All jokes aside, Komaeda's destructive behavior is actually caused by his FTD. He has the behavior variant, which means he suffers from low empathy and compulsion. This can lead to behaviors described by doctors as 'dangerous' or even 'criminal' and people with this don't recognize that something is wrong. Komaeda's obsession with his idolized version of hope forces him to make irrational decisions and he no longer has the awareness to recognize it's not okay. He just needs to be watched closely.

And perhaps not given any form of weapon, I'm sure his luck will figure it out. Give him toast instead, it's his favorite food.

The real question is, if Joker can find nothing in the pocket, how does Komaeda find anything?? LOL. Also just imagining him standing there doing nothing as Joker is doing this is stupidly funny

I like to think Komaeda is aware he is getting pickpocketed but is just watching Joker struggle. His Ultimate Luck has done some wild things in the past and while it's never reality warping, the thought of it purposely making his jacket pocket infinite just to avoid getting robbed sounds like something it would do.

Carmen finally gets Joker to walk away and just as he is about to turn around, Komaeda reaches into that same pocket and pulls out his wallet. And Joker just stands there like: "How the-"
