Fandom Pokemon Adventures: An Unexpected Beginning

Braelyn gave Lloyd a small smile as he left the gym. That cocky kid was pretty alright when he wasn't in competition. Thankfully, Sarah was a great friend at all times.

The purplette followed silently behind Sarah and Kai, holding Kristina loosely in her arms. For some reason, it was comforting to hold her Oshawott like this. Maybe because it reminded her once more that everything that had happened was real. She had received her Oshawott from the lab, she had caught a Pichu, and she had won her very first contest. Yes, everything seemed like a dream, but it was all real.

Once they reached the train station, Braelyn glanced at the sign to see their train would be coming in about ten minutes. That wasn't too long of a wait, so she sat down on a nearby bench, setting Kristina next to her so that the water type Pokemon could have a little bit of her own freedom to walk around a bit. However, being the mild Pokemon she was, Kristina simply stayed sitting next to Braelyn, only glancing around every once in a while to study the various people.​

Sarah

She smiled and watched the cute oshowatt do her thing as she looked over to Kai and Charmander. She noticed one thing about Charmander that nobody knew. "That's the bully from the professor isn't it?" She said looking up at Kai.

Kai Takeshi

"Who my Charmander? Yeah I got him from the professor how'd you know? Kai looked at Sarah confused.

Sarah

She picked Charmander off Kai's shoulder as she scratch his chin. She showed Kai the bottom of Charmanders tail. There was a yellow star on it. "I put that there because I promised to raise him when I had the time to settle down, but you're doing it for me and he seems to like you way more then he did me." Sarah looked at Charmander down to let him run around.

Kai Takeshi

He noticed the Star as he nodded while listening to Sarah's story. "I'm glad he taken a liking of me, when I first saw him I thought he was going to be the hardest Pokemon I would train." Kai said rubbing the back of his head.

Charmander


Charmander climbed up Braelyn leg getting on her lap to crawl up on her shoulder as he smiled and hang there.

She had been occupying herself with one girl when she felt something crawling up her leg. Immediately she deducted that it was too big to be a bug, so at least she didn't fling it off. Yes, she was very grateful she didn't kick it off because that "it" was Charmander.

She scratched the little fire lizard's head, smiling softly at it. She wondered why Charmander seemed to like her so much. With the way he acted back at the lab, it seemed he only liked Kai, and even then he hadn't seemed to like him very much. Yet, here she was, the Charmander hanging on her shoulder for the second time in one day.​

The purplette followed her two friends into the train, making sure to stick close so that she didn't get left behind again. That wouldn't be fun, especially since now she wouldn't know anybody and she certainly wasn't the type of person to walk up to a random stranger and start talking.​

Braelyn laughed as Kristina shot a glare towards Charmander who was now running off to Kai once more. A soft growl came from the water type as Braelyn picked up her Pokemon and made her way over to where Kai and Sarah were. The train was here now, and they would be boarding any moment.

The purplette followed her two friends into the train, making sure to stick close so that she didn't get left behind again. That wouldn't be fun, especially since now she wouldn't know anybody and she certainly wasn't the type of person to walk up to a random stranger and start talking.​

Kai laid charmander on his lap as he sat against the chair across from Sarah as he yawned and looked out the window. "Soon the next city is so close I can taste it." Kai said smiling looking out the window.

Sarah

Looking over at Kai she smiled and looked out the window as she got comfy in her chair. "Maybe you should order something on the train while we ride there." She said smiling.

"Good idea." Kai said as his stomached growled at him a bit.

Looking over at Kai she smiled and looked out the window as she got comfy in her chair. "Maybe you should order something on the train while we ride there." She said smiling.

Braelyn sat in the chair next to Kai and set Kristina on her lap. The Oshawott lay down and closed her eyes. She was probably tired from the contest and all the other excitement today, so Braelyn let her stay how she was.

Braelyn decided to try and sleep herself since she hadn't had that much last night. She finally found a comfortable position leaning against the arm rest of her chair and closed her eyes. She probably wouldn't actually go to sleep, but it felt good to just close her eyes. This mixed with the fact that her anxiety over the contest was gone did allow her to fall into a light sleep. Something she would consider a power nap.​

"The next city we head to Is going to be a water type gym what are you going to use against it?" She asked the boy sitting back to get comfortable. As she watched braelyn and Kristina.

He sat back sighing as he looked out the window. "I don't know but I'll have to think of something fast."

Braelyn didn't sleep too long because she couldn't get comfortable. She heard Kai and Sarah talking about the next gym. It was a water type gym? Well, Kai's Charmander was definitely at a disadvantage.

"You can train with me and Kristina to maybe find some ways to beat water types." She suggested, looking down at the water type who just happened to be having more luck than Braelyn when it came to sleep.

"I wonder how tough the gym leader is as well." He said smirking out the window. Charmander watched Braelyn sleep with a dull face as he looked back up at Kai and had determination in his eyes.

"It seems like you have a practice partner too!" She said giggling. "If you guys want you can come to meet my family. I haven't seen them in months haha." She said scratching the back of her hair.​

She nodded at Kai before resting her head on her hand. She would sleep well tonight, that was for sure. "Whenever you want to, we can train I guess. It would be nice to try some new move combinations." She murmured, glancing over at Sarah.


Her newest friend mentioned that they could meet her family, and Braelyn couldn't help but hide her surprise. "Honestly, I wouldn't want to intrude. Especially since you haven't seen them for so long." She admitted softly as she frowned a bit. She would go if Kai wanted to go, but this was a choice she would not make for the team.

Braelyn smiled a little at Sarah's response. The purplette had a feeling that her friend wasn't going to stop insisting on them coming. Well, it couldn't hurt if they only went for a couple of minutes. Sarah of course would stay longer, since it was her family.

That plan was shot down as soon as Sarah asked if she could travel with them. Now, of course she liked Sarah, but that was one request she hadn't been expecting. Kristina looked towards the window, but she was too short too see over Charmander. The Oshawott hopped over onto Kai's lap and pushed herself up so that she could see out the window too.​

Kai asked looking back at Sarah as he saw the vast pokemon running and flying past the train on the fields. "So many pokemon out there and it surprises me how they just keep coming. And the mega stones too those interest me the most hopefully I can witness mega evolution soon." Kai said smiling.

Braelyn had heard of Mega Evolution, but she herself had never seen it. She knew that currently it was limited to a few Pokemon and that currently she owned none that could Mega Evolve. That was alright with her since she wasn't all that interested in it.​

Watching as the train went by a little barn he watched as there was a view of the backyard and it seemed to have smaller pokemon playing and enjoying life. Kai nodded at the site as the train announce their arrival to the city as it was soon turning night time. Charmander looked up at Kai and stretched. "I know I a long ride indeed imagine if it was on foot." Kai said sighing as it would probably take him and braelyn two days maybe even three because of her constant self of always being left behind in the absolute worst timings. Kai looked at Braelyn and nodded as he realized her dream was getting ever so closely.

Sarah

"Finally we're almost here it's been so long we can rest at my house and call it a day!" She said stretching her arms out as she squinted.​

As the train came to a stop it announced its arrival and opened its doors open. Sarah got up walking to one of the doors stepping out as she saw the amazing street lights as the sun began to set ever so quickly.

Kai let Kristina and Charmander roll on his shoulder as he stood up looking at braelyn as he stepped to a girl. Some girl with a big hat walled in front of Kai she had a beautiful light blue dress on as she parted to the left. Kai watched her walk off as he almost tripped coming off the train. @Megus

Braelyn sighed as the train finally rolled to a stop. The purplette followed behind Sarah, her arms unusually empty as Kristina was on Kai's shoulder for now. Braelyn was glad her Oshawott was fond of the boy, and she was fine with letting him hold her for a bit. Hopefully his Charmander would be nice though.

Night was coming quickly, and she smiled a little. The sunset caused the sky to be filled with many shades of pink, purple, and orange. She couldn't help staring at it as she walked off in search of the Pokemon Center. Hopefully there would be a room for her to sleep in there.​

Sarah wondered off back towards the forest as she was headed home. Sarah looked back to see Kai and braelyn hoping they'd catch up. "Hurry up you two!"

With charmander and Kristina on his shoulder turned to braelyn holding his hand out to her. "I don't want you lost."

Sarah wondered off back towards the forest as she was headed home. Sarah looked back to see Kai and braelyn hoping they'd catch up. "Hurry up you two!"

With charmander and Kristina on his shoulder turned to braelyn holding his hand out to her. "I don't want you lost."

Braelyn looked around the train station, spotting Sarah who was looking back expectantly. Wait, they were going now? It was almost dark, and she hadn't felt right about intruding on Sarah's family in the first place, but apparently her friend had other plans.

Kai's voice startled her a bit seeing as he was closer than she had thought. She had thought he had gone ahead with Sarah, but apparently not. No, he was standing in front of her with a hand extended. He didn't want her to get lost? She wouldn't have gotten lost in the first place if he had given her some notice that he was leaving for town! This situation was different than the forest though. She could very easily get separated in the sea of people who were exiting and preparing to board the train.

Hesitantly, Braelyn took his extended hand. Oh, Sarah would talk her ear off if she saw this. That was not something she was looking forward to. She had already had to explain they weren't "together" in any way and this probably wasn't helping her case.​

Kai gripped braelyns hand gently while walking off to catch up with Sarah. "Mega evolution do you know what it takes to even get your Pokemon to mega evolve in the first place? Very strong bond and a true dedication for strength." Kai said dodging branches that came his way. "I'm going to reach the league one way or another step by step." With those words Kai looked at the night sky with a serious face. "If there's any way I can make you the queen of this region I'll help just ask me." He said as his grip was tighter. Kai was pumped for the future that shined bright on them.

Sarah

Looking back to check on the two she noticed Kai was talking as it made her smile. "We're almost there don't worry." Sarah stated with a warm smile.
