She stares in awe at Ash's purification of the forest. If only Rena was here to experience it...

"Amazing...is there anything the god of war can't do...?"

Rain sees Ash stagger a bit as he flies. She would sing a song for him, but her throat is still scratchy. The singer instead searches for Rena and Xavier, pointing at them once she spots them.

"Ash, over there."

"Hello, Steele! Don't you think this mug is cute?" Grinned Airi as she shoved the mug she bought in front of the elf. Just then, a red haired woman entered the inn and sat relatively close to them. Airi noted the different clothes she was wearing and concluded that her status must be a local. Or someone else. The clothes they wore here were weird...
Steele was eating his food, noted Airi. The sword he had with him brought her reassurance yet some worries. It meant that he was strong, yes, but elves don't usually use swords? They don't travel around either...
Eh. I'm probably overreacting... I'll keep an eye on him for now.

Ash looked over at the area that Rain was pointing to. "Hold on." upon telling her this Ash flew a little bit higher than started to descend at high speed at an angle right in front of Elder village. Landing hard on the ground, Ash set Rain down gently. "Best way to let out a little steam." Ash laughed patting Rains head as he got out of his armored form.​

Ren examined the mug that the girl held up to him. She seemed quite strange as well. He gave her a small smile and nodded, before continuing his meal. He also made note of the red haired girl that entered the bar. It was the uneasiest meal he had; constantly keeping an eye on three people at once.

Wiping away tears from laughing too hard, Rena managed to get past the worst of her laughter. A few giggles escaped here and there but she at least she was able to talk now.

"There's still..." She paused as she chuckled softly under her breath.

Rather than struggle to continue her sentence, she simply reached over and fixed the stray strands of hair.

"There, much better."

A loud noise came from behind her and she turned to see Ash holding Rain in a bridal position. She quickly ran over to them with a worried expression.

"Ash! Rain! Are you guys okay?"

Xavier wasn't sure on how to get himself to stop blushing, smacking himself a couple of times before walking up to Rain and Ash. "It's good to see you two alive," Xavier commented, completely ignoring the sudden hiss Komodo dropped at the two. "You two really made Rena worry." Xavier finally realized how they're right outside of Elder village. He wonders of long it would actually take to get here by walking.

"I-I'm okay...sorry for running off on my own."

Her throat really was killing her. She swallows another water bead, sighing in relief when it slides down to her stomach. Rain searches her bag for the mushrooms that she needs to finish the commission and smiles when she sees the purple shrooms safe and sound.

"Oh, you're still here, Xavier? I'm glad you were a bit worried about me, but what happened to your face?"

The komodo hisses at her, but she maintains her gentle smile.

"You're still pretty fierce, dragon. I guess I should apologize for suddenly putting your master in danger like I did."

She doesn't dare touch the komodo. The dragon continues to hiss at her but at a softer tone.

"Should we tell them what we told Ash?"

"Only if you take over my body and they connect the dots."

"Am I allowed to seduce-?"

"You are not allowed to seduce anyone unless we really need to!"

"Shame...I want to make Ash so flustered that he changes appearances again."

"You do that, and I'll actively search for a way for you to move on to the afterlife."

"That's pretty harsh, Rain. You certainly want to see it too."

"T-That's besides the point!"

Determined to not make a scene again, the dancer steps into town and pulls out the commission in order to distract herself from her other self's endless banter.

"Oh, I remember Echo! She should be at the opposite side of the town."

Airi smiled and tried patting the elf's head. His hair looked... So... Soft... And being pat on the head was also a sign of friendship! She thought.

Lara glanced at the red haired woman that had entered. She was clearly Elkashu's daughter, the new leader of the cowardly knights who would prefer to eat a picnic here in Elder than to defend their town. She finished her meal and was surprised by Airi's gesture. If the Elf didn't take it badly, Airi would keep herself alive.

A harsh reaction when she was surrounded by people that didn't trust her was the last thing she wanted. Steele had briefly looked at something underneath the table, a device of some sort clearly, that could maybe confirm his fear over her. She continued to speak, lowering her voice, so the Red-haired commander wouldn't hear her.

" Steele, I see. It's a pleasure. As you can probably guess, I'm an elf traveler myself, but this part of Elrios is not very welcoming for my people, it seems. I'm sure you can understand why I need to keep a low profile, for better or for worse."

She finished the mana flask she had to her left and felt her thirst be quenched briefly. It was better to not feed the cold flames of mistrust the man in front of her had; he could prove to be useful or dangerous. She knew their mission had to begin soon in order to be the only ones to take care of Lenphad's request. Last time she had been down that laboratory, the Nasods were still in their initial phase of development. Now, Wally should be closer to his original objective, that was certain. The machines were powered by the El, and it was too risky to assume that Elder's monarch hadn't used pure El to power his new army.

"Airi, Steele, I recently received a job that needs to be completed. The problem, for me, is that I have little intel gathered here to even begin my job. If you help me with it, I will separate the prize equally and..."
She looked Steele in the eye and continued her sentence in the forest elves' native language.
"You may take whatever valuable treasure we find, except for what I'll choose. The base reward is 5 million for each one of us. In gold ED. The treasures' value, I believe, can be estimated around 40 million more. A man of your caliber could hardly refuse this generous offer. You help me, I get you some money; I mean, business between two people don't need more trust than that, right?"

She looked at the confused Airi and told her what she had told the Elf, omitting everything but the value of the base reward.

"Sounds like a good bounty, doesn't it? The difficulty however, is up to the prize. Can I count on both of you?" She said, smiling at the two people around her.

As she was just about finished with her rabbit stew, she noticed the trio were whispering in a rather low voice. I can't hear anything they're saying, sheesh.

She placed a silver coin on the counter. The bartender nodded happily at the generous tip. Elesis slowly got up and walked over to the trio.

"Hello there! Are you three perhaps adventurers?" She said sweetly with a smile. Ugh.. I hate doing this kind of acting. But it's part of the job.

Ash spoke out a bit. "The day has barely started, it's about 1pm. I'll be here in the outskirts of Elder. We'll have to take a different route to Wally's Castle." Ash said as he hoped they understood that they can't just run into the noble's castle without attracting unwanted attention. Even more so with that Velder knight Elesis being around.​

He lowered his head slightly as the young girl pet him, blushing slightly. As for why he didn't react harshly, even he himself didn't know.

He listened calmly as the suspicious woman offered him a deal he couldn't refuse. Finishing his meal, he straightened up, and his ears perked when he heard the words "5 million" and "40 million" come out of her mouth. He mulled the deal over, and despite the red flags, he knew it was an offer he couldn't refuse.

"Deal." Turning to the strange woman, he gave her a slight nod.

Ash looked over at Rena. "Wally the ruler of Elder is making an army of Nasods along with super soldiers. I was asked to investigate it from the merchant Lenphad. My biggest worry is a rumor about a rather giant one they call the Nasod Inspector." Ash said as he tossed Rena a map. "Follow this map and you'll find me, then I'll get us all in nice and easy. Also here." Ash threw a heavy bag of golden coins towards Rena. "Use this to buy some potions. We'll be needing them."​

Her eyebrow twitched at the fact the three just struck a deal completely ignoring her.She felt her rage starting to bubble up. "Hey... Are you guys adventurers?" She said a bit louder, hoping to get their attention.

Rena caught the map and bag, staggering a bit from the weight.

"Ah, this is heavy!"

Her eyes widened as she peered inside the bag.

"This- How did you get- Never mind, I won't ask."

With the amount of ED she was given, it was possible to buy four bags of potions and the like, stocked to the very brim. But the problem was how she would be able to carry all of them until they meet up again at the castle. She turned toward Xavier with an angelic smile.

"Would you like to come with me, Xavier?"

Right when Ash was going to leave he remembered something. "Ah, Rena!" Ash throws Rena a white and green bow. "This is a gift. I received this as a gift from a rather experienced archer." Ash said then looked at Xavier throwing him a bag. "It was made using Alchemy, light weight feels as if 1000 items weren't in it."​

"Hmm?"

Rena caught the last item instinctively. She inspected the bow with interest. It felt comfortable in her hands, even more so than her previous bow. Like that one, this one also lacked a bowstring, a sign that it was crafted by an elven blacksmith. She'll have to test out its power later on when practicing.

"The archer that gave you this bow... Can you tell me his name?"

Ren turned to face the annoying woman, and he replied with a simple "Yes."

Lara nodded back and turned herself at the young commander that had approached them. She turned abruptly, pretending to be startled by her loud voice. She was nothing like her father, but kids rarely lived up to their parents' name. The red-head's mana, however, seemed to be exotic... and very spicy. A sort of mana only common among...fire mages. Elkashu probably forgot to teach her the way of the sword properly and the girl just went to play with whatever element she was compatible with until she learnt some "magic" out of it.

Lara bowed her head politely at the fire mage, hiding her disgust to see the Red Mercenary Knight's symbol on her clothes. With a polite smile, she spoke calmly after hearing Steele's reply:

"Hello, young girl."

"Are they in there?" He asked the two glitter soldiers guarding a large set of doors. They saluted towards him with their weapons at their side.

"A few of the members are inside, sir! They are expecting you!" They replied to him.

"Good, might as well get this over with quickly. Open the doors, will you?" He ordered them while they complied with his demand. As soon as they entered, a large round table stretched in the shape of a circle with a pentagram in the middle.

"Ohohohoh! If it isn't Dust! How are you? How are you?" Karis was the first to spot him. She is the current demon taking Sander into her hands, trying to awaken the slumbering Behemoth to overthrow the competition. She was also the second person to find him wandering around the demon realm.

"I've been better. Joaquin, you got that potion ready for me?" He asked the mad glitter alchemist, despite his reputation his potions were top notch, after countless experiments that is.

"Of course, young rookie. Though, I wonder what effect will it do to you?" He questioned with a grin in his lips.

"If anything happens to me, I'll be the one to emancipate you." He warned him as he drank the potion. The pain subsided greatly.

"Oh! No side effects! A great success, but oddly I'm slightly disappointed." He said with a whined tone.

"Can we hurry this meeting? My troops are waiting for me." Chloe said impatiently towards them. She's the lead commander of the forces of Velder and currently she conquers 65% of the region. She's also the first commander that Dust defeated alongside Victor, the strongest demon under Ran's command.

"I see that Ran, Scar and-"

"He he he! Sorry we're late, we've had a small detour." In said as he took his sit with Jin. "Sorry to say, but general Scar isn't going to show up."

"That's fine by me. I hate his guts." Karis replied while polishing her nails.

"So, what did you want to talk about Dust? It clearly needs to be important if you summoned all of us." Jin spoke up, going straight to the point.

"You never change, do you Jin? We'll start the meeting without Ran or Scar then." He said while standing up. "As you know, Berthe was killed during our battle to get the El crystal. But guess who was there to fight us off? The experiment that the conquering faction did. The dark water priestess."

"She's still alive!? How?" One of them exclaimed as this is the first sign of her existence.

"Not only that, the person that both In and Jin played with is still kicking. I still think the both of you shouldn't have done that, give the humans a lil' more respect, after all you both were one." He pointed towards them.

"Hey, we do us and you do you. Just don't butt in our entertainment." In said with a cheeky grin.

"Understood, we'll control ourselves in the future." She replied with an neutral gaze.

"Jin... Come on!"

"Next up, is this." He took out the El crystal from his sack bag. "The mission was successful."

"Unholy skies! You actually got it!" Karis exclaimed. "But, how!? Anyone in that situation would've failed to get that crystal!"

"True, but that's the next bit of news. We've got a new ally, the same one that got me the crystal. Hey, get over here!" He gestured Oblivio that was just standing away for a bit. "This is Oblivio, as you can see he's a disciple of Henir and the one that got us the El crystal."

Ash rubbed his chin as he tried remembering. "It was over 3 years ago, she was known as a Combat Archer among your people. She gave it to me as a gift if I ever find someone worthy of her title." Ash smirked a little at Rena. "Seems I find you worthy and so does the bow." Ash said as he turned around and headed to the spot.​

Xavier nodded his head at Rena, trying to not admire her beauty too much as her smile nearly made him smile right back in joy. "Yeah, I'll go with you, Rena," he answered as Komodo went ahead to hop off of Xavier and search around on the floor, as if he found an interesting scent. "Ready to go when you are, Rena."

"Combat Ranger..."

The name sent a jolt of excitement through her body. At the same time, she felt a sense of familiarity with the title. It felt as if she had heard of it before but she couldn't remember where.

"Alright, let's go shopping~"

Pushing the thoughts out of her mind, she linked arms with Xavier and headed toward a nearby potion store.

"Echo!" Rain exclaims once she finds the alchemist in her shop. The girl takes a lick out of her lollipop and gives a childish smile.

"Well, if it isn't Rain~ What brings you to Echo?"

She takes out the bundle of mushrooms and the commission and places them in her hands. Echo quickly looks over the request, silently nodding to herself.

"I posted this a while back. Must have been harder than I thought."

"The dark energy in that forest is stronger than expected. I hope that's enough."

"Of course! Here's your pay, Rain. It's nice to see you again."

"You too, Echo."

She walks away with a heavy bag of ED. Opening the pouch up and counting the coins inside, Rain giggles, happy that her funds have been restored.

"Might as well give Ash what I owe. Even if he doesn't want it, it's still pretty rude."

"Do you think they sell a more form-fitting dress here?"

"For El's sake, Rain, stop it with the dress-shopping. We settled on this back in Bethma."

She searches the town for her party leader, but only sees Rena dragging Xavier to a nearby shop. Rain decides to crash their little shopping trip.

"Rena, Xavier, have you seen Ash? I turned in my commission already."
