One and Only

Kaliyah smiled warmly. She felt like she loved him. She wasn't quite sure how that emotion made someone feel internally, but she thought it was love. "I... I think I do, yes." The princess whispered.

Roderick moved quickly. He kissed her and slid the ring off her finger before kneeling on one knee. "then, my dear, sweet Princessa. My Kaliyah. Will you do me the greater honor of becoming my wife...for real?" He asked, holding out her ring.

Kaliyah lifted her hands to cover her mouth before nodding eagerly. "Of course I will!" She responded. Never in her wildest dreams did she fathom marrying a man who originally wanted to kill her, but it was a pleasant turn of events.

Roderick beamed and slid the ring back on her slender finger. The he lifted her up an spun her before kissing her. "I love you too Princessa." He slid on hid matching ring. "We'll get it officiated today in town. Unless you would like to have a real wedding?"

"I would be okay with today. I've never been one for extravagant events." Kaliyah responded as she moved closer to Rodrick. She placed a hand on his chest and grinned up at him.

"Good. We sign a paper and then you are Lady Kaliyah Mathews. I like the sound of that, Wife." He couldn't keep the smile off his face as he gazed down at the beautiful woman who had just agreed to be his wife.

Kaliyah offered him an excited smile on return. "Sounds delightful. Perhaps we can tour more of the town tomorrow? I would like to get accustomed to our new beautiful house." She inquired before stepping back to find clothing that would be more appropriate and more elaborate to be seen out with.

"Anything my wife wants, she will get. I would recommend something cotton, love. It gets terribly hot here." He said, watching as she began her search.

He couldn't wait for that night; gis wedding night. He would worship her, if that, he was sure.

Kaliyah found a form fitting, peach colored cotton dress and turned to her soon-to-be husband, holding it in her hands. "Am I supposed to change somewhere else or... Is this alright since we'll be married soon anyways?" She asked him, blushing a little at her question,

"I'll be waiting just outside the door princessa." He smiled and stepped out, closing the door with a small click. Even now, she was so shy. He wouldn't push her until she was absolutely ready. Hopefully, tonight.

He leaned against the wall next to the doir and scuffed his boots on the carpeted floor.

The princess nodded and began to change. The dress fit well to her slender figure, showing off her subtle curves in all of the right places. After a moment, Kaliyah stepped out of the door and greeted Rodrick with a soft smile.

"Shall we be off then, sir?" She asked him with a wink.

Roderick raked his eyes over her appreciatively. "Lets. And love...we are married now. Calling me sir, just wont do." He teased, wrapping an arm around her slim waist as they walked.

Kaliyah grinned and leaned into Rodrick as he led them toward the town to be married. A few times she would glance down at her beautiful ring to see the way it sparkled in the sunlight. The entire walk, a smile light up her features. She was truly happy.

Roderick was almost deliriously happy. They were about to make their marriage official! After living his entire life without a family, that was all he wanted. And perhaps in a few years, a child. He kissed the top of his wife's head and beamed down at her. "I love you."

All the people they passed smiled at them, glad to see such young love.

Soon they reachen an imposing building, marble and tall. Large pillars in the front. A plaque by the front door said the martiage registrar was on the second floor.

Kaliyah, out of habit, returned gracious smiles to all of te people she passed. And it was just friendly. She looked up at Rodrick, a cheerful smile on her lips. "I love you too,"

Once they were inside the building, the two walked up the stairs to the second floor and requested that they be wed.

The bespectacled man behind the desk peered up at them. "Names?" He asked, pen poised over a fresh form.

"Roderick Mathews." He said, holding her hand tightly.

Kaliyah smiled politely at the man behind the counter. "Kaliyah Anderson." She replied as she leaned against Rodrick's side.

Roderick smiled as the man filled out the form. The man spoke. "Done Mrs. Kaliyah Mathews. Good day." He handed them a copy of ther certificate and waved them away.

Roderick hummed and took the paper. He pocketed the paper and kissed Kaliyah.

Kaliyah returned the kiss and looked up to Rodrick. In the distance, the sun was beginning set and a beautiful peach orange and rosey red hue spread across the horizon.

"Shall we head back then? It is getting late," she asked quietly. Her nerves were a bit on end as it was the beginning of their wedding night, but she was happy nonetheless.

Roderick smiled and lifted her up, bridal style. "Of course, wife. Lets." He kisses her once more as he began walking.

Almost no one was in the streets. Roderick threw open their front door, carrying her over the threshold. "Welcome home."

Kaliyah giggled lightly as he carried her into their home. She leaned up to kiss him deeply, her arms wrapping around his neck once more.

"Where to now?" She asked meekly as she gazed into his deep green eyes.

"Why the bedroom Princessa." He let her down, gesturing up the stairs. "I love this dress on you, by the way..."

"You do? My mother always thought it was too revealing." Kaliyah responded with a shrug as she made her way up the elaborate stair case.

She gingerly opened the bedroom door and slipped inside, waiting for Rodrick

"Thats exactly why I like it." He teased, following. He closed the door and walked up behind her, placing his hands on her hips.

Kaliyah shivered gently as he touched her. She was coming to love his touch. The brunette girl turned her head slightly to look back at Rodrick, a playful smile forming on her lips. "Well hello," she whispered.
