Just cause I read worse don't mean it ain't cursed
Does that mean a mage that uses a certain spell a lot could tattoo a circle on themselves and use thst for less drain?

Omg it's so gorgeous to see the uniform like for real cuz I couldn't find any reference images in Google and the drawing itself is beautiful, you're really talented.
Also, it depends on whatever she's casting to be honest. It's a ritual it seems so it's totally fine to be flashy here and there (There's another type of magical circles that aren't draw with chalk on a surface but rather are magically drawn mid air in front of the caster's hands, that's regular casting while physically drawing with chalk or other materials is considered ritualistic and more powerful, less draining but slower since in requires preparations so it's less dynamic)
Basically if you are simply battling and want to throw a fireball, you go for regular casting. If you're creating a magical artifact and require great amounts of magic and materials, you go for a ritual.
Roy Mustang but On The Skin instead of GlovesDoes that mean a mage that uses a certain spell a lot could tattoo a circle on themselves and use thst for less drain?
Tattooing magical circles on your skin could do more harm that good, if you get distracted while casting that hypothetical fireball then it just fizzles in mid air but if the circle is tattooed in your body then it might cook your insidesDoes that mean a mage that uses a certain spell a lot could tattoo a circle on themselves and use thst for less drain?

Not to mention the relation between emotions and magic, what if Ryan gets upset and the magic coursing through his body triggers his tattoos into growing a tree inside of him?
That being said, magical tattoos do exist in the form of sigils (magical symbols, less powerful than magical circles) but the magical part is about enchanted ink that constantly absorbs some of your mana pool's capacity to fuel its effects. The effect is decided when the ink is enchanted and once tattooed it can't be changed. Damaging the tattoo won't end its effect, only a ritual can sever the connection between the tattoo and the witch.
So for example, you can tattoo some sigils in your body to make a certain spell less draining for you but then this would reduce the amount of mana you have for casting other spells permanently
Yeah, ritual casting is the safer approach to magic since you're basically physically writing what you want to happen step by step (Those sigils mean something, they are instructions) while also adding some defenses in case things get out of hand.THANK

Oo
I feel like Rumi's gonna be a fan of ritual casting in general
at least partially because way less chance of fucking up and sending out an emotional fireball when you have to draw the circle out
and she gets to spend a long time busy with her hands to get something done.
Also
full image of the magic circle made for Rumi's art - cuz i spent way too long on it to just leave it on the floor
Weaving magical circles on clothing or printing them on is unreliable since if the thing gets slightly scratched or thorn and the witch doesn't realize it it could go really wrong really fast (Which is against the purpose of ritualism, really) so the most common approach is making enchanted grimoires with the circles drawn in the pages (For the adventurous ritualists that like to travel a lot)oh
would having clothing items with the circle printed on them have similar drawbacks, or no?
aka actual roy mustang gloves
yepHey! Once our CS is reacted to, we're free to post our starter?
I think that’s entirely up to you, might just be a habit to do it for some of usI see a lot of people using colored text for speech Would it be easier for people to read if I colored mine too?
WonderfulBellatrix is like the grumpy cat meme but personified.
