Project Purity (DrTrollinski & Greg2344)

Jax stepped inside smith Casey's garage and he too smelled the stench of mole rats. The group walked into a room and there were two mole rats. They weren't hostile though, they were just eating old food laying in the ground. "Let's just ignore them, and no one touch them." Jax said. The group walked by the mole rats and were lead to another room behind them with a huge metal trap door and a terminal next to it. Jax was never really around technology since he lived alone in the middle of the wasteland and just scavenged old DC building for supplies. So Jax said "hey enclave boy, your good with technology right?"

"If you're going to address me as 'Enclave boy', then no, I'm not good with technology." He said, crossing his arms. Walker rolled his eyes and then shoved by them both.

"I can't believe this..." He sighed and then went up to the terminal, looking down at it for a few moments. His head started hurting again. He took out his knife and shoved it into the lining of the console and then ripped away the top panel. He looked at the wires. White on blue. He cut both the tough white and blue wires and then shoved them together. They sparked like crazy and he had to cover his eyes to protect them. As he did that, though, the vault door screeched as it began to open up.

"How--.. How did you do that?" Ivan said, jaw-dropped.

".. That's a secret." He smirked.

"Interesting, it must have been from his ...powers? He got from being irradiated a few days back." Jax thought. Jax didn't say anything, he just put his rifle in his hands and stepped down into the vault. They walked through the surprisingly clean vault and met face to face with a robo-brain robot. The robot said "Hello vault dwellers, please put on your uniforms!" And handed each of them a vault 112 jumpsuit. Jax looked at the rest of the group and said "Hell no, I'm not putting on that jumpsuit!" The robot then said "come this way, after you get into uniform."

".. Just put it on over the armor?" Walker suggested. Daniel looked at his jumpsuit and gulped. It was too big for him, but he didn't want to wear it at all.

".. I don't wanna put this on." Daniel whispered.

".. I think I can disable the robot, if you want..." Walker suggested with a sigh.

"I think I can disable it too" replied Jax. Jax aimed his rifle at the robots brain and fired. The glass chamber holding the robots brain exploded, and the liquid that the brain was in leaked out onto the floor. The robot slumped over. The group walked past the robot into a chamber, the chamber had about twelve pods, with one person in each, but one pod was empty. "What is this?" Jax said out loud, in disbelief. "Whatever, let's just find the damned power core." He added.

".. Wait--.. We--.. Can't we get these people out? They looked alive." Ivan said.

"We'll get them on the way back..." Walker sighed, looking around nervously. ".. Lead the way, Jax. I'll crack that thing open like I did at the last Vault. We'll head back South after that, and you can meet out dad." He chuckled a little and then smiled warmly, Ivan didn't really know what to think of that. He didn't know what Walker's story was.

Walker cracked open the vault core chamber and once again it was a small glass vial filled with a glowing blue substance. Jax walked over and added the second core into his bag. "How do we get these people out, and honestly do we even want to let them out?" Jax said.

".. I don't know." Walker sighed. ".. Maybe we should just leave them... They're alive, they look healthy... I say we leave 'em there." He suggested, scratching his head. "We can close the vault up again so they're safe..." He said.

".. I don't wanna' let 'em out... They might try and hurt us..." Daniel said, hugging Jax's back as he spoke. Walker sighed and simply nodded. He didn't care. He was too busy thinking about how they'd be going through his old town at some point soon. He knew it couldn't be avoided, but he was dreading it.

"Ok let's go then." Jax simply said. They exited the vault when they got outside no one was waiting for them, no raiders, enclave, or mutants. "Well that was easy." Jax said. The group walked south and arrived at walkers hometown, but no one knew that except for walker. When they arrived in the old town it was burned to a crisp. No life was there, not even mutated life. Just... Silence. All the houses were either in a pile of rubble or stained black from the fires, when the raiders burned them down.

".. I--.." Walker gulped as they walked into the town. He slowly looked around and he started to feel sick. Yeah, he was certain he was going to throw up now, especially when they walked into viewing-distance of his old house. His face flushed with color and he quickly made his way over to a nearby wall and leaned onto it - as he walked over there, he was gagging and retching. As soon as he leaned over the wall, he vomited everything onto the ground for a few minutes, coughing and choking.

(Let's RP in this little town for a while. I've got some stuff to RP :) )

"What?!?" Jax said surprised. He ran over to walker and said "are you ok? Do you need more RadAway?" Jax thought that the radiation that previously effected walker when he got hit by the ghoul, was coming back. Walker almost died last time so Jax was panicking. Jax was digging through his bag to find RadAway.

"No, no... I..." He quickly coughed and then grabbed Jax by the arm and dragged him off behind a small house just beside them, with tears in his eyes he looked at him and managed to choke some words out.

"This is where I was born."

"Oh..." Jax said. He didn't know what to say to him in reply. He just said "I'm sorry." He walked over to Ivan and explained the whole story about how the raiders killed walkers family, and how he lives with his new adoptive father.

"I need to check something... Please wait out here." He choked to them all, and then he slowly wandered into a small house that was once his own and walked through it. There was a dusty smell. This place hadn't been touched for nearly nine years now. He looked around and then went through to one of the rooms - it was his bedroom. There were two beds there. One had a blue blanket, and one had a white one. The white one was going to be Daniel's when he got old enough to sleep in a proper bed. Walker remembered being so excited about sharing a room with his little bother when he was younger, but that sadly never happened.

"That's horrible... Poor kid. At least he found somewhere, though." Ivan said. Daniel was simply gazing around the town.

"Jax... What is this place?" Daniel asked.

Jax saw walker get watery eyed then walk into the house, jax already knew just from seeing that, that it must have been his old house before his parents were killed. "Daniel, it's just an old destroyed town. Nothing special about it." Jax said. Jax followed walker into the house and saw walker in the bedroom, crying. Jax didn't say anything, he just stood at the doorway.

Walker looked at him for a moment and quickly brushed by him and went further into the house. He went to the back room where he remembered his father's office to be and then stepped inside, only to see a skeleton slumped over the desk. The skull was rested on the dusty wooden surface, and in the back of it there was a bullet hole. The desk was stained with old blood, and there was a piece of paper.

He picked it up and looked at it. It was a note.

'Dear, Walker.

I'm sorry you ever had to go through any of this, son. I don't know if you'll ever find this, but I hope you do... I don't have much time, but I hope that you've found someone nice to take care of you, and I hope you and Daniel are both well. You've always been a good boy, and I'm sure you'll be that forever more.

You'll always be my son. I love you, Walker. Just remember, never give up. Don't go out trying to avenge me. Just enjoy life and make something for yourself... You've got potential. You'll be a hero, someone who helps others. That'll avenge me enough to look down on you and know that you're doing that.

Goodbye, son.

- Dad.'

Walker fell to his knees and tightly squeezed the letter in his hand and then started sobbing and crying. His original father would be so ashamed of the things he'd done on this journey. He was heartbroken. All of this time he'd been seeking revenge. For eight whole years. And now look... His old father had said that that was the last thing he wanted.

Walker felt terrible. A terrible let-down, and a terrible son. He didn't want to go on anymore.

Jax saw walker reading a piece of paper, so he walked next to him and said "what's this?" He already knew the answer, but just asked for the sake of it. He saw the skeleton slumped over the desk and knew it must have been walker's moms or dads skeleton, but he wasn't going to ask that. He saw walkers eyes get really watery and walker also dropped to his knees. Jax went down on one knee and hugged him.

".. He--.. He..." He couldn't even talk and just simply showed Jax the letter for a minute before grasping it tightly in his hand again and hugging him as tight as he could. ".. I've done everything wrooooooong..." He cried out to him, tears flowing rapidly down his cheeks as he spoke. He was heartbroken, so, so heartbroken. He couldn't get the image of his father's face out of his head. The loving father he once knew and loved, the one that taught him everything before he moved to Walkersville after the incident. He didn't want his old dad, though. He wanted his new one. ".. I wanna' go home and see my dad..." He sobbed. ".. I wanna'--.. I wanna' see him!" He bawled.

"Ok, let's get going then." Replied Jax. Jax stepped outside the house and said to the rest of the group, "ok, we're leaving this place now, and guess what Daniel? We're going to see your dad! So Ivan are you ready to get traveling again?"

Daniel smiled brightly. That was awesome. He couldn't wait to see his good old dad again - he missed the house that they lived in, and he wanted to go back and see it again. God, when his dad found out all of the cool stuff he and the guys had been doing, he was going to be so proud. That was what had Daniel excited the most. It was going to be an amazing experience, and now Jax could finally meet his dad!

Walker took a couple of minutes to calm himself down inside the house, and then made his way back outside and folded the note up and tucked it into his pocket. One day, he'd come back here. He'd come back and bury his parents' skeletons somewhere. Or he'd get someone from the town to come out and do it - either worked, in all fairness.

".. Let's get moving." He said, softly. He was looking forward to seeing his dad again, too.

The group walked until they made it at the town of "Walkersville.". They arrived at the small town, and the friendly guard at the entrance let them in with no problems. Walker lead the way to his father's house. Walker stopped outside the house. "Uhh, is this the one?" Asked Jax, confused. Jax looked at the house from the outside and saw it was fairly big, and nice, well better then his own tin shack that is.

Walker couldn't even respond. Daniel shoved by them all and limped as fast as he could up to the door and slammed his fist down on it a dozen times, trying his best to contain his excitement. Walker just smiled at him and watched from the bottom of the driveway. Daniel heard footsteps. They were slow and unexcited - their father didn't know that they were visiting.

Then the door opened, and a somewhat old man who still looked fairly young revealed himself. He looked sick compared to when they last saw him. He was a lot thinner and his face had sunken just a little, but tears instantly broke out down his cheeks when he saw his two sons standing before him. He looked like the happiest man in the world.

"Dad!" Daniel cried out as he jumped into his arms and curled his own arms and legs around his body after he was picked up.

"Daniel!" The man sobbed happily, hugging him nice and tight. He couldn't get over the fact that they were here. His heart was so warmed. Walker smiled up at Jax and gently nudged his arm.

"You can introduce yourself in a minute. Let them have their moment." He said. Walker was getting a little choked up as well.

After Daniel and his dad stopped hugging Jax Walked in the house. Jax was just as exited to meet their dad as Daniel was! Jax didn't really know what to say though, he didn't want to seem creepy and he's never around people so he didn't have much social skills anyway. "Uhh, hey I'm Jax, I've been helping your sons." He awkwardly said. He put his had forward to shake the mans hand.

"Ah, yes..." The man smiled. "My name's Paul. I heard about you in the letter the boys wrote to me. They seem to be quite fond of you." He said as he reached out and shook his hand and then looked at Ivan.

"I'm Ivan." He said as soon as he saw Paul looking at him. Paul smiled and shook his hand as well.

"Daniel, son... Why don't you take Jax and Ivan to the kitchen and fix them some drinks? I'd like to talk to Walker for a moment." He smiled. Daniel nodded enthusiastically and grabbed Jax and Ivan by their hands and dragged them out into the kitchen. Paul knew that something was bothering Walker, so he wanted some private time with him.

"What do you guys want?" Daniel asked with a smile once they reached the kitchen.

"Just a water will do." Said Jax. Jax observed the house. It was very nice and clean compared to his own at least. Jax didn't even have a kitchen, his house was just one room, that had a bed, lockers, and a fridge in it. He remembered walker saying that his father was a doctor, so it became clear to him why they had such a nice home.
