HiAndromon is a good choice, but when we get closer to that time,I want to see if I can maybe decide on a different option.

The reasoning behind my choice of rookie and digivolutions was to use an inexpressive, manufactured Digimon to highlight that Lucy doesn't have any connection to it and views it only as a tool, and will have to connect to it despite that in order for them to survive and unlock its potential. Maybe the final digivolution will be something that highlights that,as permitted by existing media.

What about Valkryimon?

The partner is a plot device. I like that. Well developed plan in my opinion.

Page 7 and counting. On that note, I propose my next query to the group. Someone else has put forth their personal development for their characters. Let's keep that train going.

I'll start.

My theme is going to be "Moving forward."

As mentioned before Shelly feels stagnant. She just kind of does whatever someone tells her as opposed to making her own choice. Consider it cowardly and maybe Dukemon is the proverbial "Knight in shining armor" in literal fashion. (That wasn't intentional might I add. That also may be a very long reach.) But she's definitely going to become a whole lot braver through the trials. (Just don't whip out Dokugumon on me G.M. I hate spiders. I will cry. T_T)

Noted and saved for later. Thank you.

Also as far as Jung In goes, in the sense of personal plotting, he is going to be a character going from darkness to the light and sort of mixing in the darkness. That's all I can say without fully spoiling anything.

Duality is a good theme. Coming to terms with how one interperets spirituality is something every person needs, I feel. I can see why your compelled for Tsukaimon to start and ending with Justimon. I would even go so far as to say maybe you should have been the one to get Beelzemon given our earlier talks. That's actually mad deep.

Oooo, character arcs are fun!!!

Cyra's theme is .... opening up? A psuedo redemption arc perhaps? She definitely "plays the villain" a lot, acting cruel and reveling in the way she lords over her competitors. While she loves doing so, it makes it hard for her to keep any long term relationships. Part of her arc is learning to be kinder, to consider other's emotions more and to realize she can be more than the antagonist of some sports drama.

That's part of the reason I'm on the fence about her Mega. Going full dark would fit her vibe, but having the final form be a proper angel fits with how she's supposed to grow. I'd also loooove to play with the fact her partner('s line) kind of fits in w the main antagonist group and how that might confirm the way Cyra sees herself or even lead her to believe her fate (hah) isn't as heroic as the rest of the group.

But she's definitely going to get nicer as time goes on, no matter how the rest of it all plays out.

Hmm...For Katsuyori maybe allowing himself to express his "feelings"? I mentioned in his back story he shuts himself in and just observes people interaction not because he's scared but because he doesn't know how. the few times he did he got beat up by some bullies and mocked by adults. And the few times he did express some sort of "feeling" he got in a fight with other students (which he handled swiftly but also pushed other students away cause of how "scary" he looked). So I guess being told it's ok to just feel regardless of how others see it would be his character arc? (cheesy I know, this is off the dome so maybe something else/ better will pop up)

Lol I just had this scene play in my head where his father figure passes away and he's standing by the river and some one tells him it's ok to mourn and he just breaks down.

Honestly, one has to save themselves before being a hero for others. There is no shame in selfishness in that regard.

Funny thing about Lilithmon if you go the full dark route. The way I understood her story was she was A Ophanimon originally. She fell trying to save something as is referenced in the movies when Gatomon and Meicoomon fuse for Ordinemon. Ophanimon took Fall Down Mode before getting the real form. Even in darkness she showed compassion for another soul. Meicoomon who went berserk.

That's why I went for Tsukaimon as the rookie and Devidramon as the champion. To incorporate the theme of darkness while ending on Justimon being the "light".

I feel that this also hits deep. We definitely jamming now. We can cry together. C:

Asami and Gaomon are alike in many waysβ€”they're achievement-driven, goal-oriented perfectionists who thrive on challenges they feel capable of overcoming. However, they both harbor a deep fear of being useless, worthless, or unsuccessful. Constantly striving to be the best versions of themselves, they find their progress hindered by this fear. When faced with failure, they tend to withdraw, frustrated and disheartened when things inexplicably go wrong despite their efforts. Asami takes failing the group and Gaomon hard and Gaomon feels he's let his partner down and that his strength and fighting ability isn't good enough.

Through mutual support and a deeper understanding of one another, they help bolster each other's confidence and learn that even in their moments of imperfection, they can rely on each other-- there are no conditions needing to be met by the other in a sort of transactional sense. Their bond teaches them that true worth isn’t defined by success or failure, but by their inherent value as individuals just as they are. They are enough, flaws and all and being there for each other is their greatest strength. Their friendship is built on unconditional loyalty and sincere care, becoming a foundation of reassurance for both. Over time, they come to realize that their connection isn't about achieving perfect results every time, but about standing by each other no matter what. Failure doesn't splinter them but brings them together and with a howling roar, they can face any threat together.

This is THE mood. To be honest Idk how many times I recited this same mantra in my head. "Just don't be useless." It never really is that simple.

It's funny how often Minervamon came up, because that's actually my current first plan, hahah. It's that (eventually into Merva/Jet Merva maybe), Dianamon, and then Anubimon and Baihumon.
In that order of preference, though my mind isn't 100% set just yet. I β€Šdo absolutely know that I'll go for Sangloupmon as my Champ. Honestly any one (except maybe Baihu) could work really well off of Naru, with Minerva needing her to be kept in check, the obvious moon themes with Diana, and the impartial nature of Anubis' judgement that she could develop, or have developed, if only she had gone a slightly different route.

As for Naru herself...I don't have β€Šthat much planned for the near future quite yet, beyond maybe finding new ways to find, recognize, and remember others. Perhaps finishing up the path she's already been on, and finding a way to make her voice heard no matter what it's about.
She wants to be "herself", though it's hard to really define "who" that could be, doubly so when you have to settle in on "one self" to be from then on. So, that's something to work on, for sure. Finding something that makes her stand out no matter what, while not making her be alone.
As for short term motivations, well, keeping all this digital interference from reaching the physical world and having an effect on the launch Mr Takahashi will be on is definitely a big one!

Late to the party, BUT...

Renamon βž” Kyubimon βž” Taomon βž” Sakuyamon.

Renamon is my favorite Digimon so I gave it to Keith. πŸ˜‚

Regarding character arc, one of Keith's defining features is overcoming the grief of losing his mother. Both his parents died and the cause of death is going to be explored. Keith will make a few startling discoveries that will leave him REELING. My characters are never safe. I love angst too much. πŸ˜‡

Side note, Keith is a guiding light. It's going to be challenged. 🀭

LMAO. Love the pun. πŸ˜‚

Sangloupmon is fantastic. I love Dracmon's line.

A goal achievable is always found through self discovery. Scream this truth to the heavens I'll be with you. It'll be like the one laughing scene with Tidus and Yuna in FF X

Baseline for Renamon is also great. Hit them with the Amythyst Mandala Effect. They won't know how the world works.

Parental loss is heavy. Equally so not knowing one's own history. You will be doomed to repeat it. We think nothing if one becomes alcoholic at a bar. What if we went there every week and met the same guy who has similar interests. An even more odd fate if that just so happens to be our Dad but we'd never know.

These are great prompts guys. Every single one of you. C:

Crazy thing is...if that DID happen to Katsuyori...he'd probably glass him. He's not a violent person but considering what he went through for 8 years of his life, no one could blame him if he doesn't welcome his dad with open arms.

Then again...maybe that's the true test to show he moved up. Instead of glassing him he'll probably take one last shot with the man (will refuse to call him dad) and just walk out
