Fantasy [Private] El Stories

Xavier followed after Rain after finally getting Komodo to stop nibbling his boot, the dragon swiftly following. When he entered the the inn, Xavier squinted slightly at the girl he remembered back at the inspector battle. Even Komodo seem to pick up on this and emitted out a low growl. Though whatever was her business here didn't matter much to him. Xavier lightly nudged Komodo with his boot to get him quiet. Slowly the growling died out from the dragon.

"I see, excuse me then. Enjoy your drinks."

"That girl...I feel like we have seen her before."

Rain ignores her other self and asks the receptionist for two rooms and whatever they needed on her tab. Her hand grazes against Ash's hat, and she suddenly remembers the bizarre message that she heard from it. The dancer hands her a bag of excess ED and tells her the password to Ash's account. She looks at the blue-haired girl weirdly.

"He entrusted it to me."

After settling things with the receptionist, Rain drags her weary self to her room and takes out her worn ballerina dress, taking out a needle and some thread. She continues to sew throughout the day, not leaving the room until later on.

"Hmm, I should probably settle down for a bit to recover energy," Xavier mumbled to himself though before he could even move, he heard someone calling out to him.

"Dragon booooooooooooy"

"What in the name of..." Xavier looked around pub and spot Richian who just happened to walk in. Komodo glared at the man approaching them but made no threatening attempts. Though Xavier slightly wished the dragon can scare the strange man away.

"Glad to see you back in one piece!" Richian said happily, patting Xavier's shoulder, the bruised up one. Xavier did his best to not look upset and only nodded his head. "Hey, how about we get a drink? I'm sure you have some time on your hands, maybe you can hear me out on what I wanted to discuss earlier, hm?"

"...sure...but you're paying the drinks," Xavier said, gently smacking away Richian's hand from his shoulder.

"Not a problem!"

The two got themselves a drink, Richian ordering for ongoing refills whenever their cups get empty. They settled down at an empty table. Xavier ordered meat for Komodo just to keep the dragon busy on stuffing his stomach and recovering energy. So far it was working, the dragon was swift to devouring the large pile of meat he was given. Richian lets Xavier get a good sip of his drink before he starts talking.

"First let me start off with my father. A great man he is, my sister and I adore him. He used to own Richie Mines and made a business out of it for all sorts of things we find in that area. Unfortunately, an accident occurred in the main in which devasted my father's business. He passed down the deed to me and now I am under the ownership of the mine. But alas, the area was too unsafe. It was practically breaking apart, the rocks fall from up above and breaking the equipment from down below. Just a big wreck. I didn't want to risk anyone's safety, so I closed it down. Everything was perfectly fine at that point."

Xavier nodded his head as he listened to Richian's story, wondering where this was going.

"Until one day, I checked by the mines to see if I could possibly get some sort of good use out of it. Though to my surprise, I heard the engines going off, it echoed through the entrance and I thought I was going crazy! I got concerned right afterwards because I felt the ground shaking under my feet as if there were actual miners working down there! I was afraid the whole area would fall apart, so I went to warn Stella. I only got a door slammed right in front of my face."

"Oh ouch," Xavier mumbled through his cup. Though he was very interested in Richian's situation.

"Exactly. Toma listened to me but I didn't want the boy to go on his own to check it out. I didn't bother to tell Chacha Buch about it, only because he has his own issues that needed to be fixed. So! What I am asking here is, can you, and your group of friends, go and investigate in the mines? I am mainly concerned the safety of whoever is working down there. It's just too unsafe to be drilling holes into the ground," Richian said and with that, he stayed quiet for an answer.

Xavier pondered for a moment, wondering who could possibly mine in such dangerous area. Unless the mines had something valuable. "Well, it does sound interesting, I'll tell you that. I am...not sure if my group is up for another task but I can ask. I'm sure they won't let your call for help go unanswered."

Richian smiled, pleased with the answer. "Great! I'll wait for your word when you're done dealing with the lizardmen. For now, let's drink some more! How about we tell stories to pass some time, yes?" Richian offered.

Xavier nodded his head, actually looking forward to listening and telling stories himself. Their cups were refilled and the two went off into a chatter.

Lara noticed the dragon boy from the corner of her eye but didn't bother to even turn her attention around him more than the vague silhouette she perceived in less than a second. They all had come here, and in small towns she couldn't hide as well as in Elder. If everyone had to recognize her one way or another, so be it. Her mission wasn't here in any case and the poor excuse of a bounty she had been promised from Stella would be hers in a matter of days. Her stay here didn't need to be that long. Time passes and people forget, or at least she would make sure they did in due time.

Arya was back with enough for the night and invited Steele to sit down to their side. If Steele was going to stay, it was up to him, she couldn't care less. She had cut a deal and she would respect it. Now, she had the time to loosen up.

"Now, well..."She took a sip of the mild beer and glanced at the entrance, Airi had entered. Well, it was a little too late. If she wanted her pay, she'd have to wait until the following morning. "I've been around Elrios, mostly as a merchant, but also during my recent job as an adventurer. Arya, you're the woman of the night, my stories will be at your honour. Name a town or a place the best you can and I'll tell you a story about it."

Ren took his pay with a suspicious gaze. Only 5 million for a mission like that? Bull. But he went away, not wanting any problems with the vampire lady.

Taking the room key from Rain, he went to his room with Airi following him. The first thing he did was leave a pile of his stuff near the dresser. The only things he kept separate were his weapons.

"Don't peek!"
He told her as he went into the bathroom. He took off his clothes, preparing to take a shower. He smiled when he saw a small washing machine there. Thank God... he thought to himself as he tossed his soiled clothes in, added soap and water, and pressed the magic button.

Ten minutes later, Ren left the shower in high spirits, refreshed by the hot waters releasing the tension in his muscles. He put on a fresh pair of underwear as well as a bathrobe that was in the closet. He tied up the belt that came with it, securing the bathrobe to his body. WIth that, he unlocked the door and stepped out.

He saw Airi sitting on the bed, so he groggily made his way towards the other one and fell asleep without any word.

Drinks were drank and stories were told. Time passed between the two, up to the point where they're trying to tell stories. As the cups keep getting filled, Xavier found himself giggling through his stories. Strange as it sounds. As for Richian, he had a hard time following along, nearly falling off his seat when trying to grab the waitress attention. Xavier laughed at that, both exploding into laughter. He was grinning wide in delight.

"Ahh, I just love having a drink right after going out!" Xavier cheerfully said, chugging down another cup.

"Careful now! You don't want to drown yourself!" Chuckled Richian, gripping on his cup. "Ahhh, I ran out of stories to tell."

"Same here!"

"How about we sing?"

Xavier dramatically gasped at such suggestion, looking down at Komodo and back at Richian, as if he wouldn't believe it. Komodo rolled his eyes, nibbling a bone as he stayed close under the table.

"I forgot the last time I sang!"

"Go on! Sing your heart out!"

Xavier started to open his mouth and closed it after a second. He did it at least a couple of times before breaking into a fit of giggles. "I forgot how to sing!"

Both of them laughed and clank their cups together before drinking. Of course, Xavier actually had a song in his head, a song that was meant to calm raging dragons down. There was an interesting story about the song, he just can't remember the lyrics. Probably due to his mind going a bit hazy. Perkisas haven't said anything since when Rain wanted to talk to him. Xavier suddenly remembered how he should be resting. No way he could be able to fight again at night, especially drunk.

"Mother fuc- MOOOOM" Xavier abruptly got up, looking around before staring at a waitress.

"Boy," Richian laughed at the sudden attitude Xavier was giving to a random waitress. She looked so confused.

"Carry me to my room, please," Xavier said with a serious tone.

"Sir, you might be too heavy for me to carry you," replied the waitress with a dead stare.

Xavier blinked at the response and suddenly got an idea. He climbed onto the table, Richian moving the drinks out of the way with a grin on his face. "I'll fly then!"

"Don't be ridiculous, sir."

"Ridiculous? You're being ridiculous for not carrying me!" Xavier dramatic points at the female before him. "But you know what? You're right. I am heavy...I'll just strip myself to become lighter."

"No sir-"

Xavier already started with his gauntlets. "Can't stop, won't stop."

He actually had difficulties for some reason, unable to unstrap the gauntlets and found himself leaning to the side. He ended up on the ground, face planted and the table knocked over. His shoulder started to ache and Richian let out an "ooo" sound at the fall.

"...'tis but a scratch," Xavier reassured them as the waitress looked surprised from the fall. "...again, can't stop, won't stop- RICHIAN HELP ME WITH THESE GAUNTLETS"

Both worked their best with Xavier's gauntlets, having such serious and determined looks as the waitress sighed and kept watch to be sure they won't get ahead of themselves.

"Don't peek!" Steele said before closing the bathroom door. Airi was never going to peek in the first place.

She sat on one of the beds and stared into space, thinking.

How long would it be before Airi split from the group? She didn't really want to anymore. The voice inside her head didn't offer any reassurance either.

Steele came out of the washroom with a bathrobe and collapsed on the bed. He was going to catch a cold. Or maybe he won't. Elves are weird.

Airi entered the washroom and took a shower. Once finished, she changed into her pyjamas. A small washing machine was placed beside the shower. Airi took out Steele's clothes, folded them, and dumped in her own. She added some soap and water, pressed the magical button, and the machine whirred to life.

Airi exited the washroom and stared at Steele's sleeping form. Should she tuck him in or not? She found herself pulling a blanket over Steele's body, not bothering to answer the question.

A sudden thought passed Airi. Was Steele ticklish? She looked down at the peaceful elf. A sly grin slowly made her way onto her face.

She tickled his neck. Hopefully she won't die.

"Mmmnh..." he moaned, awakened by strange sensations on his neck. After a few seconds, Ren began to giggle instinctively, tossing and turning in an effort to avoid his attacker.

A shockwave of panic rippled throughout his body when he felt someone sitting on his torso. With his left arm pinned as well, Ren used his right hand to cover his mouth, vainly hoping to suppress his wild giggling. He opened his eyes and saw that his attacker was none other than Airi.

"A-Airi!" he whimpered through his hand. "Stohohohop!" Tears glistened in his eyes as he was assaulted. Why oh why did I let her in here with me...

"Please!"
he cried out, gritting his teeth to avoid giggling. "I just want to sleep! Hahaha!"

Airi widened her eyes. What was she doing...

Letting go if Steele, she mumbled a quick "sorry" before jumping into her own bed and pulling the covers over her body. She went to the edge of the bed, distancing herself from Steele.

Away from Steele, away from everyone...

Arya doubted before asking for Lara's knowledge on Bethma and its surroundings. Lara lifted her cup to cheer for the tale to come as Steele took his leave. Perfect. Now alone with Arya, she began her story on how she traveled years ago the continents for the first time and got lost in the middle of the desert as she was crossing Pilgrim's Gateway. She had passed almost three days and the water bottle she carried with her was growing drier by the hour. It took the help of a lizardman to guide her towards Leikiki lake. Then, she found another group of merchants that guided her to Bethma.

She continued her story but paid close attention to the lizard boy's conversation with Richian. He was probably giving that quest to anyone listening, but that prize was already hers. Besides, that boy and his group would be too...tired the following day to pursue her pace. Alcohol flowed as songs and music from wooden flutes inebriated the clients with bliss. She had already taken 6 cups and was beginning to feel a little tipsy as she heard the lizard boy holler to a waitress as he stood on a table. She lost the trail of her words and burst out laughing as she saw him fall and clapped slowly by the spectacle he was giving without shame.

Looking at Arya with a smirk, she lowered her tone of voice and asked after pointing discreetly at the lizard boy's direction: "Are you too tired for an extra show before the night wears off, Arya?"

Ren was grateful when Airi got off of him. His chest heaved up and down, relishing in those moments of uninterrupted breathing. The last thing he needed was some lost sleep, even if it was over some good camaraderie. But even after Airi left, Ren still let out a few cute fits of giggles here and there.

It was a well-kept secret that had to get out somehow. An embarrassing weakness for someone who's called a mercenary. There was only one other time something like that happened to him. It was when Ren got captured by a succubus and—never mind. Perhaps some things are best left forgotten.

The elf finally settled down under the heavy covers. The covers were quite comfortable, and they were accompanied by huge, soft pillows. A smile formed on his lips as he closed his eyes, and he fell asleep like a baby.

"Ahh I think I'm done for the day," Richian said, leaving Xavier on the floor as his gauntlets were difficult to get off. He put the table back up. "I don't want Stella to come over and see me completely passed out and not doing my job. I already got my ear tugged way too many times. Take care now~." Richian went ahead to pat Xavier's head before he walks around the drunk teen and out of the inn.

Xavier pouted as he gave up with his gauntlets. He slowly got up, grinning when he heard laughter and clapping at his way. Though, he now felt like it was really best to rest up. His shoulder was aching. Komodo aid Xavier through his struggling of getting onto his feet, chirping at his trainer. The waitress was still there, in case for any further assistance.

"Mind if I order a steak to eat up in the room?" Xavier questioned and smiled at the waitress. She seems to be a taken back from the smile, yet she nodded her head and went ahead to collect up the empty cups.

Xavier let her do her job and went ahead to reach the room, tripping over nothing for some time and Komodo growling in alarm at his clumsy walking. He reached up to the door and knocked. Even drunk, he still has a sense of privacy to his roommate for the night.

"Knocky, knock knock," Xavier said and leaned against the door, his forehead pressed against the wood. "Lemme in to resty." Xavier made a second attempt to pry himself off his gauntlets as he waits against the door.

Rain
Rain can hear the ruckus outside her room as she sews. The room next to her was also making banging noises, and she lightly shivers when she thinks she hears a high-pitched moan. Trying to tune out the noise, Rain tries to sing one of the songs that her other self sounds better at, but she stops when she hits a certain part in the chorus where her soft voice and the mood of the song really didn't mix. She continues to weave her needle through the skirt of her dress.

"Why can't I sound like you...?"

"You should be happy your voice sounds like it does...I personally think that it's more useful."

"But still...I feel limited when my voice sounds like this..."

"Knocky, knock knock. Lemme in to resty."

The healer recognizes Xavier's voice, but it was more sloppy, less coherent. Rain instantly concluded that he was drunk. Making sure her dress is safely on her bed, she walks over and opens the door. Xavier stumbles twice, almost falling onto her, as he wobbles his way inside, pulling on his gauntlets.

"I see you had a good time, Xavier. Is there any reason why you're having a hard time taking that out?"

His komodo walks alongside him and hops onto his bed. It gives a soft hiss before resting smack in the middle of the bed.

"The straps, the straps are mixed around," Xavier slurred, watching Komodo going on the bed. He gestured to the straps around his arms, tugging them but they were actually loose. Xavier was just holding them on. "I don't know how to work around this..." Xavier mumbled, tugging around the straps. Though it almost looks like he doesn't want to take them off. He rarely takes them off since he hates the scars he have around his arms. Except when washing up. Xavier feels like washing up right about now. "I should probably take a shower..."

Xavier pouted and he first went ahead to sit on his bed, avoiding on sitting Komodo's tail. He hesitated for a moment before actually taking the gauntlets off. He felt the cool air on his arms and shivered in response. There was many scars; some were claw marks and others were burn marks. Xavier sighed deeply and trail his fingers against the long scar that runs up to his elbow.

"Hm, at least some can fade.."

"Aww... Richian is such a boring man!" she mumbled as she ended her seventh cup. It was wise to stop partying before she lost her awareness and her lead to the next bounty. Lara smiled as she said her goodbyes to Arya and exited the inn. She felt a little dizzy, but her steps weren't affected by that sensation. Nasods in Richie Mines...now that was a first. Now that she remembered, there were some of them in that ship. How problematic. After a deep sigh, she leapt towards Richian's shop roof and once there, dashed towards the northeast. Even with enhanced speed by her magic, her steps got sloppy and she had to stop in the middle of the desert. The sun was setting and she had no idea where the other adventurers would be heading now.

One way or another, Arya and her new companions would find their way there and they would probably fight against them. Their odds weren't good. None of them were weak enough to be handled easily. Lara didn't have any doubts on Henir's disciple, Dust and her own strength. However, the crazy kid and Rena could drag them down if any sort of combat broke out. Maybe not that much for Rena, since elves teach their kids how to fight, but the human one looked very weak. If he were to die in combat, the difference in number could easily turn the fight against the rest of them. She began to meditate and connected her mind with the new seals she had created. Once the link was stablished, she was able to reach Dust's mind.

"You have trouble coming your way. Lizard boy and the rest of the kids from the underground laboratory are here. A bounty was put on the Nasods lurking in a local mine and..."Lara interrupted her words as the shadow of a lizardman appear near her. She put her hand on her weapon and cut the link. She got up and the setting sun revealed the one who had saved her many years ago. She sighed in relief and welcomed him:

"Well, well, Kayak! It's been a long time."
"Indeed, Elf. You've...changed....you depend on life around you to pursue your own, don't you?"
"...Looks like nothing can escape your senses. Good to see you back in your tribe."
They talked for a while and Lara learned more or less how Kayak came back to power and what his plans for the humans on his territory were.

"I'm counting on you for a very special job, my reward to you is a technique that will make you gather mana more efficiently."

"Sounds good...but I need some proof for that first. I don't work for free, you know that."
The lizardman chuckled and called forth a dark energy that pierced Lara's arm. She grunted in pain and got ready for a counter-attack. Once the pain was gone, a small tribal tattoo had appeared on her wrist. She looked at it and felt that it was indeed a mana-absorbing spell. Instinctively, she stretched her arm and put her hand over the sand and began to absorb its mana like she would normally do. In seconds, a five hundred meter radius of black sand formed around her. All of its mana was gathered in the small tattoo. Lara looked up to the dark shaman and chuckled. With more of this kind of power, the five adventurers wouldn't stand a chance.

"Alright, Kayak. If this is only a small glimpse of that magic, I'd like to see more of it as my full reward. What's the job about?"

"Good choice, Elf. Come with me to the Dragon Nest."

"Dust isn't pulling any punches! He's really trying to push me! Ah, my legs! They're so tired, I can barely take any more of this!" Rena whined in her mind as they continued their practice. They've been training the whole day, just clashing with each other without any kind of breaks.

"Don't just take it! Attack!" He yelled at her as they continued to kick each others legs. One more clash and he saw how the chains on her legs started to tremble. That was good, it means that they're speeding the process nicely.

"Okay! Here I go!" She responded back, flipping around and using the momentum to make her kicks land certain on him. He continued to guard as she went for one more attack. "Crescent Kick!" She yelled while shooting wind bladed arrows from her kicks.

He recoiled from the damage, being significantly different from before. He was waiting for that.

"Almost." He replied while the energy that pumped both arms and legs escalated higher than before, it waved as it faded in the air. As it looked like, he was starting to get serious, that last attack made him want to return the favor. Noticing that she might've gone a bit too far with her attack, she shuddered while putting as solid as a guard as she could.

"You have trouble coming your way. Lizard boy and the rest of the kids from the underground laboratory are here. A bounty was put on the Nasods lurking in a local mine and..."A link was made out of nowhere and Tureen's voice was the one ringing. Warning Dust of intruders that will snoop around the cave.

"Tch." He clicked his tongue, cutting the flow of energy from his members, he looked at Rena that looked confused. "Training for today is over."

"Oh thank the El..." She fell on her knees. Never before had she felt so tired on her legs.

"Tomorrow we'll start gathering ingredients, afterwards we'll only do light sparing and after that we'll see how the makeshift Nasods are faring on gathering the fuel we need." He explained to her while waiting for her to stand back again. A few minutes later and she still hasn't got up. "What's taking you?"

"I kinda can't... move my legs." She informed him while rubbing her left arm. A closer look and there were marks all over them, bruises of training, the blows and the chains made things difficult.

"For crying out..."
He sighed while picking her up on his arms.

"Dust, w-what are you doing!?" She asked not sure on how to take this, since from outside her perspective he was carrying her bridal style.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm carrying you back to the ship. It'll be a hassle to just let you stay here and catch a cold after that training session." He replied back while heading towards the platform.

"You don't have to! I just need a few more minutes to-"
Just as she said that, her stomach finally gave away. This embarrassed her while looking down.

"You can complain later, right now I'll need to take a look at your legs and fetch you a salad. You forest elves just eat anything that grows right? Cabbage and such right?"

"Y-yeah." She responded back as they entered the ship.

Entering her room that she used on the night before, he laid her down on the bed and made the chains to move out of the way to have a better look. There was some black marks here and there and some swelling in certain parts.

"Just your luck. I'll go get the medicinal ointment from my bag, give me a moment." He returned to his room, grabbed the item and two pills from his casing, not to forget a glass of water. Returning to her she gave her the pills and glass of water first. "Swallow those, it'll make the pain subside bit by bit."

She took the pills and swallowed them with the help of the water.

"This'll sting a bit and it might feel slippery too." He warned her as he put the ointment onto her legs and started to rub them.

"Ah! That hurts... not that much?" She thought to herself as he gave her legs a massage while being careful of her black spots. As time progressed, he started to move on the other spots, the pain wasn't much nor that intense either. And the way he was doing it was very skillfully. "You're doing it pretty good, where did you learn that?" She asked curiously.

"When you've spent most of your time in the demon realm, you learn a thing or two along the way. You'd be surprised on how not that different things are with incubus and succubus demons or even glitters into that matter with normal humans and elves." He explained while noticing that the black marks were starting to fade. He put a little more effort and the swelling started to decrease as well.

"So, you've done this before with them?" She asked a little surprised.

"You need to start at the bottom to get somewhere, Rena." He spoke no more as he finished the massage. Her legs seemed far better than what they were from before. "I'll go get your food." He informed her while leaving her room.

Now that she was alone and after hearing that, her mind started to think on what he's been through. People called him a demon general, but he's always telling them that he wasn't, why?

"What happened to you, Dust?" She asked to herself while thinking some more. After a while he came back with her food in hand.

"Here you go, a salad dressing with onion rings and tomato. Not to mention some rice and baked potatoes." He listed it off while seeing her eyes brighten to the food in front of her.

"Thank you for the food!" She announced while starting to eat it with delight.

"I'll come back later to pick up the plates and to finish healing your legs. Rest for now." He told her as he went to do a small patrol on the ship.

Doing some initial tests, the two gathered that it wasn't like a fungus being, but it acted as a virus on the host and that it could corrupt certain metals into a new kind of metal that was much stronger than before, but also released a foul aura.

With Carna's help and knowledge, they were able to deduce and cut many theories in the way of it, thinking of a way to at least stop it from spreading throughout Carna's body.

As they ran one more test, Edward's attention was taken when he looked at his early prototype.

"Hmm... hey Carna, what if we can use Nasod technology to keep it under control? We're heading towards Altera, the island in the sky on the story books, maybe we can make something around these makeshift Nasods to contain the Chaos with it being the catalyst, maybe even put an El crystal in there as well to counteract it?" He voiced out while grabbing his early prototype and slightly modifying it to his actual one and giving it to him.

"I'm already making a new creation called the Nasod Armor, maybe with this I won't be as frail as I am now. I just need to tinker with it for a little longer before being operational. What do you say we test both the creations once we're done?" He asked while noticing that the test came out negative. He was not amused that the things they've done had not laid any good results as of now.

Her eyes widen at the sight of Xavier's uncovered hand. His hand was caked with scars and deep burns. She immediately walks over and gently holds his hand to survey it.

"Oh my...this has been through a lot...what happened...?"

Xavier snaps his hand back and drunkenly demands her to drop it.

"Get some rest then. I'll wake you in a few hours."

Once he entered the bathroom, Rain picks up her dress and starts sewing again. Her other self watches over her, occasionally humming and recalling past memories.

"Why do you want to talk to Perkisas? His fate in your world wasn't so great..."

"You mean when he was exiled and then hunted by the demons?"

"In my world, he doesn't exist."

"Well then, it's only for curiosity's sake. He is still regarded as a powerful force."

Xavier had somewhat a difficult time of washing himself up. Mostly because his head was spinning due to him for drinking a tad bit too much. Or maybe more than a tad. He kept dropping the soap and nearly slipped throughout his shower. Also, he almost used up the hot water. Xavier always showers in hot water. The time he was done and drying himself up with a towel, he noticed something peculiar.

"Whaat..?" Xavier tried to look over his bad shoulder and noticed a strange golden tattoo. He didn't remember having a tattoo. "Don't tell me I was drunk when this happens..."

"No, I did that." Xavier jumped slightly at Perkisas' voice, almost forgetting that he is there and always there.

"Why? What does it mean?" Xavier questioned out loud.

"Ugh..." Perkisas sighed as if was too bothered to explain. "Your head such a mess...the tattoo represents the power I granted you. Back in my world, I grant my power to those who defeat...pass my trial by simply giving them a powerful weapon to wield. Though there are three stages for the weapon to obtain maximum power. Since I am stuck in your body, I can't physically give such thing, but I can grant my power into your body. The tattoo marks my strength that I had granted. I suppose it works the same, except you are the weapon. Those gauntlets as well represent my powers, but the majority of it is from you, Xavier. "

"...ha, you said my name!" Xavier cheered and slightly groaned at his head pounding.

"Tch, why do I get a feeling that you didn't pay attention to me," Perkisas grumbled in annoyance.

Xavier grinned though it was quick to fade when he stared down at his arms. He hoped they would be gone after a hot shower but apparently not. He went ahead to finish drying himself, putting on his pants and briefly picked up his shirt. The tear was needed to be fixed. Xavier went ahead to open the door of the bathroom and surprised about how much steam got out. He shivered slightly when the heat left the bathroom. Xavier stood by the doorway of the bathroom, fiddling a bit with his shirt before walking out. He made extra sure that his shirt was covering up his arms, still ashamed for his marks. Hell, he had more like the one at the side of his neck but his arms made him more upset.

"Rain, are you too busy with your dress?" Xavier asked the girl as he studied the clothes she was wearing and comparing to the dress. His drunk self was surprised on how revealing her clothes were as if he didn't notice before, his eyebrows raised up. "I just remember about you saying how you'll fix this tear but if you're too busy, then I can try to fix it myself...just when I'm sober." Xavier offered a sheepish smile, subconsciously putting a hand up on his forehead because of his headache.

"I can fix it. Even though I would like to change as soon as possible, your clothes is needed more than mine."

Taking care to grab his clothes gently, Rain changes the thread in her needle and starts weaving the area that is supposed to cover his shoulder. His bed creaks as he crashes onto it, lightly snoring with his pet dragon. The singer sings another tune, one about golden swords and oceans, that drowned out the ruckus of the inn. She sang the variations that she knew, losing track of time as her hands expertly fix the destroyed patch in his clothes. By the time she connected a thin layer, the sun was starting to set, dying the room a bright orange.

"That should do for now."

Looking back at the sleeping boy, Rain smiles as she places his clothes near him. His komodo lazily opens its eye, peeking at her. The singer puts a finger to her lips as if to silence it, and she leaves the room to knock on Steele's and Airi's room's door.

"Wake up, lovebirds. We're leaving soon, and don't you dare deny anything. I heard ALL of that."

Oblivio/Carna

"Sounds like a good idea," he answered whilst working on something. His Operators didn't usually have a visible field. He might migrate his 'medium' into the new class. Carna himself usually used half-scythes to strike the operator field, which amplified his energy and magnified the input. The result? A stronger output. The cost of his way of fighting was that he was easily corruptible, but since when did that matter to him the past few years? Hennon had helped him in building his current battle system, but Hennon didn't exactly matter now. "Remember the medium concept I explained before? If I'm changing the operator field, it's possible to change my mediums to something else. I was thinking of using a sub machine gun with a short sword."

The current problem was...how was he going to block out that voice entirely? Not using the zealots' comms was easier enough, but that voice was another matter. He just had to not pay attention to it. It bothered him, though. He just hoped that relying on Nasods would do something about it.

"You left, didn't you? It's never too late, child. Come back here...come back and I'll give you freedom. In the end, family bonds do not matter when everything will end soon, yes? So come back...you understand the futility of this, don't you?"

It was never too late to turn back from all of what he had done.
