References for Hajun (Got my ass off to write it out)
Onw of the main inspirations was from ROR, specifically fight 6. Wont post stuff about it cause spoilers. Also because Nephilim have next to nothing about them in Overlord.
Hajun- name of the demon who tempted Buddha. Also known as Mara.
Due to the nephilim roots being mixed up between giants, children of fallen angels and the descendants of Cain and Seth, I decided to mix the three of them together.
Precepital Seal is based on the 8 Precepts, a set of rules that Buddhists follow which prohibit them doing certain things, including killing and lying. The kanji words used are based on those that I thought would convey the same meaning and can be spelt in kanji (dunno if all can). Beads based on the wooden beads Buddhists use.
Road to Passivity is quite literally a 'Robe of Passivity'
Enlightening Grace is based on the Golden Headband Sun Wukong wore (was going to be the actual item) and on the buddhist line 'Conquer anger with non-anger. Conquer badness with goodness. Conquer meanness with generosity. Conquer dishonesty with truth'.
Undying Surus: Based on the Buddhist line 'As an elephant in the battlefield withstands arrows shot from bows all around, even so shall I endure abuse. There are many, indeed, who lack virtue, ' And 'A tamed elephant is led into a crowd, and the king mounts a tamed elephant. Best among men is the subdued one who endures abuse.' Surus is the name of the elephant Hannibal of Carthage rode on
Both weapons are inspired by a chinese proverb line 'A mountain of knives and a sea of fire' while not completely following it, certainly inspired them.
Imprisoned Devouring Beast:
Inspired by another line from Buddhist religion 'Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned', and how berserkers usually used axes. The style was also inspired by a weapon from ROR during fight 6. The 'Beast' in question is the Nian, a monster from Chinese stories that was a beast that appeared at the start of every new year but was chased away by red, firecrackers and lights. The first two are expressed inside, though firecrackers became fireworks, while the red is from red chains on the weapon.
Frost Carving Storm:
Inspired by a chinese line "When it is windy and cold outside, you should use 寒风刺骨 to describe the weather. The wind has to be so cold it feels as if the wind is “cutting into your bones.” The weapon is a Miandao, which was China's answer to the nodachi used by the Japanese.
As you can tell, a number of the chinese and buddhist lines used were sort of twisted and reversed to help make the items in question.

- Giant- Fallen giant class, Forceful alteration
- Fallen angel- Hell-touched, most of the racial skills
- Cain- Mark of Cain, the brand given so no man could harm him after he killed Able.
