Fandom [ R W B Y ] : Beyond the Fall

Cinnamon R. Bons
Cinny perked up a bit when he saw those same big ears move the moment he said something, causing a small smile to slowly cross his face. The smile slowly disappeared however when Azure...well, the person he thought might've been Azure, didn't respond. Or move, except for the hasty grab of her companion's wrist. That...That was them right? I-It had to be...! It couldn't just be someone else! Su-Sure, the clothing was different, but the similarities were just gleaming! Metal arm, Wolf Faunus, One tall, One small. He frowned at the whispers, feeling the confidence he acquired over the year plummet a bit, now feeling like he truly was going crazy. Was his mind playing tricks on him today? He backed up a bit, scratching his head and looking down at the floor in confusion. What was going on?

Seeing a movement from the corner of his eye, he looked back up, eyes widening and hand flying to the handle of his bat when the man stood up and towered over him in one motion. His heart was jumping in his chest, and the two had a brief stare off. It was a tense situation, but in the back of his mind, Cinny saw a bit of humor in this. If this'd happen to him a year ago, he would've crumpled by now, or at least say something stupid. But constant encounters on the road and lessons learned through trial and error toughened up his backbone and reflexes, ready to fight if needed....but instead, there was no need. Staring into those violent eyes, he saw a flash of recognition, causing him to blink and slowly lower his hand. The man stepped back in return, and with a tone of disbelief, said Cinnamon's name with a smile. The hope in the young adult's heart erupted, and a bigger smile crossed his face.

I-It was them! H-He finally found them! The worth of traveling, and loneliness, and fighting for months had been confirmed! "In the flesh..." He said softly. Realizing he was just standing there now, Eph having sat down and patting the seat next to him. Ri-Right! Cinny quickly sat next to his old Teammate, still smiling. Silence grew between the three, and Cinny just stared down at the table...not knowing what to say. What COULD he say? He had been so caught up in find at least of glimpse of his team, or his family, or his friends, he didn't even think of what he'd do after he found them. He just remained silent, gathering his thoughts for a few moments, before he chuckled.

"...It's almost unfair how you guys got taller and I didn't..." Cinny said, still looking at his arms. "...But I guess as long as we're all in one piece, it doesn't matter...and I guess I sorta missed Eph's big head blocking the sun." He chuckled again. He had never really been good at Verbal jabs. "I-I...I kinda missed more than that of you guys, though. To be honest, af-after the...ya know, I thought I wouldn't see you guys again...You guys are tough, I know." He said quickly, not noticing he was still talking or how he began to tremble a bit, feelings bottled up due to his focus on searching slowly pouring out. "Bu-But everyone out there...everyone was just falling. And the Grimm, and White Fang were everywhere. Everyone was just running over each other, an-and the smoke made it hard to see, and buildings and airships were just dropping like flies. An-And they took me all the way to Mistral without me even knowing. An-And I asked the doctors where you guys were an-and they weren't saying anything an-and..." He sniffed, his eyes glazed and tears threatening to fall.

"I...I didn't want to believe you guys were dead...I-I didn't want to believe anyone I knew was..." He muttered somberly, closing his eyes and causing a few tears to slowly run down his cheeks. He sniffed again and let out a shaky breath, of both sadness and overwhelming relief.

Nyx couldnt help but feel her tail start to puff up like a cat threatning another cat with the hair rising on its back. "It makes enemies?" she watched as Joy moved closer to her. Though the kitten didnt move, keeping the Snake from getting closer to Jack. "I was under the impression it did the opposite. Dont friends tell eachother those sorts of things? Brings you closer doesnt it?" a snake-like grin grew on her face almost instantly but it hadnt phased the Fanus "I was only stating facts~" facts that were obviously getting under her partner's skin. "Bringing up the past, you say? Well theres no point in dancing around it. Whats happened, happened." Then why are you bringing it up, Joy? Nyx thought to herself. Watching as Joy moved her gaze back to Jack, she didnt stop talking "If you cant even talk about it, how do you expect to get through it,"

"Enou-"
Just before Nyx could speak, Joy had cut her off.

"I guess to each their own then~,"

This was absolutely crazy. Not to mention this was going to be a long trip gathering everyone back together to come up with a plan to take Beacon back. I should have asked Jack to find Cinny or someone else first... This might have been one of my biggest regrets yet. Granted, Joy was one of her friends in the past, but now... It was like the kitten didnt even reconize her anymore. Sure, before she was crazy but nothing like this. Feelings about Joy had to be pushed aside, no matter how much she got under their skins with her remarks and her 'facts'. Taking a deep breath, she finally relaxed her tail and heard another voice, one of which had been coming from where she had nodded earlier.

"All this talk of taking back Beacon and you don't want to include me? Pretty rude considering i'm the strongest one in this room."

Nyx looked towards the voice as Joy happily called out the name of this person.

"Silver I like this new you~ You have a great sense of humor now!" then Joy whispered to both the Kitten and Jack. "She was so uptight before."

Nyx didnt take any mind to it as she spoke "I'm sorry, Silver. I thought you seen me nod towards you. Guess you were hiding too well. Its goodt o see you again." a soft smile tugged her lips and she gave a brief nod to her. Then she watched as Silver grasped Joy's chin and began talking with her. Nyx looked at Jack for a moment and gave him a reassuring smile before returning her gaze back to the girls, to which Joy took the responsibility and tell Silver that they could talk on the ship. Then Jack's voice suddenly pushed through and told them to head out. Nodding, she moved away from Jack and made her way out "Silver, Joy, now would be the time to tell us if you know anything about our other classmates. Or the other parts of your team."

Looking over her shoulder towards the girls, she continued "If you have no information, we'll keep searching." even though trying to track down someone required patience. Something Nyx didnt have when time was short and anything could happen at any minute. Turning her attention to their escorts, she called out "Thank you, all three of you for coming out here with us today. I appreciate that." and luckily, nothing bad happened. They were going back in one piece.

(Mah post is crap, im sowwi D: )

"Touching down!" The pilot yelled over comms.

Bay: "Aw, don't worry Nyx. You know we always got your back."
The two male chuckles that crackled through the helmet comms signified that both men agreed and found it rather amusing how Nyx was still worried about them in some strange way.

Silver came down and Jack recognized her as one of the students from Joy's class. He hadn't gone into deep research on her but he had seen enough to notice her once she revealed herself. Jack was done listening to the girls bicker back and forth about coming along, talking, making plans, finding their friends or whatever else they could possibly be talking about. His mind was now preoccupied with thoughts of his headquarters and the future.

Unbeknownst to him, Nyx and Jack were on the same mental wavelength. The enemy could attack at anytime, anywhere. The 17 deaths today confirmed that.

Though as he turned to leave Joy's comment caught up with him. The human tank paused in his tracks and one could see he was contemplating whether or not to slice they snake into a bunch of bite sized cubes. Alas, he eventually sighed and followed suit after his feline companion. He raised his wrist to his head and started give instructions to the base about their new guests. He needed rooms set up and accommodations to be made for Silver and Joy's arrival. He didn't have to like either one of them and he most certainly didn't need to speak to them unless necessary. But if there was one thing his mother ever taught him, it was to always be respectful to people you bring as guests. Even if they were you worst enemy.

The roar of the ship engines was practically a godsend, as Jack stepped into the awaiting, open hatch of the transport combat vessel. He merely nodded his head to the pilot up front in greeting before sighing and bringing up his scroll again to go over the records since they had just arrived. While it hadn't been long, the numbers he was seeing were already changing and that meant he had some work to do when he got back to his office.

Jack did take some Solace in how wrong Joy was about what the Black Sentinels stood for. They were anything but upholders of justice. They were, at their core, mercenaries. He wondered when he would get a chance to throw that particular pie in her face. At this point, he'd do anything to wipe that grin off of her face and she had only been around a few minutes.

"Pile in. We already have some staff ready to receive us in the hangar and rooms are being prepped for the ladies back at base."

"Ms. Citron and Ms. Craver, grab a pair of comms off the wall and get on frequency 23. It's meant for private conversations so Ms. Belladonna and myself can't hear you." Jack said this all with a snap in his voice. No nonsense and no room for jokes. Normally. It would just sound like a soldier giving orders but considering how Joy had singed his already frayed nerves, it came out harsher than intended. Though, not like he cared what they thought of him at this point. Jack just wanted to go home and get his work done. That way he might actually be able to get some sleep and possibly even perform the ceremony for his mother personally.

Jack sat down in one of the seats and placed his large, bladed weapon beside him. Big, muscular arms crossed against his chest and he lapsed into silence. The night ahead still needed to be planned. More and more often, he found himself questioning how his mother did all this and raised a kid.

Silver Craver

"Silver, Joy, now would be the time to tell us if you know anything about our other classmates. Or the other parts of your team." Silver turned her head to Nyx. "Well I assume Morggian is dead, as for Radley.... I'm sure he's around somewhere. As for anyone else... nope." she looked to Joy. "Seems like it's just you and me."

"Ms. Citron and Ms. Craver, grab a pair of comms off the wall and get on frequency 23. It's meant for private conversations so Ms. Belladonna and myself can't hear you" Silver turned her head to look at Jack as she made her way down the stairs.

"Sir yes Sir" she gave him a grin. Once Silver was outside she stopped to collect herself. In truth it had taken a lot of self control to not snap at Snake for her laughter. It seemed Joy had forgotten just how strong Silver was. "I was chosen not her...." she shook her head. Silly pride had no place here. She was on a mission, and that mission rested on how well she could get along with Joy.

Silver found her seat and for the second she was alone settled back into a much more familiar posture. She crossed one leg over the other and started blankly out of the window not giving anyone else a care. Her mind drifted to the fox girl named Azure. Silver missed Azure greatly, it had been a few weeks since she had seen her and the fox was all Silver could really think about. "Soon.... my love... soon."

Her eyes shifted back to Joy and the others. Soon couldn't be soon enough.

"Why, whats behind me?" Ephriam asked. She didnt answer, she remained still and quiet, slowly letting go of him. She felt his guard go uo, his aura spiked its level of energy and enveloped him more than it already did. It moved quickly along his body, like a wild, white water river, agitated by thought that whats behind him could be a threat. The nikos stood out of his seat and in a quick, fluid motion, turned around just inches away from Cinny. Then suddenly, the red hot aura cooled and was once again a tranquil creek, joyous and happy to see an old friend, "Nuh uh. Cinny?"

"In the flesh..."

This was the first time in a long while that Azure felt Eph so happy. They exchanged hello's and Ephriam offered a seat beside him for Cinny. Azure still didnt turn around, her inner self cringed and wanted to run, but she managed to regain her composure on the surface. Stoic, and emotionless, she picked up her fork once again and picked up the last bite of her fluffy cakes.

Cinny broke the silence that fell onto them shortly after, "...It's almost unfair how you guys got taller and I didn't..." The old Azure would have giggled at the comment, but this Azure remained to be the silent fox. She couldve told him. That her growth was nothing but an illusion thanks to her shoes, and even with them on, she was still noticeably shorter than he was. But she said nothing... Cinny continued to carry out the single conversation between the three. Explaining his fear, his sadness with all that happened. Fearful of never seeing his friends again, denying the possibility of their death. She could hear his voice shake under his breath, her ear slightly turned toward him. And his heartbeat, she coukd hear it too. It quickened its pace as he relived the harsh year that has come to pass, as well as the day everything they knew and loved had crumbled to pieces. Innocence was stolen that day, students as young as they were, were forced to grow up and face a very harsh and unexpected reality. Its changed everyone, even Cinny. She could feel it. In his aura, his energy, he had grown stronger, to his knowledge or not.

Azure gripped her fork harder. Everythinf he felt was exactly how she felt...she just couldnt put it into words. And through his words she could tell he was crying, and it made her own eyes swell with liquid too. Thats the misfortune of being hypersensitive to energies. She often synced with them. She was an empath, to a degree, she could feel the pain and heartbreak of others as if it were own. But this time, it was her own. That was how she felt too. The fox blinked her sapphire and silver eyes under the blindfold, making them disappear. She took a deep breath and opened her small mouth for the last bite of food before placing the fork back down.

"Silver, Joy, now would be the time to tell us if you know anything about our other classmates. Or the other parts of your team."

"Parts of my team?" Joy cocked her head to the side, "Do you mean they were mutilated and torn to pieces, and now theyre parts are missing? Or by parts do you mean the members?" Sure Joy enjoyed giving others a hard time to overcome boredom, but this time she was being genuine. There was so much talk about death and destruction, her question could've very well held two different meanings. "Either way," she raised her hands and arms in a shrug, "I have no idea, I have plenty of men that have been to all sorts of places but not one of them has mentioned anything to me about student sightings."

The ship landed and everyone climbed aboard with out hesitation. "Wow," Joy looked around, tapping a knuckle on one of the walls from the inside, "Nice piece of metal, where in Atlas did you steal this from?" She joked. Jack didnt really know Joy or Silver and already began to stand over everyone as if he were running a military operation. Joy on the other, did not respond with the same tone. The way she saw it, Jack and Nyx came to Joy, they collected her, and obviously needed her. The snake wasnt one for following orders too well, and if she did, it was on her own terms.

"Ms. Citron and Ms. Craver, grab a pair of comms off the wall and get on frequency 23. It's meant for private conversations so Ms. Belladonna and myself can't hear you."

Joy turned her head to the side and spotted the little earpiece charging in its port with a blinking light that turned off as soon as she disconnnected it from its little pod. She pinched the small knob and turned it before looking at Jack and Nyx, "Mind if I check out the cockpit?" she raised an eyebrow. Joy was a sucker for anything that involved technology or electricity, it was her element, the thing she did best. She can take a part, build together, upgrade, use parts, the list goes on. She was quite resourceful, and enthusiastic about that stuff. Before leaving atlas, she was offered internships and projects, but turned them down to attend beacon. Besides, Joy wasnt smart, it was just away for them to use her to say that "they own her" so she can do what they want. The girl didnt need credibility, she didnt want it. She knew what she was cabable of, and if she didnt recognition for it, she was fine. Joy put her hands up, palms facing forward before moving them behind her back, "I promise I wont touch anything~?"

Silver Craver
"You'll literally touch everything." Silver thought to herself as she watched Joy eagerly look around the air ship. It wasn't as if Silver wasn't good with technology. Atlas was famed for being the best in the world when it came to high tech goodies. When she still went by Claire she did live a normal life in a small rural village away from all that, but after the gangs had taken her in and she started living in the heart of the city, she like the others became a child raised in this tech heavy world.

She wasn't on Joy's level no, but the young woman knew her way around computers. She was never good with weapons because she was a walking breathing weapon, but she was good with making practical things, such as smoke bombs, flash bangs and a nifty little air powered gun that had tanq darts in it for her kidnapping missions. She could get a half assed communication blocker up and running if given the parts.

Silver stood and walked over grabbing the com and placing it in her ear. She turned it to the same frequency that Jack had told her to so it was just her and Joy. As of now it was still just her and Joy in the air ship. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath. If you didn't know any better it would seem like she was a performer getting ready to go on stage.

Her eyes opened and she was like a different person, back to the Silver who had talked with Joy and the others. She slinked over and gently wrapped her hands around Joy's waist. "You know Joy... you keep ignoring me. It's almost like you don't like me or something. I know we fought, but thats in the past right? You're a smart woman you should listen to my offer. "she leaned close placing her chin on Joy's shoulder so she could whisper the last part in her ear.

"You always do what's best for you, so how about you join me and the winning team?" she grinned.

Nyx smiled towards Bay and the others "And I'll always have yours." she replied back, getting into the airship and moving towards one of the many seats, only the pause and look over her shoulder for just a moment due to Silver catching her attention. So, Morggian would probably dead -According to Silver- and Radley was out somewhere. This meant that it was time to go back to the drawing board and wait to find the next person. Nyx glanced at Jack as he gave the orders for the newest allies and tell them to grab some comms off the wall. Joy, however, was being a smartypants about her team but the results from her were that she knew nothing of her team. Well that was fantastic... Maybe it was time for Nyx to start putting names in of her team? Or the people she knew of? I hope we can find almost everyone... Nyx knew that not everyone survived the fall. Many fell, many escaped. It was such chaos that no one knew who lived and who died till someone bore the news and status on said people.

Taking a seat by her partner with a light jingle of her bell, she leaned her head back against the metal wall and looked towards Joy who asked about checking out the cockpit and spoke "I wouldnt do that if I were you, Joy." the kitten said "When we land, it's possible you can go and have a ball in there..." she then added "But it's not up to me, it's up to the boss." she nodded slightly to Jack "What he says, goes." Most of the time... she silently added because sometimes she didnt listen to her partner. Nyx pulled out her scroll and stared at it for a moment before unlocking it and going through her contacts, looking for her father's name and once she did, she tapped it and sent a message and ended it with a heart before closing her scroll and putting it away. "Jack, was Joy the only person we were able to locate thus far? The other names I've given you, were they not found yet?" probably not...But hey, during the time they were gone, it was possible that someone else had been found, right?

(dbhgkihclkhjfds its short im sorry D: )

Jack's gaze moved over to Joy's questioning form and stared for a moment before waving his armored hand dismissively. "Ms. Citron, I'm well aware of your considerable skill where technology is involved. So you have free reign. Just don't bother the pilot in anyway. I don't want to this ship we built to turn into a ball of fire and crash into the ground. Our truce with Atlas is tentative as is." Jack wanted to say how wrong she was about the Black Sentinels working for Atlas or how she thought they were some kind of protectors of justice. They weren't but if Joy was half the cunning intellect he thought she was, she would be able to pick up on what he was implying when he said that.

Jack's eyes narrowed suspiciously at Silver as she wrapped her arms around the snake faunus's impressive waist. If they weren't on the job, Jack might have found himself staring at that particular scene but the show of....closeness was completely out of character from what Jack knew about the woman. She had a similar upbringing to Jack, though Jack's was far more militaristic and official. In essence they were both mercenaries but Silver's personality, according to her dossier, was more like Jack's. Yet, right now she was acting more like Joy. The commander knew people changed but this was a bit much. What had happened? And what could she possibly want to say in private to someone like Joy.

Eventually, the merc just shook his head and quickly made a log on his scroll to keep an eye on them both. A very close eye.

"Joy is the first one we were able to confirm. Sightings and rumors of the others crop up all the time and there are two that I know for sure where they are but they dont want to be found. A personal request of theirs."

"The next person we have a lock on is a certain girl wearing a rabbit hoodie in a village some travel away. Seems like she is on her own." Aero Aero

The young man reached up to his helmet, the sound of metal clinking lightly against itself as gauntlets made contact with the helm. He spent a moment carefully removing the armor piece, revealing the exhausted, battle worn soldier beneath. Somehow, Jack looked even worse than when they left. With the shadows under his black irises accenting each other almost perfectly. Tired, black hues slid over to his partner and he tapped her thigh twice with a drained smile. "We'll find them, Ms. Belladonna. I promise you." If there was one thing anyone could know about Jack, his word was as strong as his semblance. Unbreakable.

"I wouldnt do that if I were you, Joy."

"Oh?"

"When we land, it's possible you can go and have a ball in there...But it's not up to me, it's up to the boss. What he says, goes."

Joy pouted, sticking her lip out at the cat with hands on her hips, 'Gee youre a stickler...' she thought then turned her attention to the male "in command", dismissing Nyx.

She waited eagerly for her answer, hands still behind her back, looking up at the armored man and batting her eyelashes like a child waiting for candy. She perked up when the metal knight waved his hand, "Ms. Citron, I'm well aware of your considerable skill where technology is involved. So you have free reign. Just don't bother the pilot in anyway. I don't want to this ship we built to turn into a ball of fire and crash into the ground. Our truce with Atlas is tentative as is."

Joy mocked a gasp and put a hand to her chest, "How offensive. I would never~ If anything I can make this piece of tin fly twice as fast than it is now! Make it burn to the ground, pffff, please~ You underestimate me... that could be dangerous~" she smiled slyly, her tone had grown darker with the last half of her sentence. But as usual, the attitude took a full 180, and she was bubbly once again, "But! What ever you say~" she clicked her heels, puffed her chest out and arched her back, bringing a hand up to her forehead, "Aye aye cap'n," and finished with a wink.

The faunus spun on her heels and began to walk briskly to the cock pit...till she was stopped. Joy froze when she felt something constrict around her cinched waist. Her eyes widened for a moment, those slitted pupils shrinking thinner. Like other snakes, she wasnt a fan of being touched...unless she allowed you. But the female relaxed once she realized it was a friend and not a foe. Sort of. "You know Joy... you keep ignoring me. It's almost like you don't like me or something. I know we fought, but thats in the past right?"

"We fought?" Her light voice chimed with disbelief, "Oh! I knew I was just playin with ya~ didnt realize we were fighting," she giggled with innocence.

"You're a smart woman you should listen to my offer."

"Offer, hm?" Joy took Silver's hands and peeled them off of her. She turned and crossed her arms over her barely covered chest and leaned on one leg, one round hip popping out to one side, "What exactly do you have in mind?" The snake's grin grew wide, stretching almost ear to ear, just like her reptilian brethren.

Nyx softly nodded, a little upset that two of the people requested to not be found. Well that was another two people off her list... But Jack's next words made a small smile tug her lips "A girl wearing a white rabbit hoodie... Okay. Well then we'll get her next. Hopefully we dont spook her when we arrive." She watched as her partner began to pull off his helmet, only to reveal that he looked part of the dead. He really hadnt gotten any sleep and it was taking a large toll on his appearance. Nyx was gonna have to knock him out with something because knowing him...he wont sleep properly at all and get a good night's rest. How she was able to sleep? She had no idea, it just came naturally to her despite recent events and was able to wake up at her usual time. Though sometimes she required coffee or Catnip to stay awake for the day.

He tapped her thigh and regained her focus "Thanks, Jack." she gave him a warm smile and gently bumped her shoulder with his because if she went any harder, she'd probably break her shoulder with that armor on him "When we get back you're going to take a nap. You look like you just rose back from the dead. No Offense." she laughed and shook her head, "Hopefully the girls will like it back at HQ." Nyx knew she liked HQ, it was different but it also housed a lot of people who enjoyed her company and her enthusiasm. Even her aid in missions or plans. That is...if they let her help. Tomorrow I believe we'll be getting that Bunny-hoodied girl. I also think I should start working out plans for how we'll get our home back...A map, plans A through C. she thought to herself as she looked down at her hands before lifting her head to look at their three escorts "Cookie, Bay, Helix, I got a favor to ask later on today. I'll come to you guys when I'm ready to let you know." with that said, the kitten didnt say anything more.

Silver Craver
We fought? "Oh! I knew I was just playin with ya~ didnt realize we were fighting," Inwardly Silver was rolling her eyes. "I don't want to know what you consider fighting if that was playing." She thought to herself, but didn't let this obvious discomfort show. She looked at the the snake who was now smiling from ear to ear. Silver didn't like this, not one bit.

"What exactly do you have in mind?" Silver very neatly shoved her hands in her pockets. and gave a sly grin. She had caught the notion that she was being watched by a certain hardass. In reality she didn't think she hated Jack. He would have been a ideal ally. Tough, strong, reliable and most importantly, he would stay out of her business. He worked well with the cat. They had a good dynamic working out. Silver was sure she would help him in some journey of self discovery are something.Well if this was some sort of drama that is. Silver wouldn't mind being in a drama, it was better than this.

Now back to the mission at hand. "Jack is bringing us to war, to take beacon back from those mean people!" she pumped her fist in the air with mock enthusiasm. "You aren't a good guy Joy, you're above good and evil, but if you did choose a side to stand on we all know which one you'd pick." Silver took a step closer and her grin grew. "Joy looks out for Joy, even when we shared a team banner. I don't hold any ill will towards you for that, but lets face facts. " she picked up one of her hands and held it out.

"So on one hand, you can help Jack take back beacon and then go back to whatever you were doing and possibly face a new batch of huntresses that'll come after you. More headache for you right? I can offer you a position with the new rulers of this world. A position that would allow you to do whatever you want, but also offer you security." Silver's eyes glowed a soft silver now. "Why take back beacon when you can simply join the side who has it"

After a short amount of time had passed, the shuttle made it to the base without issue and the hangar doors opened up to greet the new arrivals. Everything went through standard procedure of docking, codes being issued back and forth between pilot and control, eventually leading to the ship docking in its home.

The escort that had been tasked with protecting the commander and his partner took their leave but not before expressing their obvious enthusiasm for whatever master plots the feline faunus had in mind. They were always an easily excitable bunch. "Alright, Ms. Carver and Ms. Citron. You will both be treated as guests here at the base and rooms have already been prepared for both of you. While you will be treated with respect, be aware this is Black Sentinel Headquaters and that means the rules we have here are to be followes without exception." The armored man sent a pointed glare at Joy before continuing, his rugged face hard and serious. "Standard procedure upon arrival or return is to leave your weapons in the care of my engineers. They will run repairs and keep them safe during your stay here. You have no need to worry about security and safety here because that is what we excel at. We are number 1 in the world in terms of security."

"Second, is that we must all move to the scan room to make sure none of us have any tracking devices or bugs on us or in us. After that, you can get settled in and I believe Ms. Belladona will offer you the tour."

Without pause he turned to his wrist comm and spoke to the command center, "Commander Onyx. We have two guests here as you have heard. All members are to treat them with upmost respect but regard them as High Risk Profiles. That is all." A 'yes sir' was heard through the comms for a second before Jack turned to the women, "It's because I don't trust either of you and both of your dossiers state that you are volatile. I wont risk my operation being compromised on good will."

The moment Jack stopped talking the crew arrived on swift feet to relieve everyone of their weapons and place them into big cases, similar to how Nyx's weapons have been given back to her everytime she went out. Wordlessly, the commander of the entire base placed his weapon in the long case designed for his blade. He then outstretched his arms as staff quickly got to work on removing the armor his body. As they worked on removing the chest piece, it was clear as day that a good portion of his left side was wet, even through the black fabric. Though it wasn't until a staff member went to remove the shirt and felt the liquid, pulling his hand back to look at it and his limb came back with crimson smeared on it.

"Sir! You're wounded!" Jack looked to the man slightly confused and as he pulled off the undershirt, he visibly set his teeth against the pain the movement caused. When his eyes fell on the cause of his pain, he realized it was a wound he received from a previous outing. The bandages were soaked through and it seemed tha today's movements caused it to re-open.
"It's nothing. Just an old injury that opened up again. Ill go have it looked at by a medic so they can redress it." It was a superficial wound but it was of considerable size, reaching from his obliques up and twisting around to his back, ending at his shoulder blade. It was what caused his pain when Nyx woke him up.

"Leave the uniform for later then. I don't want to bloody it." So, Jack continued without missing a beat towards the scanning room. One of the staff had taken the bloodied shirt off to be cleaned so Jack crossed his massive arms across his chest and gestured with a nod for the ladies to step into the room. His etiquette still remaining strong, "Ladies, if you will..."

As soon as the ship landed, Nyx stood up from her seat and stretched out her limbs. Taking in a deep breath before letting it out "Home sweet home." she said, moving towards the open doors and stepping out into the home that the ship sat in "Hey guys!" she waved towards their fellow Co-workers "Mission was a success." the Faunus moved right towards an open case which was specially designed for her blade. Lifting her hand, she reached behind her, grasped the grip of her blade, and pulled it off from her back. Only to put it gently in the case and make sure it was in properly before lifting her dress a little to pull the dust cartdriges from the small belt around her thigh. Once those had been placed in the case as well, she fixed her dress and closed up the case, locking it up and patting the top "Alright, good to go." with that, she turned towards her partner who was standing in a pose in which allowed workers to pull pieces of his armor one by one "Seems you got a pit crew there, commander." she joked, walking by him and towards the scan room to be checked out. But she stopped as soon as she heard a comrade claim that Jack was hurt.

Nyx turned and looked towards her partner as his shirt had been removed, revealing red soaked bandages. He was wounded, yes, but he was also bleeding hevily. Just how much blood did he lose while on that mission the entire time? He should hav- That's why he looked like he just woke up from the dead. He was losing blood since probably this morning, but yet he kept moving around like if nothing was wrong! This stubborn bastard. These were times where she would scold him like a mother would to her child but she knew that he really didnt listen to her on such a degree. The smell of blood finally caught up with her nose, the metalic smell filling her nose as she turned her face away from the direction as if it would help He's acting so casual about this whole thing. If I were him, I would be losing my mind. heck, she probably would have fainted while on that mission if she lost that much blood... Guess he proved to be a warrior no matter what condition he was in.

He then proceeded to walk as if nothing were wrong and he nodded to the scanning room to be checked, allowing the two new guests to go inside first. Nyx turned her attention back to Jack "You're absolutely crazy, Jack." she said with a shake of her head "Now I know why you look the way you look now. You lost so much blood since probably earlier today. Once we're done here, go straight for the medic bay and get yourself hooked up to a blood bag or something." with that said, she walked into the scanning room and looked behind her "Silver, Joy, C'mon. It's not so bad." she teased, trying to make the air a little less awkward and tense.

Ephraim Nikos
Where: Diner
With: Azure Fenrir Fluffy-Kat Fluffy-Kat and Cinnamon Bons Sugary_Paragraphs Sugary_Paragraphs

Ephraim listened to Cinny in silence, occasionally sipping his refilled coffee. It was the only thing keeping him awake. Adrenaline and caffeine. And alcohol to counter those effects so he could sleep. It was a prescription from a professional. Himself. It worked. It had kept Azure and himself alive for the past year.

That train of thought got interrupted. Something entered his bubble, which extended past the wall outside the shop. And it entered with violent speed. Ephraim didn't have the time to look and see what it was, but nothing headed for a building that fast was ever a good thing. And not to mention it's trajectory would be bringing it roughly where the three of them sat. Shit.

Ephraim reached across the table and wrapped his scarred, fleshed fist in Azure's shirt. His metal hand grabbed the side of Cinny's head. He shoved Cinny to the floor next to the table, and yanked Azure to the ground as gently as he could with such urgency. Then he dove to the ground over them as the missile hit the wall of the diner, showering them in debris, noise, and a brief searing heat.

The table smashed into Ephraim's shoulder's, using him as a springboard over the bar and into the kitchen. That was going to leave a hell of a bruise. And then the edge of the table clipped the side of his head, insult to injury. A trail of blood instantly poured from his temple, and dripped all over the two beneath him as he shoved himself to his feet with all the force he could muster.

Damn. Eight seconds in and he was already dizzy. But that was fine. Ephraim did better under pressure. He staggered up to the door, breathing slowly and deeply to offset the sudden lightheaded feeling. Possible concussion. Moderate bleeding. His whole body was sore, as per the status quo lately, but his shoulders were on fire. And he still hadn't had the time to forge himself a new weapon since Harpe shattered at Beacon.

'Assessment complete. Gonna win, but it's gonna suck.'

He made it to the door as a pair of white fang idiots walked in. Ephraim's right fist met the closest one's jaw, his whole body doing a quick twist to add to Ephraim's mechanical arm's considerable strength. The blow landed with enough force to snap his neck, among other cranial effects. His left deftly came down and grabbed the limp neck of the poor bastard, and threw the corpse at it's still living amigo.

Predictably, the man panicked. Amateur. Instead of finishing with drawing his weapon, he let go of the weapon and used his hands to shove the body away. His guard was down. Ephraim's next attack came as a swift reminder why that's a terrible combat strategy. His left palm crushed his enemy's skull, using the door frame as a solid framework for efficient, messy destruction.

His shoulders seared with burning pain with each of those blows, but his self prescribed adrenaline had taken care of the lightheaded feeling. Two down in 20 seconds. Damn he was cool. He shoved his way out the doors, and took a brief assessment of the-

Another projectile entered his bubble, and he tilted himself several degrees to the right to avoid it. An arrow embedded itself into the plate glass door behind him.

'I should forge a bow. Bows are bad ass. Harpe 2.0-'

That brief casual thought was also interrupted, by a beeping on the arrow.

'Of course.'

Ephraim threw himself backwards off the stairs, his arms crossing over his upper torso and face as the arrow-shaped grenade, which was f*ckin' clever, blew up. It was a much smaller explosion than the rocket, but Ephraim was close enough to be blasted into the bushes. He quickly rolled out of them and regained his feet, his flame-resistant clothing smoking and reeking but still mostly intact.

"If they blew up the motel, I'mma be pissed. All my sh*t's still there." He muttered as he pulled out his scroll to send a brief voice clip to Azure.

"There's a bowman and the rpg guy on the roof. I'm going for them. You've got four in the street and two entering the diner through the new door. There's probably more. Somewhere. We need to get our sh*t from the motel and get out town. Now."

He stuffed the scroll back into his pocket and ran to the building across the street, ignoring those in the road. They couldn't be his problem. Not when heavy explosives were in play. Ephraim was overall the best suited to deal with artillery. Within seconds, Ephraim was on the roof, and bearing down on said artillery.

She shouldve felt it coming. The sound of malicious footsteps, the hostile auras surrounding the diner, and the lethal projectile that was barreling straight for them. So why didnt she? Her mind was cluttered with the words of Cinny, as well as his feelings. Which clogged her senses from reaching her brain and notifying her of the dangers around them. But Ephriam felt it, and it was a good thing he did.

Azure's shirt was yanked downward, catching her by suprise, she was pulled off the stool she sat on and down to the floor, landing on the side of her hip and leg. Then, in no less of a second, the explosion kicked down the walls, and the heat that came with it was unbareably hot and unforgiving, sorching everything with in a certain radius. Debris and furniture flew and shot out in all directions, large pieces of shrapnel followed it, making the air dangerous to even stand in. It happened too fast for Azure to comprehend what had just happened. The loud boom and shocked and numbed her ear drums. The blast shook the whole structure they were in. The fox raised her head, her pure, snow white hair now tainted with ash and soot from what ever burned, and her clothes reflected the same look, but with holes and tears, some cuts open under the tattered clothing. She opened her two-toned eyes to see Cinny and Eph with her, close together for protection. Fluffy white ears remained flat on her head as the ringing continued. She shifted her self and brought a hand to her head. Azure brought her legs closer, scraping against shattered glass that was under, feeling the sharp sting of a needle when ever a piece poked itself into her skin and clung on for dear life. The fox winced from the scattered pain over her legs. Her voice sounded muffled, like she was speaking underwater, "Are you both unharmed?" she asked, and gasping when she realized she couldnt even hear herself speak. How was she supposed to function? Her ears worked as eyes for the blind fox, as well as her semblance. Both worked as a pair of eyes, and now she felt as though she only had one remaining. A panic quickly surged through her body, but she ignored it with the will of her mind. She would just have to work with what shes got.

Rising to her feet, she held onto what ever remained of the counter to help herself up. Her legs ached and trembled from the bits of glass in them, but adrenaline had already begun to take its course and act as an organic nullifier for the pain. She can feel larger bits of glass and other debris snapping under her feet with her weight. Turning aroumd to face the others and catching a whiff of the blood that leaked from Ephriam's head. But there was more than she feared and it wasnt his. The sensitive nose twitched and followed the smell, looking down at hee own torso, was a sharp, shred of metal that had pierced through her side. Luckily, it was so close to the edge of the side of her stomach it got mostly skin and muscle, missing the internal organs that were just a few centimeters beside it, but it still hurt like a bitch. Azure cried out in disbelief and agony once she saw it was there. Her hands shook as they circled the metal, debating whether to pull it out and be done with it, or endure the pain that comes with pulling it out. Tears ran down her face from under the blindfold, not from fear or from the catastrophe that had just taken place, but from the wound at her side. The level of pain made her want to throw up.

Her ears perked up as they regained their function and picked up the sounds of their stalkers. She looked up to see Eph standing in the doorway and greeted by the familiar uniforms of the White Fang. Staccato breaths heaved her chest as she turned her attention back to the problem at hand. What was she going to do. Some blood trickled from the wound and was absorbed by the threads of her clothes but the only thing that kept the liquid from gushing out was that piece of shrapnel.

Her aura sent shivers along her body as it sensed more hostiles coming in. She had no time. She could see them. Azure closed her eyes and with the help of her semblance, her brain had began to make a map. She could sense everything in the room and what occupies outside of it to a certain proximity. Eph had defeated the two enemies in under 30 seconds, cutting through them like a sword a paper, good thatll keep em busy for a while and would by her some time. She dashed for the kitchen doors behind the counter and turned on the gas-powered stove. A flame lit and the fox rummaged for a knife. She opened the cabinets and pulled everything out. Nothing. She searched the tops of the counters and still nothing. Azure opened a drawer full of utensils and other cutlery, before grabbing hold of a small steak knife. Bingo. Swiftly moving back to the stove, her tiny hands shook as she held the blade over the open flame. Looking down as she waited, to eye the wound. It didnt take long for the edge of the knife to glow red from the heat. One hand firmly grabbed the heated knife, while the other hovered over the metal at her side.

One. Two. Three.

Azure close her eyes and quickly pulled the foreign body, as straight as she could, out of her. She let go of a painful scream and her bloodied hand opened its palm to drop the piece, making it clang onto the ground, a coat of her blood painted on it. Grabbing a towel that hung on the handle of the oven, she stuffed it in her mouth. Both hands now held the hot knife, unstoppable tears rushing down her face, and her breathing had picked up its pace. She looked down at the hole in her side, the blood pouring now. Wasting no time, she turned the knife to the side and pressed the flat side of the blade onto the skin, her free hand pinching the skin together. Azure bit down onto the towel and let out another scream in pain, now quieted by the cloth in her mouth. The hot knife melted her skin together, a make-shift suture, for the time being. One hole down, one more to go. She raised the knife to see her skin fused and molten, sobbing and weeping, knowing she had to do it one more time. She turned her body slightly to she the other side of the puncture that was in back of her, still at hee side. Taking a beep breath and holding it, she held her skin together once more.

One. Two. Three. Go.

The heat melted her skin shut once more, the fox's face now red from the intensity of the pain. Her heart rate was through the roof, it was a wonder how she didnt pass out from blood loss, pain, or the heart palpatations. Thanks adrenaline.

BOOM.

Another explosion, but significantly smaller. She dropped the knife onto the ground and took a minute to gather herself. Legs and and arms shaking like leaves in crisp autumn air. Holding onto the stove, then a table, then the wall, she stumbled and trudged back into the diner.

What a terrible time to be wounded. Taking a moment to let the pain cease by just a little, she wiped the sweat that beaded on her forehead from her self-healing and took a deep breath that filled her chest and slowly let it out, simultaneously removing her pistols from their holsters behind her. "There's a bowman and the rpg guy on the roof. I'm going for them. You've got four in the street and two entering the diner through the new door. There's probably more. Somewhere. We need to get our sh*t from the motel and get out town. Now."

"Consider their heads already mounted on your mantle," she managed to hiss through the winces and weak, shaky voice.

The adrenaline, she knew, was already helping, and with out it she probably wouldve been unconscious right now. "Cinny. Come with me, we have to get our things and I can not do this by myself," she stopped to squeak out a wince and hold her stomach, "Not in this state anyway," she muttered. She hated feeling helpless, that was the old Azure, the new Azure had improved immensely and now her wound has hindered her ability to prove that to herself. Taking one gun in each hand she aimed for the hole, or the "new door" and Eph called it, in the wall of the diner. She could see their colored auras through the walls just about to come out from behind it. She was ready, you cant hide from the eyes that acted as radars.

Boom. Boom.

Both bodies fell to the ground with a thud in the dust and atop the debris, right as they stepped into her line of "vision" vulnerable and out from the protection of the wall. "Lets go," she nodded to Cinny, and walked carefully to avoid pain, through the hole and toward the motel. She picked up her pace to a light jog, one hand holding her side to prevent any muscle tissue from falling out with the movement. This was not going to be easy........

"You aren't a good guy Joy, you're above good and evil, but if you did choose a side to stand on we all know which one you'd pick."

"We do~?" She smiled.

"Joy looks out for Joy, even when we shared a team banner. I don't hold any ill will towards you for that, but lets face facts."

Joy shrugged, "I admit I do what i want. I dont trust anyone else to get jobs done, besides its a lot more fun to do it by yourself~."

"So on one hand, you can help Jack take back beacon and then go back to whatever you were doing and possibly face a new batch of huntresses that'll come after you. More headache for you right? I can offer you a position with the new rulers of this world."

"Oh?" The snake raised her hand under her chin to seem interested.

"A position that would allow you to do whatever you want, but also offer you security."

Joy's snake-like grin stretched across her face slyly. Those pedatory, rosey red eyes narrowed, the slitted pupils barely showing while she showed off her fanged teeth, "A position hm?" Her voice had grown dark and carniverous, yet remained warm and silky like the serpent temptress she is. She flicked her long white braid over her shoulder, letting it fall onto her back, with one hand before putting them on the curves of her hips and sauntering over to Silver. She circled her, like stalking prey, "You know whats funny? This whole...position thing. A position means getting hired. Getting hired means following orders, and quite frankly, working for someone else, well..." she stopped and rested her hands on Silver's shoulders firmly, constricting her brute, inhuman strength on the other girl, but restrained enough to do no harm. She quickly leaned in, over Silver's shoulder to whisper directly into her hear. Her lips were just centimeters away from the girl's earlobe, and her words oozed out from her lips like a poisonous kiss, "I dont like being told what to do. Like you said, Joy only looks our for Joy. I do what I want to get what I want. Theres nothing else to it. No schemes or plans, I just go for what i currently crave. What interests me." Her bedroom eyes slithered over to Jack, who was a distance away speaking to Nyx, and locked on with the same predatory intent as she had with Silver. Her tongue ran over the points of her fangs as she smiled at the sight of him, helmetless, bloody and rugged, but still carried an ambience on power and strength. "I only follow those that have what I want....for the time being," she admitted to Silver, eyes still on the only male in this company (besides his little pawns), "and what I want is something that pleases me rather than benefits me," she hinted, "thats the difference between most people that seek out what they want and me." The snake sighed, "But, once I get bored, I bite hand that feeds me, and move on to the next thing I want." She let go of the girls shoulders and opened her arms, "Unless your people have what I want I'll remain here," she walked backwards toward Jack, and jerked her head in his direction while still facing her former teammate, "Until I get what I currently want," and ended with a wink, turning around to face Jack and approaching him once again. "Show me they have what I want."

It was guessing game now, what did Joy want? What does she desire? What interests her?

The ship's hull creaked and moaned as it landed in their base. Joy stood near Jack, arms crossed with a confident smile, as the mechanisms and hydraulics of the door hissed open. Jack turned to both Joy and Silver, announcing that their rooms had already been prepared and mentioned a little note about the strict rules of the place before shooting a carefully aimed glace at Joy. To which she responded with a giggle in her throat and returned the eye contact. A sign of challenge amongst alpha's, in the wild world. Joy was never one for rules, and liked to push their boundries, seems like this would be no different. "Standard procedure upon arrival or return is to leave your weapons in the care of my engineers. They will run repairs and keep them safe during your stay here. You have no need to worry about security and safety here because that is what we excel at. We are number 1 in the world in terms of security."

Joy scrunched her nose. Her weapons were her children, the product of a technologically genius mind, the fruit of her digitally intuned talent. Weapons, mechanics, and tech were her elements. Both gauntlets served as weapons but one served as her everyday gadget. It held a touch pad, and served as a computer, communicator, ran diagnostics and worked as an analyst, it held all the information to her current projects and previous projects, and most importantly served as her main tool for gathering info and getting into reserved places via hacking. Seconds with in HQ and she already wasnt a fan. She sighed, having no choice to comply. But she remained unbeaten, the touch pad only served as a multi-tool for convinence, like a swiss army knife: it has one purpose but several functions. Joy didnt really need it, she can do everything it can do on her own, and more. I mean....she did program it after all. The female faunus touched buttons and powered down the weapons/gadget, and proceeded to take them off. Jack moved on to explain that they would move into another phase of precaution. They would be scanned for any tracking devices or bugs that may be on them. Joy snickered, "If you wanted to see whats under my clothes, Commander, you need only ask~" she teased, getting her fun out of this, "I'd be more than happy to comply," she continued with her little flirtatious display. Jack spoke into his comms once more before looking at the two women and speaking directly to them once more, "It's because I don't trust either of you and both of your dossiers state that you are volatile. I wont risk my operation being compromised on good will."

Joy placed her hands behind her back and let out a cute giggle of amusement, "Your smartest decision yet, Id say~"

Immediately following Jack's debriefing, foot soldiers came to follow through with the instructions they were given. Joy's face lit up with the men surrounding her, "This whole place is a sausage factory," she joked the tippy toed over the shoulder of the guy recieving her weapons and placing them in a case, "I think i'll like it here~" she said with out shame to Jack and Nyx. As they took their weapons, the snake's shifty eyes took a good look at the case that contained her most prized posessions and imprinted it into her memory. Jack's men began to aid in taking off his heavy armor, revealing the fleshy vulnerability of the Commander. "Oh, so youre not a tin man! Before you took your helmet off I thought may be you were some sort of robot," she joked while his men expressed concerns of his wounds. Jack dismissed them and continued to lead the faunus into another room, where she assumed, the scanning would take place. Another staff member removed the bloodied shirt of the soldier to reveal a well trained body, "Most certainly not a tin man," Joy mumbled quietly to herself and Silver, granted she was listening at all. "Ladies, if you will..."

"Silver, Joy, C'mon. It's not so bad."

The serpent waved her hand dismissively to Nyx's little remark with a smile. She stepped forward, the bottom of her braid swinging over the arch of her back with the rocking motion of her hips as her heels clicked the floor with each step, "Should I strip too, Commander~?" she asked, playfully lowering one of the straps to her dress off her shoulder as she passed him and awaited to be checked.

Silver and Joy kept whatever conversation they had going and Jack had half of mind to start recording the conversation on that channel but resisted the urge to do so. He had much more respect than that and his irritability was largely due to his wounds and severe lack of sleep.

A harsh sigh escaped the lead mercenary as the ladies put their weapons away. Joy was visibly suspicious of the treatment of her equipment and that was completely understandable. If their positions were reversed, Jack would never have relinquished his weapon. It seemed like the serpent was the more trusting of the two. Even if it was only because it aligned with whatever twisted motives she had in her head. Though, the snake faunus's constant teasing was grating on Jack's already frayed nerves and it visibly showed as his face began to scrunch up in the beginnings of anger.

Luckily, Nyx was there to the rescue and her comment of him being completely insane brought some measure amusement to Jack. "I can't very well let my partner go on a dangerous mission because of a scratch now can I?" He said with a bit of humor in his voice but the expression didn't match. Hot, black hues were still focused on the damn snake and her incessant teasing. Jack had to slow his breathing to maintain his composure once more, the evidence of his anger coming out in a slightly faster trickle of blood running down his side due to a rise in his heart rate.

"I'll try and do that Ms. Belladonna." He replied to the feline woman when she told him to visit the medic to get a blood transfusion. Though, Jack honestly didn't believe he was going to do that. There was too much to do. Too much paperwork and micromanagement of his forces across all of Remnant. It's not like Jack had an assistant to take care of that stuff. The Onyx family always forbid such a staff member.

"Tin man."

The words made the large, muscular young man's eye twitch in irritation. More teasing, more looks coming from the damned snake. Jack could not mentally or verbally express how much he could not deal with this woman's flirty remarks for much longer.

"Should I strip too, Commander~?" She asked in a sultry voice and whether it be to exhaustion, blood loss, or simply because Joy was that damn attractive, Jack's eyes initially filled with rage but quickly faded as he for a moment..... a solid second and a half..... his instinct took over and he looked at exactly what Joy was offering with her teases and flirtatious behavior. No heterosexual male could gaze upon Joy Citron and deny her beauty. Coupled with a confidence and oozing sexuality, Jack wasn't surprised this worked almost every man she encountered.

However, Jack wasn't most men.

His eyes quickly shot back up and a low grumble resounded in his chest. Verbal frustration but not at the snake this time. This time it was with himself. He was far more tired than he thought if he was giving into instinct. The sentinel's tan eyelids slowly closed for a moment as he took a deep breath to collect himself. He wasn't about to allow himself to fall into her pace in his own damn base. Slowly, his eyes reopened and he followed after the women once they all entered.

"Initiate the scan." The commander barked out and almost instantly, the room was flooded with concentrated pale, blue light rays. These lasers moved vertically over the small group twice and then a second set scanned them horizontally. All was silent before a small beep and a green light on the opposite door notified them that the scan was complete and there were no anomalies within the group.

The bloodied man stepped through the doors first into the bustling atmosphere of Black Sentinel Headquarters. Humans and Faunus, men and women alike in Military uniforms zipped back and forth like drones in a hive. State of the art tech covered the vast majority of the main hall and multiple operators taking up every screen, speaking quickly into their microphones. Even more than operators were the heavily armed guards that were stationed at every corner. Equally armed patrols moved through the adjacent hallways along with engineers, mechanics, techs, and off duty soldiers.

Despite all of this activity, every single body froze in place, and turned to the group coming in. All eyes went to the commander and a almost simultaneous salute was given by every person in sight. "Commander Sir!" All activity froze just for this and they remained like statues until the 19 year old returned the salute.
"At ease!" Jack yelled, his voice carrying through the base as if he spoke through a microphone. Powerful, crisp, and full of authority.

At once, everyone returned to their duties or whatever conversations they may have been having at the time. Jack then turned to step in front of the women,
"Welcome to Black Sentinel Headquarters." His deep voice said casually.

Almost immediately, a woman dressed in a snow white lab coat practically sprinted into Jack, stopping just before she made contact with him. A deer faunus with green eyes full of worry,
"Commander! I told you not to-" Her eyes flicked to bloodied bandages and back up to Jack's, now full of what one could only describe as fury. "They told me that Commander Onyx was a bloody mess and now I can see they weren't joking! Dammit Jack, I told you not to push yourself!" She screeched at the young man, causing him to visibly recoil as if he had been physically whipped. "Janus, listen I-"

"You disobeyed the instruction of the head of medicine! The lead doctor! Me! I should rip you a wound so bad you'll have no choice but to stay in bed. Poison you while I am at it! You're mother is probably rolling over in her grave at your stupidity!!!" The verbal lashing caused some staff to look on in shock but the more experienced ones just snickered as the doctor laid into him. Apparently, this was normal.

The commander of the entirety of the base couldn't find a rebuttal and merely avoided her furious ire. The older woman grabbed Jack by the hand roughly and yanked him with all of her strength. She couldn't even make Jack budge an centimeter, but the injured man willingly went along with her angry pulling. She wasn't going to let him hear the end of it otherwise.
"Ms. Belladonna, if you don't mind taking over please?" he asked with hint of frustration.

........

"Did the Doc come and yell at him?" a voice crackled in over the comms of the 3 women. It was Cookie. "Don't worry about this newcomers. Doctor Janus has been working here for years and was like a second mom to Jack. So she naturally gets pissed off when he pushes himself way too far." The man explained, the restrained amusement painfully obvious in his voice. The man had obviously planned this after finding out Jack was injured. "Told you we had your back, Nyx! He's been walking around with that injury for days now......."

".....Want me to record what she says when she finds out how long its been since he slept? 10 dollars says the lecture lasts an hour and a half."

After a few moments of choked back sobbing, Cinny had finally managed to regain his composure. "So-Sorry...I-Its just been so long." He huffed, smiling a little and rubbing his eyes. You could call him 'Sappy' or 'Girly' or whatever you want, but...it felt good to cry. Not all the time, but just every once in awhile. It made him feel better afterward, the accumulating stress of all of this being flushed out. "I didn't mean to make it all about me..." He apologized, looking at Eph, then to Azure. They were both more silent now. It was unnatural. On one hand, he just chalked it up to the awkwardness of being separated for a whole year. But on the other, he slowly wondered just what happened in that one year. "...So. What have you guys been up to-" And that was when he felt Eph's hand suddenly grab at the side of his head, wincing at the feeling of a clump of his poofy black afro between the iron tight grip of Eph's metal arm, but not even coming close to when Eph shoved him onto the floor. What the heck was that fo-?!

BOOM!

...Sweet Oum, he just wanted breakfast.

Cinny closed his eyes and gritted his teeth at the searing heat after the explosion. His vision was blinded by white light for a split second before it began to slowly come back, albeit blurry and shaky. Tiny to not so tiny pieces of shattered glass or wall chunks flew overhead, and some even bounced off the floor and made direct contact with Cinny's face or body, a bruise on the center of his forehead and several small cuts across his cheeks. Yeah, this was gonna leave some scars. Still, they were alive.

"Ar...unharmed?" He heard Azure's voice. It was faint and muffled to him as well, but he still heard small snippets. Not knowing how to respond, and slightly confused to what she just asked, he just nodded as if he knew what she was saying. With a groan, he carefully got up from the floor, his body burned in different places and a bit sore from both the debris and Eph. He looked around and grimaced at the ruins of what had been just an innocent little diner. There was a gigantic hole at the side of where several booths like theirs used to be. Broken concrete and glass, as well as the remains of the counters and tables, were all over the floor, and there were even several small fires that were beginning to start. Overall, the missile or bomb or whatever caused this definitely made its mark.

He closed his eyes and shook his head before turning to the two, blinking at Eph's bleeding head. Holy Oum, they looked- "Shit..." Cinny whispered as he saw the big shard of metal in the side of Azure's leg. Ho-How did he not notice that before. He held his hands up and stepped forward to help, but hesitated. He didn't have experience in that sort of thing. Pulling it out would mean a lot of bleeding, but leaving it in could lead to infections! His hands twitched and he frowned, sweating at the sight of Azure's crying face. Already, the feeling of uselessness from so long ago began to come back. He shook this off hastily. N-No. He couldn't do that now. Hearing boots walk on debris from beside him, he turned just in time to see Eph quickly dispatching two people who were entering through the door. He narrowed his eyes....the White Fang. Of course. Cinny quickly looked away from the scene rather quickly. From his times on the road to Vale, he grew more accepting of the concept of taking another life. That's not to say he was comfortable with it or he won't have some semblance of guilt, but he understood that in battles like these, you simply had no choice...

But Eph could've done it a little less gruesome.

With a sigh, he looked at Azure...or the spot that used to be where she was standing. He blinked and jumped before looking around wildly. Oh no! Did someone grab her?! Hearing a piercing scream coming from the kitchen, he rushed to the doors and quickly opened them, eyes widened as he saw Azure. She was alone, and it looked like she had just pulled the metal from her leg. Oum, that was a big wound. His eyes wandered to the knife in her hand and widened when they noticed it was glowing from heat. The pieces connected in his head, and he quietly backed out and turned away from the door. Yeah, no need for more trauma to be seen. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. So much had changed...it was just moving so fast. With a concerned look, he watched her stumble out the kitchen, trying hard not to stare at the red skin, burned together with a nasty scar.

"There's a bowman and the rpg guy on the roof. I'm going for them. You've got four in the street and two entering the diner through the new door. There's probably more. Somewhere. We need to get our sh*t from the motel and get out town. Now."

"Consider their heads already mounted on your mantle,"

"Glad to see Eph's been a positive influence," Cinny muttered sarcastically before Azure came up to him. He nodded at her words. He didn't really need to be told twice. He was about to move out, but stopped when Azure pointed her guns directly at the hole...right! He snapped his fingers in sudden realization and stood back, watching as two White Fang members came from behind, only to be quickly shot down by Azure. "Right behind ya." He said, matching Azure's pace. He definitely trusted that she could take care of herself, but fighting these guys could open up that wound again. As they jogged through the streets, he looked at the running citizens, either fleeing away from the explosion to some fools actually running toward it to see what had happened. He shook his head and continued his jog, only to quickly stop at the sight of four of the White Fang, all of which armed with machetes, but no guns, which was a relief. He didn't want anyone getting hurt from a shoot out.

"...Don't worry, Azure." Cinny said and stepped in front of her. "Just stay back and rest up a bit." It was time to prove his worth. It was clear Azure and Eph had been fighting alone all this time, but not anymore. This time, Cinny was with them. And he would do all he could to help lighten the load. The grunts had noticed the two, and whether it was because they recognized them or noticed their weapons at the ready, they unsheathed their machete. Let's see...Cinny looked around and his pocket and pulled out...a candy bar. Confused murmurs came from the grunts as he unwrapped it. Then, with a light toss, it flew to the center and skidded at their feet. One grunt picked it up and looked at the boy with a chuckle and a raised eyebrow.

"Heh. Reall-" He didn't even get to finish before Cinny narrowed his eyes and held up his hands. In a few short seconds, the bar flew into the grunt's face and began to liquefy, covering his eyes, nose, and half of his cheeks. Distressed cries came from the panicking grunt, and the others watched in shock. The second grunt even tried to rip off the chocolate with his own two hands, but as soon as they touched, Cinny smirked and slowly closed his hand. The chocolate began to harden again, and thanks to both the aura being used and the concentration Cinny had, they were both struggling to escape.

Grabbing the handle of Pimenter, Cinny had rushed forward and in front of the third grunt, who was too busy looking at the spectacle to notice the quick sugar bender. And as soon as he turned away, he felt a hard metal bat connect to the side of his head, knocking him to the ground. The fourth grunt, not as distracted as his fellow grunt, unsheathe his machete quickly and went for a swing, but Cinny quickly whirled around and blocked it with the bat, holding it sideways and keeping one hand on the while the other was steady on the barrel. A brief power struggle occurred, but due to Cinny' concentration shifting from the chocolate to the sword trying to pierce through his chest, the chocolate had melted and plopped to the ground, causing the two grunts to separate.

The second grunt stumbled back a bit and looked at the struggle before chuckling and gripping his machete tighter. He took two steps forward and readied himself, not noticing just how loud his chuckles were nor how loud his footsteps were. "HA!" He yelled out, taking a swing straight for the back of Cinny's neck, but he quickly ducked out of the way, and the Machete had cut straight across his fellow grunt's throat. Said grunt began to choke on his own blood and fell backward on the ground, much to the surprise and shock of the second grunt. Cinny took this opportunity to slam Pimenter at the top of the second grunt's head, causing a sharp crack to be heard before his next swing connected into the side of the grunt's head, causing him to fall back, unconscious and severely damaged.

And the last grunt, having finally gotten the filthy chocolate off of his face, whirled to face Cinny...only to see two of his comrades twitching on the ground, one actually having bled to death. With a gasp and horrified expression, he slowly looked up to see Cinny's piercing glare. The two stared in silence, no one moving...

"OOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" Cinny exclaimed, taking a menacing step forward with his arm stretched out. The grunt shrieked and dropped his Machete before running away, not wanting to end up like his friends. Cinny grinned. He always wanted to do that. He sighed contentedly before looking down at the aftermath...and grimacing at the pooling blood. Well...he was kind of a hypocrite. With a cringe, he stepped over the body and walked up to Azure, pursing his lips and scratching his head. "So...Which way is the motel?" He asked with a sheepish grin.

Sliver stood quietly for a few moments trying to process what was going on. She could very easily just tell Mistress Joy said no, that Joy was a danger. "I'm the chosen one... not this snake. Mistress would value my safety over her!"

Silver couldn't shake her words however. It was like Joy knew this game and wanted Silver to keep playing. Joy was very much like her mistress. They both used whatever means they had to succeed, both insanely resourceful not relying on brute power. Both very beautiful...

Silver shook her head. She had a lover, Joy... Joy was way too toxic for Silver to ever love. She was also scary. When Joy had her by the shoulders. Silver had felt her body lean back into Joy. She should have been outraged that she was being touched and spoken to like prey, but she wasn't.

Silver looked down, her pride had shutdown almost. Joy had overwhelmed her and outmatched her. Silver didn't want to admit it but she has very much loved being swept up in Joy. That's why she was scary. Joy could just take her and maybe just maybe, she wanted to be taken.

Nyx's words cut through Silver's foggy mind. She looked up to see the kitten waving her into the scanning room. If Joy felt like a wave threatening to sweep Silver away, Nyx was a warm blanket, telling Silver she was okay and accepting her.

Silver smiled. "Of course Nyx." Maybe Jack would find it odd that Silver choose to obey the cat instead of him. Silver's eyes moved to Joy and Jack. Even though his should have been the worst sight she didn't mind. Jack seemed like he could handle Joy.

Silver stood by Nyx in the scanning room. "It really is nice to see you again. We should maybe get some food and catch up. I always said I owned you one after all you did for me kitty." This felt so much better than her verbal barbs with Joy.

Of course she couldn't keep her eyes from going back to Joy.
"Snake... Joy come to my quarters tonight please." Her eyes then came back to Nyx. She showed a slight sign of discomfort but that faded away into a smile as she gave Nyx a slight pat between her ears.

Nyx ignored almost everything Joy had said, but there was one thing that she did that the cat did not enjoy: Being dismissed with a wave of a hand. Given the current situation, it could mean anything. As if she didnt care, or she was saying something else. Whatever it was, Nyx took a breath and turned away, crossing her arms as she heard Joy messing around with her partner. Though before she could continue evesdropping, her attention turned towards Silver who approached the Faunus and make a small smile tug her lips "It's nice to see you again too, Silv." her tail began swaying, indicating that she was a lot more happier than just a few moments ago "You dont owe me anything, Silv, though how about we get some dinner tonight? We can catch up there since I'm going to be busy this afternoon." one of her tasks was going to be giving them a Tour of the place. Silver then seemed to move her eyes away from her and move towards Joy, words being directed to her before Silver looked back at Nyx and gave her a slight pat between her ears.

She closed her eyes, loving the feeling of her hand patting the top of her head softly. Slowly her ears lowered I really need to be petted like this more often... It feels so nice... she thought to herself, opening her eyes and perking up her ears as the sound of a light turning on barely filled the room. Looking up to the light, it was green which pretty much gave everyone a thumbs up on being clean. With that, Nyx pulled from Silver's hand and headed out, moving aside so everyone else could walk in while watching the other soldiers walking about. Though all of that stopped as soon as Jack walked in which prompted the Faunus to grin. Just one sight of Jack and everyone -but the group- froze. It was amazing how a commander could do this and amused Nyx every time. "At ease!" he shouted, everyone going back to what they had been doing and seconds after, a woman in a labcoat came running down the hall. It was the Doc that she grew a liking to "Hey Jan!" Nyx said happily, only for her to look at Jack.

It was obvious that she caught sight of that wound on Jack's side and instantly got furious. Yelling at Jack like a child and tossing out ideas that she could actually do just to keep him in bed. As the kitten's ears slowly flattened, she couldnt help the growing smile on her lips again This is what happens when you really dont listen to me, Jack. Janus drags you away and scolds you. and now Jack was currently being dragged away, leaving her in charge of the group. Or well, new guests actually. Aside from the escorts who actually began to talk though the comms and make her giggle "I never doubted that you guys didnt have my back. But I will say that Jack did deserve being dragged away." she crossed her arms "He needs to seriously stop pushing himself, I usually wanna knock him out myself but I'll feel bad if I did that."

"10 dollars says the lecture lasts an hour and a half."

"20 that it takes two hours."
Nyx butted in, grinning as she looked back at the group "That was a pretty nasty wound that he re-opened. Im sure Janus has 2 hours worth of words." with that said, she looked at Joy and Silver "I'll give you both a tour of the place. Show you guys where the Mess Hall is, the housing, the showers, training rooms and the training outside... There's a lot of places to go over if you want my honest opinion." after all, it took Nyx a while to get used to the place and had to follow jack multiple times to finally remember where she was going. She even got lost at one point and couldnt find her way back to a room.

Joy sneered and flashed a victorious smile when she turned her head away from Jack, lifting her strap back onto her shoulder. Her smile remained even as she was turned away from him. The look on his face was one to be remembered. A man like Jack doesnt have a wide range of facial expressions, most were the same no matter the emotion or situation, but they still had subtle differences. Differences the snake had picked up on during her rounds through men. Shes dealt with men like Jack before. Stern, serious, no time for games. She noticed his clenched jaws, the vein near his temple that rose to the surface and the tight lined lips. Anyone would think it was just a face of frustration, which it very well may be. But there was more. What made Joy snicker was the fact that she caught his eyes, and those spoke a different language. Anyone who was annoyed or upset would not look at the person causing said annoyances, theyd turn away to rid themselves of the nuisance. Even so, his eyes didnt look at her own, but watched her little bodily antics instead. Thats where she got to him. He wasnt an impenatrable fortress after all. At least to some degree. The cuts, bruises, and heavy weight on his eyelids suggested he was tired, worn down. His guard was down. Perhaps that was why it seemed simple to toy with him. He wasnt as much of a stiff when hes exhausted himself, there barely any energy to waste on supressing his testosterone and basic instinct. However, Jack certainly proved to be a bit of a challenge, and quickly caught himself slipping into Joy's hypnotic trap. He looked away again, catching a breath and clearing his throat, with his eyes looling straight ahead.

Silver, Nyx, and Jack followed her in, and stood as a group awaiting for the scan. The room was dark, with a dim glow of a blue hue along the walls, to give off some light. "Initiate the scan," the Commander demanded. Joy's slitted pupils were wider due to her body's reflexes to take in as much light as possible. But after Jack's words the blue color glowed brighter, and streams of laser beams moved vertically and horizontally along their bodies. Her pupils contracted again from the amount of light that had flashed. She looked around at the light show taking place with a smile, sticking her arm out to watch the lasers run along her skin. Suddenly the room went dark again, with only a single green light on the opposite wall to illuminate the room. Green is good. The door opened and Jack moced past the girls to step through first, to which Joy followed with a mix of excitement and haste. Once she stepped back into the bright light of the head quarters, she blinked a few times to allow her faunus vision to adjust briefly. There was certainly a large commotion. Like bees in a hive, everyone performed their own tasks. Taking a quick look Joy could spot the mechanics with the vehicles, the engineers with their smaller tech, the researchers, the intel people with folders and computers, all in their appropriate stations amongst eachother. Then everything froze, as if time had stopped, all of Jack's busy little bees stopped simultaneously to look at him and shout a loud, "Commander, sir!"

Joy leaned closer to Jack, watching his pawns still, and whispered throught the corner of her lips, "You have your dogs well trained~"

"At ease."

And just like that, the bees went back to work. Joy was overwhelmed with stimuli. Her eyes glinted like the goggles that sat at the top of her head when they caught the white, flourescent lighting, and darted to all directions. First the vehicles, then the weapons, then the computers/pads, to the young men in armor, then back to the vehicles. Honestly, if she had a tail it would be wagging all over the place. "I want to touch everything!" she jumped, bouncing like a child in a candy store, when her eyes landed on a young lad with out the helmet of the uniform armor talking to what she assumed was a strategist, pointing to a map, "Everything~" she emphasized, her tongue rolling over her pink lips, then biting the lower one.

"Snake... Joy come to my quarters tonight please." Silver inturrupted her scheme.

"Hm?" The snake turned to face her, seeing her standing next to Nyx, "Okay sure!" She had heard their voices talking to one another for some time, but never tuned in. She just thought they were probably catching up or...what ever it is girls talk about to one another. Suddenly a much more inturrupting voice came from no where, blaring and scolding Jack. It was a woman in a lab coat with a very aggrevated look. Joy covered her mouth and stifled a burst of laughter. It amused her to see such a large, strong man put in his place my a smaller woman in a lab coat. And when he flinched he almost seemed like a guilty pully shying away from its master after peeing where it wasnt supposed to. A tiny snort came out of Joy as the giggles grew harder to hold. Being yanked away against his will he instructed Nyx to continue the tour with out him.

"Did the Doc come and yell at him? Don't worry about this newcomers. Doctor Janus has been working here for years and was like a second mom to Jack. So she naturally gets pissed off when he pushes himself way too far."

"
Worry?!" Joy unleashed her laughter, "This is hilarious!" She explained between breaths into the comms.

"I'll give you both a tour of the place. Show you guys where the Mess Hall is, the housing, the showers, training rooms and the training outside... There's a lot of places to go over if you want my honest opinion."

"Mess hall~! Thats what Im talkin about. This little snake is hungry."

Silver's stomach growled at the mention of the word "Mess Hall." The young woman was very hungry. She would need the strenght if she wanted to handle what was to come tonight.

Silver giggled at Nyx trying to give commands and do her job. Silver very slowly took her pointer finger and rubbed the center of Nyx's head slowly. It was the closest thing Silver would do that you could consider bullying.

"Such a good kitten, doing her job! We should give you a treat!" Silver giggled again. She had truly missed Nyx. "Maybe I'll get extra fish tonight and let you have it?"

"Or... we could have a drink or two... did you start drinking yet Nyx?" Silver questioned. "I'm sure there's got to be some beer somewhere in this place."

Cinnamon R. Bons

Ephraim bore down on the bowman, condensing his Aura to a thin layer around him heightening his senses within those two inches to extreme levels. He felt larger particles in the air hit his skin. The lukewarm air actually chilled him due to his hypersensitivity, and he got utterly lost within his much heightened senses. The world around him disappeared, with the sole exception of the target of said senses.

The bowman fired his next explosive shot. Ephraim caught it before it pierced his stomach. And then he tossed it back, over the head of the archer, to end up over the other edge of the roof. That was done. Good. Ephraim bull rushed into the archer, throwing him into the guy with the rpg and knocking them both off the roof, where they landed on or near the now exploding arrow.

That worked better than he was expecting. Ephraim had just sort of winged it (to great effect) over the last year. He and Azure both have. Still. That was a stroke of luck that Ephraim had needed for a year. And now that he used it, they were probably going to get chased by Grimm all rainy night. And that wasn't a joke. That's... probably not far off. This year sucked.

He whipped out his scroll and sent another voice clip to Azure, and Cinny this time (hopefully his number was the same).

'I'm taking the high road to the motel. I'll keep an eye from above.'

His scroll snapped shut as he leapt between this rooftop and the lower roof ahead of him, clearing the ten foot gap and five foot drop as he slid his scroll back into his pocket. With a baritone grunt, Ephraim hit the roof of the little refueling station, throwing himself into a forward roll to divert the forces of his bulk smashing into a very solid object.

An idea hit him. Those White Fang ass hats came here in something, right? He diverted course, dropping another ten feet, and another foe via terminal velocity.

He expanded his aura again, his breathing coming significantly harder now. The bubble was easy to maintain. The armor was not. And the wound to his scalp was now starting to kick in. But Ephraim wasn't about to die from this level of bullsh*t. He took a quick second to catch his breath, and saw exactly what he was looking for. Another white fang guy next to an armored pick-up truck. No turrets though. Wasn't christmas yet.

The last foe between him and his early birthday, at least, had noticed him pulping his buddy's torso, and was already halfway to him, taking aim with an assault rifle.

Ephraim dived out of the way as the rifleman opened fire. He rolled back to his feet, wincing as he felt a fresh new pain coming from the outside of his left leg. He could still stand, so he could still move. And since he could still move, he could still fight. Ephraim ran as fast as his burning thigh would let him, running into the pump area. 'Please don't, idiot'

Thank any deity who cared, the victim didn't fire his gun into the pumps. Ephraim juked from between two of them, and sort of fell/tackled the dog faunus. His metal hand grabbed the rifle and tore the weapon violently from the grasp of the soon dead man. Ephraim stayed on top of the guy for a moment, just thoroughly drained from this.

He needed sleep. He needed medical attention for new wounds and old. He needed a real meal and safe harbor. He needed to have the time to reforge his new weapon.

They needed help. Azure wouldn't like it, but as soon as they were home free, Ephraim was calling Jack. They couldn't go back to Atlas yet, not with the mission unfinished, but there was no serious time limit. Ephraim had a safe house in all the remaining countries. If Jack could make it there...

Ephraim's train of thought was interrupted as something entered his bubble. He instinctively swung the gun to the side, squeezing the trigger with all the force he could muster. He emptied the clip into the claymore-wielder, tearing a violent line diagonally across his torso. Ephraim didn't look, he didn't have to. The body flopped within his bubble. He felt the life leave the gurgling sap.

He needed to retire. But the war wasn't won yet.

Ephraim stood up with a pained grunt as he felt his aura flicker a bit. "Yeah, sounds about right." He dropped his bubble, returning much needed aura to his body to bolster against the pain and the injury, as well as overall exhaustion. The truck may save their f*cking lives. If Cinny could drive... He and Azure could hopefully take a nap.

He flung the door open with enough force to dent the pump housing. The shop hand, judging by a ransacked store, had bigger problems than sheet metal and vinyls. Ephraim didn't see him. Hopefully the poor minimum wager wasn't dead.

The front seat was filled with stolen snacks, drinks, and cash. Total godsend. Ephraim swiped a few bills for the road, and then tossed the majority of the cash out of the door, so the shop hand (hopefully not dead) could salvage something from today. The White Fang was most likely here for them. Any casualties were caused because Ephraim and Azure were hanging out in town.

But sh*t, it was stick. If Cinny couldn't drive stick, Ephraim was in for a miserable evening.

Ephraim started the truck as he tore into a sack of beef jerky and roared off towards the motel. He sent one more voice clip his friends way as soon as he cleared the fuel station property.

'I acquired an enemy truck. I'll be at the motel in a minute. I'm wounded. I'm not walking far. I got a gun though. I can watch the door.'

Nyx was happy to hear that both Joy and Silver wanted to go to the mess hall first. Joy made it clear that she was a 'hungry little snake' and Silver... Well her stomach did the talking for her. Silver's finger on her head didnt help with her reactions, however, because this was something she did when she felt like teasingly bullying Nyx "H-Hey! Stop that!" she said, moving her head from the woman's hand and gently rubbing the spot with her own "I dont need any Treats, Silv. I've been here for at least a year so doing my job is natural..." she shifted her eyes to the side " Anyway, I dont need more fish, the mess hall has plenty for me, especially since sometimes I eat more than just one. Thanks for the offer though." and as for the drinking... It was a little rare to catch her even putting her mouth to a beer bottle or a glass of wine. Most of the time she kept her distant and resorted to other methods of having fun, such as with catnip. "I did start drinking, yes. Usually I try to stay away from it unless there's a celebration going on and when I feel in the mood for a drink." she admitted, folding her hands behind her back as she faced down one of the halls "Follow me to the mess hall so we can get some food." her back turned towards the girls and she began to walk, her tail swaying behind her lazily while her ears did their own thing. Turning and listening to everything around her.

"I'm glad that we were able to bring you both here. And I know how both of you must be feeling not having your weapons on you." she said while continuing her walk "I was hesitant to leave my weapon behind the first few times I came here too. I didnt know who I could trust, didnt know if I was in a safe place." even wounded, she didnt want to let go of her weapon when she arrived here during the fall. "But I can assure you that this place is safe and you dont have to worry." after a couple of turns, she walked into the mess hall where some soldiers ate and chattered. "Here we are, the mess hall." she turned and looked at Joy and Silver "The food here is really good, so dont think that it may taste like trash." places that had an HQ such as this really didnt have good food from what she's read and heard, but here was different. "The cook we have here is absolutely the best cook that I could have ever eaten from. Go ahead, get some food." Nyx was thinking of having a bite herself, but she wasnt sure if she was ready for a big meal... Maybe just something small would satisfy the kitten.

Keeping an eye on them also was on her to-do list, so she was going to grab a snack to stick with the pair. Bringing her hand to her neck, she gently scratched it, causing her bell to jingle softly before she moved towards the line, beckoning the girls to follow her.
