Kaylie was in the process of taking out another pokeball when she noticed a Gardevoir and a guy headed their way. She had noticed them before but now they seemed to be heading their way. "Can I help you?" Kaylie asked but not really in a polite way. JC looked in the direction where Kaylie was looking and saw the duo coming towards them but he waited for them to start the conversation encase they were simply coming closer to watch his and Kaylie's battle.
 
"Don't mind us, my gardevoir convinced me to watch your battle." Nex said as he saw her get ready to send out a second pokemon. "You two are new here, aren't you." (short post. also, you don't have to notify me whenever you post)
 
(I was only notifing you because it said you were on and I wasn't sure if you would check. Anyways...)


"Just arrived today," JC said answering Nex's question. He then looked at Gardevoir, "Huh, don't see many male gardevoirs." JC said, "I have a female one but I left her back with my mom. It's been some time though." Kaylie looked at JC, "Hey are battles' not over yet," Kaylie said as she tossed out her pokeball. The pokeball sailed threw the air and opened. As it did a burst of light came out of it and formed the pokemon Rotom. Kaylie waited but JC seemed more interested in talking with Nex than their pokemon battle. Blaze was watching what his master was doing. He knew Kaylie was trying to continue the battle, so he waited for what JC was going to do next.
 
"Finally, someone who can tell the difference between a male and female gardevoir." Sage said, but only Nex could hear him. "By the way," Nex said to Kaylie, "it is best to scatter the water pulses a bit like part of the Olympics symbol so the pokemon don't go right through it. It also makes it harder for them to go around it." Nex turned back to JC. "It's rude to ignore a battle, you know."

Kaylie looked at Nex. "I know that," She said sounding a bit irritated.. JC looked back at Kaylie, "Oh, sorry i forgot we were doing two on two." JC saw Kaylie's second pokemon chose. "No problem, " Jc said more to himself than the others, "Blaze use Fire Blast!" Blaze obeyed by quickly launching a ball of fire at Rotom. Before Kaylie could even issue a command the ball hit Rotom and erupted in a five star pattern. When the fire cleared Rotom was laying there knocked out. "What the..." Kaylie let out as she recalled Rotom. JC only grinned at her then turned to talk with Nex. "Say you from this region?" He asked.
 
Nex watched the effect of the fire blast. "Say, would you like to have a one-on-one pokemon battle? I can show you some of the new stuff here." He said. (you used the worf effect twice)

JC gave Nex a nod. "Sure," he said then he walked over to Blaze and gave him a white looking feather(white Herb) Blaze then ate the white herb. Kaylie however, was silently fuming after having loss the second round so quickly. But she heard that this Nex guy wanted to battle JC so she decided that she'll watch.

"Okay. I'll let you do the first move." Nex said confidently. He knew that he had three advantages: type, evolution, and POKEcomm.
 
(Seems like I've missed a whole lot.)


Dane growled as he had been chasing this Seedot all over the area while Matt had his epic battles and all this was going on.


"Fine! Come on out Charmander!"


He threw the PokeBall as Charmander came out sitting down, picking his toes completely uninterested at being called. He just yawned a meh as Dane couldn't help but gasp with exasperation.


"Come on Charmander, don't you wanna have a battle... Please."


He pleaded as he put his hands together and got on his knees and begged.


"PLEASE....."


Charmander just turned his head and scoffed, suddenly the Seedot who was still running around zoomed past Charmander making his flame flicker.


Whatever...


Charmander thought to Dane through the PokeComm and let loose a huge Flamethrower towards Seedot.

JC accepted the invitation to go first with a nodd. He then looked to Blaze. "Blaze, Flamethrower." Blaze obeyed by opening his mouth and releasing a stream of fire from his mouth straight at Gardevour.


Kaylie was still at the sidelines as she was watching the battle. She knew that Nex's Gardivour had a type and evolution advantage but she's seen JC's Blaze win battles with much higher odds. After all her Swampert had those same advantages plus Swampert had a double type advantage.

Sage put both of his arms forward and created a psychic barrier [light screen] that blocked most of the attack. He then crossed his arms and stuck his tongue out [taunt]. Immediately after doing that, he lunged one hand forward and shot a sinister beam of light at Blaze [signal beam]. During all of this, Nex stood silently with his arms crossed.
 
"Protect!" JC called out. Blaze then got into a defensive position as a green barrier formed infront of him protecting him from the psybeam. JC was curious as to how Nex was able to have Guardivour attack without any verble commands. He had a few opinions but he wasn't sure exactly. After the psybeam ended Blaze's protect faded. "Double Team!" JC called out better to leave his attacks short and to the point to help counter Nex's unspoken commands. Blaze obeyed JC's command as he made two copies of himself.


Kaylie watched the battle with renewed intrest. It seemed that Nex could command Guardivoir without speaking. This of course was nothing new to her as she's seen others do the same. She also knew that JC has seen things like this before so she wasn't so shaken in her confidence that JC would still win. But as she wondered how he was doing it she glanced down at Nex's wrist. Ofcourse, Kaylie said as she grinned, A pokeCOMM. She knew all about the pokeCOMM. In fact the very reason she had come to this region was so she could obtain one.


(I took an assumption that the pokeCOM was a device that was straped to the wrist like a watch. If I'm mistaken then just say Kaylie saw where he was holding it.)
 
(the POKEcomm is a device put in the ear, like a communicator. It is there so it can receive commands from the brain, and is connected to the pokemon with the trainer's ID.)


Sage crossed one arm to the side of his body as electricity formed in his hand. He then backhanded the space in front of him and shot electricity at Blaze [shock wave]. He knew that the move cannot miss, even with a move such as double team.
 
(Allright then say she saw it in his ear... if that's ok.)


JC expected that as he gave out his next command. "Endure!" Blaze braced hiself as the attack hit him. JC knew he could withstand it but better safe than sorry. "Now Sword Dance!" Blaze began to move his arms in a sword dance movement. This caused Blaze's attack power to increase.
 
(I used taunt, remember? ...wait, that also meant that he couldn't have used double team. Sorry, I should have pointed it out then.)


Sage closed his eyes and concentrated for a few seconds. He then opened his eyes and his hand stated to glow. He then launched a strong telekinetic force [psychic] at Blaze.


"2" Nex said.
 
(oh right.... my mystake. Though sadly, I know that mostly you'll under do Blaze's attack power and spAtk power.)


"Quick Attack!" JC called out. Blaze obeyed as his speed increased as he used this to avoid Gardivour's attack. "Now Shadow Claw!" Even though Blaze was moving without the assist of quick attack he was moving faster than he had been before using it. Ghostly energy eveloped his hand as he ran at Gardevour. As he approached he racked at Gaurdevour in a slicing move.


Kaylie was still watching the fight between JC and Nex. She then noticed Blaze's speed change. ofcourse, Kaylie new what was going on. Blaze's speed boost ability was kicking in. It had been for since the match she had with him. Normally after a match Blaze's speed would start dropping back down to normal or if he were recalled it'd drop immediately back to normal. But since JC accepted the match right after his match with Kaylie thus Blaze's speed boost hasn't kicked off yet.
 
Sage got hit by the attack and flew back. He quickly recovered before hitting a wall. After he was back on his feet, he put two fingers on his forehead and increased his speed to match Blaze [psych up]. He then shot multiple stars at Blaze [swift] and calmed himself to be able to think clearly [calm mind]

"Dig!" JC called out to Blaze. Blaze obeyed by burrowing very fact into the ground. The Swift missed him.


Kaylie continued to watch the battle. Perhaps JC might of finally met his match with this Nex guy.


(FYI while true in Gen 1 swift could hit an underground opponent. but in gen 2 and on it couldn't. same with fly and I the other two turn hit moves. (Like dive, and bounce I believe)
 
Blaze using dig caused Sage to panic a bit, but Nex quickly calmed him down [calm mind... again] and then he got an idea. Sage imitated Blaze and dug down into the ground [Mimic].


"0..." Nex said as a powerful wave of phychic energy hit where Blaze would have been if he hadn't dug down [future sight].
 
(Technically,Gaurdevour would of done something to do the move. Like a movement of the arms or even a twinkle in it's eye. or even a strange haze around Gaurdevour or where the attack would land. but mainly during when gaurdevour is preping/launching it)


JC noticed Gaurdivour's paniced expression before he used dig. I threw him off his game, JC thought, good. "Blaze come out and use Bounce." JC called out. Blaze came back out from underground didn't bother looking around or attacking blindly at a unseen Gaurdevour as he had heard him use dig. Just then Blaze Jumped up high into the air.


Kaylie gave a grin. just like JC. Even when you think you've got him, Kaylie thought, beat he find away around. Though this Nex guy does seem to know his stuff. That future sight trick was great if Blaze wouldn't of dug at the last second. That pokeCOM is indeed a very good device.
 
(I said that he concentrated for a few seconds, but noted.)


Sage came out of the ground and saw Blaze up in the air. He blocked the attack as it came down to him [protect]. He then unleashed all of the power he had stored and attack him with a powerful psychic blast at close range [stored power].


(considering that he increased his speed, Sp.Attack, and Sp.Defense twice each, it should be really powerful.)
 
"Protect!" JC called without hesitation. Blaze barely made the barrier before Gaurevour's attack struck. The protect worked as Blaze didn't get hit. "Now Shadow Claw"


(Taunght only last 3 to 5 turns and if you base that on how many posts we've done apeice, it would of warn off. Plus taught as an accuracy thus it doesn't nessisary hit all the time. So when Blaze used protect the first time to counter the swift it would of blocked the taught too... but since I didn't say it did it'll have to slide. and 2) Shadow claw has a high crital hit ratio... just saying.)
 
(Wait. In the second that Sage shot his finisher, counting the amount of time an order gets to the pokemon and the amount of time the pokemon computes which move to do, your pokemon had enough time to block it?)


Before Blaze could use shadow claw, Sage slapped mud at Blaze's face [mud slap]. His hand glowed as he quickly put it over his heart. After doing that, he shot weak electricity to paralyze Blaze as he ran away [thunder wave]
 
(i did say barely... plus you have to remember that Speed boost is still in effect thus he's getting faster and faster.... Also that's God modding you did in your post. you didn't let me say how Blaze reacts to the mudslap plus you said that Blaze ran after.)
