Fandom My Little Pony Frontier

Lavender Moon Nodded with an approving smile " Now we are all together as one ja? I wish I could do more for all of you, but my time is short, and have spent more then i had to spare."

Steelheart finally spoke up asking " Your leaving us? but we.. I need you. "

She clung to her sister like a scared filly, but Lavender Moon simply replied " min Syster, you have many friends who care about you. Weather you know it or not, you are a strong mare now. and one day you will have to stand on your own four hooves."

As she nuzzled Steelheart, Lavender Moon said " I have to go now.. If I stay to long, the Mayor may suspect I am going back on our deal. Still, I'm glad I could see you again."

With that, she disappeared into a violet cloud of smoke and sparkling light causing Steelheart to fall to the dirt.

And there she sat pitifully searching for her with eyes that couldn't see even if she was there.

Lavender Moon had left to see the mayor, but would she be alright on her own?

Fang retrieved her cloak, using her wings to help drape it back over her form. No sense in drawing unwanted attention to them. She glanced at the remaining three ponies before giving a slight nod. "We should head back into town," she said turning away. "<I don't trust that cowardly snake,>" she said quietly to Indicus as she passed him. None of the others would have been able to understand her words.

Indicus nodded then went to Steelheart and got down and gently put a hoof on her shoulder "Steelheart. Shadow Fang, Shina and I are here for you and I think that I can safely speak for all of us when I say that in less then a day that you have grown on us and we are happy to call you a friend. Even so as cliche as it sounds your sister will always be with you in your mind and heart." Indicus nodded and chuckled at the storybook cliche line that was as true as it was overused.

"Hai" Shina agreed softly as she stepped over to Steelheart. Leaning her head down she tried to gently nudge the flutterpony to hey feet. "I'm sure we'll see your sister at the festival before she leaves." Shina offered to try and lift her new friend's spirits some.

A faint smile began to grow across Steelhearts face as her new friends came to her help.

trying to match their determination she agreed- "Your right."

Taking whatever help she could get to rise to her feet she continued- " I Have great friends, and faith that everything will turn out right in the end"

She could feel a few hairs tickling her face again as she dusted herself off. "Awe, I'm sorry Shina. after you took so long to do my mane"

Fang silently led the way back towards town, her mind going over the various scenarios that could break out. Finally, she glanced over her shoulder. "Indikus, mu fend tinvaak." (Indicus, we should speak) She called to him in their own tongue. Out of the group the two of them were easily the oldest and most experienced. She needed that experience to bounce ideas and potential plans back and forth before discussing it with the entire group. She wasn't about to blindly lead them into danger.

As the two older pony spoke Steelheart leaned on Shina as they all walked.

This was as much for emotional support as physical .

As the two began to speak amongst themselves Steelheart ask "Shina, do you really think things are as bad as my sister says. I know your all new here, but you've seen..encountered, more then me."

With a short gasp she interrupted herself asking "do you think mr.Firecracker is ok?"

Shina giggled a little at Steelheart's apology as she moved the hair back in to place with one of her fore hooves. "Don't worry about it." She said sweetly. Walking back Shina allowed Steelheart to lean against her, making sure the blind flutterpony avoided any obstacles that might of tripped her.

Her ears perked at the mention of Firecracker. Was there really something so dangerous that she needed to worry about him at the moment? Would there really be some kind of attack so soon? "I'm sure he's busy preparing the fireworks display for later this afternoon." She answered brightly trying to maintain an upbeat demeanor. "We could probably check in on him though." She added. She was eager to see him again, maybe her could help him with setting up or something.

@KageYuuki

Indicus fell right beside Fang "Fos praad hi, Vukon Iisk?" <What do you need Shadow Fang?> It was odd to speak the tongue of his people after so many years of not using it very often but he was able to easily recall the language.

Even though she knew the others couldn't understand them, she kept her voice low perhaps out of pure habit. "<Bronjun..." Crimson hues shifted over to her fellow bat pony. "<Zu'u dreh ni ov mok. Enook rot nol zahrsepraken lost ahney hef vahzen uv geblaan nok." Her eyes darkened the more she thought on it. "Nii los baarkei rok dreh ni ofaal nor zeim delaal fosoth. Zii aal lost bo yah nahkriin fah gahrot do nor. Mu praaga wahl mein."

(The Mayor... I do not trust him. I'm certain you feel the same. Every word from that snake's mouth has either been a half truth or a complete lie. It's obvious he didn't get this land through honest means. That spirit may have come seeking revenge for the theft of this land. We need to create a plan.)

Indicus nodded, "Zu'u rolur bronjun ofaan ni vahzen. Zii kent kos nahkei ahst fos korosaan arhk fos fen koros. Ol fah redraan fah bo strun... Diist, fod mu vis, ofaal ruth bronjun funa mii vahzen. Ruz ofun fos mu mindos voreyye. Waan rok los yeh vorgahvon laana, zu'u vis fus mok tinvaaka." The last sentence reflected some sort of past experience that he would rather stay in the past.

<I agree the mayor has not given the truth. The spirit must be furious at what has happened and what will happen. As for preparing for the coming storm... First, when we can, we get the damn mayor to tell us the truth. Then we share what we learn with the others. If he is too resistant to questioning, I can force him to talk.>

Fang gave a short nod. "Zu'u nalkun tinvaak voth mok ont, laat vulon ko vahzen." She shook her head, "Thraat rok lost gemaarr mahzahda do hefvaak med kip, rok kriistt naal tey tol nor lost ofaal zeim paaz krolurend." She gave a disgusted snort, "Ko ok rotte, 'vogaan kerffe vis bir nahlot ahrk kolovend nol orin zok kruziik malkey." A distasteful line that clearly showed his true nature to her. "Tozein ko ok nokke. Zu'u onvok voth reistig rok fon uful do hahvoth ofaal." She looked back at Indicus, "Kruziik ahrk vokul zii tol fent du kun ahrk komah lein vulom. Vosod nor los dran do gaarii."

(I already talked with him once, last night actually. Even though he was terrified to the point of stammering like a fool, he stuck by the story that this place was acquired through a fair deal. In his words though, 'a few coins can buy silence and compliance from even the most primitive of pony.' An error in his lies. I'll admit he certainly seemed concerned of the warning he received. And ancient and evil spirit that shall devour the light and plunge the world into darkness. Exploiting the land is the cause of its release.)

Indicus chuckled, "Druv fund rok kos hahvoth no fah naav? Rul boha hok, rok saan lein. Nii trun ni. Rok lost sos trukke zu'u tolaan kindoka ahrk zu'u sukah tinvaaka voth mok."

<Why would he be concerned not for the warning? When it comes to pass, he loses everything. It matters not. He has some things I desire to know and I intend to talk with him.>

Fang nodded, "Mu los do gein thu'um. Waan hi tolaan, zu'u fent frey." The bat pony's eyes had turned back onto the road ahead. They didn't have much time, but they had to gather info.

(I understand. If you desire, I shall assist.)

Thunder and Kadje pranced out into Equinox after what seemed to be a long hiatus of work. They had to run back to saddle Arabia rather abruptly to help repair damages after an awful sand storm that lasted for days. Luckily all ended well, no one got hurt and everything was back to normal so the prince and his right hand man could go back to their quaint get away town.

Sadly while there, thunder had gotten into a bit of an altercation involving a rowdy pony with a shop lifting problem and had some bandages wrapped around his ribs from where he was kicked, but the shoplifter got the worst end of the deal. Thunder was a big pony... Not even a pony, he was actually half horse. The pony that had kicked him was a full head shorted and about a hundred pounds lighter, all he could do was bruise thunder... Thunder had reared back and knocked him into next week.

Prince Kadaje however was busy trying to get back into the news. He was curious as to what had happened while he was gone.

"Has anyone seen firecracker? I brought him a present!"

Kadje and Thunder had found a vendor selling exotic (and probably illegal in this part of the country) ingredients for home made fireworks. He just had to get them for the spiritedly little pony they had to leave on such short notice.

(So sorry! My brain just went kaput and forgot about this!)

"Could we?" Steelheart ask in reply to Shina's offer.

As the two bat pony continued talking to one another, she could feel a sense of dread in the pit of her stomach.

Leaning her head onto Shina's shoulder she explained " I just feel like something bad is about to happen.. And I'm afraid he's the type of pony to get in over his head."

It would seem that she shared her sisters sense of intuition, but lacked the refinement that came with age.

Shina's encouraging words did have an effect on her however.

letting out a shallow sigh, she said " Besides, today is suppose to be some kind of festival right? shouldn't we enjoy ourselves? "

Letting out a giggle and a koi wave of the hoof she added "There may even be some time for you two to be alone"

Meanwhile back on the edge of town Firecracker burst through his door in frustration.

As the door swung open a thin piece of paper fluttered to the ground.

As he starred at the crude of the phoenix, he remembered that he he had more important things to work on then his art.

Feeling driven again, he began to magically gather all of his books from around his house to his side.

Firecracker was never the best at magic, and for a unicorn this was a handicap he had struggled with.

But to make up for this, he had passion.

A sort of fire in hie belly that always drove him do reach for the stars no matter how far they really are.

In town the crowds began to become loud and confusing.

It looked like a party that would put even the element of laughter to shame (MLP references oi)

"Glorious is it. a thousand pony or more, all here for one big celebration" The mayor boasted to Lavender Moon.

Lavender Moon simply frowned saying " Don't you think this is all so.. excessive? You have distorted the land so much."

To which he dismissed-" None sense, it's a celebration. and the land is just that. land. A thing to be developed"

Sneering and looking away Lavender Moon muttered "okänslig jävel"

(insensitive son of a bitch)

Taking a moment to focus on something other then himself Mayor Catchpenny asked- "hmm? did you say something dear? Your speaking in that strange nonsense again "

Taking offence, she snapped " nonsense? It is the language of my people, of this grove!"

From his balcony where they stood the mayor waved down to all the other pony like at a parade.

Without even turning to Lavender Moon he grinned and said " look around you my dear.. There is no grove."

Kadje decided to drop of some of the things be brought with him at home and decided to stop by Fire cracker's as well. Thunder on the other hand decided to stay in town. Seemed there was some kind of festival going on and it looked like fun... However Thunder, oh kind hearted Thunder... Always getting roped into stuff. First it was an old pony pulling a heavy cart... He pulled it for her. Then it was a filly's balloon that blew away... He bought her another. A lost colt, helped find his mother. Eventually he wound up able to kick back with a glass of apple juice and walk around the town. He passed some bat ponies and tilted his head... It was part of the Saddle Arabian military school to learn to at least recognize most dialects... Sadly bat pony was not his strong suit so he couldn't understand much of the conversation. Just enough to know somthing was wrong. Thunder turned over his shoulder, snorting, inconspicuously asking the two bat ponies to follow him. As gentle of a giant Thunder was, he was still a top notch warrior and his job was to deal with interrogation and intimidation, it made sense to at least make an offer to help in whatever they were doing. Thunder turned down a darkened ally to keep the conversation private since he didn't have the luxury of speaking bat pony... He could speak Arabic though.

Kadje knocked a hoof against Firecrackers door. "Hey, sorry I had to leave last time I was here. But I brought you somthing back your going to loooove~"

Fang stopped. crimson hues watched Thunder as he walked by, signaling them to follow. "Zu'u lost koraav mok us. Vorey vahlok nii fund fon." Her gaze shifted back to Indicus, silently asking if he wished to follow.

(I have seen him before. Another guard it would seem.)

As Kadje knocked on Firecracker's door it simply opened on it's own.

In his fluster, It would seem Firecracker didn't take the time to close it properly when he came home.

The whole living area had books strewn about, and broken machine parts scattered among the debris of paper.

Popping up from under a pile of books, Firecracker saw a familiar sight.

Jumping out from his nest of books Firecracker shouted excitedly "Kadje! It's so good to see you again. "

Rushing over to him, he added " things have gotten really strange around here sense you left."

Looking back at his pile of notes and books he thought fondly of Shina and slyly remarked " Not all for the worse though"

Again it was clear he had no real skills in treating royal pony different from commoners, but perhaps that's what made him a good friend.

Resting a hoof on Kadje's shoulder he asked- " But how about you and thunder? how have you two been?"

"It would probably be best if everyone was together in one place just in case something does happen..." Shina seemed to be thinking out loud, not taking Steelheart's intuition lightly. "But I'm not really sure where he'd be at right now..." It seemed Shina had managed to simply tune out the conversation of the batponies ahead of them, not being able to understand their language anyhow. In doing so however, she'd also tuned out the whispers of ponies they were beginning to pass. As uncommon as the two batponies and flutterpony walking through the developing town might have seemed, the sunlight reflecting off the pearl like scales of a kirin was not only an odd sight in western lands but made Shina difficult to overlook. But as Lavender Moon had told her, she wouldn't hide what she was, maybe it was for the best, maybe not. Either way she'd simply deal with whatever the results of being who and what she was might bring.

"Perhaps we should go looking for him..." It was probably a poor choice of words given that Steelheart couldn't really 'look' for anypony, but it seemed Shina was more thinking out loud then anything else.

Kadje tilted his head in confusion. "Weird? Huh. Somthing with the weather maybe?" Prince Kadje loved being treated like a normal pony, it made him feel better about himself. He hated all the Bowing and idolizing, that made him feel like a tremendous jerk.

"Stressed out. That sand storm kicked up a lot more dust than my poor weather ponies could handle. I'm pretty sure I've still got some sand coming out of my ears!" Kadje laughed, sure the desert was always dusty, but sand storm weather made it even worse. "But hey! I brought you somthing! Just be careful. They may be illegal in this part of equestria." He set down the box of chemicals and half way made fireworks.

"The guy said you can mix and match for different colors, shapes explosions and they're less likely to be duds."

(I have seen him before. Another guard it would seem.)
Indicus nodded and followed Thunder directly answering the question without saying a word, knowing they could use all the help they could get.

Firecracker looked over the materials that Kadje had brought over.

His keen eye was quickly able to determine one gray dust from another." Lets see.. refined gun powder, Potassium nitrates, lithium, Nitroglycerin?!"

Almost dropping the small vile in surprise he desperately juggled it.

Clutching it to his chest to keep it secure, he said " This stuff is.." And then it dawned on him.

He could use this to create a powerful explosion.

perhaps one strong enough to extinguish the flames of an immortal Phoenix .

Cracking a confidant smile, he thanked Kadje saying " These are perfect ! thank you so much."

Using his magic he rushed a book over to him, and as he flipped through the pages he asked Kadje- " I know there is a festival going on right now, but could I get you to lend me a hoof with something? it shouldn't take to long with these parts. "

meanwhile as the festival was in full swing, no pony noticed the looming clouds beginning to swirl overhead.

No pony but Lavender Moon who again asked the mayor- " Don't you care what happens to all these pony? you are messing with forces you don't understand"

The mayor turned to her with a face more sinister then previously shown and replied " No my dear, You are dealing with forces YOU do not understand. Speaking of ..misunderstandings, where is your sister? she's gone missing again. I don't like unplanned delays.

At this same time as the the two bat pony fallowed Thunder around a corner Steelheart agreed " I think your right, we need to go find him.. I just have this strong feeling. Call it intuition, but I just feel that we need to all be together."

Lavender Moons comment about Flutter pony being more magic then mare.

Could this have meant they have a strange connection to the lands they inhabit.

Thunder rounded the corner. "I don't speak batpony but I know enough to know something's up and I want in." he whispered to the pair. "Something has seemed off since I stepped of the boat this morning and I don't like what my gut is telling me."

"No problem. Crazy things like this aren't hard to find in Saddle Arabia. we have a pretty low standard of what we call dangerous. just try to keep your hooves away from the fire." Kaje laughed, hugging the shorter pony. "Sure!I can help. what do you need?"

Fang gave a short nod, "I'll be honest, we're going to need all the help we can get." A slight frown tugged at her lips, "But if I"m remembering right, you're the guard for that Alicorn, correct? It'd be good to go find him as soon as you can. I'm not sure when, but things are about to go to hell really soon." Right now, she felt as though he needed warned before anything else.
