Exodus Orbit
The Orbital Command Module (OCM) was a system devised by the Commander to take over some of his duties, such that he wouldn't have to painstakingly manage every single unit in his army. Much like the Proxy Command Module, the OCM was comprised of a set of quantum supercomputers that coordinated the robotic units in orbit around the planet, and by extension, all of the Commander's exoatmospheric units. It detected the Star Destroyer within nanoseconds of its arrival in Rapture, and immediately ordered a squadron of twelve Omega-class battleships to intercept.
While nowhere near as huge as the massive Star Destroyer, they were still of decent size, with each ship being a little more than six hundred metres in length. Without the need for crew, the Omega packed an impressive array of weapons. Its main armaments were a pair of twin-linked heavy plasma cannons mostly used for ship-to-ship combat. These cannons were incredibly powerful, being able to demolish most other ships of its class in just a few volleys of shots. Its secondary armament comprised of a set of Tesla arc emitters, powerful shock weapons capable of destroying most ground units in a single shot. As for its tertiary armament, dozens of missile launchers that came with their upgrade pattern. Protected by a durable shielding system and equally durable armour plating, they made for deadly adversaries in combat.
They were escorted by a large number of Artemis railgun platforms, Avenger orbital fighters, and Phoenix interplanetary fighters. Supporting the units in space were a network of Anchor defence platforms and Umbrella anti-orbital terrestrial emplacements. Each unit bore the signature swirls and gear of the Vortex Syndicate.
The fleet moved towards the Star Destroyer in an intercept formation.
"Unknown ship," A communications channel was opened, and the monotonous and robotic voice of the OCM began. "Identify yourself."
