Of Shadows and Swords (Chiarra)

She gratefully took his help in standing up and said, "How can you stand on the front of your feet?" She wasn't complaining about the fact it was hard, she just didn't understand how to do it.
 
Archer thought a moment and took off his shoes, then just stepped back and leaned up on his toes and the front part of his foot. "It's not too hard to do, only hard to hold for a long period of time. If you point your toes while you're dancing, it will actually make you feel more balanced and graceful."


((I gotta go help my mom run a couple errands, so Ill probably disappear for a bit))

She smiled and giggled a bit and said, "Holding it is the part I'm asking about. How do you do it?" She tried once more, but wound up falling back on her feet once more.
 
Archer smiled a little sheepishly and just went back to her again. "Okay, well, try it again and ill see if I can get your posture right."
 
Archer out a hand on her back and n her shoulder, straightening her enough her shoulders were back, then glanced down at her legs. "I think the problem is that you need to build up the muscle for it. You've been rather pampered, Melody, and your legs aren't as strong as they could be. Just . . . When youre idle, just tap your toes, like you're listening to music. It'll get a bit sore, but it'll strengthen the muscles that walking doesn't so much affect.
 
"I can do that," she said smiling. "In fact...I think I'm going to have to do that before we can continue," she giggled a bit more. She turned around to face him, slowly leaning in for a kiss.
 
Archer glanced at Melody in time to see what she was doing and meet her halfway, canting his head a bit to the side so that their lips could meet more easily. "I'm starting to think you failed on purpose," he said, smiling a bit just centimeters from her lips. "Just so you could make me come closer..
 
((I gotta go make dinner, so I won't reply for a while, but just warning you I won't be on much, if at all, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.))


Archer smirked faintly and just kissed her again. "Then I would be very, very proud."

She kissed him back, smiling. "Then I had." Her arms wrapped around his neck as she kissed him for a third time.
 
Archer laughed and just put his arms around her to help her keep up at his height without straining her feet. "You know," He said between kisses, "If we practiced like this, you'd learn to stay on your toes in no time."


((Ugh, so tired. Might just sleep now))

She smiled and bit her lip at that. "I just might," she said smiling at him some more, unable to help it. "I'm glad you are friends with Lucius," she said softly.
 
"Hm?" He kissed her once more and then just pulled back enough to look at her, smiling faintly. "And why would that be?"
 
She kissed him back and smiled at him. "Because," she said putting her forehead against his, which was easy since he was holding her up on her tip toes. "We never would have met."
 
She gave an exaggerated eye roll and huffed a bit. "No," she said. "I do not. In fact, I even had a tiny crush on him before I met you."
 
Archer winced, looking back at her with a faint laugh. "Oh, fine. I guess we're even then." That was another thing he really didn't want to talk about. One did not speak of one's ex-lady friend(s) with one's current lady friend.
 
She saw him wince a bit and she sighed softly. "That's all in the past though," she said. She smiled at him once more. "Right now, how about that dance?"
 
((Sorry, in like ten rps right now and watching a movie))


Archer stepped back and smiled a little, shaking his head. "Oh, fine. Let's try again, all right? For now we'll work on spinning, since it'll help you learn how not to get dizzy."
 
((It's okay, busy messing with my sims 3 game, trying to get it to work and stay working))


She nodded and stood up on her toes, straining a bit to stay on them, but she managed. She started to spin and was able to keep it up for a few minutes, but then she stepped wrong and fell.
