Fandom Pokemon: Worlds Unfurled

Ah oks! Yeah... Playing Ruby now makes me want to change a few pokemon in my team. I forgot how much I love this region!

and OMG the features and gadgets in this game who else thinks the dexnav is awesome?

I just got both games yesterday morning and I'm enjoying the bejeezus out of them! I got a shiny Beldum holding a megastone, and caught a couple hidden Pokemon with some nice moves to boot! It's awesome!!

Oh, not much. People dying and stuff. No biggie.

Phew. I come back after being gone for a day and everything goes to hell.

Poor Geoffrey. I don't think he'll be able to survive in this world lol

A Pokemon Trainer's skill and the strength of their Pokemon cannot be gauged from the number of badges they possess. I'm using them as a time marker, not a strength marker. Ash in the anime was a pansy most of his adventure despite how many badges and Pokemon League tournaments and such he partook in. Half his battles were won on luck or some kind of deus ex machina device to save him and his Pokemon at the last second.
In this RP, you strength will be judged by the Pokemon you keep and how well you strategize and work as a unit.

Consider this: Most Pokemon Trainers form a strong bond with their Pokemon, but they seldom ever become as one with them.

Why?

They still call themselves "Pokemon Trainers," and whether they're conscious of it or not they believe in the depths of their heart that they are superior to their Pokemon. Why else is the Pokemon meant to be kept in a ball rather than stand as an equal without it? Even if they call them family and love them with all of their hearts and convince themselves that they are equals, most Pokemon Trainers believe their Pokemon to be companions, but little more. Almost never do they think of their Pokemon as a part of their own being. They say they work as one, but solid teamwork alone does not a seamless unit make.

Perhaps along the way, through their despair and the hopelessness and anger, our characters could realize this fact. That the bond most Trainers consider to be their greatest strength has in fact been underestimated and taken for granted this entire time and that Team Rocket's idea of strength is nothing but a facade of a Pokemon in pain. Perhaps, someday, our characters could come to realize that by truly becoming one with their Pokemon as opposed to just being a powerful team, that they may find salvation from this mess and find the strength to fight back.
Soo this whole post makes it sound like you want emotions to dictate how a battle goes regardless of strategy... While you did say

you seem to follow it up by completely contradicting yourself in the next couple paragraphs...
could you clear up what you meant?

Is it all right if I put in an application? I'm going to have it finished and submitted sometime tonight.

Eh, I don't find much fun in playing a character who's only goal is to kill, steal and cause destruction... I know there can be more to a character than that but the way the team is being painted doesn't really seem like they would be up for much conversation.

Woulf Geoffrey Join?
Hard to say, but if they made it sound good enough, or even scared him enough, he might join them.

I think it would give a different perspective on the world of Pokemon to play a villain versus playing a trainer.

The bigger question is, would they let him join? Or would they just kill him?
Very true. I think that would be kind of one of those situations no one would know how it would turn out until it happened, but it's all a moot point anyway. Kyero said joining Team Rocket was forbidden; however, I think it would be an interesting change of pace to play an antagonist in the world of Pokemon.

I think it would be cool if the only way to get a chance, even a sliver of hope to defeat Team Rocket, theyll have to join Team Rocket undercover. Give up their pokemon, take a test, kill someone to prove it, etc.

I don't think they would. If they had their Pokemon taken away, then they would know who they belonged to due to hacking into the Pokedex files and getting all the information. So it would be difficult, borderline impossible, to do such a thing. Nice thought though. It does sound interesting to go undercover, but it doesn't sound very...possible.
