Reggie nodded. Then felt stupid because there was really no one to see him nod. "Acknowledged" he said. A street fight it was then. He'd do what he always did. Starting off with a noble roar. Hey it did nothing to weapons, but it would help him with other pokehuman. Then flamethrower all the way. Just fire here, fire there, fire everywhere that didn't house an Interpool agent.

Yahhah Yahhah The noble roar was deafening and had Jack not been a ghost, it would have shaken Jack to the bone. That still impressed him.

Then the flames! The very thing Jack Crown feared more than bullets, sprayed out with no restraint. Burning everything, making the cluttered area much harder to navigate and escape. He was going to get hurt no matter what he did, and this made his left fist clench. The fire hazard didn't come from the bad guys, they came from one Interpol agent!

If Jack could not escape this unharmed, then he had no choice but to defend himself. That dude ought to be taught a lesson. The miasma of smoke gave him an idea. Shadows nearby had seemed to bleed and intensify until he reduced to the ground and the walls as a silhouette. He distorted and traveled through the hellish terrain, woozy from the overheat, and emerged from behind Reggie. Shadow Sneak.

His right arm, a serrated solid sword, swung around and stopped just beneath the man's jaw. "Kill the fires, you animal! Don't do this..."

Ohh boy. Reggie thought he was done for, than his head never came off. The bad guys were just running around on fire. Would be funny if this was a cartoon, and they couldn’t actually die. This guy actually thought he could kill all those fires. Well he could suck them up, but the smartest thing to do would be to get a hose. “Would if I could pal. I’m not a water guy”.

Jack Crown faltered, looking disappointed.
His aura hardened with Iron Defense.
As soon as he showed, he vanished.

Shadow sneaking, burnt, he stumbled to the nearest Mart. He collapsed at the steps, thinking how anything and anyone can perish in the fires started by Interpol. That guy... knew his sin and still didn't care for the blade at his neck. For an agent, he had no remorse. The homeless were burnt to a crisp too, if they did not make it out alive. Grunts would have started the fires too, so neither side appealed to him. Neither were the lesser evil. They both were grey, both corrupt.

He coughed, remembering he had come for a Potion and a Burn Heal. Jack wobbled to his feet and breathed easier. That guy though.. would he really stop the fires if he could? Even though Jack did his best to hate it, to be honest he liked being called pal. Something he hadn't heard in years.

Yahhah Yahhah

Eventually, Reggie’s escort showed up as all the grunts had abandoned ship and the Goldenrod City Fire Department was even called to the scene. The driver unlocked all the doors with the press of a button and would tell Agent lang to get in if he wasn’t dumbfounded by the sight of a burning compound. “Agent Lang, g-get in” he said mortified at the agent’s recklessness.

Reggie was cowed. He always got carried away. Every freakin time. He got into the car ignoring the driver. He got into contact with the fire department. "Send in a blastoise unit at these coordinates" he said quietly. Giving the location of the enemy base. Hopefully it would arrive in time to save some of the area, and innocents. It sucked to be the Interpol agent with the most destructive abilities, and attacks. He couldn't even control how destructive fire was. It was a voracious, free force of power.

The escord drove down the Goldenrod City projects where Espur hobos busk and sketchy looking liquor stores are on every other street. Ambient pop music played over the car’s radio as the driver turned on a freeway overpass bound for INTERPOL head office in downtown Goldenrod City.

This Mart was closed early, with bars on its front door. Trash tumbled by. Faint sirens and a shuttling copter. Jack winced at the burn on his utility arm, having used it to take the most of the damage. He needed to rest but knew he needed to restock first. The real stores that are open at this hour are downtown Goldenrod.

The Dept Store was as large as a mall, with escalators and the loud drone of chatter and footsteps. He slumped at the gargling water fountain where pennies and dimes shone back slivers of light. Having bought medicine, he began applying them topically.

Now Jack relaxed.

The Dept. store was its own mall with anchor stores, coffee shops and smaller boutiques. Mallgoers looked at Jack as he was so strange looking while psychic type pokèhumans suddenly felt cold when they wandered into his general vicinity.

At INTERPOL HQ, Kyle was watching the local news from his office as a story about a certain hideout was going up in smome ‘This better not be Agent lang’s fault’ he thought begrudgingly

Reggie just stayed in the car. Thinking of all the things he could’ve done differently. Hyper beam would’ve caused less destruction, or he could’ve brought a bigger gun. At least the agents were safe. The mission had been completed. Hopefully the fire department would show up before, the fire spread.

The agents, while their uniforms were singed to the point of showing body hair and skin “Even though you screwed up” said Agent Carson “We want to thank you for all you’ve done” Agent Raides nodded in agreement

Reggie looked at them, and nodded. “Well..your welcome” he said. Still feeling inadequate. And thank you he added silently to himself. The boss was going to be pissed, and Reggie had already made plans to try, and repair any property damage he’d accidentally caused. Maybe inhale any lingering smoke. Another benefit of being filled with fire. Smoke didn’t do Reggie any damage. He could just inhale the stuff to get rid of it.

after a sustained period of akward silence, they’d get to an office building with tinted glass windows — INTERPOL’s headquarters. The car would stop right next to the curb by the building as agent Raides unbuckled his seatbelt, opened the left hand door & walked out of the car.

Reggie stepped out of the car. "Have a good one" he said to the driver. Huffing as he entered the headquarters. This is gonna be fun he thought to himself. Might even get sacked. Who knew how flammable city houses could be. Lesson learned. Flamethrower was to be used only in unpopulated areas.

Agent Carson followed Reggie as Kyle sat in his office while tapping his claws on his desk while watching the door for he was looking forward to giving agent Lang a piece of his mind.

Reggie entered the room, and twiddled his thumbs. Theory correct, boss was pissed. They're alive, Reggie reminded himself. That was the mission. Whatever happens next, I did my part.

“So they might be” said Kyle stoically while reading Reggie’s thoughts “Now, are you the one who caused that uptown fire?”

"Yes sir. I heavily regret my mistake, I did what I thought was nessecary" he said. Not trying to hide anything. Couldn't if he tried. "Have the fire department arrived". He asked.

Reggie looked down. Shit. He hadn't realized that there had been actual innocents there. And he is probably reading my thoughts right now. Hi there. "What do you want me to say? Sorry isn't fixing anything. I almost got my head cut off by an aegislash guy. That important"? Reggie thought of the scene where he was under the threat of decapitation. After all Kyle was probably still looking inside of his head.

"Yeah. I think. Never seen an agislash before, but he wasn't human. He had a sword for a hand, and he ran away from the fire, which might've saved my neck. Didn't see him in the compound, although I didn't really look. Have you heard of this guy"? He said.

“Yes” he said “And if i’m not wrong he is a departed spirit of the Kalosian Royal family so that was probably a former you Duke you fought against. Now what did his late majesty want with you?”

"Wanted me to cut out the fire. Told him I can't destroy that stuff, then he just kind of left. Didn't see where. That informant flew the coop as well. After I got them out" he said.
