Fantasy [Private] El Stories

Rain
"He...created life...?"

"Must be great to be an outside god. I hope it doesn't affect this dimension."

"It's very pretty though..."

Rain holds the bag given to her by Ash. The potions and orbs were familiar, at least. Stuffing it into her own bag, Rain pulls out her bag of ED and places a handful of coins into Ash's hands.

"She want you to have it, even if you object," her other self whispers, giving a wink.

Retreating back and allowing her shyer self to take over, Rain's counterpart smirks when the dancer first looks at Xavier's new weapon and then back to Ash to find out his battle strategy.

Passing through the portal, he looked back to see Oblivio going through it. Judging from his position, he was on top of the rooftops overlooking the small town. Using his chains, he compressed the portal and absorbed it into a small crystal.

"This'll come in handy for later." He mumbled as he stashed it in his pocket. "Alright, we'll start going to sewage system. My informant is over there. Shouldn't take us more than awhile to reach him." He warned as he started to jump from roof or in certain points swinging with his chains.

He wondered who the informant was. He kicked into the air and flew over to follow Dust. There was a tingle of unease.

"So, who is this informant?" he asked curiously.

"Nice nice, Well then. It's time we get going. Rain, Rena take Orion. We are entering the Castle through the top. Xavier your coming with me." Summoning his Ares armor, wings sprang out as Ash took hold of Xavier from the waist. "We're off!" Launching from the ground, Ash carried Xavier to the drop zone. "Landing down on the roof top." Letting Xavier down Ash uncalled his wings as he pulled out his sword and shield. "Let's get some wreckage in before they arrive."

Both Rena and she look at each other uneasily. Rain has ridden a horse before, but a flying one? It wasn't even guaranteed that the horse would let them in the first place.

"So, do you want to control it, Rena? Or do you want me to?"

"Met him a year ago. Smart boy, specially with those gadgets of his. Kinda look like yours actually, weird. I wouldn't try to get in his way though, he likes to do things on his own, although he sometimes asks for some help from me. Still wish that he stopped calling me a hybrid." He responded to him while jumping from another rooftop.

Xavier wished that he was given a warning before being lifted away. Though once they landed on top of the roof, he quickly found his footing and briefly took the chance to try on the new gloves, feeling the leather under his fingertips. He felt a jolt of excitement running through him as he slipped them on, storing away his other ones. They still might be in good use.

Already he fed Komodo an el shard, the dragon's colors started to shift as he flew off. Xavier eventually gave himself one, feeling the energy running through him. It wasn't long that his gloves started to gently glow, an icey, blue color. He flexed his fingers, watching how tiny particles of ice were formed and dropped, almost looking like snow dust.

"Alright, let's do this."

Oblivio

"Like mine...?" Someone else was using Nasod machinery? Who could it be? Someone who would use gadgets from a dead race was rare. The only reason Oblivio implemented his powers with Nasod machinery was that of his family ties. It wasn't like Nasods couldn't be used. Surely someone would take advantage of them. He had heard of a queen whose goal is to resurrect them, but it never seemed to matter. Nothing did. Nothing, but his goal. Now, he was interested in the matter of who this person was. "Did they say what their name was?"

Fume Fume

"Can't say his real name. But he goes with the alias, Add. I know a few things on the guy, but let's not prob too much on him. Nobody likes looking into their past, or what their past was." He replied back with another swing. He was curious as to why Oblivio was interested now. "But if it serves anything for reference, he usually uses an On symbol, like the ones that the Nasods had to contact me."

Ash
Looking around as Ash see the Nasods stand up from there sentry mode. Lasers begin to charge up all aimed at Ash and Xavier.
"Behind me! Shield" Slamming his shield forward in front of Xavier, Ash taking the incoming
lasers with his Shield waits till the bombardment is done as he charges in.

Oblivio

He almost stopped flying and slightly slowed down. That was the symbol his family used centuries ago. The power sign that symbolised On and Off. Input and Output. If that person was who he thinks it was--no, it was impossible. Someone may have uprooted his family laboratory...used it to imitate them. Then again, that possibility was very low. This couldn't be...

Lara tilted her head at the girl's question. Was she going to try to bribe them somehow? It was hard to tell, but time was money and that failure of a knight was making her lose time
"Alas, it is just as my companion says. I'm sure you understand that people of our trade have busy schedules. Now, if you'll excuse us..."

With those words, she got up and gave a slight head sign for Steele and Airi to do the same. She stepped to the girl's side and gave her a warm smile.
"Have a good day, young girl. I'm sure other adventurers can help you with whatever you need."
Lara passed the young red-haired woman and began to head out of the pub, followed by her new allies.

Elesis

Elesis sat there watching the trio disappear behind the door. Tch...this acting doesn't really fit me. "Penensio." Elesis said through the party link.

"Yes?" He replied slightly distracted.

"Do you have any news on the group with the elf, dragon boy, dancer girl with personality disorder, and the playboy with the hat?"

"I mean you didn't really have explain each of them like that. But our Shadow Tracers are still following them. The young boy with the hat seems to have some sort of higher being in his body and he almost attacked his party mates once."

"Hm...? That's interesting..."

"The dancer girl... well, she's was just in the Shadow Forest completing a quest for Echo."

"Oh, about that, Penensio! The mayor of Elder has asked us to burn down the entire Shadow Forest. He says he needed a way to clean out the miasma. So he'll probably burn the forest to clear out whatever monsters are condensing the miasma then allowing the purer being in." She said as she circled her finger along the rim of her glass. A few strands of crimson red hair fell in front of her face as the ice clinked in the drink.

"Another impossible request... But that job will up be up to you, ma'am." He sighed.

"...Sorry. I must go," Ren said to the red-haired woman. Following Lara's lead, he exited the bar while keeping a distance from her and the other girl. The sun along with the bright colors of the city almost blinded the elf, and he raised his arm to shield his eyes. Removing his arm, he allowed them to adjust as he followed the strange woman, being careful to maintain caution despite his building excitement.

"Apologies, sir. Perhaps next time!" Said Airi as she excited the pub. Once outside, Airi sighed.

"I really hate those kind of people, dontcha think? Trying to get into others business' and all..." Sighed Airi as she turned towards her new companions (maybe friends?).

"Well anyways, where to next?"

MementoDei MementoDei LegenDarius LegenDarius

She nodded to Airi's concern. The Commander's identity almost slipped through her lips, but her secret was left as a simple thought.
Having a demon body was heightening her senses beyond the levels she had when Resiam still existed. It was a new wave of power that could go very well with her old weapon: her precious ice rapier handed down for generations and enhanced by two of the most talented alchemists at the peak of their carrier.

Money was a fine prize for her, but what pumped her will to crush Wally once and for all was to test the extent of her new power. She guided the party to the room she had rented at the inn. After closing the door, she sat on a wooden chair and began to speak calmly.

"Very well. Here, I don't think we'll be spied on by anyone. I put a silencing barrier on this room to be sure of that. Everything that will be said here won't leave these walls. I suppose we all can agree on keeping this affair as discreet as possible."

She looked at her companions and, seeing them agree to the privacy she had given them, continued to speak:

"Before even heading into battle, we need to know what we have exactly. Not just weapons or skill, but also resources like orbs, mana potions, health potions, food, intel if you have any..." She said, looking at Airi at first and lastly at Steele. She got up and, after burning the mana of a sealing rune, got out from a drawer a leather bundle. Lara sat back and put it on her lap as she untied it.

"Here I got some basics, but I don't think it'll be enough for a party of three. The more we can sustain ourselves while having enough power to strike hard, the sooner the mission will end and the higher our possibilities of succeeding will be."

Lara pulled out one fire orb and continued to speak. "I'll show you what I have, you do the same and, Steele, I'd like to know in advance what you can do with that...weapon and sword of yours. Is that ok with you? Well, before answering let me explain some details that I couldn't say previously."

She put back the orb in the bag and listed her possessions: one rapier, three fire orbs and two poison orbs, fifteen health pots, one small mana flask, two light spears, one wooden spear, two small packets of lizard jerky and enough knowledge of Elder's sewer systems to guide them through the shortest path towards the Underground Laboratory. Beyond that initial destination, her guidance would be very limited. She paused for a second before continuing in a serious voice.

"We will be facing heavily armed royal guards and Nasods, which are basically mechanical soldiers, driven by the power of the El and built with ancient technology. Reason our prize is high is not only because of that, but because the ultimate goal is to kick Wally out of his power. Now, you are not entitled to bring that man to his death, but it will probably give us more trust from the nobles and increase the reward. If I see a favourable change in that regard, I'll do it myself and share it equally with both of you, if that's ok with you."

Talking for so long was challenging for her, she had to concentrate more before her voice began to sound hoarse. She cleared her throat and continued in the same tone:

"This mission is a dangerous coup d'état. I'll trust you with my life and I will do my best to defend yours. Now, tell me what you got and what you need. We'll get it as soon as possible and begin before other adventurers get in the way."She looked at her companions in the eye and waited for their answers.

Airi sweatdropped. What the hell were health pots and... Orbs? When people in her village went on missions, they solely relied on their own strength and skills. Some warriors had healing skills of their own.

Some items they used (were they considered items? Airi wasn't sure.) were sweet rice drinks, apples, and tea. The drink restored their awakening beads. The apples restored around 50% of their mana and health. The tea restored their stamina, or whatever they called it here...

"Well, most of my items are support based? Like they heal your mana and health. I have some in my bag!" Exclaimed Airi. She opened up her bag and took out each item she had. Inside her bag were apples, tea mugs with tea, rice drinks, the cute mug she bought, a stuffed panda, and some smokescreen bombs. She hoped it was enough...

"Let's ask Orion."

Rena walked over and placed her hand on the pegasus's mane. She felt something similar to a calm breeze blowing into her mind. From the pegasus's conscious, she felt curiosity, dignity, and acceptance. The pegasus let out a soft neigh and blew into her face. Laughing, she turned to Rain with a smile.

"I guess he likes me. Let's hurry before we fall behind the guys."

She hopped onto the pegasus's back with little difficulty and held a hand out to Rain.

"I'll cover your back then."

She mounts after Rena does and summons a few of her daggers. The beast really was strong, for even with two people on its back, it stood with the same grace and form.

"Onwards, Rena! I'll show them aerial combat!" her other self says, seizing control of her body.

"Not again!!!"

Once the nasods took a moment to recharge, Xavier charged along with Ash. One of his hand tightened into a fist in which the blue energy solidify itself, ice forming around the tightened fist. He seized up on one of them, throwing a solid punch at the nasod in which the ice shattered, the shards redirecting themselves and dug into the body of the nasod.

"Kodzuku!"

The direct contact caused the nasod to fly back, hitting its nearby allies along the way before being on the ground. For sure it did alarmed the other nasods close by but Xavier was ready to handle them. Plus he is already aware that Ash can do just fine against the nasods.

Rena laughed merrily at Rain's enthusiasm.

"Alright then, let's charge in! Orion, go!"

Without further delay, the pegasus reared and spread his wings, leaping into the air. He quickly picked up speed and was soon soaring through the sky with the two girls on his back. At the sight of his creator battling on the castle rooftop, Orion let out a battle cry and circled around his position overhead. Rena could feel the majestic horse tremble with anticipation for the coming battle.

"Ash, Xavier, we'll cover you guys from the air!"

She summoned her new bow and took aim on the Nasods surrounding the boys. Shifting her position to stabilize herself on the moving pegasus, she entered siege mode and fired consecutive rains of arrows on the battlefield, careful not to hit any of her teammates.

Ren listened intently as Lara and Airi pooled together their items. He'd been in situations like these before, but they were so sparse and infrequent that he still hadn't mastered the art of being in a team. Finally, after the first two girls spoke, he opened his mouth.

"I carry a lot of items since I mostly travel alone. I had a small mission last night, so I have fewer items than usual. But even so, I still have mana potions, and one or two complete recovery potions. Those are for emergencies. I also carry fire orbs, wind orbs, and Disfrozen grenades."

Ren stopped to catch his breath. He didn't reveal everything he had, but he revealed just enough. "But what I need most right now is time. Time to rest."

ALTERA

'[Error at 99.5537%]'

Golden eyes, molten with an ever-angered passion, flashed into existence.

'[Overdrive: Revival - C.R.O.Warrior Alpha ver. 77.684, Execute]'

The strange green liquid began draining around his nude body. However, in stasis, held floating, his muscles weren't used to gravity, otherwise his weight. It was no surprise that he fell alongside the liquid. Until ultimately, he was at his knees.

And yet, his very prescence was as overpowering as the oppressive glare that stared undeterred at the abandoned laboratory. He wasn't glaring at the shattered glass, silent vegetation, abandoned technology, not even to the KING that stared down to him from behind. He saw only the past, the damned sentient technology and the technology they dared to marry to his being.

If the KING had a face that had muscles... or a mouth, he was sure he would be smirking. After all, even in face of the miniscule error, his plan was finally moving forward.

Holding his hand over the meager being, the KING spoke, a puppeteer to the future events, unheard to all, "[Fly on, Phenex.]"

Raven moved.

"Finally..."

He could finally avenge.
