Braelyn had been sitting quietly, observing the others who would very soon become competition. She wasn't fond of the thought of having her own rival, but it was bound to happen. She just hoped it would be someone she could make a friend out of as well.

Breaking out of her thoughts as a lady approached, Braelyn offered her a small smile. The purplette took the case slowly as to admire it. "Thank you." She muttered, still staring down at the case. This was it. She was officially a Pokemon Coordinator.

Kai Takeshi

Kai looked at the lady who pointed him the way to the seats as he headed that way. Walking through the crowd of people he passed by Braelyn. So many friends and people talking to one another it was hard to hear anything, it was like a big party going on with family members as if they can't use inside voices.

A Boy

"Hey my name is Lloyd." He said sitting by Braelyn. "Your pretty cute, you knew to being a Coordinator?" He said crossing his arms sitting by the purplette.​

Kai Takeshi

Kai looked at the lady who pointed him the way to the seats as he headed that way. Walking through the crowd of people he passed by Braelyn. So many friends and people talking to one another it was hard to hear anything, it was like a big party going on with family members as if they can't use inside voices.

A Boy

"Hey my name is Lloyd." He said sitting by Braelyn. "Your pretty cute, you knew to being a Coordinator?" He said crossing his arms sitting by the purplette.​

Soon after she had placed the ribbon case with the rest of her stuff a boy came and sat next to her. She glanced over at him, but at his words a rather dark blush spread across her face and she turned away again. "I'm Braelyn." She muttered under her breath while trying to keep her voice steady.


She had always been the shy one around new people, and this boy's flirting obviously made her flustered. Wait, was he a Coordinator too? Was this Lloyd going to be a rival? She had to know now that she thought it.


Braelyn glanced back up even though her face was still burning. "Are you a Coordinator too?"

I'm the greatest male candidate for this it's amazing the hear the girls scream my name!"

Bebe sighed walking over and grabbing the pokeball " i was really hoping to catch that kangaschaun" he sighed looking over at stinger who was really beat up."stinger return" he said putting stinger in its ball. walking out of the forest and towards the poke center.while he was walking he noticed a coordinator contest starting.Shrugging he walked into the center and handed nurse joy his pokeballs.when she finished he deiced to go check out the contest

He said smiling at the girl as he looked at her. "I seen your oshowatt earlier it was nice but not as good as my bayleef." He said laughing at the girl basically mocking her. He looked at Braelyn once more as he smiled at her. "You come alone?" He said trying to understand the girl more as he put his hand near hers as he looked at her.​

With a sigh, Braelyn finally nodded. "Yeah. I was traveling with my friend Kai, but then he left me in the forest." She shivered at the thought of almost being trapped in the forest overnight. "I was watching a Pokemon pass and he just left without warning me."

I heard he's challenging the gym today, rumors say the gym leader already met the guy and said he had a fire in his eyes determined for battle." He said as his eyes sparkled up thinking about Kai. "I wonder if the rumors are true and he's as good of a trainer as they say." He said rubbing his chin. "Since this is your contest it must only be his first gym battle as well." He said rubbing his chin once more. "You guys are like boyfriend or girlfriend? I've never heard of a battler to stop their dream to go to contest for one person." He said looking at Braelyn with a evil smile.​

"Dude with red jacket and Charmander always on his shoulder?" Lloyd asked the purplette to figure out what she was talking about. "Didn't he just walk by? I heard he's challenging the gym today, rumors say the gym leader already met the guy and said he had a fire in his eyes determined for battle." He said as his eyes sparkled up thinking about Kai. "I wonder if the rumors are true and he's as good of a trainer as they say." He said rubbing his chin. "Since this is your contest it must only be his first gym battle as well." He said rubbing his chin once more. "You guys are like boyfriend or girlfriend? I've never heard of a battler to stop their dream to go to contest for one person." He said looking at Braelyn with a evil smile.​

Braelyn nodded, her expression obviously surprised at the accurate description of Kai. He had walked by?! How had she not seen him? There was no other explanation for it though. It was too much of a coincidence if it were anybody else.

However, she didn't understand how Kai had met the gym leader already. When had that happened? Maybe after he left her in the forest since she didn't remember meeting the gym leader.

"Yeah, as far as I know this is his first gym battle. We both got our starters yesterday morning." She murmured, remembering being in the Professor's lab. It was hard to believe that that had only been yesterday.


At Lloyd's next words, her face instantly flushed. "N-no! Not at all!" She exclaimed, her face a bright shade of red. Although, Lloyd had a point when he mentioned he hadn't ever heard of someone holding off on their dream to witness someone else's.

Lloyd said as the announcement had finally begun and the contest was ready to start at this point. Lloyd was ready for this as he dusted himself as he stood and looked back at the Purplette. "Good luck out there noobie." He said walking off after fixing his jacket.​

"So you mean yes right?" He said looking at her face as he laughed. "Look at you when I mentioned his name your eyes widen I can tell you have a thing for the guy no reason to hide it with me. But you see I'm way better then that guy so don't worry if he leaves you again then just come with me okay?" Lloyd said as the announcement had finally begun and the contest was ready to start at this point. Lloyd was ready for this as he dusted himself as he stood and looked back at the Purplette. Our First contester will be a girl known from far lands which traveled here Sarah!!!!" He yelled out as the crowd went wild screaming Sarah's name out as if she was a super star. She was known for an effective style of beauty added with cuteness.

Walking out of the hallway walking towards the stairs that lead to the stage she waited for the Announcer to finish up and walk off she can do her thing.​

She was smiling and laughing as her and her own Pikachu did a little dance which was quite the adorable scene to view. The Pikachu and herself ended their performance with a bow. To show their respect to the audience.

Jumping off Kai's Shoulder Charmander had noticed Braelyn's scent as he followed it running off from Kai. Of course knowing his trainer quite well already he did not decide to wait to see his reaction. Kai was to into the contest to even be noticing something pinching his cheek. Charmander ran past the feet of the people watching as he finally reached a flight of stairs that lead into the main rooms which he took running around the building till he found Braelyn. Right before he got to her he had saw three people. "Char char!" Charmander cried out as it jumped on Braelyn's back climbing up on her until he was able to lay his arms on her shoulder along side his head.

Announcer

"Now what we've all been waiting for! Lloyd our second to last performer!!!! This is said to be his third contest, and most of his loyal fans came to see him and will continue going on the journey with him am I right?" As the announcer said this most of the girls busted out in a loud scream cheering for Lloyd.

Kai Takeshi

He looked around at the girls that mostly sat around him scream for Lloyd as he winced in a bit of pain. "Geez why is this guy so important to these girls? Does he even know them?"

Lloyd

"You have a charmander too?" He was then cut off by the announcer and the screams of joy from his fans as he smirked. "Now watch a pro." He said walking to the stage.

Sarah

"Being over confident can be bad for you." She said watching Lloyd as she saw the Charmander. "So you have three cute pokemon?" She said smiling at Braelyn.

Braelyn could tell the contest was coming to a close. Many people had already gone so far, and most of them had been great. Towards the end of the current performance Braelyn heard the sound of a Pokemon and then felt a pressure on her back as the said Pokemon climbed up to rest itself on her shoulder.

Braelyn was definitely surprised and her Pokemon were too at the sudden appearance of the Charmander. Whose was it? There was no way it was wild. Why would it be in here?

Lloyd mentioned the Chatmander and she was about to deny it belonging to her when she was interrupted by the announcer. Her ears were practically split by the roar of the crowd screaming as Lloyd was announced and he sauntered off. She rolled her eyes at his departing words, but nevertheless she watched his silver hair until it disappeared.

Once he was gone, Braelyn turned to Sarah, shaking her head. "This Charmander isn't mine." She said, glancing over at the fire-type. At this point Kristina stood up for a better view. "Osha!" The small Pokemon called out, a small smile appearing on her face as she pointed up at the Charmander.


With a sudden realization, Braelyn reached out and grabbed Charmander off her shoulder. "So Kai really is here then..." She muttered, looking down at the Charmander with a small smile.

Braelyn could tell the contest was coming to a close. Many people had already gone so far, and most of them had been great. Towards the end of the current performance Braelyn heard the sound of a Pokemon and then felt a pressure on her back as the said Pokemon climbed up to rest itself on her shoulder.

Braelyn was definitely surprised and her Pokemon were too at the sudden appearance of the Charmander. Whose was it? There was no way it was wild. Why would it be in here?

Lloyd mentioned the Chatmander and she was about to deny it belonging to her when she was interrupted by the announcer. Her ears were practically split by the roar of the crowd screaming as Lloyd was announced and he sauntered off. She rolled her eyes at his departing words, but nevertheless she watched his silver hair until it disappeared.

Why was this guy so important to the girls and what spice could he bring to the bowl of soup. Kai watched the guy throw out his bayleef as he was interested now, he wanted to battle Lloyd's bayleef with his Charmander. That's when it sparked, Kai noticed Charmander was no where to be found as he got up searching for his starter pokemon. "Where could he have run off too?" Kai cried out leaving his popcorn on the chair as he walked off so no one could take his spot.

Charmander

Once picked up he nodded as he looked at Braelyn trying to explain why Kai left her in the forest all alone by herself, but of course humans don't understand pokemon language so he figured what he was saying was for nothing. At least Kirstina and Pichu knew what he was saying at least. "Char char char!" He cried out wiggling himself out of Braelyn's hands as he noticed Kai looking around. Charmander ran to his trainer as he tugged on Kai's pants. "Char charmander!" He said cutely as he pointed towards Braelyn.

Looked at Charmander pointing as he looked up to see Braelyn dressed up his face was flustered as he looked away for a moment to hide it so she wouldn't be able to see his face.

Sarah

"I assume that's your boyfriend?" She asked looking at Kai as her cheeks turned red. From the sight of him she could feel her face heat up as he was pretty cute in her eyes.

Lloyd

Making his bayleef do amazing things he was enjoying himself as he swung his wand which bayleef followed shooting it's amazing leaf on it's head to do a sweet motion. Releasing it's sweet scent everyone could get a good swift of it as they all smiled bright.

Still not noticing his charmanders disappearance he watched Lloyd step onto the stage as his eyes focused on him not worrying about the fans. Why was this guy so important to the girls and what spice could he bring to the bowl of soup. Kai watched the guy throw out his bayleef as he was interested now, he wanted to battle Lloyd's bayleef with his Charmander. That's when it sparked, Kai noticed Charmander was no where to be found as he got up searching for his starter pokemon. "Where could he have run off too?" Kai cried out leaving his popcorn on the chair as he walked off so no one could take his spot.

Looked at Charmander pointing as he looked up to see Braelyn dressed up his face was flustered as he looked away for a moment to hide it so she wouldn't be able to see his face.

Sarah

"I assume that's your boyfriend?" She asked looking at Kai as her cheeks turned red. From the sight of him she could feel her face heat up as he was pretty cute in her eyes.

Lloyd

Making his bayleef do amazing things he was enjoying himself as he swung his wand which bayleef followed shooting it's amazing leaf on it's head to do a sweet motion. Releasing it's sweet scent everyone could get a good swift of it as they all smiled bright.

By the way Charmander was speaking and waving his arms about, she knew he was trying to tell her something. She couldn't understand him of course, but Kristina and Eric would know. Maybe they could attempt to explain later.

She was going to try calming the Charmander down, but he jumped out of her arms and ran off again. Braelyn reached out to grab him, worried he would get lost in such a big building, but then realized that Kai had come up looking for him.

With a look of shock and disbelief at the other girl's words she glanced over at Sarah. Well, Lloyd must have had some truth in his words earlier. "No, he is not. Although, Lloyd asked the same thing before the contest started too." She murmured, glancing over to where Lloyd was performing. He would probably be done very soon, and then she would be up.


Usually she wasn't the type to hold grudges but, until she got an explanation as to why he left her in the forest at night when he knew full well she had a fear of ghost types, she wasn't about to speak to him. Well, unless he spoke to her first. She doubted that there would be any time for him to explain anyways before she had to go on.

Kai put Charmander on his shoulder as he watched Braelyn get called and picked on as he didn't say anything, as he went to the exit she seem to not want to be bothered by him as he covered his eyes from the bright sunlight. Obviously he only went to this contest to see her and support her. It seemed to him that she didn't want that though. Kai sighed as he was ready to train once more.​

She looked at Braelyn and shook her head as she had an evil grin. "Your hiding something aren't you." She said giggling a bit. Sarah got up as she looked up once the announcer said it was Braelyn's turn to do her performance.

Braelyn glanced down at the ground, "You're beginning to look like Lloyd." She muttered, referring to the evil grin on Sarah's face. Thankfully, she didn't need to say anymore as she was called up to perform. "Well, here goes nothing." She grabbed Kristina and walked over to the stage, shooting Lloyd a glare over her shoulder.


She took a deep breath, setting Kristina down on the ground next to her before releasing it again. She was ready for this. Braelyn stepped out into the bright spotlights of the contest hall, her eyes widening only slightly as she saw the sheer amount of people who had come to watch. Maybe she couldn't do this...


Braelyn glanced down at her Oshawott and saw a grin on the normally mild Pokemon's face. Whelp, she couldn't back out now, if only for Kristina's sake.




"Alright Kristina, let's show them what we got." She gave the water type a small smile before turning back towards the audience. "Kristina, jump." And with those words, the Oshawott took a few steps forward before leaning back and using her small tall to propel herself into the air. "Now, spin and use Water Gun!"




With only a few commands, the stage had been transformed into a glittering spiral of water. She was suddenly grateful that she had battled Hiroshi the night before. A smile appeared once more on her face as she realised she wouldn't have discovered that trick. "Use Tail Whip!"




Kristina used the attack to slash the water away. The Oshawott landed with water droplets falling and positioned herself in the same pose as earlier that morning! Then Kristina grinned and turned around and began running. Braelyn caught her with a grin of her own clearly evident and then made her way backstage again.


She made her way back to where she had left Eric and soon he had jumped into her arms as well. "That was great for just throwing it together this morning Kristina. Good job."

( I thought Kai leaving in front of Braelyn would add some tension, but it didn't I thought we would've been on the same page as we usually are. I didn't really know how to respond to this but I guess I will now.)

She grabbed Kristina and held her as she walked back out onto the stage she had only been moments before. This was such an odd feeling. Despite the situation though, Kai was still at the front of her mind. She'd just have to find him when she could finally escape.

She looked at Kai as she giggled a bit. "Ready to battle your first day buddy?" She said smiling at Kai looking at the Charmander on his shoulder. She already remembered the way he battled from how he trained his pokemon. She had already came up with a specific strategy to beat Kai.

Braelyn looked down at the microphone that had been put near her. What was she thinking about? "To be honest, I don't think I deserve this ribbon." She stated, glancing around at the audience. "This all feels like a surreal dream that I'll wake up to in the morning." She smiled gently, glancing down at her Oshawott. "But none of this would have happened without my Kristina here. She's worked hard, and now she deserves a rest." She murmured, to which the water type agreed to with a few chirps.


She held the ribbon gently in her palm and then smiled gently towards the audience. With a timid wave, she made her way backstage once more. She looked around quickly for Lloyd and Sarah before repeating her question from earlier. "So, did either of you see which way Kai went?"
