NinJa StYLe

Xander brought the water cannister to her and opened it up. "Here" He said putting it in front of her. Was she sick? Xander had never experienced this before and didn'r realize that he had to unwrap any kind of eggroll.

(Stupid. She rolled herself into an egg roll with her blanket. :P )

Jay drank up the water greedily and gasped for air as she finished the whole flask. "I-I'm fine.. Or will b-be," she stuttered trying to maintain her voice. The dream was a blur now but she knew what she saw. It was scary. More frightening than cleaning the village's public bathrooms. "W-Why are you still up?" She asks looking up to him.

"I was asleep but you woke me up" Xander answered boticing the various facial expressions Jay was creating on her face. "Are you sure though? You need me to call someone?" He asked.

"N-No! Don't call anyone! I-I'm fine!" She frantically looks up at him with pleading eyes. If Kane knew, it would be bad. He wanted his daughter to grow up without any fears and a simple little dream- or as he called it, was just a pitiful shame to his reputation.

Xander looked around, "Fine". "Can you stand up?" He continued shifting his gaze to her. Could she roll her way to bed or walk back over? Or did he have to carry her again?

Jay shakily stood up and fell painfully on her knees. Well that failed. She definitely didn't want Xander helping her but there was no choice. She just needed him to lend her a hand to get back to the oh-so-far bed. "Err can you help me up?" She asked biting her bottom lip.

Xander blinked a couple of times and pulled her blanket away from her. He slung the material over his shoulder. As he remained silent, Xander picked Jay up bridal style again and laid her onto her bed. He yanked the blanket off his shoulder then put it over her. His hands adjusted the position of the blanket a bit.

"Err thanks..." Her face was beet red from embarrassment. She couldn't believe she had asked such a stupid favor. "Umm there's a spare blanket in the cabinet over there. You can take it if you like." Jay points to a wooden cabinet at the edge of her bed. Not long after, she drifted back off into a dreamless sleep.

Jay woke to the sound of loud clanging. Keade ran into the room like a madman. "ALISTAIR, VASACAR WAKE UP! FOOD IS READY!" He bang two pans against each other in hopes of waking the two up knowing little of what happened last night. Jay grumpily rolled over on her side and threw a pillow at him. "Shut uuuup," she groaned. The aching pain from her body had lessened but the feeling of wanting to sleep didn't. Keade saw and pushed her off onto the cold bare floor.

"WAHHH!" The redhead squeaked and jumps up. "I'm awake!" He smiles in victory and bows knowing his job is finished.

Jay grumps as Keade left and went to wake Xander up using normal methods rather than clanging pots. She poured cold after onto his face.

Xander's eyes shot open, "AAAAHHH!" He flipped up and glared at Jay. "WHAT?!" The teen glared. It would do wonders for many people if they were awaken properly. Xander shivered then looked around. Great, now he would have to walk around with a wet shirt for a while. No problem though right? It would wake him up more.

Jay laughs feeling slightly guilty for having poured water on the boy. She walks over to her closet and threw one of Keade's shirt to Xander. "Its washed, Keade left it lying around the floor and it looks about as big as you," she explained. "Not like I care about you or anything." (Omfg a tsun!) She walks out beckoning him to follow towards a bigger housing area where food was laid. Kane was seated, waiting for his daughter and guest. Jay awkwardly sat down next to her father who gave them a sickly smile. "Welcome Vasacar."

Xander grumpily wore the shirt and followed Jay. While he followed her, Xander forced himself to lighten up. He walked in a sat down at a seat, "Hello Kane".

Kane still held his smile. "How is your family?" he asked. Thoughts of killing the boy raced through his mind but he pushed them out of the way. He needed Xander to do his biddings. Jay shifted uneasily in her seat, sensing the dark aura radiating off the two- or was it just Kane?

"Horrible" Xander responded bluntly keeping eye contact with Kane. There was no ulterior motive behind his short response. Actually there was one...he just wanted to see Kane's reaction. Xander never said that his family was doing horrible. They were pretty okay most of the time.

Jay shifted her gaze to Xander. Didn't he say his family was doing fine last night? She mentally shrugs knowing his motive as to why he was acting the way he was.

"Oh, is that right?" Kane smirks. "Follow me Xander." He stood up and walks out to where the fields were. It was where Carolyn was buried. She had loved the meadows so he had her grave there. Jay sat rooted to her spot not sure as to follow or stay put. She decides to go with the latter since it was a safer approach.

Xander followed Kane. Why was he being brought there exactly? Has the time come for Kane to take Xander's life? Well this was good bye. "Okay Kane. Do as you must" Xander said stopping at the meadow.

Kane looks at Xander weirdly before chuckling. "No boy, you're worth more to me than revenge. I see Jay's put you to good use with the students, yes?" He stares up at the sky. "Jay had a rough life. She was left without a mother and I'm only making her life more miserable but you, you can change that." Kane turns back around to face Xander and hands him a piece of parchment. "Find Ashe and bring him to me alive. Take Jay with you. That is all. You may leave at dusk." Kane swiftly turns around and left, knowing his daughter was in good hands.

Xander was speechless. Did Kane just tell him to team up with Jay to find Ashe? Yes. WHAT?! Xander looked around and walked back to wherever Jay was. "I suppose your father already told you what's going on?" Xander asked fixing his shirt. Actually it was Keade's shirt, but it was made of a different material than Xander's usual outfit.

"Tell me what?" she asked cocking her head in confusion. Kane hardly tells her anything these days- she always had to figure out what was happening.

"We're finding Ashe" Xander said walking back to Jay's quarters and picking up his dried up shirt jacket thing. He quickly took Keade's shirt off and wore his own.

"We are?" A glint passed through her eyes and she mentally squealed. They were going to get killed by her brother! Yay.

Jay took out her bag and began packing the few necessities they needed for the trip. Some food, water, clothes, and weapons. Yes, weapons are a definite need. She felt for her twin daggers and strapped on her spear. "Ready?"

Xander looked at Jay and nodded, "I didn't really bring much you know...getting kidnapped in my sleep and all". He paused, "I could get my suit back at the camp though". His gaze shifted back at her, "You probably won't let me huh?"

"If it means so much to you then I guess we can get it," she hesitantly said eyeing him suspiciously. Jay still wasn't sure she can trust Xander but if her father let him go on this mission alone with her then she could cut him some slack. "But hurry up though. He wants us gone by sunset."

Xander nodded and dashed away. He climbed a tree and began hopping through various branches. It took him a while to master that mode of forest transportation. He used to fall a lot. In no time Xander was able to arrive at his camp and pull a bag over him which carried his ninja suit. He darted his way back to Jay. "Ready Ma'am" Xander said.
