should i make my girly conflicted between being loyal to the sirens or being loyal to herself

hmmm,, i think. . .
she could be loyal to the sirens, however, for some reason, she has to pretend to be a mermaid? get some sort of intel from 'em?
and so it'll continue to be something that makes her conflicted of who she would "follow"?

kind of like. . . if the sirens want her to prove their loyalty to them, she has to "kill" a mermaid, or do something to prove her , i guess, "worth"? or get "shunned" as a siren or so?
and so it brings a character development? if she "infiltrates" the mermaid group and pretends to be them - she loves their way of life? and chooses herself or something?

but that's up to the siren and mermaid dynamics and what y'all want to do ?

I've always personally imagined sirens as very solitary creatures, killing whatever they desire. I'm not sure how the lack of bloodlust would translate over, so hmm.

(ex, Sybil prefers to only kill human men, but will fight any creature that prevents a threat to her.)

ouii, i can see the sirens doing and saying such a thing, especially if lyra is a daughter of one of the leaders of the clan. and if she has a strong gift, it could be an even bigger issue inside the clan to have such a siren who doesn't kill.

i think, at first, he would refuse to help her since [ will need to talk to Brook about the specifics of Ronan and Sybil's encounter ] if it's after the time he's encountered Sybil, he would be absolutely guarded, cautious even. but, i can imagine a young selkie intrigued by her tail and their culture, young ones are pretty curious after-all - especially hearing tales about the sirens [ they may think she looks different if she chooses to come to them , pretending to be a mermaid ]! if she comes pretending to look like a mermaid, although he's hesitant, he won't harm her or be violent towards her, but rather, would prefer her to not stay around his area until a trust and bond is formed? so he may leave his "area" and come to her outside of where he and his herd lives and in a sense, he would help her? he may not outwardly show it, but he wouldn't entirely "shun" her away.

oh gods, if he figures out that she's a daughter of one of the leaders of a clan, especially when she is a siren of the [ insert sea here ]. it'll cause d r a m a , methinks? cause then having her around his kin would bring more harm to his kin than anything and he'd always choose his people over a stranger! and not only that, she would have lied to him ! aaaahhhh, so the tough choice is leaving her to defend herself :/

i think both ideas work and whichever way you go, it'll be a quite interesting turn around and character development for your character and anyone else involved too ! < 3

there's definitely a lot of options! sometimes when i can't decide on what to do, my friend and i use the "wheel of truth" ! and let the wheel spin and it'll help us decide on an option!
