Out of curiosity, which Overlord op do you guys like the most.

Mine is Hollow Hunger and Clattatonia

I like hollow hunger, because the message of the song is “if you can eat it, it’s food.”

So, in terms of emotional suppression, Johan has no suppression.

Guy aint an undead/shadow creature/ etc, so he's still going to be in a nervous state for some time in rp world.

RD has no listed emotional suppression, but because of her class list, she’s inherently more driven to violence and has more of a temper.

Albeit, she can still control herself to enough of a degree to rationally act and make decisions, but she’ll have trouble not gravitating towards anger and violence.

I think once she realizes she doesn’t get scared by human or monster deaths anymore, and doesn’t really feel anything other than anger, envy, and any of the other cardinal sins, she’ll probably have a breakdown. Luckily, instead of suddenly going from a possible threat to the apocalyptic messenger of the new world, she’ll have her friends to help her get through it, and so she’ll stay relatively sane and well-cared-for.

I think the solution would probably be for her to either obtain an item that suppresses her bloodthirst, or for her to steal emotional suppression by eating the soul of an undead.

That second one could end up being very interesting if the target she picks is Evil Eye. But more likely it’ll end up being the lich from 6 Arms, or the elder coffin dragon lord.

The curve of her lips widened, a clear smile. That is, if the look on her face, like a splash of blood, counted as a smile.

It’d be interesting if the thing that RD uses to keep herself sane in the mean time is sort of like Amai Mask, where they let out all of their rage onto monsters and villains, and it keeps them just barely from teetering over the edge.

The big problem afterwards, at least in RD’s case is that RD will probably be livid at whoever did this to one of her precious NPCs and will probably go on a rampage to find them. And since she has a WI (ouroboros) she’ll be immune to Downfall of Castle and Country.

Whereas Ainz blamed himself and Shalltear for making “mistakes” the only mistake RD would see was the mistake of anyone in the new world thinking they could fuck with her or her creations.

Tbf, nobody could predict that WIs were also sitting around in the NW, or that such an item was in the thocracy. Not surprised Ainz took it hard considering he saw Shalltear as Pero's kid, and by extention he sort of failed him from her brainwash. As for whether or not they would use it against you if you attacked, it depends on whether the owner was wounded or killed hy the attack as that was why Shalltear was left in that field and not in the theocracy. If the situation is the same, then the WI wouldn't be used if you attack

Then again. The battle that leads to the arc might never even happen. Multiple things had to come together for it to happen, and we don’t have all of the pieces here, especially depending on how our characters go about reacting to the new world.

It’s all up in the air and pretty unpredictable. The only things set in stone so far are that Logos has arrived in the new world, and at some point after 2 or 3 irp days, the razing of carne village will happen. And some weeks after that, Clementine and Dale will kidnap Nphirea.

We might not even have anything close to the bloody Valkyrie arc. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Because it forces us to practice our creativity in coming up with new plots.

Personally, other than being only debatably possible from a story perspective, I don’t know if the same stakes are at play for the BV arc, and that it might fall flat on some fundamental narrative levels.

The main problem is that Ainz felt like he himself was responsible in part for the mistakes made, so he himself had to kill Shalltear, alone, in a battle that he didn’t have a great chance of winning without some serious devious tricks and clever moves (and plenty of luck.)

But even our strongest NPC, Ophelia Payne, would probably get blasted if the guild ganged up on her.

It’d only effect RD if the powers she absorbed were emotion related. Which is why she’d have to kill and eat the soul of someone who already has emotion suppression.

It’s possible Blackjack operates similarly.
