Fandom Odyssey of Power

Alrighty Boss. Sounds great to me. And I can work in whatever you would like me to. Just let me know.

And I imagine this animosity stems from differing philosophies and interpretations? Despite valuing and wanting similar things.

And shall make the meeting happen. That will be easy.

Do as you will. Once Whig has begun the fight with Il (as I will call her from now on) and Fae has responded to Era, I will put us on the planet and turn over the beginning of the conversation to you.

Just entered a couple pieces of music to Music Pipeline's International Music Competition. I don't hold any delusions about actually placing, but all entrants receive notes on their submissions from industry professionals so it's going to be awesome! Please wish me luck guys!

All the luck in the world from one creative professional to another
I'm no professional, but I'll take the kind words anyway. Thank you very much!

@Kyero I was wondering as Im sure im about to get my teeth kicked in super hard... might you help me better understand this leveling system

Basically the part that had me for a slight loss is this, I know you get a value for fighting in general based on whether they are stronger, even, or weaker. so blah times your power leverl. Then there are the specific injury numbers. Are those added to the first number before multiplication? The example saddly could have used a breakdown and a before and after number

It's actually more simple than the numbers make it out to be. Take the number that you want from the result of the battle (victory, loss), add it to the number(s) of whatever other injuries you suffer.

As an example, consider the following scenario:

1) Era vs. Blah

- Result = Victory Over Superior Enemy

- Because it's a victory over a superior enemy, I can choose any number between 2.5 and 5. I will base that number on how many injuries she suffers. The more injuries, the higher within that range I can go. So I will use 4.4, reasons why will become obvious in just a second.

2) Injuries

- She receives five large gashes on her back from her enemy because it had five fingers which were all claws and raked her just missing her spine, meaning that she gets (0.022x5) or 1.1 for simplicity's sake.

- She receives two hairline fractures to the wrist (although location of bone does not matter), meaning she gets a further (.018)

- She receives seven individual breaks along the length of her left arm and leg, adding (0.55)

- She receives damage to her pectoral muscles as well as her biceps and triceps in the arm where the breaks happened, for a total of three damages major muscle groups which comes to (.35x3), or 1.05.

3) Add it ALL up

- Era's battle scenario and injuries all come out to an accumulated multiplication of 7.118, rounded down to 7.1

And that's it. The result of the multiplier is applied to the character after they are fully recovered.

It can be a bit tedious at first glance to have to figure all this out, but once you know exactly what you want to happen all you have to do is look at the numbers I provided in the Mechanics page and add them all together. The easiest way I found to do that is on a document on your desktop. Copy and paste the calculations to it, so it's easier than searching through the Mechanics for it every time.

One last thing to please take note of is that in this RP your recovery does not guarantee you'll be able to use 100% of that newfound power. For example, it took Era over a week to fully adjust to her 84,000 power level from her previous limit of 11,200.

well of course I can understand that. I mean even a week is impressively fast and if I do get a power boost from this im likely to have it tare my character a part if she tries to use it in haste. But that was alot more simple to understand than the example in mechanics thank you

so @Kyero if you ever have need of another enemy Selkie is available and I can play him if you like

I'll keep it in mind. Thanks.

so guess no story advancement tonight :(
It's all right. I know we had a good run of it lately but remember that King is usually a busy bee so it's not too often that he gets online to make regular posts.

The pace will be somewhat erratic for a while, so I hope you understand.

I work and sleep. Lol that sums up my daily activities. I normally.make my posts at work.

For smaller RPs I can use my phone to post. And also use it for OOC and to keep my eye on what is going on.

For Kyero's RPs I try to use my computer so I can put in the deserving amount of quality.

But since both interactions required from me are not very demanding, I might try a quick post once the wife and kids go to bed. Or risk attempting posting from my phone.

BTW... the majority of my typos are because I have big fingers and my phone has tiny buttons.

An ailment we share my friend. Haha!

ohh I understand I am not mad in the slightest just got super excited lol. That's all I understand the ways of real life

And I still must find time to post for the Character Challenge. *bangs head against the wall*

Thank you boss.

I am a loyal kyeroRP player. So I am not going to run off. I will get a post out. Kyero just seems to attract the busiest people lol.

But don't worry Tulani. I won't let all your excitement go to waste :)

@Natevess I find over my time rping if you compare your posts to others and try desperatly to match them in length and context you kinda just take yourself out of the rp. I know Im not that great and have typo/grammer issues but I just have fun with it. I thought your post was good especially since your character had no direct external influence interacting withhim at the moment

Alright, thanks.

@Natevess and @Tulani, don't worry about it you guys. Seriously.

As the GM, I have to ensure that my posts are over detailed. If I don't make it as obvious as possible, things can be misinterpreted and then we have an OOC "please change this" or "please get rid of that" debate which is never fun. So yeah. The main reason my posts are as detailed as they are is because I am the GM and I consider it my job to make sure that all the detail in the world can be found in my posts.

If I weren't the GM, I wouldn't be pushing myself to write quite this much. There'd still be a good amount of content, but not nearly as much as what you've seen from me thus far.

So don't worry about it. Just worry about responding in a way that's meaningful to your characters.

Sound good?
