One and Only

"Wait out the storm...read...talk...anything you want really." He grinned and sat next to her, eyes darker already.

Kaliyah smiled warmly as he sat down. "I'll let you decide. It is your ship, after all." Her voice was quiet and smooth as honey. Her blue eyes were locked onto his green ones, examining every little detail about them.

"I think...you should kiss me." He said, not shifting his eyes away from her. He grinned. "We'll be living together afterall. We should act like a married couple so the villagers don't get suspicious." He teased.

Without another word, the princess leaned in and gently kissed Rodrick. She was unsure of how heated he wanted her to kiss him, so she would let him decide that. Her arms once again wrapped around his neck as she shifted to face him.

Roderick grunted lightly and pulled her onto his lap. "Easier." He mumbled before pressing her close and deepening the kiss.

Kaliyah gasped slightly as he pulled her back onto his lap. She had to admit, she liked that spot. One of her hands moved up through his hair as they continued to kiss. She gently moved against him and let her other hand press against his muscular chest.

His hands, stayed on her supple hip and the other splayed across the small of her back. He smiled into the kiss before pulling back. "As good as the first time Princessa?" He whispered, moving to kiss along her jaw.

Kaliyah nodded eagerly in response. She found herself groaning quietly as he began to kiss along her jawline. "Perhaps better than the first, actually." She murmured, her voice quavering a bit.

Roderick hummed against her skin. "Who would've thought." He pulled vack to look at her. He smiled.

Kaliyah returned a smile shakily. Her nerves were on edge but in a good way. "I... Sorry I don't.. Haven't ever... Done this sort of thing." She mumbled softly, glancing away whole blushing.

"It's alright Princessa. I wouldn't pressure you to do something you aren't comfortable with." He smiled and lifted her off his lap.

((Wanna skip to arrival at Barbados?))

((Sure!))

The shoreline began to appear on the horizon. Before long, they had docked and were taking their belongings off of the ship.

Kaliyah let one of the crew men carry her belongings as she gingerly made her way off of the ship. As she hit dry land, she stood a moment to catch her bearings

Roderick had been right. Barbados was beautiful. The tropical island was full of life. Green and vibrant with exotic bursts of color that could've been birds or plants. The water was a crystal blue and the people walked around in cotton clothes to keep the heat at bay. It was a paradise in short.

Roderick was right next to her, hand on her elbow. "Easy love. Takes a while to get your land legs back." He pressed a kiss to her temple before moving to heft up both his belongings and Kaliyah's.

"Come on. I believe I promised my fair lady a house on a hill.

Kaliyah nodded excitedly and allowed Rodrick to guide her through the town. The villagers cast them curious glances as well as smiles as they passed, and the princess returned them. They all seemed so friendly.

Before long, an extravagant house appeared in front of them. There were wild flowers dotting the landscape around them. A small horse trotted around a small paddock to the back of the house.

Roderick marched up to the door and opened up the front door. "Your new home Princessa." He smiled and gestured.

The foyer was large and a crystal chandelier hung from the vaulted ceiling. The floor was swirled black and white marble. The staircases led up to a balcony that overlooked the foyer before disappearing deeper into the house.

Kaliyah looked up in exasperation at the sheer beauty of the house. "My lord..." She muttered as she stepped forward to gingerly feel the ornate carvings in the side of the staircase.

"This place is beautiful, Rodrick. Where shall we deposit our things?" The princess asked as she moved closer to him with a charming smile.

"In our decadent bedroom of course. Follow me Princessa." He led the way up the staircase and down the corridor. Then up another staircase to one door that was dark cherry wood with gold filigree on the borders. He pushed it open.

Kaliyah stepped forward, he'd jaw dropped. The room was much more extravagant than her own had been back at the castle. "This is.. This is absolutely breathtaking." She exclaimed.

The princess turned to face Rodrick as she gently bit her lip and blushed. They would be sharing this room with it's beautiful decor and large bed...
"I feel like it is only appropriate to kiss you again."

Roderick chuckled and dropped their stuff at the foot of the bed. "I wouldn't be opposed." He teased, making no move to come closer. "I trust you like it?" He asked, eyes crinkling in amusement.

"It's wonderful, I love it." Kaliyah replied with an excited grin. She could most definitely spend the rest of her life here.

The princess smoothed a piece of her hair behind her ear and shyly glanced down at the ground. She wasn't confident to make the first move.

Roderick grinned. "Good. I had hoped you would. I bought this estate a while back...just waiting for an excuse to use it." He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her waist. He tipped her chin up to look at him and kissed her softly on the mouth.

Kaliyah smiled sweetly up at him and accepted the kiss. She could really get used to this. Her hand rested on Rodrick's arm as she pulled back to look up at his green eyes. "I don't suppose you had any plans for us tonight?" She whispered.

He shrugged. "Just a walk through town before dinner here at home. Unless you'd do something else? We have the whole day ahead of us." He smiled down at her. He was amazed, she looked like she was practically glowing. He was glad he could bring her such happiness with just a house. "Oh, I almost forgot. Before we go, the villagers have to believe we are married. So, I got us rings." He pulled them from his vest pocket.

Kaliyah took a hold of one of the rings and examined it, her blue eyes widening. "Rodrick," she looked up at him with astonishment, "This is gorgeous." She gasped.

The princess gently slid it onto her ring finger and moved it in the sunlight.
"You've really outdone yourself. I would have been perfectly content with just you and a run of the mill house, but thank you. I love it. All of it." She leaned up on her tip toes and kissed him gently once more. "And I love you."

Roderick's eyes widened. "Y-you love me?" He asked, the other ring still in his palm. H didn't know how to respond to that. If she said yes, he would make a true proposal right here, in their new bedroom.
