Silanon Silanon considering that I am letting you have the spells effective at 5th level, it is clear that someone else had to put the magic on your armor. So, yes, you can get the spell even though it is not on your current list.

Oh, illustrious Storyteller, since Silanon is taking a different spellcasting class than what I have, can we swap spells back and forth? The TechnoWizard comes with some nice ones that I would love to have.

Amusing example.

I'm genuinely uncertain if I've ever had a Rifts character ever parry anything, now that I think of it. So no wonder the rule didn't leap to mind...

You generally can't parry a ranged attack, unless you have some specific shields to be able to take the hit on. Then all you are doing is sparing your main body from taking the damage. In a melee combat, you always want to parry if possible.

It will be up to Silanon if he wants to share his spells with you. He may want to keep an edge on you magic-wise.

I went ahead and added a clan to Terra's sheet. Thanks for reminding me.

Psychie, why did you choose that particular clan? I get the feeling you don't choose such things whimsically, but because something fits. So what made this fit?

This is true except in some rare cases. Some melee-specialized classes can parry energy blasts with their blades. Perhaps, with sufficient storytelling and gaming they might reflect them back at their origins (like the Jedi). In Rifts, anything is possible.

A few quick notes on the characters posted already.

Psychie Psychie Looks good.
Orikanyo Orikanyo Also good. Love the pic.
Purr Purr I see you are about 95% done. Just need to put on your regular gear and a background.
Dano Dano Looks good. Love the pic for Trent.
DraconianWarrior DraconianWarrior I see that you have some work to do on your skill percentiles. You have bonus amounts posted, but not the actual number.

Still holding on Epiphany Epiphany and Silanon Silanon , but I hope to see enough of their sheets up so we can jump into this soon.

Yeah! Dano's pic for Trent is amazing! =)

Sherwood Sherwood I am working on Gradicus's history as we speak (and enjoying the process). So, which books should I check out to spend my credits, Sherwood? Gradicus has done a bit of traveling (Atlantis though he wouldn't be able to buy anything there, Japan, Northern Gun territory, briefly in the Shemmarian Nation, and now the Federation of Magic where he's very recently arrived).

With your character's history of much traveling, you can easily justify having some odd gear from just about anywhere. Just remember that most OCC's have some starting gear that you don't have to worry about buying.

He was good that year, the present may be small but generosity behind it is always big.

*Hands Pips a nice cloth and a big fat bottle of "Bad Mofo's Character Polisher!" "Guaranteed to make your character badass and fun to play or your money back!"*

Give it a try! It worked for mine! 8D

Okay, whoa, I'm noticing the skills doc you linked in the first page is a little different than the Rifts book, at least in physical skills (bonuses are a little different, Prowl is 46% vs. 25% in Rifts, etc.). Which source trumps which source?

There are a few skills that are different from the posted list compared to the books, but overall, it is a good resource.

can you help me with that? im not quite sure what you mean

Epiphany Epiphany Hey Pips? Remember what Sherwood wrote in the Character section:

When rolling up stats, use the following rules:
If your base Attribute is a 3d6 (normal for humans), roll 4d6, rerolling 1's. With a 16, 17, or 18, add another 1d6 to your roll. IF that last die is another '6', roll another d6. This can give you a potential of a 30 on an attribute.

For non-humans (such as an Anti-Monster or Atlantian) that has a number like '19 + 1d6', roll the dice indicated, but reroll 1's and 2's.

I missed this when I was first rolling dice and had to roll more. =)

Yep, I've been doing that. Really helped with attributes. If only it'd helped with my poor PPE...(that's where I blew my 'you get one roll at max value' because I rolled a total of 2 on 2D4 x 10...).

Usually, if you have Psi powers, it will be listed in your OCC how to increase your ISP.
