Pokemon Seniti Region

Nex decided that he was going to end this battle. Sage lifted up Blaze with a psychic power, dissipating the clones [telekinesis]. After he was healed by wish, he made an L shape on his forehead as he stuck his tongue out [taunt]. For the finishing blow, he launched a powerful psychic force at Blaze [psychic].

Ken loosed a shrill whistle from his beak as he watched the Gardevoir lift up its opponent via telekinetic force. Someone had to be damn near exhausted to be manipulated by psychic energy, or at the very least weak-minded. There were many times that Ken had to fight a psychic type, and while he came out on top most of the time, he had to admit that fighting them was torture. Even flying types, ironically enough, were a bother. Their superior speed outclassed Ken's own, but thanks to the guidance offered by his trainer, a few well-placed flares and strikes surmounted any problems.

"Alright Cleo, you see that?" Seth asked as he gestured towards the fight. "You're lucky you're a dark type, else fighting psychic types would be a big bother."

'Psychics seem to get on everyone's nerves, don't they?' Cleopatria mused as she nonchalantly licked her paw. 'That, and ghosts.'

Seth noticed a small patch of green in the corner of his vision and turned his head to get a better look. One of the battler's companions was looking his way, but only for a moment. The way the girl dressed made her look like one of the pokemon rangers, although they had orangish-red garb. Perhaps a breeder was a better word. Was the girl a novice breeder? And was the boy in red an apprentice ranger? Probably not, but still, it was a thought. Shaking his head, Seth returned his attention back to the fight just in time to see the Combusken bombarded with strong psychic energies.

'Welp, bird-boy's down,' the Purrloin stated with a roll of her eyes. 'I wonder if this is the end of the battle, or if we've just arrived at the start...'

"I think it's the end of the battle," Seth replied. "That last string of attacks by the Gardevoir had a 'Go for broke' feeling to it. I'd say it was a good match; the two of them both gave their all."

(Technically that's three moves without me being able to respond but whatever, We'll just say its due to the PokeCOMM since you wanted Sage to win due to it.)

"Flamethrower!" JC called out. Blaze opened his and was about to launch the move but was a split second to late as he was hit with the psychic attack. Blaze struggled but in the end it was too much as he fainted. JC pulled out Blaze's pokeball and recalled him. He then looked at Nex then grinned. "Nice battle. Been awhile since I've lost."

On the sidelines, Kaylie was shocked. She couldn't believe JC lost. Those PokeCOMMs are something else. She thought. Once she got one for herself she'd be able to beat JC herself.

(I don't think that taunt would take a lot of time. And yeah, POKEcomm lets them use their moves faster and without warning their opponent. If your character had one, I wouldn't have been able to do that many moves.)

Nex kept Sage outside of his pokeball and walked up to JC. "Still, you were able to put up a good fight without a POKEcomm. I don't consider myself an expert, but it's still an accomplishment." He said. Sage looked to the crowd around them and noticed a blaziken. He was looking at him funny...

Torik looked through the rank 3 items such as max revives, full restores, and ultra balls. The items you can buy are limited to the rank that you have. Rank 1's, like Torik, could only buy items such as poke balls, potions, antidotes, and other simple items like that. Of course, that wasn't going to stop him. He put a few of the items into his bag and went back to the rank 1 items, as the pokemon battle was over and the employee would probably go back to running the store.

(I don't think you ever said what my 4 character's ranks are. Though I can probally guess. Kaylie rank 3, Jason Rank 3, AC Rank 3? and JC rank 2?)

"A POKEcomm?" JC thought puzzled.

"It's one of the best inventions made for Pokemon Trainers," Kaylie said as she was walking over to JC, "Though I doubt you'd be able to afford one." Kaylie knew he could but she was hoping it keep him from trying to get one. The last think she wanted was for JC to get his hands on one.

Nex quickly caught on to what Kaylie was trying to do, so he said nothing. Really, he didn't know how much it costs. It was given to him by the professor in his town when he started his pokemon journey.

Seth smiled at the small exchange between the two trainers. Even if one lost and one won, they had both had fun, and he was positive their pokemon thought the same way. To a human being, the battles the creatures went through seemed like torture, but to those resilient creatures, it was more or less like roughhousing. When they were spent, they fainted. It was a fine way to end just about any game, except for chess. After giving Cleopatria a quick scratch behind the ears, Seth turned around and eyed a small Pokemart nearby.

Before he could even put one foot in front of the other, he heard Ken whistle again. It sounded more like a Glameow-call...

'Hey, nice moves toots,' Ken said to the victorious Gardevoir. The Blaziken arrogantly shrugged and grinned. 'Real nice effort there. Lots of bob 'n weave; I like that in a girl.' As he cracked his knuckles, he continued with, 'Ever consider dancing with someone your size?'

"Ken, don't start anything," Seth warned as he narrowed his eyes.

But Ken ignored him. While both he and his trainer did not know who the Gardevoir was, the Purrloin on the young man's shoulder did. Sizing up a mark was one of the key points in stealing, and Cleopatria could tell that the psychic type was not as it seemed. The creature did not carry itself with renowned grace and elegance like the females, but rather some kind of suppressed swagger and character befitting a male. Snickering lightly, the dark cat simply waited.

Sage's eyes flashed pink for a moment, before he turned his body to face the blaziken with his arms crossed and a stern look in his eyes. He said nothing, making sure to make what was going to happen a surprise. Nex also caught on to what Sage was doing, but he remained quiet. Anyone who brought on Sage's fury deserved what was coming.

"You don't say," JC said as he was also catching on to what Kaylie was trying to do. Obviously she wanted to get one of these things so that she could beat him. However, he could probally get enough money to get one. So he turned to Nex. "Where could I fin one of them?" He asked him.

Kaylie was about to say something but an aproaching Blaziken caught her attention. She noticed it's mannerism and could tell that it was trying to flirt with Sage. Strange as it seem to her because she figured that pokemon could tell the gender of another pokemon And they weren't even in the same Egg group. But she watched him with an amused look as she wondered how Sage would react

Seth could feel a pokeball on his belt jolt against his side. No doubt about it, Alastor the Gallade had somehow noticed what was happening and was struggling to beat some sense into his partner. If there was ever a time where morals, manners, and common sense were absent, the Gallade would quickly burst from his ball and stabilize the situation. However, the fact that the pokemon did not escape from his ball yet was testament to a suppressed sense of schadenfreude. Whatever was going to happen to Ken, why, surely he deserved it. Still, the rumbles from the ball were enough to concern Seth, who felt every single one like a small punch to his midsection.

'Oh come on, baby, don't give me that look! I'm givin' you a compliment!' Ken entreated before he scratched his beak.

"Well, I got one from a professor. I don't know how much they cost. You could probably check the POKEcenter." Nex said. Sage sharpened his gaze and turned back towards Nex, JC, and Kaylie. He was trying his best not to blow up in the Blaziken's face; This was going to be worth it.

(edited my last posted)

"Allright," JC said, "Could you show me where it's at?" But that's when he also caught the sight of the Blaziken. He found that it was acting strangely to Sage. "Ummm... what's that Blaziken doing to Sage?"

Kaylie grinned to stifle a laugh.

Nex smiled a bit and said, "They're just conversing. The pokecenter is over that way" He turned and pointed to a giant white building with a red roof, which was the world's largest pokecenter. "It's the only one in the city. Since this city has the most people, they had to make it big."

'Man, what is it with females?' Ken muttered to himself as he watched the Gardevoir turn away. 'Everyone that I meet is too modest to accept a compliment these days. Seth, you know what I mean.' A brief, uncomfortable silence washed over the trainer and pokemon before Ken laughed. 'Oh yeah, that's right...'

"...Hey!" Seth exclaimed, his face taking a shade of crimson.

While many young men and male pokemon wanted to assert themselves to a female as someone worthwhile, Seth himself had never gotten into the game. Relationships were, to him, as compatible as syrup to a computer's data port. He was too concerned with the present to care about the future. All he wanted was adventure and a good book in the company of his friends. A girlfriend would only get in the way, or rather, Seth would get in her way. He really didn't want to trouble someone with himself. Ken eventually caught wind of his lack of a girlfriend and teased him about it, completely forgetting that he never once successfully wooed a female himself.

'What? Unlike you, I've made progress just now. You see that?' Ken gestured towards the Gardevoir and smiled. 'I bet she's blushing.'

'If this keeps up, I may have to drag him to the Pokecenter for some serious help...' Seth thought glumly to himself as his eyebrow arched.

"I'm a dude." Sage said as a powerful psychic force hit Ken [future sight]. Sage's voice was obviously masculine."Nex already pointed out the pokecenter." He said telepathically to Seth, which most psychic type pokemon can do.

(I auto-hitted because I assumed that you would be okay with it. Also, I couldn't think of any other way to type it.)

"What are you talking about? Of course I'm going to pay for these potions and poke balls." Torik said to Vanessa. Torik is very good at lying. It helped him get out of sticky situations more than once. "What, you think I'm going to go catch some pokemon without poke balls?"

"What rank are you? If you're higher than rank 1, why bother with rank 1 stuff?" Vanessa asked, just trying to make trouble; she didn't really care if Torik did steal from the Pokemart, she wasn't involved with it.

"Are you TRYING to blow our cover?!" Torik said just loud enough for the employee to hear. Hearing this, he walked towards them. "What is going on?" the employee asked.

Immediately Ken fell flat on his tail-feathers with an aghast look upon his mug. As he was busy flirting with the Gardevoir, he never took into consideration that it may have been a male. Seth took a step back upon hearing the telepathic voice in his head. He too was shocked, although not quite as much as his feathered friend on the ground. Much of the human population viewed Gardevoir as a strictly female final evolution while Gallade was its masculine counterpart. In reality, Gardevoir weren't always female, as males were encountered from time to time. The feminine appearance was always a tough one to see through.

Cleopatria the Purrloin burst out in laughter at seeing Ken on the ground.

'Bwhahahaha! Oh Arceus, I wish someone recorded that! Maybe next time you'll try looking closer, eh Ken?'

'Har har, laugh it up you little furball,' Ken muttered as he picked himself up. He dusted himself off and turned away from the Gardevoir with a tinge of disgust and shame. 'Well, this is awkward...'

Seth shook his head and shouted at the Gardevoir.

"Hey! Sorry about that, and thanks, both for the information and for this," Seth gestured to Ken. "Someone needed to pound some sense into him!"

'You're lucky you're my trainer,' Ken growled.

"Oh really..." The employee said, obviously not convinced. Torik recalled Bandit, who seemed to have something small in his beak. "It's too late! Our cover has been blown! You're going to get in trouble when we get back to base!" He said as he sent out his haunter, Ghost. "Get us out of here!" He said as Ghost used a psychic wave to cause the employe to fall asleep [hypnosis]. Ghost then grabbed both Torik and Vanessa and phased all of them through the wall into a back alley. "Good job Ghost." Torik said as he recalled Ghost and sent out Bandit again.

"Because you ratted me out, and now they think that you're with me." He said as Bandit gave him a USB port. "That is if that guy could remember what happened or if they have security footage," He showed her the USB port which was the memory for the security camera. "which they don't." He said as Bandit attacked it with amazing speed [aerial ace].

Sage smiled and walked back to the group. "That he did..." he said to himself as he was walking. Although that was satisfying, next time he was just going to make them fall asleep and give them nightmares. THAT would be satisfying.

"Thanks...," Vanessa said, "But I didn't ask for your help," she added with crossed arms. She began to look around. "Looks like the battle is over....," she said under her breath.
