My Heart's 4/4 Beat [Closed]

Hanna gave Emily an extremely comical look of disgust. Yuzuke would have laughed but he was extremely uncomfortable at the moment. Hanna shook her head angrily, at a loss for words. Yuzuke would have agreed with Emily if his sister didn't know good music when she heard it. She would steal Yuzuke's CD's often and never returned them, blasting whatever rock songs she had her hands on in her own room. It was impressive that she could have good taste, but he knew he was underrating her. He remembered when he was in 6th grade he thought he was a "big kid" with his own goals and dreams and personality. Hanna's eyes shifted from Emily to her older brother and back. Usually he should have been her hero but Hanna was used to this disappointment from Yuzuke. A familiar sad spot in her stomach took root as she became ashamed of her brother. "I'm not sticking up for Justin Bieber or anything, but you're probably only using him as an insult to me because it's the 'cool' opinion to have...." She said softly, still shifting her glance from face to face. Finally she rested her eyes upon Emily's.

"Looks like you guys are having some kind of a connection. Both your faces are pale." She stated bluntly.

((One of you guys could be the drummer if you want to.))

((I can try but I'm awful at keeping two characters up at once, usually I tend to favor one over the other. If you don't want a second, though, let me know and I will))

Emily's eyes locked back on to the little girl's. For a moment, Hanna seemed ashamed of her brother. She also quieted down quite a bit, which was a huge relief. Shy, quiet Emily wasn't typically able to keep up long arguments or even pay attention to those who started them. Luckily, the guy standing in front of her seemed to have the same issue.

((I hope this improvised character skelly and charrie will work!!))

Name: Dahlia "Doll" Snow

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Position: Female Drummer

Personality: Dahlia is an odd one. She is obsessed with anything cute, and is in love with things from Japan such as anime and video games. She likes to cosplay and often dresses up for practices, shows, and -to the nun's dismay- for class. She is a happy-go-lucky chick and would do anything for her friends. She is loud but most people find her adorable rather than annoying.

Bio: She was adopted from Japan and renamed by her adoptive parents (her real name being Tsukiko Yuuki)). Once she was told she was adopted (you'd think she would have figured it out sooner but she can be a ditz) she became obsessed with the geeky aspects of her culture. She has been playing drums since first grade when she joined the school's music class: she was playing around in the percussion area and it just stuck.

Yuzuke nodded when Emily looked at him and then averted her eyes, his stomach clenching. He was embarrassed and wanted to be more like Dylan. He was sure Dylan would do something cool like flash her an insult, Hanna would cheer him on and he would put her on his shoulders. They would walk off into the sunset with Hanna on his shoulders. At the moment that didn't seem like it would be the case though. Besides, this girl didn't seem like the type to let someone have the last word and Yuzuke was confused. She was so quick to argue and meanwhile she looked just as sick as Yuzuke did. He was pretty sure it was for a different reason, but had no idea what that could be.

Hanna on the other hand liked the girl. She smiled up at her. "I like you." She stated simply and grabbed Emily's pinky. "Let's go, you can see the boy's band and judge for yourself." Hanna skipped away and towed Emily with the hulk-like strength she had with Yuzuke. He ran up to Hanna's side and shook his head down at her. "Dylan and Leigh won't like that. C'mon Hanna don't do this." He protested. Alas, they were already a couple of houses away from Leigh's and Dylan was visible from the roof.

Emily blushed more when Hanna took her pinky. The kid was STRONG!!! Emily wanted to pull away but wouldn't risk possibly knocking the girl down or hurting her. She'd always had a soft spot for kids. Well, and cats. But you know. Kids, too. She looked at Yuzuke, not really knowing what to say. This little girl was going to drag Emily right into the guys' no-girls-allowed clubhouse and there would no doubt be more arguing between herself and the annoying boy from before. "Uh, I don't think this is a good idea..." She said as the little girl reached a house. Emily didn't know which boy this home belonged to, but it didn't matter, she seriously could NOT be here right now!

((I will also start posting for Dahlia now if it is okay :3 Just to give Nelly someone to actually RP with ^_^ ))

Dahlia flipped her phone closed and looked at Nelly. "Oh my gosh, Em totally hung up on me!!" She exclaimed. She pocketed the tiny pink phone and crossed her arms. "Well now what?" She asked. She reached up and started messing with one of her long, dark pigtails. "I dunno if we're supposed to meet that chick at the mall or not. That's what she called about, but she suddenly had to go!"

(( NellyAngelhive if it helps I can tag you when I post as Dahlia so you'll know when to respond ^^ ))

((Yeah it's fine c:))

Hanna ignored both teenagers as she looked up at the roof. She was about to ask what Dylan was doing up there, but knew him well enough considering she had practically grown up with him hanging around the house. Instead she just shouted a random note to get his attention. Not waiting for his answer she dragged Emily through the basement and into their little practice room. She inhaled deeply and sighed, turning to Emily. "Smells like Leigh." She said shamelessly.

Yuzuke stayed outside and looked up at Dylan, holding his hand up to block out the sun. He would have quite a lot of explaining to do coming home with two girls instead of one.

"Uhh, hey... Yuzuke's sister," Emily said softly, not actually knowing the little girl's name. "Uhh, the boys don't really like me and I don't think that...Leigh..." She used the name Hanna had said on the way inside. "Is gonna be ok with this. He's gonna be really mad if he sees me in here, or any of the other guys, for that matter." She was talking a lot, especially since she didn't think the child was hearing anything she was saying. She looked around the house, wondering where Yuzuke's sister was taking her.

Dylan stared down as he heard a small girl's voice, recognizing it was Hanna's. He spotted Yuzuke down below along with Hanna who was dragging the bassist girl from their rival band just by her pinky. Dylan grunted, blowing his blonde hair out of his face but it fell back in place. He swiftly descended down from the roof, without struggle or hesistating moments. He was so used to climbing he swore it was just a part of his body to do so.

"You gonna let me know why they're here?" Dylan questioned Yuzuke with his arms folded. Hanna was alright as long as she never touched Diana, but the bassist girl? Not so much.

Hanna squeezed Emily's pinky. "I would like you better if you shut up." She said, her words cold and rude but somehow she spoke the words sweetly. She went through the basement (gently running her finger along Leigh's guitar as she passed it) and went up the stairs leading to the hallway. "I want you to stay for no reason. I like you. Besides, keep your friends close but your enemies closer." She had been talking to Emily and hadn't noticed that Leigh was right up ahead. Her eyes lit up and she jumped up and down, looking from Emily to Leigh and back the same way she did with Yuzuke. She was expecting Emily to say something obviously.

Yuzuke cleared his throat and watched his sister go inside. "Y-you know me Dylan. This wasn't my decision. We bumped into her and Hanna..." He looked down at his friends sneakers and then his face. Dylan's body language was speaking volumes, in Yuzuke's opinion, about how he was feeling at the moment. He didn't want Dylan to be mad at him and he grabbed Dylan's elbows before he could stop himself. "I'm sorry Dylan I really am!" He exclaimed.

"Geez, I was only joking with you. Take it easy," Dylan admitted it and writhed his elbows away, once he saw how much Yuzuke believed his act. Dylan knew how bossy Hanna was to his friend and basically anyone---except Dylan who was unaffected by her taunts since his indifference made him immune to it. Plus he doesn't yell at kids. And despite Hanna being so little she was like a temperamental stick of dynamite that could be a dud or explode when the fuse ran out. "Though, it doesn't change the fact that I don't want that girl bein' around," Dylan added, talking about Emily. The garage was like the guys' common place, it was strange having someone outside their band invade in on it. But this wasn't Dylan's house.

Emily let out a sigh and decided to just shut up, as Hanna had asked. The little girl seemed to have some weird obsession with the boy's band, mostly their guitarist. Eventually she stopped walking and Emily almost tripped over her. Looking ahead, she saw Leigh. She didn't say anything, even though Hanna was looking expectantly between the two of them. She wouldn't know what to say even if she spoke up. She knew Leigh was NOT going to be happy to see her, and even less happy that she was now in his home. She felt intrusive and really just wanted to leave, but Hanna was making that impossible at this point. Her fingers were in a vice grip around Emily's. Emily was clueless as to how a kid could have that much muscle in her hands, but that was something she'd never solve.... So she just looked up at Leigh, wondering what he was going to say.

Leigh shut the fringe after grabbing the sodas he heard some noise coming from the garage but thought it off as Dylan making a racket, He turned closing the fridge to meet the gaze of Hanna and Emily. A mixture of emotions went through Leigh, he was angry he had no warning, but that wasn't too prominent, his main concerns were the fact that a stranger is so close to seeing Leigh's messy and pretty embarrassing house. He stepped forward blocking the door way in to the Kitchen, "Hello there Hanna!" Leigh said with a smile on his face, he looked back up at Emily confused as to why she was there, Leigh took one look over her and didn't notice any dirt mark or scratches, the only possible reason Leigh would think she would be here is if she had been attacked on the street close by. Leigh then looked back down at Hanna and suddenly it clicked, he didn't know the details but he know somehow Yuzuke was involved in this. Leigh let out a slight sigh thinking about the possible cost on his Soda supply, "If you wouldn't mind waiting with the band, I'll be right out." Leigh stated to them both but speaking mainly to Hanna. "Anyone want a soda besides Dylan and myself?" Leigh shouted to everyone. He was disappointed, he was about to go in to his room and remove his shoes to get more comfortable but now he had more guests.

Leigh's opinion on Hanna was still fairly new, he had known her since the band started but he would never see the side of her opened up to Yuzuke and Dylan, he thought she was a sweet little girl with a good taste in music for her age group but on the odd occasion she would ask questions more personal to Leigh then the band in general, it was something he wasn't used too but he marked it off as curiosity, Leigh always laughed any comments made to him by Dylan or Yuzuke about her obsession off not being able to see it himself fully.

Emily blushed a little. Geez, this was so embarrassing... She didn't make any response since all of the guys seemed confused out of their minds as to what she was doing here. Heck, SHE was confused, too! Hanna had wanted her to hear the guys' music, but the little girl didn't seem to realize that the two bands practically hated each other at this point and that there was no way the guys were going to play for Hanna and Emily. She let out a sigh when Leigh told them- Hanna, mostly- to wait elsewhere, and prepared herself to be dragged off again.

Nelly looked at Dahlia and giggled quietly. "Oh, Em.." she mumbled and scratched her head. "Well.. If she said something about the mall, maybe we should indeed go and meet her there. If she's not there, though, we will still be at the mall, right?" She grinned and crossed her arms, "It would be at least fun~!"

((oh, alright! That would be nice! Though I'll be checking here more often now, since I know you reply quickly :) ))

Dahlia grinned. "Sure!" She said. She loved the mall. Well, she hated it too. It was a love-hate relationship: she loved it because she always found something to buy. She hated it because the cashiers always wanted money in return for all the junk she wanted. Dahlia stood from her drums, where she'd been tapping patiently on a cymbal while talking to Emily, and stretched way up in the air. It wasn't hard, since she was taller than both of her friends. Definitely not a normal trait given her race, but fine all the same. She smoothed out the skirt of the cosplay she was wearing today. "Wonder if I should change into something more eye-catching?" She mumbled to herself. She was currently in a Japanese school uniform with her long hair in twin pigtails. "Hmm... Nah, this'll do." She smiled again. "Ready when you are!"

(( @NellyAngelhive ))

Nelly put both her hands on her hips and tilted her head, looking at Dahlia's outfit. "I think it's good!" she said and smiled, then looking at her own clothes. It wasn't flashy, and it was cute.... Nelly never liked ti catch much attention, but she eventually did because of her white hair in such a young age. Well, she couldn't help that her body had a crazy reaction with all the toxins she had inhaled in that fire... Life was cruel, but eh, at least she still had her hair. "Alright!" she leaned the guitar against the wall and gave it a soft pat, as if it was an animal. "I'm ready!"

"Woo!" Dahlia giddily picked up her bag and slung it over her delicate shoulder. "I'll drive, my car's out in the east lot." She gave an easy smile as they left for the student parking lot. Soon they reached her car, a small but cute royal blue Neon. It wasn't much but it got her from point A to point B. She plopped into the driver's seat and waited for Nelly to join her before starting the car and heading out.

"Alright!" Nelly nodded with a smile and picked up her bag as well. She followed her fellow musician, thinking about having a car as well. It sure would be easier for me, she thought, though I already have a horse.. but I can't ride him to school, can I? She looked at the car and smiled. It sure suited Dahlia. Nelly opened the passenger's door and entered the car, carefully putting on the seatbelt.

Dahlia played some upbeat music on the way to the mall. "This is probably a question for the three of us to figure out together, but we don't even have a name for our band. Isn't that kind of important? I think we should figure that out BEFORE we play at the party. We can't just go up as some nameless band..." She tapped her fingers with the current song's drumline, never missing a beat. "If Em shows, we should probably get something figured out. I mean, not like it's a quick decision type thing. But we should at least think about it."

Nelly looked at her friend and gasped slightly, widening her eyes. "Holy crap!" She said, "You're right!! It's not like we can just play without having a name!" She crossed her arms and frowned in thought, tapping her index finger on her opposite forearm. "Hmmm......" She looked at Dahlia and let out a soft laugh, "Knowing Em, she'll probably want to name it something related to cats. Like 'The kitties', or 'Whisker girls'." Once again a laugh. The thought of having a name like that was funny. It would be at least cute!

Dahlia giggled a little bit. "I like cats, so it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world." She said. She'd worn cat ears many a time to classes, much to the dismay of the nuns. "That girl and her cats." She laughed. Then again, it was as bad as herself obsessing with cosplay. Shrugging it off, she added, "We'll think of something." She gave Nelly a warm smile as they pulled into the mall's parking lot.

"Hehe, you may be right. 'The Kitties' would be a pretty cute name~!" Nelly giggled. She didn't have any kind of obsession, she liked horses, but it wasn't like Em's obsession over cats. Besides, naming the band something like 'Wild Mares' would be pretty weird, she thought. She nodded at Dahlia. Dahlia was right, they would figure something out, and they'd figure it out together. As they entered the parking lot, Nelly sighed. "Ahh.. I hope there's an easy spot for us, the mall is usually such a horrible place to park.."

Hanna pouted and looked around, obviously the only one not feeling awkward. "Gawsh!" She cried. "I wanted to ease the tension and show you guys that the boys band was obviously better and this is what happens? Get along!" She let Emily's hand go after giving it a tough shake and stomped over to Leigh. She grabbed one of his fingers instead and let out a small giggle as she smiled up at Leigh. "Show her, Lee." She said. "Play the guitar for her." She had made up the nickname for Leigh while listening to Pearl Jam in her room and toying with a slinky. She hoped he liked it.

Yuzuke was a little embarrassed that he had not noticed his friend was just joking around but he didn't pay much attention to it. Hey had bigger (and smaller) things to worry about. He smiled at Dylan sheepishly. "Wanna go kick her out yourself?"
