"Dodge it Geodude," Brock said as it used it's quicker speed to dodge the leaf blade just in the nick of time, "Now keep up that Roll out attack!" The Geodude obliged as it again continued to spin but faster as it went to strike Manny again with the move.

Seeing as Manny is too close to be able to dodge it in time all he could do was try to defend against it. "Use your arms to cover your face and brace for impact, then use Leaf Blade when you have an opening!" !" Manny quickly covered his face using his arms, which were still blade-like as the effect of his attack didn't wear off yet. Manny was pushed back as he fought against the force of the faster rollout. While Manny did gain damage, not only was it reduced by him blocking, but it also wasn't effective on him.

After recovering, Manny spent no time going straight into his next attack, and saying he was right beside Geodude rather than a bit behind him, Manny was much quicker to try and strike with another leaf blade.

This one hits home as the geodude takes 4times the damage. But it was still hanging in there, "Keep it up Geodude," Brock said as now it went for the 3 times as fast roll out attack onto Manny.

With neither Luna or Manny having enough time to react to Geodude's crazy speed Manny was hit straight on and flew back a bit. Manny took a moment to get up but quickly shook off the attack having a little over half of his health left. "Manny! Quickly pull away and use ingrain to heal up while focusing on dodging!"

With Geodude only getting faster, it would be trouble to stay too close to him. Manny quickly ran off to the other side of the arena before allowing for roots to come out from the bottom of his feet attaching him to the ground while also regaining a bit of his health over time. While Manny was attached to the ground he could still move around a bit, but not too far from his current position. Manny watched Geodude carefully getting ready to shift over should the rock pokemon make his way over to Manny.

"Interesting," Brock mused seeing the Luna's strategy play out, "Now, Geodude, your opponent's in one place!"

Geodude acknowldged as it's roll out attack increased to it's 4th speed rotation as it again made it's way towards Manny tethered to the ground by it's roots. It wouldn't be easy for it to dodge this attack.

"Move to the right so that he can"t hit you head on then strike with Leaf Blade!" Manny allowed for his roots to grow a bit longer so he could move a bit to the right. He wasn't able to move out as far and was still grazed by the attack losing a small chunk of health. Manny quickly prepped for a Leaf Blade before moving back to his original position and turning to strike the Geodude from behind.

Manny was obviously getting a bit tired and while he was still gaining health and energy from ingrain, it wasn't nearly replenishing enough health to make up for what he's losing should he get hit head-on with the final rollout attack, he'd be at dangerously low health.

Geodude managed to roll past enough to avoid a bulk of the leaf blade attack. So it was still good to work the final roll out attack.

"Hmm.. protecting the head huh," Brock mused as he noticed the command, then to Geodude, "Geodude, take to the air!"

The Geodude responded by ramping up it's speed to the 5th and final stage of it's rolling out attack, before going up to one of the rocks in the battle field before rolling it up and using it as a ramp to propell itself into the air aiming right for Manny's head.

Seeing the Geodude was now in the air doing its final rollout there was nothing manny could really do but try and dodge it. "It's up in the air so try and duck under it!" Manny quickly responded by dropping down to the ground and using its arms to try and protect what's left of its head. The two soon made contact as the attack still hit Manny fairly hard but not as direct as it could've been. While at fairly low health, but still gaining more energy from ingrain, Manny managed to hang on.

"Use growth then follow it with leaf blade!" Luna called out. Manny began growing in size once again before moving towards the Geodude slightly so it'll be in range before striking it with a more powered up Leaf Blade.

Geodude had finished it's roll out just as Manny came in with the strike.

"Defense Curl!" Brock called out and the Geodude did it's best to withstand the attack. But with the damage it already took it was just too much as it fainted.

Brock recalled Geodude, "Good job, you deserve a nice rest," Brock said to the geodude inside the pokeball before clipping it to his belt. Then he glanced back to Luna, "Not bad so far, Now, let's see how you handle this next one." He pulled out his final Pokeball before giving it a toss, "Go, Onix!"

The huge rock snake Pokemon appeared in the middle of the field.

"Now, wrap!" Brock called out as the large Pokemon went over and wrapped itself around it's opponent giving it a squeeze.

Both Manny and Luna gave a bit of a shocked gasp/squeal at the gigantic pokémon. With Manny being attached to the ground there was really no dodging Onix's first attack. And considering Manny was already at a significant low health he fainted right after the first attack.

"Gosh, you were amazing out there. I'll definetly get you some good to eat tonight." She said with a small sigh before pulling his pokéball out her bag and calling him back, saying Manny never really uses his pokéball Luna doesn't keep it attached to her belt.

"Alright! Let's keep going, you're up Chestnut!" She grabbed onto Chestnuts Pokéball and called him out in front of her. Right now, Onix's wrap would be the biggest problem. But saying Chestnut had more of a ranged grass attack she'd hope to rely on space much more than before.

"You'll be great Chestnut, now try to keep your space from it and attack with vine whip!" With Chestnut being overall faster than Manny he'd have a better time staying away as he stepped back a bit before unleashing two long vines that began whipping and swinging them around the onix.

"Onix, grab the vine whips and use them to pull it in close!" Brock called out to his Pokemon. The giant rock snake obeyed as it snagged one of Chestnut's vinewhipes and gave it a sharp pull to pull the quiled Pokemon closer, "Now bind it!" Brock said as The Onix attempted to bind the smaller Pokemon after pulling it in.

Chestnut was easily pulled forward as one of its vines got snagged. "Don't let your trapped vine keep you still, try and dodge its bine!" The Chespin quickly responded by hopping onto the huge snake's body and running out the area where the bind was happening.

"Try to keep him from snagging your other vine by tangling it with the vine he has!" She quickly called out as the Chespin began running around the onix in a circle. Jumping over or ducking under its huge body should it be in the way of his path.

The trapped vine would then begin to wrap around the upper part of the onix's body before chestnut allowed of his freevine to try and slap/whip his facial area to not only trying and deal damage but to also make it let go of the vine.

"Onix, take if for a ride underground!" Brock commanded as the huge rock snake kept ahold of the grip before diving into the ground as it began to burrow it's way underground.

"Stay close to it and don't get lost underneath the ground!" Luna advised as Chestnut held tightly to the Onix's back using its vines to keep itself attached to it as they went underneath the ground.

The ride underground was pretty harsh on Chesnut as Onix burrowed around this way and that and flakes of earth hit it's passenger with not much remorse. Finally, it surfaced as it swings and slams Chesnut to the ground.

"Now, Bind it!" Brock said as the Pokemon again attempted to bind the smaller pokemon with it's large snake-like body.

Chestnut hit the ground fairly exhausted but managed to get up sure enough. With the pokemon going after bind once again Chestnut wasn't really in a good place to be able to dodge. Luna shook her head and quickly called her next command out. "Jump up and use rollout to get away from it!" Chestnut did as told and hopped up high enough to be able to use rollout above its body before speeding away to the other side of the arena.

As rollout is rather useless, at least the first few rolls, against Onix it would have to be used as a means to stay away from the Onix till the attack ends. "Don't attack Onix with the remaining rollouts, Chestnut, rather use the speed of the attack to stay away!" She called out as the Chespin nodded understanding what to do.

"Pretty good strategy there," Brock said to Luna, "But let's see how good it is at dodging while using Rollout. Onix, Rock Throw!"

The Onix listened to it's trainer's call as a rock materialized in front of it as it tossed the rock straight at the rolling Chesnut, "Keep it up!" Brock ordered as the rock serpent materialized more rocks and tossed them in the direction of the quiled Pokemon.

Luna quickly glanced up at the incoming rocks before pointing to one of the arena's boulders. "Use rollout and get behind one of those rocks so it can't see you!" Chestnut followed accordingly as it began rolling off in the direction of one of the arena's rocks. It slightly ran into the rock to give have more of an accurate stop rather than zooming right past the rock. Chestnut hid behind the rock watching as the rocks began falling around the area he was just at.

"Hide and seek huh?" Brock said with amusement, "Two can play at that game. Onix, use Dig!"

The huge rock snack let's out a roar as it jumps up and dives underneath the ground.

Silas was about to kneel down to study a wandering Caterpie when the scream both startled him into jumping and frightening the Pokemon, making it flee into the tall grass. Fennekin slid off his shoulders and landed on the ground gracefully, rearing up defensively. The researcher looked back up at his companion, visibly shaken. "How could anyone miss it? It practically scared all the Pokemon around here." He rose to his feet, dusting off his pants before turning towards where he believed the sound possibly could have come from. But the forest was dimly lit, many of the trees and paths looking the same. He could barely make heads or tails of where they were already, he couldn't imagine trying to find someone in the mess of trees.

"I'd hope it was just someone who was afraid of Bug-Types being pestered by them..." He mumbled, worried to think about the worst simply because he wasn't sure he was capable of handling the worst and did not want to leave it all on his companion's shoulders. "Should we look into it?" He asked, though his Pokemon seemed keen to make the decision for him. With an enthused chirp, the fire-type Pokemon went rushing on ahead, Silas managing to catch sight of the Fennekin just before it disappeared behind a set of trees.

"Joker- Wait!"​

The researcher's eyes widening in alarm, he didn't hesitate to grab Issac's wrist and tug at it. "He's probably going to see what happened himself - we have to go after him, he isn't used to battling on his own if he gets into trouble!"

Luna couldn't help but crack a grin at Brock's amusement. "Alright Chestnut! Use your third Rollout and get on top of one of those rocks!" Chestnut gave a little call followed by a salute before beginning to use rollout making its way to one of the further rocks before rolling up the rock using its speed and stopping at the top.

"Keep an eye out for where Onix might pop out at! And use rollout to get away when it gets too close!" She called out as both she and Chestnut watched the ground carefully listening to the sound of its movements.

Brock was watching intently on what was happening. Then, the Pokemon known as Chesnut would feel rumbling under it's feet before suddenly Onix burst through the rock he was standing on, striking at the Pokemon as it did.

Chestnut felt the rumbling beneath him and braced for impact on instinct before being thrown off the rock after being hit from Onix. He managed to recover before hitting the ground and landing swiftly onto his feet, but not without being much more exhausted than he was before. Due to his lower health and for his ability Overgrow, which would make his grass moves have a much more of a powerful kick.

Following Luna's orders from before, Chestnut used his 4th rollout to quickly make the distance between him and the Onix as wide as it can be having chestnut being on the very edge of the arena.

"Onix, keep it on it's toes with Rock Throw," Brock said as his Pokemon materialized another rock and flung it at the chestnut Pokemon.
