Fantasy mythical kingdom

A cold wind blew in from the window, pushing the guards by the dice game against the wall. A dark form rushed in with the cold blast of wind, landing on the guard who first investigated the window, and the candle went out. The only light was the light of the moon that filtered through the window. The dark form stood, the guard it landed on lying still on the ground, and drew its sword. A flame blasted forth from the blade, causing the remaining two guards to sprawl against the wall in fear. The fire revealed a black-clad figure.

"You see the futility of light, now? The shadows eventually envelops it all." He swung his sword at the guards.

Four guards stood at the gate.

Four guards died at the gate.

Cheri walked behind all of her big brothers, as they rushed past the girl welcoming the guests. She smiled at her and waved. She must have been the princess. She walked up to her and curtsied. "Hello. Excuse my brothers. They do not care much for manners." She said looking at her brothers flirting with each different girl in the room. "My name is Cheri Battle-blood." She said glancing back to the princess.

@ashlyn heckman

Drago watched as the mass of unruly guests plundered past the princess into the elegant ballroom, and saw the girl that followed them. He watched her as the strode in. She didn't look bad. He decided. Maybe he would get to dance with her before the night ended. He liked the sound of that, but duty came first, as he turned back to gaze over the rest of the assembled guests.

Ah, and they failed to inform her of the ball. And they say we have the most efficient labour circulation. With a deadpan, Graham looked ahead and began his walk back toward the archway he came from when Sky complied with his gesture. It was much too late to get her dolled up in time, and seeing how his father was about being prompt to any occasion -be it formal or casual- he couldn't afford to take his time either. Luckily for him, he only needed to take a quick bath, comb back his hair and slip into his royal uniform. Nothing much more than that, really. Upon hearing her question about who was welcome, he subconsciously slowed his stride before quickly glancing back at her. That was true, but who was really taking count at this point? At any rate, she was his company and no one would dare question it, no one aside from his mother and father but he chose to believe they weren't nearly as stiff about these things as people expected them to be. "Of course. You'll be my guest, I hardly believe anyone would have a problem with it as my say-so." He replied with a shrug. Walking the rest of the way in silence, he led her toward the staircase leading up to the sleeping chambers and released her. After sending a group of wandering lady's maid to take Sky back up to her room and help her prepare, he waved them off and retreated for his own room after informing her that he'd pick her up at the lobby.

[Hah! They have some shite security.
xD ]

I giggled a little bit " my name is Blackwood Ryan Blackwood. And do not worry about I have a brother myself and he can be quite annoying" I said giving her a smile

"Phew!" She exhaled. "That's a relief. I was worried that you would throw us out. My parents say I'm the only civilized one in the family." She mumbled. "Very nice to meet you." She smiled. "She stood next to her and bit her lip. "Is it alright if I stay out here and greet guests with you too? I don't have many civilized friends at home." She said smiling.

"Oh." Cheri said tilting her head. "Who? Do you have someone special your hoping to dance with?" She asked nudging her arm.

I laughed a bit "something like that "after awhile of waiting I sigh in relief thinking now that he was just playing with me.

Drago walked up to Cheri, trying not to be too forward. "My lady." He said to her, bowing. "Will you dance with me?" He asked.

Sky nodded in response to his words, seemingly content with his explanation that she should be alright even if she wasn't really invited as such. She was escorted up to her room by they made her look presentable in more formal clothes than she had been in, in a honesty all this thought of a ball excited her, seeing as she dosent really remember what they are like exactly. With a bright smile on her face she made her way to where she had been told to go.

((Sorry multitasking x-x))

Seeing her going to dance with someone made me miss Jason I wished he was here to dance with but I also remember that we broke you grew sad but I tried to act happy so no one would notice

Drago grinned and took Cheri by the hand, leading her towards the dancing floor. "So where are you from?" He asked, trying to spark up a conversation.

Cheri followed him inside and turned towards him as he asked the question. "Oh... It's an island near the mainland. Not too popular, and extremely small." She mumbled as she linked both hands with his.

Cheri blushed again and danced with him. "So where are you from?" She asked looking down, to make sure she didn't step on his feet.

"From a town called Hamloft. Same as Sir Cain over there." He gestured with his chin to the straight-backed man standing next to the king.

(is everyone at the ball, and interacting?)

(gocha)

Cain watched Drago as he danced with the foreign girl, and grinned slightly. The boy had been pretty good with the ladies last Cain remembered. His silent mirth vanished as the king clapped his hands once, gathering the attention of all the nobles present.

Cheri glanced at the man standing by the king. "He seems... Friendly." She said giving a small wave to the man. She looked up at the man she was dancing with and smiled. "I never got your name. I'm Cheri battle-blood."

"Welcome, citizens of the Light Kingdom!" The king began, sweeping his hands out wide to encompass the entire ballroom. "You have been gathered here, because I have an important announcement to make."

The nobles all began to murmur amongst themselves in apprehension.

@Queen of Fantasy "My name is Drago Afandel." He said. Then the king clapped his hands, drawing their attention.

"As you all know, my son, Graham is the heir to my throne. But my kingdom has grown, and now I believe it must have two rulers to properly function. Therefore-" He said, and was interrupted as all the chandeliers abruptly went out.

"No no. Continue. Therefore, what?" A voice said from the raptors. None of the assembled nobles could see the speaker, then a light flared in the middle of the room. A harsh red glow that lit up the entire chamber.
