Earth is all about stability, a sense of security while Sky is all about change and freedom.

Sun is all about straightforwardness, light, protection and healing but Moon is about deceiving, cunning and charming

It's interesting that Earth is about stability when it's the only one that allows users to change their shape

Does shapeshifting have a different feeling to it than the rest of Earth magic?

It requires stability to maintain the desired shape and more so to keep it from affecting your personality (Like you know, turning into a cat and be chasing mice all day instead of your regular activities) shapeshifting does have a wilder energy than other spells but it's on the caster to keep themselves grounded (Pun intended)
