Pokemon Seniti Region

Seth raised his eyebrows and mentally sighed. Perhaps someone was going to chastise him for his Blaziken's antics. He turned and looked at the green-garbed girl and tried his best to smile, even though he believed the girl would be his downfall for the moment.

"Aha, yeah, that's me,"
he remarked sheepishly. "Sorry if I caused any trouble..."

"Trouble?" Kaylie asked, "No no trouble. Though it was amusing. But I was wondering something else. You see my friend over there," She indicated JC who was still sitting at the table reading the POKEcomm instructions, "Has had a Combuskin for years. I know that's it has more than enough exprience to evolve into a Blaziken but JC hasn't evolved it yet. Since you evolved yours could you tell me any reason you could think of not to evolve a Combuskin?"

Seth followed the girl's nod and found her companion to be the one trainer with the Combusken. Ah yes, the evolution talk. While he wasn't sure he was entirely correct, his theory meant more sense than anything else he had heard, and thus, Seth turned back to the girl with a polite smile. Besides, he was glad his pokemon got a few chuckles, even if he would be angered by such a reaction.

"Well, the way I see it, evolution is always a personal choice. It's primarily the will of the pokemon that decides whether or not to evolve," Seth replied. "Of course, the trainer has some input as well, which might explain why your friend keeps his pokemon the way it is. He might prefer a Combusken to a Blaziken because of the speed boost. A smaller fighter is a speedy, hard to hit opponent, but they can be whacked about like a ragdoll if they're not careful. If it's the Combusken's choice to not evolve, then it must have some reason as to why. Perhaps it feels pride and chooses not to change who it is. Maybe it's fine the way it is."

'Or maybe he just wants to catch others off guard,' the Purrloin purred as she gazed at something shiny.

"...Or maybe he just wants to catch others off guard," Seth repeated to the girl.

Nex walked into the Pokecenter with his elgyem, Relic, levitating at shoulder height next to him [telekenisis]. He figured that he would keep Sage in his pokeball because it might bring up an awkward moment with the blaziken if he wasn't. He figured that he could heal his group and move on to the bounty board. He also figured that they might want to tag along. They seemed to be near his level; some below and some above. He walked over to one of the healing stations and noticed them in another line. He decided to go talk to them after he got his pokemon healed.

"Excuse me," Nurse Joy said towards Seth. "Your pokemon have been restored to their proper health!"

Seth turned around and saw the pink-haired nurse had a small tray in her hands. On it were his two pokeballs containing Ken and Lombardi. Smiling, Seth took the balls and attached them to his belt. Pokecenters were awesome because they were also a haven for pokemon, both wild and trained. The center healed all, and it was all free of charge! Of course, the center had to make money somehow, so they sold items and rented out rooms.

"Thank you Ma'am," Seth replied with a nod. "You have a good day." He stepped to the side and turned back to the girl in green. "I uh, hope what I said makes sense. Was there anything else?"

"Woah" Was Dane's simple response.

He looked to Nuzleaf and activated his PokeComm.

"Well hi and welcome to the team!"

He reached out his hand and Nuzleaf suddenly hugged him. To say the least, Dane was shocked. It was quite a difference from being fried by Charmander.

"So now what?"

He looked to Matt.

"I would recommend naming it." Matt said. He was glad that Dane had an evolved pokemon, but he was concerned about what was going to happen to the charmander. Sure, he would probably use him whenever and ice, grass, or steel type came along, but he would probably use the Nuzleaf more often. "You might want to name your charmander while you're at it."

"Names, I dunno I kinda like Charmander and Nuzleaf. I'll stick with that!"

He smiled as he returned Nuzleaf to the FriendBall and pocketed his now full PokeBalls.

"Now that I have two Pokemon, maybe we can do some more missions..."

Dane looked over the board carefully as he placed his finger along it going down the list of missions.

"Hmmm... nope, not this one, nah, no, not a chance, maybe...not, nope, nu-uh, nah! Yes, this one!"

Dane said finally choosing one as he poked his finger at it.

"It says Level 1, it says a bunch of Pokemon have been stealing from a local grocery store and they want someone to find out which Pokemon and to stop them from stealing all their food!"

Dane said to Matt looking for approval as he nodded his head in anticipation.

"Sounds good, but I think that you should do it on your own. Level 1 missions aren't challenging or rewarding enough for a level 3 like myself. You should also be able to battle on your own." Matt said. "I'll just stay here and see if they have some level 3 things for me to do."

(Should we do a legendary quest? It would be a minor legendary like Entei or Latios, so it would be a level 2 mission. We could also use a plot for it, so any ideas?)

(Well maybe we could have an insane scientist trying to control weather with a machine that uses Pokemon to control weather like Jellicent and a Damp Rock to create Rain, Sandslash and Smooth Rock to create Sandstorms, Glalie and Ice Rock to create Hail and Magmar and Heat Rock to create overly Sunny Days along with his main Pokemon a Castform.

Then Raikou disliking the weather controlling comes down in a strike of lightning to destroy the entire city to get rid of this machine. It's just a quick random idea...)

(Give me a sec to get caught up Ugh but I've been wondering.... do you guys think I should quit? I can't get on very much. because no net at home and we live 20 to 30 min away from town. And we're kinda poor. Normally i can get on Sunday's, Monday's and Tuesdays. But it depends.)

Kaylie listened as Seth went over his explanation. She did kinda of get it. Though She couldn't help that there might of been more too it. The fact that JC might want to utilize Blaze's size with it's Speed Boost ability. "Hmmm..." Kaylie said thinking aloud, "Still seems like there's more to it than that." Kaylie's thoughts were interrupted with Nurse Joy giving Seth's pokemon back. So Kaylie handed Nurse Joy three pokeballs. Nurse Joy nodded as she placed them inside a machine. When Seth asked if there was anything else she just shrugged. But then a thought came to her. "I have two other questions," Kaylie brought up, "One is that there are Gym's in this region right? The second is that I've heard rumors of the Pokemon Latios appearing some where in this region. Do you know anything about it?"

(Major Mario Just letting you know I posted)

(JCKane: it's your choice. If you are leaving I would suggest that your character doesn't just disappear into thin air, have your characters leave too. Like I said, IF you're leaving. you don't have to leave.)

Nex soon had his pokemon healed and walked near where Seth and Kaylie were talking. He decided that he would listen in to see where the conversation went. He heard about Latios and was quickly interested. He was always interested in psychic types; the mental domination to think 4 steps ahead of your opponent, as well as the varied techniques to mess up the opponent's strategy, makes them a deadly opponent. Unfortunately, psychic types don't have a lot of type variety. Having only psychic types would be impractical as one dark type can mess you up. He continued to listen to their conversation as Relic playfully did spins in midair while he was levitating.

(Thesmashbro All right. but as of right now I'm staying but if things get to hectic at home I'll be dropping til the hetic dies down. And yes if I do I'll write my character(s) out in some way.)

"I assume there are gyms in this region. I can't imagine a region without a place for trainers to prove themselves," Seth said with a chuckle. "As for Latios... Hmm... I've heard nothing about that pokemon. I just got here, really."

Cleopatria smirked and leaned back on Seth's shoulder. Her eyes twinkled with a mischievous energy as she fawned over an imaginary diamond.

'Mmm... Think of all the shiny things that can be... found in the oddest of places...' she snickered.

Seth gently bapped the top of the dark cat's head before giving her a small stroke.

"And we're not here to steal anything, either," Seth growled, more so at the Purrloin than at the girl in green.

Kaylie let out a disapointed sigh. She had mainly asked about the gyms for JC. Even though she was a little curious herself. But she really wanted to know about Latios because she wanted to catch one. She knew that there have been researchers that have shown there have been multiple Latios' though rare. "I see." Kaylie said, "Well thanks anyways." Nurse Joy gave her back her pokemon as she then headed over to where JC was now fitting the POKEcomm into his ear.

(Major Mario Thesmashbro and others. I've gotta get off... see you guys sunday if your on..)

(( See ya JC. ))

"You're welcome, miss," Seth said in response as he watched the girl leave.

He rarely made no extra efforts to be polite. The young man simply was, even though the small smiles from Alastor and people sort of encouraged him to go the extra mile at times. Lightly adjusting his hat, Seth turned to look out into the main area of the pokemon center. Yes, the gym question was something that was dying to be answered. Although Seth couldn't care less about proving himself to some random, big-wigged trainer, his pokemon did. Fighting was in their blood, Ken's especially.

With a small nod of encouragement, Seth moved forward to browse through a brochure rack near the entrance of the pokecenter.

'Why don't you let Lombardi fly about out there to check for gyms?' Cleopatria said, catching Seth's questioning look.

"Just what I was thinking, Cleo," he said in response. "Still, I'd like some information before I go into a battle."

(( How do I 'mention' people?))

(use the @ right before there name like this Major Mario. PS on longer than i thought.)

Kaylie walked up to JC as she handed him his pokeball. "Ok, enough stalling." Kaylie said, "Let's battle."

"Allright," JC said, "Though this would be the first time we've battle twice in the same day. I mean are these POKEcomms really good enough for you to get an edge over me?"

"Yes they are," Kaylie said, "I mean you lost to that Nex guy mainly because he had one and you didn't. Now let's go."

JC only shrugged. Once Kaylie made her mind up there wasn't much he could do to change it. So he got up and the two of them headed outside and found a good spot to start a battle.

"One on One this time," Kaylie said.

JC nodded his agreement as he threw out Blaze's POKEball.

"Blaze your up!" he called out.

(this time I have to go... see you sunday)

Nex walked up to Seth and said, "You know, someone probably put something about Latios on the bounty board; we could try to go after him." Nex always wanted to catch a legendary. Having a legendary allows you to be a rank four, but only if you are a rank three already. They also let you have a 7th spot in your team reserved for the legendary. Having a legendary also allows you to participate in events one rank above you if you only use that legendary. "So, are you up to it?"

Seth turned to look at the boy next to him. While he had seen plenty of trainers in his travels, this one seemed to be a cut above or below the rest. Overly-ambitious was the word, or overconfident? Perhaps not, perhaps so. The boy didn't seem too far from his age, either. He shrugged nonchalantly over the sudden interruption to his line of thought, somewhat insulted that the boy made no effort to introduce himself at first, but then again, it would seem problematic and awkward to walk up to someone and drop a name.

"Catching a legendary pokemon..." Seth mumbled.

Like all trainers, Seth was tempted to go out and do just that. However, he refused to be subject to the vice. Every legendary was legendary for a reason, and if they were caught, something would be thrown off balance somewhere. It wasn't the same as taking a normal or rare pokemon from a region.

"I don't believe in catching legendaries. It's not that it can't be done, it's just that only one person will gain while the rest of the world loses. Imagine catching Arceus itself and all the problems that would follow."

"From what I understand, you have to prove your worth to a legendary for them to be captured. If they were doing something important, then they wouldn't let you catch them. Besides, for all we know, the pokemon could have been noticed because it was rampaging." Nex said, "And maybe we will be able to stop an evil organization while we're at it." Nex really wanted to test his might against a legendary. He heard that Latios is extremely intelligent; a battle of wits would be fun.

"A rampaging legendary? What would make a legendary go on a rampage?" Seth asked as he turned his full attention to the teen.

'Maybe his counterpart was kidnapped or something,' Cleopatria mewed. 'Latias is the counterpart to Latios. They may be brother and sister for all we know. I'd go on a rampage myself if a littermate was taken away.'

"True, true," Seth mumbled towards his dark cat. He spoke to Nex. "Alright, you've convinced me. If you're talking about Latios, that must mean someone has caught sight of him. And if someone has seen a legendary, it usually means something is wrong." The bearded trainer outstretched his hand to the teen and said, "Seth Crewe. Your name?"

Nex reached out and shook Seth's hand. "Call me Nex." He said. "The bounty board is that way. Let's go." He walked towards the bounty board. As he went to it, he saw the rank 2 mission about Latios. "Here it is. Looks like he is attacking some laboratory. They put up a force field to protect the lab, but all of the scientists are trapped inside."
