It’d only effect RD if the powers she absorbed were emotion related. Which is why she’d have to kill and eat the soul of someone who already has emotion suppression.

It’s possible Blackjack operates similarly.
It seems Blackjack needs to go through a whole Kaneki arc, without any Jason.

Tokyo Ghoul reference. The MC gradually changes because of his situation. A meeting with a certain ghoul named Jason causes some drastic changes.
Blegh.

Tokyo Ghoul is exceedingly edgy and angsty. To the point where I couldn't enjoy it at all.

The series is basically just a thinly veiled racial commentary, with some masquerade fantasy elements.

The art isn't spectacular or anything, which might've excused the series if it was (Ie; a series like GANTZ)

The character designs are nothing special, and the basic premise has been done better before in other properties (Ie; Vampire the Masquerade)

IMO, just a big nothing-burger. And the portion of the fanbase I've met are mostly a bunch of dicks who like to criticize young writers.

I guess enjoy it if you want, but it seemed like an Anime/Manga that thought it itself was "cool" and "different", without realizing how cringe-inducing it was.

Don't know if it means anything to you but the manga is very different from the anime. This guy captures my feelings exactly:

"The manga is better" is true in most cases.

Even for OPM.

Animation takes time and hundreds of different people working countless hours for chickenfeet wages. The merchandising is what matters to anime companies, not the quality of the artistic work.

Except for Trigger, but they're a special case, since they're made up of a lot of former talent from Gainax. And maybe Ghibli, but Hayao Miyazaki was a very special kind of visionary that I don't think we'll ever see again.

And the main thing is, I haven't even watched the anime. I read some of the manga and it didn't catch my eye.

But who knows, I might've been into it more if I didn't have the incident with the fans, or if I had been younger and still going through my edgy phase.

I believe it's also true for Kyoto Animation. The manga to some of the series they animate simply do not come close.

A strange greataxe personally designed and made by his creator. It possesses a wide axe head polished and decorated with the kanji for fire, but it's not connected to wood but to a long metal rod capable of changing it's length. Attached to and just above the axe blade, is a large piece of metal, shaped and colored to resemble the head of a npc monster than only appears during the first day of the Lunar Year Celebration period. It's head was like a lion's made of black steel with a broken blue horn on its forehead. Curved strings of yellow and purple metal surroud the back of the head like a mane of hair, not covering the axe blade and resting just above the rod, covering any sign of connection between the two. It's mouth is shaped as if it was growling loudly with golden eyes staring outward, red chains wrapped around the lower jaw and the rod area below.

It was also a weapon that was difficult to use properly, due to the heavy weight of the metal that made it necessary for a high level of strength to wield along with skill, which is coupled with it's heavy slashing damage and damage to equipment durability. However, it possesses a strange side effect, as the head is capable of recieving and destroying any equipment deposited inside it's maw, with destroyed equipment from combat counting to it. Once enough have been 'consumed', a bright glow emminates from inside the head and after a heafty use of 25% total Mp, a massive fire begins to form inside. The head then has two uses, where the user can either launch the fire out as a massive projectile, dealing fire and blast damage in a burst of colorful lights, or use it to propel the user forward at a rapid rate.

It was crafted over the course of many years, due to the necessary materials only appearing once a year. Accordingly, it was a concept weapon his creator had made for his own fictional villain, but was swapped for another design instead due to it's overdesign.
God I have no clue if this weird weapon idea fits or not but here we go. Any suggesstions if it doesn't?

No idea if he meets whatever expectations you guys have or fit the game
He's fine. But his situational fighting ability might not be very useful for the group.

Then again, we are in need of healers. So if he can do that sort of thing when he's not going berserk that might be useful.

I'll add some monk healing stuff like 'Healing Hands' or something along those lines

Needs for the Many - Transfer his Hp points to either one or multiple targets, being spread equally between them. Up to 15% of his total Hp can be used, and does not count as harming him. Has a cooldown of 10 minutes.

Rapid acupuncture - Repeatedly heal an individual through physical contact, draining Mp overtime until interrupted, all of the target Hp is healed or a total of 40% is recovered. Has a cooldown of 8 minutes

Healing hands - Presses his hands close to the target's body and radiates a light green energy, healing up to 5% of the target's Mp. Has a cooldown of 15 seconds.

Meditative stance - Enter a meditative state and remain in it for 30s-1 minute. Once complete, all cooldowns are reduced by 20% of the original cooldown. Has a cooldown of 15 minutes

Purifying Touch - Press the head of a target and heal up to 30% of their Hp and remove two banes/side effects. Has a cooldown of 5 minutes.

Ki Aura - Create a light yellow aura of Ki around him that passively heals anyone within the area. The effect lasts for 10s, and has a cooldown of
2 minutes.

Healing stuff added

oh god, I just realized that with how big he is, getting healing through physical contact must be a scary sight for some people
It's okay. They're accustomed to the healers being absolutely buttfuck terrifying.

Our other main healer is Fun Fun Fun, and he's the most liminal, gangly looking fuck out of the whole group.

Nothing says fun like a guild where most of the healers look like they want to eat you or finish the job instead of giving slightly free medical care

FFF is so horrifying in appearance that he can't even properly take a human form.

On a good day, something like this is the best he can do: 1667362916701.png

It's really unfortunate too, because he's the only person in the Logos Guild who has his head screwed on perfectly fine.
