Fantasy Monster Cafe

"Are you allowed to go out into sunlight?" Sarya asked curiously. She had heard a lot about sunsets and had always wanted to see one for herself... and thought the atmosphere during that time would be a great time to talk more with Xeren. But that wouldn't go down well if he couldn't go into sunlight, as she knew some monsters couldn't. She, herself, could not be out during harsh sunlight, but during the chill that came with evening while the sun began to set- or to rise, even, well she wanted to see what that was actually like.

When they reached Wilhelm's table, Sarya listened with true interest when he told his stories of the places he seen and the things he'd done. It was Wilhelm that made Sarya desire to see other places in the world, though she would always remain in the cafe. It was her home, and the only place she felt truly safe. Even in the forests back home she no longer felt that safety that came with her home- not after the fire had hit.

"Xeren! Wouldn't it be great to see some of the world together?" She enthused. "Just you and me, discovering new things..." She said, her mind going off into a bit of a daydream of the things they could see and do.

(Tis fine mah brotha)

Oh I can go in the day and the world I. ..is just frigging great!!" He opens his arms "so many different aromas and foods, so many buildings, and the best bit is I have the perfect spot for a moonlight evening" he kisses up her hand "only beautiful moonlit nights are for you"

When Livi didn't answer, Aspen took a breath and came in through the door to find Livi and Naisha on the floor. She slid down next to them and put her hand on the young wolf's back. "Hey," The nymph began. She wasn't sure how good she was at comforting people, but she was going to try her best for her friend. "I'm sorry about what happened tonight. Xeren is fine now, Sarya's with him, and Wilhelm is about to tell stories if you want to listen. I mean, after we get Naisha cleaned up of course, poor boy."

Aspen fidgeted with her pan flute nervously and waited for a response from either of them, if Naisha ever woke up.

An evening spent in the moonlight... it sounded enchanting. When she had been much younger she would often climb to the tippy tops of the trees so that she could see the moon and stars. The thought of it brought with a strong sense of nostalgia, and she swallowed heavily. Doing as she had seen others who were apparently 'coupled' do, Sarya took Xeren's hand in her's. Smiling she nodded at what she was hearing. "It sounds wonderful....." She trailed off as she pictured it, her eyes growing rather starry at the concept of it all.

"Xeren." She mentioned after a moment of quiet, her gaze moving to Wilhelm and her tone quieting so as not to interrupt his storytelling. "Xeren, you are becoming the world to me." She confided, squeezing the hand she held so tenderly in her own.

"Trust me dear, I don't hate you. It's impossible to hate someone so sweet." Aspen smiled, hugging Livi. Sure her friend caused trouble, but that was something that couldn't be helped. She was only a child after all! And besides, her company was more than enough to make up for the messes she made. "You don't have to change a bit for me, though I would appreciate it if you'd stop throwing food." The nymph teased. "As for Naisha, I'd hate to do this, but it seems to be the only choice..." Aspen walked to the sink and cupped her hands together. Whispering a quick apology, she tossed the water into the boy's face, jumping back as soon as she hit her mark.

Oh dear...

"I'm so sorry! I should have shaken you awake instead! Oh dear..." Aspen apologized profusely, water dripping from her hands onto the bathroom floor. "I wasn't thinking straight..." The nymph grabbed a paper towel. She couldn't help but smile at Livi's laughter and his confusion. They were both so cute in their own ways, and they never failed to put a grin on her face.

"I'm sorry for splashing water into your face Naisha." She said, bending down to give him the towel so he could wipe his face. "Would you two like to come out now? I think we can convince Wilhelm to tell a story, if you wish."

It'd been a while since he'd hung out at the cafe, but Ray wasn't entirely sure just how long ago that was. Probably a month or two. Not that it mattered now, as he entered with a bit of flair, bright eyes glancing around the place. "Hello! Is this a bad time to come in?" When he saw some people gathered at a table, he couldn't help but feel like he was intruding on whatever was going on. Even so, he casually walked up and beamed at everyone there, ignoring how his second mouth was drooling onto his pants.

Wilhelm finished his first story and took a breather. He was relaxing and trying to think of a story to tell, "Does anyone have any story requests?"

"Wilhelm! You should tell us the story that's kept you away from us for so long." Sarya said, a touch of enthusiasm in her voice. She still had a strong grip on Xeren's hand with one of her's, but the other one was gesturing wildly as she urged Wilhelm for that story. "We've missed you so much here... and I want to know why we had to go so long without your stories." It was almost a demand, except that Sarya doesn't really make demands. Still, she watched Wilhelm eagerly, hoping he accepted the story request.

Wilhelm smiled at Sarya's request, "Ah, I was waiting for someone to ask. Gather round young ones, gather round. This is a tale of what I did while I was away. This is a story about my experiences in a city abandoned by men, and reclaimed by nature. This is about what I saw in the dead city, of Chernobyl."

With the setting of the sun came the crashing open of the front door. Through the darkness of the entrance stepped a young gentleman in a suit of expensive fashion. His white hair glistened in the newly risen moonlight entering from the windows. The stench of blood already on his breath. "Hello! Patrons of this fantastic facility!" He said, almost drunkenly, showing how freshly he had fed. He stepped in and took a table of his fancy. "Little snake, the usual please." Vlad said.

Was happy sat with will helm, near sarya however, once this drunken fellow came in he stood up and kissed sarya softly. "I'll be right back"

He waited for the waiter to come and take the gentlemen 's order. He then thought about sarya, wondering if her lifestyle Is simile, what if they married, would he be eaten....well jokes to that, spiders don't eat dolls.

While Wilhelm had started his story, Sarya had noticed another newcomer into the area. And another one after that... she wondered how much longer she was oging to be able to listen to Wilhelm before she was needed to do her actual job. At any rate, she pulled out a chair that had been empty next to her and offered it to the boy with the second stomach, which she found fascinating. Does he have two stomachs? She wondered before giving the boy a neutral stare- pretty friendly for her considering Xeren had left her side. She patted the seat, "You're free to join us, sir. Wilhelm is telling a wondrous story." @Princex Jee Before turning back to Wilhelm.

"Cherobyl?" Sarya asked. "I haven't heard of this place before... please Wilhelm, continue." She pleaded, turning only long enough to see where Xeren was going, a smile gracing her lips from his gentle kiss, before turning her attention completely back to Wilhelm. Her mind registered the vampire in the area... a creature Sarya had always considered a cousin considering their similarities, but had never voiced such thoughts to anyone. He seemed a bit strange, but then most vampires seemed to come in as if they had just drank their weight in rum. Perhaps it was a trait of the nocturnal creatures...

Wilhelm cleared his throat, "Well, for those of you who don't know, Chernobyl is a town in that used to belong to the USSR. It was home to a nuclear reactor, it's workers and their families. Then one day, one of the reactors malfunctioned and started leaking radiation into the town, forcing everyone to evacuate. It would've been much worse and spread across Europe, had it not been for a small group of brave men who stayed behind to contain the damage. They died a few weeks later from radiation poisoning, but thanks to their bravery they stopped it from becoming a bigger disaster. Ever since then, the town has been abandoned, even by animals. I have been to the town both before and now after the accident."

Humans ....pfft idiotic race' he thought, through the pursuit of power, greed, they always kill them selves. It's not a case or xeren hated humans, he found them likable. Infact anyone that ate his food was a friend to him, it's just....why couldn't humans not go a year without several hundred or so of them dying.

"Xeren's right.... humans seem to take as many steps backward as they take forward. What did you find, Wilhelm? Was it just an empty shell of a city?" Sarya pressed, eyes glimmering with curiosity. She found the idea of an abandoned human town fascinating... although the radiation wasn't entirely pleasing. She was grateful to the sacrificial humans who had prevented the spread. "Wilhelm, did you know the men who died? Why did you go back to Chernobyl?"

And why do they seek power anyway, sure some monsters do it, but where understandable, take dracula a man literally bound to human blood, until what killed him, being impaled so...why do humans want to be monsters" he frowned.

Wilhelm shook his head, "I didn't know the men personally, only by word of mouth. I went back into the city for one reason, and one reason only." He paused for effect, "Curiousity. I was curious to see what the place looked like after all the tradition and the abandonment of people."

"Are you sure humans want to be monsters? I came to believe it was just in their natures to be less than actual monsters... where as we treat all races as equally, give or take, humans are quite literally all alike and yet they treat each other as if their differences were like the differences between me and Wilhelm or you and Jeremy. As if there were real differences." Sarya shook her head. She never had really understood humans. Wanting to hear more of the story she turned back to Wilhelm.

"So what was it like?" Sarya asked.

"It was both creepy and beautiful at the same time," He said, "buildings and cars forgotten and abandoned were taken over by foliage. People were in such a rush to leave that most of what they left behind still lays where it was put down mere hours before the accident. Planets mutated by the radition changed in appearances, like they were from an alien planet. But what was most fascinating, was the glowing sludge near the broken reactor."

Man I'm hungry...hmm hay Sarya, you want anything?" He called over, as he begun to frill himself a steak. He hummed a German opera song, he snickered "I love that song....from the anime hellsing" the character he referenced was rip van winkle, and her toothy grin. (G2g work ttyl)

"Glowing sludge? Is the radiation getting out?" Sarya asked... and just when she was beginning to think that those humans had done a decent deed of keeping it under control.

"No thanks, Xeren." She replied, feeling a small smile curve her lips at being remembered. "I'm quite content for now. Thank you for asking." She caught the notes of tune from him, and gave it a little attention, though the majority of her focus remained on Wilhelm as she waited for him to tell them more about Chernobyl.

"Wilhelm... if there were mutated plants could other things have mutated as well?"

Wilhelm shrugged, "I don't know, it's certainly possible. But no the radiation is contained, the sludge is just a small drop that grew. And I think it's actually alive. When I moved closer to it, it moved away from me. That's why it's fascinating, at least to me. And when I walked away, I looked over my shoulder it looked like it waved farewell to me. Someday when the radition dies down enough, I'll show you around."

Xeren soon smiled doing a small parody "und so I've aquired a pretty steak, tinker tailor, soldier sailor my fork punishes all without distinction"

He snickered, looked at Sarya to keep him happy, her face always made the doll happiest.

"Is there anything you want to know little mouse?" he asked "I personally don't think my life has been too interesting or at the very least not something that I feel the need to inform you about urgently. I've nothing much to say in regards to my life I suppose though family does mean a lot to me, I still keep in touch with my parents, my 20 brothers and sister and the rest of the tribe and family." Jeremy shrugged "And you know you should consider becoming a therapist to monster folk if you want to help but also can't stand real people. We are forced to live in such archaic ways most of the time so we don't have help for most things, take Lamia for instance. We are brought up to believe we must live with the tribe forever and never separate and that sharing mates is perfectly fine. There are probably more like me out there who want to see more and choose a path for themselves but were not as brave to do so. You could do a lot of good with people like Werewolves or Vampires or anything that requires another person to change from who they once were. I imagine it would be good for those sorts of people." Upon seeing the customer at the door he sighed.

"I think my break may be over now little mouse, terribly sorry." The Lamia got up, pet the others hair a few times before slithering away to the door "Welcome Sir, how may I help you today?"
