You know not everyoen wants to write a 20 page explanation of their actions when there are more important interactions going on in truth your harping on this minor thing is just as annoying as the pervious moral debate.

And my character made an interpretation based on what Dante wrote. I'm trying to get a clarification <.<

"Toxic pride" makes no sense to me. Did she balance out the pride?

The idea was simple she removed the arrogance and left just normal pride would you liek that stretched out to 80k words to make sure it is 100% clear?

If you don't explain, I make assumptions.

i am not talking about what your character thinks your character guessing is fine i am more talking about how this seems to be a hard concept to grasp bad pride gone okay the part of extra pride that caused him to act out the part that inflated his ego the part that actually had him call out Azani over a grade. That part the part previously mentioned that arrogance arrogance being the extra bad pride that caused him to do bad things to protect his ego that pride. Okay that bad pride was eaten and has been replaced with a normal more manageable version what you might call a balanced pride.

this help at all or do you need a 1 million word post repeating and explaining the idea that some emotions can be bad and when those emotions are bad the are toxic that bad pride arrogance is toxic pride because it is bad.

maybe this will help i tried explaining it to a friend a toxic emotion is when it gets so bad the emotion is basically poising you.

My own intupritation of pride is that there is Pride and then Toxic pride. Pride in itself isn't negative, like for example you can be proud that you saved someone's life. Then there is what I would consider toxic Pride, where you are proud of saving someone's life, but that in turn makes you think you are better then that person. Since you are GM I am happy to go with whatever you say how it would actually be

It's unclear because, to me, emotions don't have a quality to them. They have a quantity. Therefore the addition of a quality confuses me.

I would appreciate it if you didn't confuse my lack of understanding with trying to make things difficult. I'm not. I'm trying to get a clarification, which is what the ooc chat is for.

Hm, I do think I get what you're going for...but thinking you're better than another isn't necessarily a bad thing

My confusion now is what she did with the other emotions. Does he still have them? Karcen has been answering for me, but I want to make sure so I'm getting what she does right.

Then think of emotions as cups of water as the cups are filled they get worse when they overlow they are damaging you mental well-being. Whst kuro did and does is eat up all that extra water and put in some balanced but not to high pride. Fir this boy she drank the water and refilled it somewhat to a more healthy level.

This isn't perfect but it is a way to balance emotions

Yes well there is opposing and having someone have to break character and spend time explaining their character breaking show don't tell to the point of debating just leaving.

After a bit those emotions will come back but the point of it is that phantoms that normally would be attracted to someone damning another person to hell wouldn't be attracted as their aren't really any negative emotions to feed off of at that time.

It's not my intention to create a turn off or break(?) a character so I appologize if it came off that way. But I do need things to be clear so I can properly interact with Dante's character. I'm not even debating. If questions bother you just leave the answering to Dante.

It wasn't particularly poor. The clarification was just reaffirm your character's actions since there seemed to be varying opinions about it.

I now have the gist of it and my character's opinion remains the same. No changes necessary on my part
