment we wanted to bring with us... aka the crates on the dock with our stuff.

Oh, I realize that, Dano. You're not the only one who's played smugglers and shady types. I am just going on what you've written IC and what's on Trent's character sheet is all. Given your apparent time in role-playing, I would be surprised if those two elements were the only thing to him. You've expressed that Trent is willing to share with those he has reason to trust (take Eric Foss, for example). I just haven't seen anything in-game to make me think that Trent is willing to share with the very folks he's stolen from. That's all. =)

As for the 12 million in Black Market items, it seemed to me that Trent was trusted with all of it. Besides, what would have happened if Capt. Raimus needed, say, more than the cash Trent had? Of course, Sherwood's the final word on that, too.

In the end, I'm convinced we're going to have a good game else I wouldn't be here; we have some darned good players. In my experiences, most long-term games go on because those involved are like-minded about most things.

I believe that's all a good game (any game) takes, really. And as players, we've got that, I think. =)
 
Sherwood Sherwood did Brazamal give the group any sort of map to where these individuals would be located? Or are we supposed to just wander around and hope to happen upon them?

Dano Dano I like that scene set-up between Trent and Capt. Raimus! Trent clearly understands the situation he and Foss are in. There is no way in hell anyone wants to be caught on Atlantis without a way home, and Trent is willing to do what it takes to get he and Foss out, even if it's just the two of them and the River Walker. If that's not basically human and "smuggler-ific", what is? =)
 
Obviously right now Trent is looking it out for himself and Foss. If the boat waits for him, anyone else still alive can get back on as well...

But thanks for the positive feedback on my IC post :)

Sherwood Sherwood I may have missed it (and pardon me if I did); did our characters receive the Blind Warrior Woman Talismans and such advanced to us from Brazamal?

Also...

Sherwood Sherwood did Brazamal give the group any sort of map to where these individuals would be located? Or are we supposed to just wander around and hope to happen upon them?

I'd especially like to know the former - if we don't have this gear on us, it'd be good to know now before any Initiative rolls are asked for. =)
 
I thought I had given you guys radio codes and a map, but I must not have posted it. :yakuza2: That's what I get for thinking.

All of your requested gear was delivered to you guys on the ship, and everyone knows the radio codes and frequencies to contact the escapees.
 
wow i wasnt gone very long but im already behind 2 pages of OOC and a full page of IC, man i thought you guys said it would be slow lol
 
Well we are now coming up on our first battle. That will go one person at a time as your turn comes up.
 
If there's an achievement for dying with three amulet charges remaining, I'll unlock it first.

Also just a general question regarding my technowizard projects: How do we handle the completion of those, Sherwood Sherwood ? Is it fine if I just tell you when I feel like I should have had enough time? Not that I'm plannning to leave the fight to tinker with my armor - just asking for the future :)

Everyone needs to give me an initiative roll, and those on deck also need to make a Horror Factor roll because of the dragon. Don't forget any bonuses you may have!

Sherwood Sherwood ? Some of our newer players might not have much idea as to what those are. Hey, Psychie? You're adding that +2 bonus vs. Horror Factor for Terra because she's from Clan Draco Amicus, right?

Also, does this dragon count as supernatural evil, please?

Roll #1 was the Horror Factor roll (24 total).
Roll #2 was the Initiative roll (14 total).
 
Purr Purr Good point. Let me go over what Horror Factor is real quick.

Some creatures, constructs or situations can be quite fearsome, and for those not expecting to see such things, it can cause a shock. If you fail a HF roll, it can cause you to pause in combat, making you lose actions or initiative for the first round.

Some classes provide a bonus to your HF roll, so if you have those, make sure you add those in.
 
I'm assuming that 8 won't make the cut here - if it does by some miracle, I'll change the post later on.
