He frowned some shaking his head, "She married the DEA agent? Maybe she didn't have a choice, maybe work brought him back here?" He pointed out and shrugged some, sighing a bit. "Try not to worry too much, it's not like she's at the club." He pointed out. He went through the day as normal and picked Max up as promised before taking her to the club and got them a beer each, sitting near the fire pit with Angel and Gilly, keeping Max on his lap and holding her close happily, "I feel like we're kids again." He chuckled quietly to Max, kissing her temple.
Carmen had been worrying about it a little all day until it finally came time to head into the club, texting Jack that she would be fine and that she loved him before chucking her phone in her purse. At least the recording devices were a lot more subtle these days and wouldn't be noticed easily. She headed straight over to grab a beer once she arrived and smiled at Bishop, the man who had been like a father to her while she was growing up, going over and hugging him tightly, chatting with him and feeling Angel's eyes burning into her the whole night.
