Of Shadows and Swords (Chiarra)

((Got some bugs to work out?))

Archer stepped forward quickly to keep Melody from hitting the ground and laughed softly. "Okay, so, the trick is to look at one point, probably me, and to turn your head to keep looking as long as possible, and when you can't anymore you turn your head quickly to see it again. That way you keep a focused point to keep you oriented."

((Evidently too much custom content. I'll get the game running, but soon after it will shut down saying it had stopped working and it's driving me nuts))

She nodded and then went to try again, looking into his eyes as she spun around three times without falter, and then stopped and smiled at him. "I can't keep it up for too long though."

((Does that mean too many mods? lol Maybe you need a faster computer or something?))

Archer laughed a little. "You'll get the hang of it." He shrugged. "Just don't spin too many times at once. You won't really be spinning on the rope, but you'll need to be able to manage dizziness and all that."

((No, not mods. There item meshes that people take from games and edit them so they look different but are still compatible with the game. And my computer has four core processor's in it so it's pretty fast. I just get download happy lol. I'm just going through and taking out the ones I don't like and hope that works. If not well, I guess I'm just screwed.))

She smiled at him and said, "Enough lessons for today. Let's dance?" She curtsied before him, letting him know she was wanting to do the formal dancing even without the music and held out her hand to him.

((Sounds like a mod to me. But yeah, I think you're basically screwed xD ))

Archer gave a put-upon sigh, then just took her hand and pulled her in to him, grinning. "All right, but I haven't done ballroom in a while. I may trip and drag you down with me."

((I tried mods before, those screwed my game up even more. With custom content I can still install expansion packs, with mods, I had to uninstall all my games and re-install them just to get the new expansion pack to install. Anyways, it's painful enough to just have to uninstall some of it, if I had to go without all of it I'd probably just not play the game again and wait for sims 4 to come out lol))

She laughed and said, "I think I can live with that." She kissed him softly before leading the dance.

((That's probably a good idea if it keeps messing up. Although, I don't know when 4 comes out, so that could be a painful wait, potentially))

He smiled a little and laughed, pulling her back the way he felt like going. "Hey, hey," He scolded, trying not to laugh again. "I'm the man, remember? I lead. I haven't forgotten how to lead."

((It's actually available for pre-order now, so excited lol))

She just stuck her tongue out at him playfully and said, "Fine, you lead then."

((Finished, but won't know if it'll work until at least tomorrow because I don't feel like playing it right now lol))

She laughed some more and followed his lead, getting lost in their movements.
((Going away for a bit))

((kk bye))

When they finally stopped they were both a little breathless and laughing softly and Archer just leaned his head against Melody's. "We should go back. We'll be moving again soon."

((Still gone))

She nodded and kissed him again. "That and I'm sure they're worried about us." She backed away from him reluctantly and picked up their dishes, intending to bring them back to the kitchen tent.

Archer laughed a little as they started walking back. "That or they think I've done inappropriate things while we're away and someone will be waiting to bash my face in." He gave a wink and a grin. "It'd be a shame to lose something this pretty."

"Inappropriate?" she asked him, not sure exactly what he meant by that. She laughed at his last comment though.

((I think I made her too painfully innocent lol))

((And he's too painfully not xD ))

Archer just smiled and hooked his arm through hers and ignored her question with the ease of someone used to lying, tricking and slipping through loopholes all his life. When they reached the tents, there were a few looks but not too many, and Archer just gave Melody a little tug. "Come on. Let's go find Lucius and tell him we're not dead." And not defiled. He thought, but didn't add it out loud.

((Lol, the perfect couple xD ))

"You go," she told him. "I'm just going to make a little trip to put these up and then I'll catch up to you." She leaned up and kissed him briefly before going her own way. After she did what she said she was going to do, she went out looking for Archer and Lucius both.

Archer, after convincing Lucius of his - relative - innocence, only sat down to play a game of cards with him, and smiled a little when Melody came over. He waved her on closer and just kept talking. "So, I'm trying to teach her how to really dance. It's going to take while."

Lucius shrugged. "It'll keep you both busy."

She sat down with them and smiled a bit. "It will, though I can't wait to actually try on the tight rope. So...what are you guys playing?" she asked, watching them.

Archer shook his head. "That is a long time off."

Lucius only shrugged. "It's just an old card game Aaric taught us. We can teach you, if you'd like. It's more fun with three people."

"I know," she said to Archer and then looked back at Lucius. "I would love to." She smiled at him happily.

Lucius smiled, happy as always to include others in little activities he'd learned as a child, and scooted over to make room for her in the little half circle they could now form. "The rules aren't very hard. It's just a child's game, but it keeps us busy when we're bored." And it reminded him of home.

She nodded and payed attention to what he told her and it wasn't long before she understood and actually won her first game. "I win!" she smiled happily.

Archer made a pouting face like he was sad he'd lost, but Lucius just laughed. "New to the game and besting us already. Congratulations."
