Fandom Pokemon Adventures: An Unexpected Beginning

Hiroshi Shota & Chimchar

Hiroshi made his decision. He had no doubt about it. "I choose this Chimchar then." He was sure that Chimchar would be the perfect match for him, so he looked at the professor, waiting for him to agree so that his decision would become official. He was going to take Chimchar along with him through the region, fighting battles with it and making him open up more and feel less lonely.

The Professor

"Alright." Turning around his assistant had finally returned with multiple trays full of Pokéballs. Searching for the right tray he picked out the Pokéball that corresponded to Chimchar and handed it to Hiroshi. "Now that you have your first friend, feel free to get to know him a little more, by the time everyone's acquainted we'll have lunch ready and then you guys can begin your adventure officially!"

Z and Snivy

Z smiled, the first one was a success.


She carefully put both hands under Snivy's soft body and picked him up quickly. Snivy shut his eyes tight, it felt like he was in danger. A tear went out his eye. But he opened them to see the girl smiling at him, so he softly smiled back. He felt he was slipping off her hands, so he shut his eyes tight again.


"Aw, what's wrong? Ohhhhh, you're frightened... don't worry I'll keep you safe." She said softly as she scratched him and walked to the professor. She looked at the adult and said, "I'll take this one with me. I love him."


Snivy opened his eyes again after he heard his safety was fine.

The Professor

Hearing what the girl had said he nodded and gave her the corresponding Pokéball for Snivy. "Alright, stick around for lunch, until then you and Snivy should get to know each other a little more." The professor smiled and took the tray of Pokéballs from his assistant as she rushed to the kitchen to begin cooking.

Braelyn

Watched the other pokemon step away from the small water type, and for a second she worried that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to get this close. However, the Oshawatt seemed to have different ideas as it threw its scalchop into the air before placing it back in its spot. Was this pokemon showing off?


Braelyn giggled softly and gave the small pokemon a wide smile as she took its little paw in her much larger hand. Giving it a little shake she turned her head to look for the professor. "Professor? I think I want this one." She called softly towards the professor who was helping the others.


So far, this Oshawatt seemed rather mild. It wasn't exactly shy, but it wasn't wild like the others running around. Braelyn believed that made this water type perfect for her. It would make a good partner for such a quiet girl like herself.

Eddie blinked, finger twitching slightly from the bite. He then began to snicker before laughing loudly. "Aw! You're a cute little guy, aren't ya!" He said with a grin, petting the top of turtwig's head with his free hand. Getting back up, he turned to the professor, the turtwig dangling on his finger. "Can I have turtwig?!" Eddie asked, hoping he said yes. He could already tell him and the turtwig were gonna be great friends!

Z CARDIGAN

Zoey sat on the floor where she was and gently set Snivy down and pet it like before.


"I'll take care of you forever, how does this feel?" She stroked Snivy with her index and middle finger.


Snivy nodded and his tail wagged a little. Z laid down on her side and Snivy followed what she did. He smiled a little before she pushed him closer to her from behind.


Zoey kissed Snivy on the forehead. "I love you, snakes are my favorite. So cute..." She said almost falling asleep. Snivy closed his eyes as well, still being partially held by Z.


'Awwwww, so cute. Wait, when's lunch? What time is it?' she asked herself mentally but then chose not to care. Snivy was the world to her now.

Kai Takeshi

Kai looked at Charmander as he chased him he was determined on catching charmander as he jumped and caught him. "Got you little guy!" Kai said looking into Charmander's eyes then closed his before charmander can spit more flames at him. He was prepared for having a partner like this as they could become great friends. When Kai looked at Charmander he gave that feeling of being his friend the minute he looked into his eyes. "Professor Charmander will be fine with me!" He said still laying holding Charmander. "He's different from the others for sure." He said laughing a bit.

Putting Charmander on his neck and he held his feet so he wouldn't fall. "Kai Takeshi!" He said looking at the professor.

Putting the turtwig in top of his head, he quickly gained a center of balance and gave the professor a grin. "Eddie Simmons!"

Z looked at the professor, still holding Snivy in her arm laying down.


"Zoey Cardigan, sir. Or just Z for short, my friends call me that anyway."


She put one finger under Snivy's chin and scratched. Snivy made cute silent noises.

Kai & Charmander

Kai notice his hair burning as he ran to the nearest fountain and stuffed his head in it, his hair wasn't completely damaged but still he was slightly mad. He then laughed from understanding that's just the way Charmander is and he was willing to deal with it. Charmander laughed and ran around the lab some more.

Hiroshi was sitting down on the ground with his feet joined together and his knees facing opposite directions, his Chimchar placed on his lap. "My name is Hiroshi Shota."

Braelyn Keene

Braelyn smiled widely, which was a rare sight, when the Professor said that she could have the Oshawatt. She turned back to the Oshawatt and picked her up gently. Braelyn raised the small water-type so that she was at eye-level. "Would you mind if I gave you a name?" I asked the Oshawatt quietly. In return I got a shake of the head and a calm smile. "I think you look like a Kristina to me." I murmured to which the Oshawatt nodded.


I looked back at the Professor, holding the newly named Kristina gently against my chest. "My name is Braelyn Keene." I answered quietly.

Hiroshi thought that this was the perfect opportunity to speak to Kai, since he heard that his goal was to become the Pokemon champion too, and since he had a fire type Pokemon, he could try to make his Chimchar communicate with it. He stood up and picked Chimchar up, which startled the latter a bit. He headed towards Kai and witnessed his hair burning and him extinguishing it with a fountain. Chimchar looked at Hiroshi with a worried expression, and he scratched his head, "Maybe this is a bad idea..."





Nevertheless, he walked up to the other trainer and placed his Chimchar down on the ground. The Pokemon stared at Charmander running around the lab, wondering where he got all that energy from. Hiroshi attempted to start a conversation with Kai while constantly shifting his eyes towards Chimchar's direction to make sure he was doing fine, "I heard you want to become the champion."

The Professor

"I see... my name is Jackson so no need for the formalities." Chuckling he walked into another room and yelled to the trainers, "While you get to know your new friends I'll be in here making everyone lunch!"

Vivian Sein

Burting through the door was the most extravagant girl. "Heya professor Jack!" As she came in all the other Pokémon who weren't preoccupied with the other trainers came running up to her in excitement almost piling onto her. While giggling she tried to push them off. "Come on guys, I know it's been a while but you can't always pile on me like this!" After struggling for a few moments she looked around at the other trainers and smiled. "Hey! I'm Vivian Sein, how's it going?"

Charmander began talking to Chimchar in a gentle way as it was tired from running around for so long. Kai looked at Vivian mid conversation with Hiroshi as he blushed. "Yo." Kai said trying to keep his cool.

Z and Snivy

Z waved at the new girl.


"Hi there Vivian, I'm Z. Wow, the pokemon love you here."


Even Snivy couldn't resist to get up and walk to her to hug her right leg. He held on for a while then waked back to his trainer. He laid down again.


"Hey professor, when's lunch!?" She shouted at the door the professor went into.

"Yeah, and I guess you're my rival." Hiroshi replied to Kai's questions. Chimchar was taken aback by surprise; he didn't expect Charmander to talk to him so gently after going wild like that. First impressions could be wrong, he guessed. Soon another person came in and was surrounded by the rest of the Pokemon that weren't with the trainers. He noticed that Kai was blushing, and grinned. "Love at first sight, huh? Though I guess I can't blame you, all of those Pokemon seem to love her as well."


"Hey." He greeted the newly arrived person with a wave, and crouched down near Chimchar, gently whispering to him, "Come on, say hello to her. It's been a while since you last saw her, right?" Chimchar seemed to understand, as he turned to look at Vivian. He thought that since all the others were piling up onto her, he shouldn't get close to her, but nevertheless he slowly raised up his right hand and waved towards her following Hiroshi's example. The trainer smiled and petted the Pokemon's head, which made his face look a little more bright.

"Yes!" Grabbing the turtwig from his head, he gave it a smile. "Now then, what's your name?!" The turtwig blinked at the trainer, not really sure if he could answer, half because he wasn't exactly sure, and half because he wasn't capable of human speech. "Hm...no name, huh?" Eddie cupped his chin and looked at the turtwig up and down before coming to a conclusion with a grin. "How about...Sheldon!" Eddie laughed, poking the turtwig's shell again, causing Sheldon to glare at Eddie before clamping his finger again. "Sheldon it is!"


Eddie looked around the room, eyes widening as the new girl appeared. "Hiya!" Sheldon looked on at the sight of all the pokemon crowding around Vivian before rolling his eyes.

"Well if it isn't Vivian! Welcome. How've you been?" Vivian giggled, "I've been fine. Oh, speaking of which..." Taking out a Pokéball she tossed it in the air and a Zoroark came out. "Zoroark, say hello to everybody! It's been forever since we've been here." Zoroark nodded and layed down with the other Pokémon admiring the old faces. The professor then heard Zoey speak of lunch. "It'll be done here in a few minutes!"

Kai looked at Hiroshi as he stated they where rivals. "I guess so. It's quite depressing we both chose fire starters then, but that's fine. He said smirking. First love isn't the right word to explain it." Kai said looking back at Vivan blushing again. Charmander went to Kai hungry and tired. Kai picked him up and held him so he could rest. Kai looked at everyone and especially Vivan, his stomach growled a bit. "I guess I'm hungry too!" He said laughing a bit but then he got serious." One we start I'm going to look for a flying type right at the start!" Kai said telling them his game plan. (In pokemon games I always look for a flying pokemon it would be nice if I could get starly or twailow or however you spell it!)

"So, you guys are just starting your adventure right? Well I can't wait to see what you've got." Vivian giggled and pet Zoroark, "Zoroark and I have been on our journey for quite a while, but don't worry I'm not much older than you guys." Vivian smiled, "So, what are everyone's dreams? Mine is to see everyone happy with the choices they make."

"Mine is to become pokemon master, Elite four champion." Kai said looking cool in front of Vivan. "You'll see me soon enough all over the region." What he said for some reason got Charmander fired up again as his tail lit a bright flame. "I guess he agrees with me. Trust me you'll be the strongest charizard out there!" Kai said to Charmander as Charmander's eyes lit up bright and same for his tail.

Braelyn nodded silently as the Professor introduced himself and insisted they called him Jackson. That may get some taking used to, but she would try to uphold his wishes.




A red-haired trainer stepped inside the lab just as the Professor stepped into what Braelyn assumed to be a kitchen. This new trainer appeared to be well-liked at the lab seeing as many of the pokemon piled on her. Even Kristina glanced back at Braelyn, almost asking to he put down to say hello. The purplette complied with her new pokemon, setting the water-type gently on the ground. Braelyn watched as Kristina waddled over to the ginger before piling on with the rest.


The new trainer introduced herself as Vivian and Braelyn gave a silent, but welcoming smile. Braelyn wondered why this older trainer was here. What reason did she have to come? Based upon the Zoroark she just sent out, Vivian didn't need a starter. Maybe she was just visiting old friends.


As Braelyn continued thinking up reasons for Vivian to be here, Vivian just happened to ask everyone a question. What was everyone's dream? Kai stated that he wanted to be a pokemon master, and while Braelyn didn't have such strong ambitions she still knew what she wanted for herself. "I want to be a pokemon coordinator." She replied, glancing around at the others.

From the kitchen the professor could be heard. "Zoroark! Those aren't done yet!" Vivian giggled at Zoroark and Eddie then heard what the girl had said. "A Pokémon coordinator huh? I actually have a friend from Sylvian City who's a well known coordinator. Ever heard the name Serran Jay?"
