Running Wild
Serge kicked back in his corner of the truck, arms folded behind his head as he watched the whole scene unfold. The troublemaking fox half of him was tempted to conjure an illusion of the scientists appearing in their rear just to see how they would react but he firmly bit down on that desire, reminding himself that it was best not to show his hand to anyone. Still he had to say, this group was really something else. The last time he had escaped, he'd been the baby of the group and the rest of the supernaturals had their share of disagreements and fights but it hadn't gotten to this level of ridiculousness. Maybe it was because half of this new cast of characters were mad and clearly in need of mental help after being driven to insanity by their stay in the facility. One was basically flashing everything without a care in the world and the rest of them all had issues he didn't want to delve into. It was plenty clear that the time they all spent in the van together before it broke down wasn't doing anything for their 'camaraderie' since no one seemed able to say a word without getting into it with someone else. Hell he couldn't understand why they were even arguing or wasting their time on this if they hated each other so much. Were all of them supernaturals with a pack mentality? Like werewolves? If it was him he wouldn't have bothered wasting energy picking fights like this, he would just walk off on his own and disappear into the woods, away from any pursuers and away from the madness. In fact, that was exactly what he was going to do. He'd had enough of people much less crowds. Serge got on his feet, clicking his tongue when his wound protested to the sudden movement. His wound had healed up a lot since they left but they'd clearly gotten him worse at the lab than he'd first thought. It'd be troublesome if he didn't get back to full strength soon but he didn't really want to stick around this group any longer than necessary either. Someone was bound to suggest or do something idiotic and drag everyone else into it one way or another. After all, that was exactly what had happened the last time he'd escaped. Keeping low so he didn't hit the top of the van with his head, Serge made his way out and jumped onto the ground, the pain that shot up his side when he landed causing him to stumble and mutter a curse as he almost barrel into the male supernatural who was trying to provoke Mr Anger Issues into punching him. So much for a quiet exit into the peaceful woods. Hopefully they would be too absorbed in fighting each other to bother with him.
