He nodded and walked back inside, shoving past Angel and going to the back, seeing Letty there "I want you to be safe okay? Stay in town alright?" He told her and sent her off for a bit looking at Max, "We gotta get you out of town for a bit, til all this dies down." He muttered.

Carmen frowned, stepping back once they came in and just watched him, feeling sick to her stomach when they couldn't get him settled, eventually having to leave the room and sat down out in the hallway, shaking like mad.

Max frowned shaking her head some "Coco I can't just up and leave! I have a job and bills to pay!" She said trying to not freak out at the moment

Jack started seizing up and they were soon pulling him out and into the OR to fix his stitches and get him stablized.

He frowned and glared at her "Then you should have thought about that before you tried to kill someone!" He screamed at her, "You go ahead and go back to work then. You'll be in prison before yu can walk through your front door! Trust me you don't wanna end up there." He snapped at herm sitting down and running his hands through his hair, "What do you want me to do then huh?!"

She watched them pull him out, just covering her mouth in shock before getting up and leaving the hospital on autopilot, heading out of there and straight to where they'd parked the car, driving down to the club house. She knew enough to know that they would be involved somehow, parking in the lot and got out, storming over to Angel "Who shot my husband?!" She yelled at him.

Max frowned more at him shaking her head some "I don't know! I just want my family whole again!" She yelled before she walked out to get some water frowning when she saw Carmen there yelling at Angel

Angel frowned some and pushed her back some "You need to calm the fuck down! No one here tried to kill him!" He spat not knowing Max was behind them now

"Oh really?! Cause the only reason anyone would be trying to shoot at me would be from here! And the only person here who knows what happened back then is you! So don't come at me with that bullshit!" She snapped at him, seeing his confusion "Jack wasn't the target! He pushed me out the way and he got hit! They don't think he's gonna make the week so don't you come at me with your li- you! You fucking psycho!" She turned her attention to the redheaded woman standing by the fridge "What the fuck is your problem?!" She snapped at her, gritting her teeth.

Coco frowned sighing heavily and trying to work out how they were going to get around this without her going to prison before he was pulled from his thoughts at the sound of yelling up at the front, heading out there to see what was going on.

Max frowned when she saw the woman and soon saw red and she started yelling at her "You! You fucking bitch!" She screamed running after her and tackling her to the ground grabbing her by the hair and slamming her head to the floor "You took him from me!! You took everything from me!" She screamed

Angel went wide eyed and frowned taking a deep breath "Shit..." he muttered trying to get in the middle but soon Carmen was ontop and it was getting bad for both women

Carmen got back on top, just trying to restrain her until she felt someone pulling her off and saw Coco holding her back, "I don't fucking know you! First time I ever fucking meet you you're putting two bullets in my husband!" She yelled at her,

"Enough!" Coco snapped at them both, keeping Max away from her "You want Letty seeing you like this?!" He muttered to her, frowning as he listened to Carmen and looked to Angel, "You wanna explain? Cause she don't know about Aaron and she don't know the full story about Carmen!" He snapped at him, "Get inside, all of you." He muttered, not about to do this in the open, going to get a few ice packs for the girls and muttering under his breath, for once being the sensible one

Max spat at her as Angel held her back shaking her head some "You fucking rat! You killed my family!" She spat crying as she sat down looking at Coco and taking the ice pack

Angel frowned some and got them inside shaking his head a bit "Max shut the fuck up!" He yelled glaring at the woman before turning to Carmen "This is Max....we killed her cousin as the rat because I let you go."

Carmen pulled off of him and turned to face him. “You... someone died because of that?! You let me ... no don’t you dare blame me for that! I never knew that would happen. I assumed you would either tell the truth or tell them it was another of the girls who left!” She whimpered shaking some and feeling her face throbbing. “How much blood is on your hands because you told me to leave?” She questioned him.

Coco frowned shaking his head and looked to max. “Don’t move.” He muttered inspecting her wounds and just listening carefully to what was going on, not interfering unless he needed to.

Max took deep breaths as she let him look her over listening to her more letting a few tears fall "They killed the only family I ever had...caused me to loose the one I was going to have." She said taking a deep breath. She strongly believed that had Aaron not died her and Coco would have stayed together.

Angel frowned shaking his head more "They would have killed you had I told them....and I...I panicked...I had to find someone for the fall so that you would be safe. Then you show up and throw everything I did for you in my face and betray me."

Carmen shook her head and glared at him. “Get your head out of your ass, coming here had nothing to do with you. The people they’re looking for aren’t even to do with the damn club Angel! As for you, you better pray your ass off that my husband survives this. Cause if he doesn’t there will be hell to pay for. So fucking watch yourself.” She snapped at the woman, taking off and trying to calm down but she was sobbing the whole way back to the hospital, making it inside and going to jacks room again frowning when he was t there and went to ask at a nurses station.

Coco frowned looking at them both just shaking his head again and watched Carmen leave. “Youre coming across the border with me.” He told max “it’s not a choice.” He snapped as he saw she was about to argue with him.

Max frowned about to say something but stopped when he said it wasnt a choice "We can't just leave Letty." She murmured standing up with the ice pack pressed to her cheek

Jack groaned some seeing her there reaching some "Babe?" He murmured in and out of it

She made it to his room and walked over to his bed, taking his hand tightly and sat down. “Shh, Rest honey.” She coaxed gently and watched him carefully, placing a hand on his forehead gently, "I'm right here okay?" She murmured quietly "But you need to rest... They're worried about infection alright?" She murmured, shaking a little and trying to get him to go to sleep, not wanting to worry him with how beat up she was.

He frowned watching her, "She's not gonna touch her... She's gonna be back with her husband until he either dies or gets out." He muttered, shaking his head some, "Come on, I'm getting you out of here." He muttered, getting a bag and stuffing it with what she'd brought over, taking her hand again and going to the tunnel "And we won't be gone forever. I'll come back later anyway I got a job tonight." He muttered

Max gave a small nod and followed him through the tunnel giving a heavy sigh "Where will I be staying?" She asked taking his hand in hers as they walked

Jack frowned shaking his head some "You're hurt....what happened sugar?" He asked quietly hoping no one had tried to hurt her again

He frowned some, "The club's place, I'll be here every night okay? I promise." He murmured softly to her and glanced back at her for a moment.

Carmen shook her head, "It doesn't matter, I'm okay... Just... rest for me bubba alright?" She murmured, adjusting the mask on his face and moved to lay her body across his legs, giving his hand a squeeze, "I need you to make it through this." She murmured softly, rubbing his knuckles.

Max gave a small nod and sighed softly kissing his hand gently "I love you Coco." She murmured before climbing out of the tunnel once they got to their destination

Jack frowned but gave a small nod and sighed heavily "I'll try sugar...I promise." He whispered

She frowned some and kissed his knuckles just keeping an eye on him all night. She stayed with him over the next couple weeks with a lot of ups and downs but she'd finally been allowed to take him home with strict rest instructions for him, barely allowing him to lift a finger, keeping him comfortable on the couch with a bucket nearby and lots of water, heading in to sit next to him, lifting his feet into her lap "We gotta clean that soon." She mumbled, watching him some and smiled tiredly at him, just staring.

Coco sighed heavily, rubbing at his face some. He had been trying to balance the club and Max desperately but it felt like he was running out of steam for any of it, needing a break but he didn't have the time. It didn't help that Max was getting restless across the border and he wasn't sure how much longer he would be able to keep her from coming back. He'd been working on the scrap yard all morning when he fiirst saw her come through the club doors, getting up and storming over to her, "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He spat at her, grabbing her arm and taking her back inside.

Max had been cooped up so long over the border she was tired and wanted to see her daughter. She stepped out of the clubhouse to see Coco frowning as he drug her back inside "I came to see my daughter! I wasn't going to leave the clubhouse." She said sighing heavily when she saw how stressed and tired he looked "Papí....talk to me....you look so tired." She said worriedly cupping his cheek

Jack smiled some as she came to sit down with him taking a quick glance at his bandage wrapped stomach and soon let his gaze go to her again "You are so beautiful you know that?" He said smiling softly at her and taking her hand in his. It had been a rough recovery for sure but he knew had be not had Carmen by his side it would have been so much worse

Carmen smiled tiredly and blushed a little, "Maybe... but I still like hearing you say it." She murmured, squeezing his hand. Her own cuts and bruises were finally mostly faded and she had spent her time focused on his recovery that she hadn't been worried about herself, or Max and the club for that matter. "Potter told me that you're thinking about going into the office tomorrow.... I wish you'd agree to us just going home." She sighed a little.

He frowned some, "Then don't step out of the club house.... I'm fine, I just didn't sleep much.' He muttered, wiping his hands off on a rag and looked her over "I know you're bored seneseless, I get it baby I do... but I can't lose you and we are under so much heat at the moment from that Potter guy.... I don't want you out here at the wrong time." He mumbled,

Jack gave a heavy sigh and nodded some "I know, but I'll be damned if I let the fucking person who tried to kill you get away." He muttered squeezing her hand as well "I'll be fine okay? No field work." He murmured

Max nodded softly and pressed her forhead to his for comfort sighing some "You won't loose me, and we'll figure all of this out okay?" She whispered softly to him before she kissed him lovingly "Finish up out there and come lay down okay?" She whispered

She frowned some and shook her head. She hadn't told him about what happened the day she went to the club house but she just wanted him safe and she couldn't care less now he had survived about Max paying for it, "Why? So you can get hurt again? Jack you're still throwing up several times a day... i'm not about to let you walk back into work cause I know that when you say no field work.... It means probably you'll end up doing field work." She muttered.

He groaned a little and just held her close, "I'm fine." He mumbled, shaking his head some and kissed her nose, going to finish up some work before heading back to his room and walked in to find her on the bed, dropping down next to her and pulled her body in close to his, "I love you... Even if you do drive me crazy." He smiled tiredly at her, not needing to be told twice as hepulled his shoes off and got his button up off, laying there in his jeans, undone and the zipper down, and a tank top just holding his woman close to him

Jack gave a heavy sigh seeing how scared she looked in her eyes "Let me finish up what I can, heal up fully, and then we'll go home okay? We can look for a puppy too." He murmured softly to her squeezing her hand assuringly

Max smiled some as he came in and soon moved to lay ontop of him "Mmm I love you too." She said laughing lightly as she watched him "You ever think about having a wife? Or another baby?" She asked biting her lip some

She frowned and just watched him, "Jack... I want you safe and I want me safe and I know I was the one who pushed the whole come back to Cali thing.... but I wanna go home." She whimpered, shakign a little and crying as she gripped his hand still.

He smiled some, tracing patterns over her sking once he pushed her shirt up some, "I dunno.... Are we gonna make it through a pregnancy and be a family this time?" He asked her softly, watching her some and trying desperately to keep his eyes open but he really was exhausted from everything that had been going on over the past couple weeks

Max gave a small nod and kissed him gently "Yes we would." She whispered stroking his cheek "Get some sleep handsome, we can talk about this later." She murmured smiling some as she watched him start to pass out

Jack frowned softly and pulled her to lay with him "Baby we'll be okay I promise. We will go home as soon as I can make that trip okay?" He said quietly

She sniffled quietly but nodded and held onto him carefully while they lay there. “I can’t lose you Jack.” She whispered, shaking still. “And I’m scared that if we stay here I will.” She told him gently.

He mumbled an agreement as he finally conked out, keeping his arms wrapped around her protectively, not ready to let her go anywhere. Be really hadn’t wanted to send her across the border in the first place but it had been the safest option.
