Fandom Pokemon: Worlds Unfurled

The Pokédex is the only thing you get, and it comes with most features of the Xtransceiver, as it has most features like an , and it's free upon completion of registration for the Pokémon League. I'll be detailing this in the intro post, which should be ready sometime by this afternoon around 1-2pm Pacific Standard Time (for anyone not on the west coast).

Thats one tricked out pokedex xD . I had my character start with one because the picture I have had something that looks very similar so I wrote it into her description.

Okay, great. I'm so excited! I keep refreshing this page even though RPNation gives me notifs without refreshing but whatevs.

Oh, I'm sorry, Kyero, I should get a dump truck to hold all my questions. SORRY AGAIN

So what age do you get your first pokemon? And if you got it before 16/17 (the age that most of our character's are now) we can have them slightly trained, right? So they'll know more moves. But I'm suspecting they got them recently.

I'm working off Eastern time so that'll be around 4ish for me. I think

Perhaps put a pictures of the Pokedex we're using and what it can do on the Items page so there's no confusion?

@cloudyblueday From everything said so far we are getting our first pokemon at the start of the RP. Like we're going and registering to be trainers and then going to the professor of the town/city to get our starter.

Riiight. I'm sorry, with all these questions I've been asking I've forgotten the ones that have actually been answered! Alright, I'll shut up now. :x

Your minimum age to start a Pokemon Journey is 16, but the age at which you receive your Pokemon varies. For the sake of the RP, you will have received your Pokemon just before beginning your journey like Sakura did. So you'll only have had it for a few days. Your first Pokemon will know at least three moves, and they all have to be conducive to their body type. So Bulbasaur won't know tail whip, for example, nor will a Pokemon like Froakie know scratch as it has no claws to use for such a move.

So for example, Blaze will only know Scratch, Tail Whip, and Growl.

Speaking of, I decided to skip through Sakura's first three days to show how the process of becoming a Pokemon Trainer goes. There is legal paperwork to fill out and sign and an interview which will be recorded for the records of the authorities in case you do anything illegal or otherwise uncivilized in the future. One that is over, which takes about half an hour, you are given your Pokedex which comes with the kinds of apps I mentioned in the post as well as a private account for your Pokemon League finances, which you receive $2,000 automatically.

So from here on out her adventure will move forward day by day as I mentioned before, but I had to move forward a bit to make sure that certain things were laid out and understood. If you guys have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Little map to help, I sure as heck need it. :P

So Kyero, are we all going to be posting our journeys to Viridian in one post like you did and getting all that stuff out of the way?

You can post yours however you like. Sakura left from Pallet and took three days to get there on her own. And again, I had to speed her first leg up to demonstrate a few things at the end of my post so that the process of obtaining your Pokedex and such was understood.

How you go about your journey is up to you.

Awesome map!

For those of us coming from a different region is it possible our trainers registered with in our home region to obtain a pokedex and pokemon? Or does the whole thing need to happen in Kanto?

An interesting thought. If starters are the only pokemon that people could start out with, why then are they generally not encountered via trainer battles? Maybe starter pokemon are rotated every year or every so many trainers to keep everyone from having the same pokemon.

That was my longest post in a roleplay ever. And it feels really, really good because I usually never get to write such lengthy posts.

:D

Very nice cloudy! ^^ I have a feeling there are going to be quite a few long posts. but thats whats fun about it.

Coming from a different region you can have obtained your Pokemon and Pokedex in your home region but you will need to register it in the new region via the same basic process in Kanto that Sakura went through.

Also, we don't encounter the starters in the games/manga/anime often because they're supposed to be special. In this RP, they're just another Pokemon so it's likely you'll run into them later on.

Oh, and there will be MANY more giant posts. My longest post was not on this website, but it was nearly 10,000 words and took up more than two thirds of an entire post page.

I don't think I'll reach quite that far, but you can expect large posts out of me fairly consistently. This intro post was rather tame as I was in a bit of a rush to get it done before classes start again in a little bit. I look forward to seeing MANY big posts from all of you!

I'll be back on in a few hours.

I can expect some of those LOL if mine ever get that long I'll put them in a spoiler so it doesn't stretch the page too much. Some of my posts are going to be Colabs with @DamagedGlasses and another member who is signing up for the RP as well. Mostly to avoid a lot of short posts that were mostly chatter or talking.

One thing I forgot to ask before, I know you're going to be putting up a list of pokemon available to the trainers as we travel the paths. I was wondering/hoping if Ralts would be possible to catch at some point in the region.

XP Ralts has been my favorite pokemon of all times since gen 3 first came out. I've had one on my team every time I start a new game. Even if I have to trade it in at level 5 or as an egg from another game.

It's totally adorable. But it's okie, you can have it.

Hey, Kyero, did you posit the list of pokemon we'll be running into or not yet? Just wonderin' c:

That'd be kind of awkward though. No matter, I'll maybe later on ask for a Sylveon. Love those. Or maybe an Espurr. Also love those.

I am at school right now but I will be posting the list of available Pokemon in a new thread I'll be requesting. It should be up in about 2 hours or so depending.
