Sarya's brow furrowed at hearing the plant had physical reactions to Wilhelm. "WIilhelm, what if the next time you go back there there is a tribe of monster plants?" Sarya said. She often heard discussions about which came first- man or monster- and some believe monster, other believed man, while still others believed both. And yea new species of monsters were being discovered still to this day.

The spider's ears perked up at Xeren's song, turning to look toward the kitchen and observe the doll. He seemed to be having a wondrous time, which brought a smile to her face. She wondered what his life was like... she had never had the nerve to ask him much about it. She'd have to make a comment later.

Nicholas' eyes widened at Jeremy's suggestion that he become a therapist for monsters. Is that even allowed? What monsters would come to a human for therapy? But the idea certainly intrigued Nicholas, and he found himself having a strong desire to agree to it and put the work in to get it started. It'd save me several years of medical school. He pointed out to himself. When Jeremy said his break was over, Nicholas nodded. Time to really test his jealousy... His eyes slipped closed as he was petted only to open once the snake had left to greet the guest. Going to sit at the table with Wilhelm, and noting there were new people in the cafe, he tried to catch up on what they had been discussing. His eyes kept trailing over to Jeremy and his mouth kept forming into a smile as he did. He was certainly looking forward to getting to know the man better.

Xeren walks back sleepily lying on sarya's lap "good night zzz....zzzz...." he decided to nap as no one wanted any food. When asleep he looked even More doll like, still in its box.

Vlad once again demands his regular drink from the snake man. He laughs at the story he is hearing about Chernobyl. "You know, I was there as well. I saved many humans, but they just screamed when they learned who I was. They are ungrateful creatures.always have been." He slunk into the table and waited for his drink.

"Sir I would recommend you stop bad mouthing an entire race as a member of it is sitting in this room." Jeremy hissed defensively as he trailed off towards the kitchen, pouring a drink for the man. Xeren may be the chef but when it came to serving some of the quite grotesque items on the menu sometimes Jeremy or Sarya would need to handle them. He took a vial of blood from a rack and poured it into the drink, swiftly returning to the table and setting it down before the man. "Will that be all sir?" He asked and bowed.

Vlad Smiled at the Jeremy back talking him, refreshing not to have someone grovel at him, and instead defend something. "I merely speak from experience. I was once a human. I remember not how long ago it was, but I do remember the fear I had for monsters. a vampire had just sacrificed himself for my life and the life's of hundreds of his kin and I thanked him by weeping for my humanity for several years. but that is a story for another time. I have met some enjoyable humans, that is true, but one bad apple spoils the bunch, as they say." he says to the waiter as he returns with his drink. he takes a sip, then downs it in one gulp. the coffee clears up his drunkenness, while the blood rejuvenates him, putting him in a surreal buzzed state. "thank you Jeremy, another drink will do for me."

Wilhelm pursed his lips, "I don't really know if I'll go back, but if I do it will be only when the radition is completely gone." He then turned to Vlad, "And as for what you've said, I must say that I do completely agree with you. We humans are monsters in our own right, but as you can see by the occupants of this establishment, not everything is what it seems. Humans kill for greed, power, revenge, anger, jealously and in some brutal and bizarre cases, for fun. A person is good, people are bad."

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/monster_6___spider_girl___arachne_by_myrmirada-d5l3smk.png.feb89264dce0d98c56f2236efa88ffec.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="73506" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/monster_6___spider_girl___arachne_by_myrmirada-d5l3smk.png.feb89264dce0d98c56f2236efa88ffec.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Sarya watched in amusement as Xeren came back over to her, and she happily curled her front legs so that he had something to rest on considering she usually didn't have much of a lap. She combed her fingers through his hair tenderly. She looked over at the vampire who mentioned being a part of the event of the dead town. Saving lives? Why would he take time to save lives? But then... perhaps Sarya could say much... she had saved the two lost children. She nodded to Nicholas as he rejoined the table, her glance speaking volumes and pulling a fresh blush to the man's face. She was surprised by Jeremy's hiss, glancing back over at the snake and the vampire.

"Do you remember what it was like? Being a human?" Sarya questioned, finding her interest piqued at the concept.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/66ff528a0703b566af1a0a0dc3c1cd0c.jpg.916e2fb21e2b4767461aaee94008c94a.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="73505" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/66ff528a0703b566af1a0a0dc3c1cd0c.jpg.916e2fb21e2b4767461aaee94008c94a.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Nicholas heaved a sigh when he came to discover upon his return that the conversation was on a mistake humans committed. He should have been surprised b this information and yet he felt rather... well... his confidence took a couple hits by it. Did they automatically think those things of him considering he was human?

He smiled at Jeremy when the man hissed, appreciating the support that was given. He turned to Wilhelm when the man said how humans were monsters. He also kept in mind what the vampire had said about one rotten apple spoiling the bunch.

"Is it really right to compare humans to monsters when in this room, monster is a species and not a negative term?" He finally spoke up.

Being human is overrated. ..like seriously" he awoke playfully sticking younger out, keeping one eye closed looking at his beautiful arachnid "what I wouldn't give to be never be separated from you"

"Thank you." He accepted the seat, and gave a pleasant smile in return. The stare didn't bother him at all, as he was a little more used to weirded out looks anyway. A pleasant change.

Ray listened intently to everyone's words, idly playing with his hair as he did so. "Humans can be quite nice. I have many acquaintances and friends that are human, although...maybe it's just because I look human to them. I just need to hide my markings, put on a full shirt, and no one suspects a thing." He shrugged and relaxed into his seat. "The few that know can be a little crude, but are otherwise quite nice."

"we are all monsters in the end." Vlad said, then he got up on the table and did a hand-stand while balancing the empty cup on his foot "so, my motto is to live life how you want." he says, the cup drops and, with his lightning vampire reflexes, he catches and pushes off the table. He flips around in the air and lands on the bar feet first. he sits down on the bar and starts to laugh. "I bet you all thought I was some sort of gloomy gus or something, with all that nonsense about hating humans." he laughs hysterically.

Patrick comes out of the room he was in, having finished counting the money in the safe. "Vlad, if you break one of those cups, you'll be payin' for it." he screams as he takes the empty glass from Vlad and sits it in the sink.

"oh come now Patrick, I have the luck of the Irish on my side." Vlad laughs as he rubs the top of the small Leprechaun.

"one o' these days Vlad, I am coming in to work with a stake that has your name on it. or maybe I'll slip some garlic in your next drink." Patrick said, punching the Vampire in the Stomach so hard he fell to his knees. as Vlad got up, a dark Aura of bad intent covered the room. Patrick stared him down.

Suddenly the two burst out laughing. slinging their shoulders over eachother, they began to dance and sing an old drinking song in Gaelic.

Wolfgang grumbled angrily and stepped out of the back room and roared "Would you all shut up! Get back to your jobs people I don't pay you to dance with an old fart!" Jeremy snickered at the elders wording "You're an old fart yourself boss!" he said before yelping as wolfgang stormed over and whacked him on the back of the head.

Vlad laughed "I guess it is true I am an old fart, but why should an Old fart like me listen to a young pup like you?" he danced around Wolfgang as Patrick stopped dancing, afraid of the wolf. not many creatures can catch a leprechaun, but a werewolf was one of the few exceptions. "ahh, yes sir boss, sorry." he said, walking to the register and checking the sales so far.

Wolfgang snarled, hand darting out and grabbing Vlad by the throat, effectively stopping him "Will you shut up and sit down and stop harrassing my actual valuable customers old man? I don't know if you've gone senile in your old age but It certainly seems it!" he rubbed his face with another hand, claws scratching through the fur "Thank you Patrick. It's nice to know someone around here takes their job seriously!" He sighed before turning to Jeremy "My niece is coming to stay for a while so do me a favour and don't fucking wrap yourself around her alright? I know that's your thing but I remember the last time she visited and we had to get a doctor in. Don't.Do.It!"

Jeremy nodded slowly at these words "It's not like you warned me before hand!" he protested.

Oh heh hay boss I'm uhh...just gunna good. ." He goes back to work, actually terrified of the wolf. "U..uhh Mr Wolfgang. ...mum c-can I ask you a favor. .."

He asked a bit terrified, but needed to make sure it was okay, he wanted to get Sarya some nightshade flowers, preferably before the store closes.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/monster_6___spider_girl___arachne_by_myrmirada-d5l3smk.png.86dbc106ed838c16c560e937746d4f1f.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="73567" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/monster_6___spider_girl___arachne_by_myrmirada-d5l3smk.png.86dbc106ed838c16c560e937746d4f1f.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Sarya smiled at Xeren's sappy comment about never wanting to be separated. She disagreed with the thought... she felt if they were never separated that then they would never understand how amazing the time spent together was. She continued to hold him close until Mr. Wolfgang came out and ordered everyone back to work. Realizing that she had, in fact, been slacking she was quick to follow Xeren- though she ended up moving back into the rafters where she had a better view of the whole establishment and would be able to serve people better.

She waited for someone who needed an order taken or to be brought over that Jeremy wasn't currently serving, careful to be seen as busy instead of sluggish in case Wolfgang decided to look her way next. The last thing she wanted to do was upset the boss... especially after seeing the thump to the head that Jeremy received. Sarya had never been very good with physical violence and though her body was fairly sturdy. it was still build like a spiders with her exoskeleton being the one thing holding her together... one good hit could actually kill her if she wasn't careful.

Sarya continued to scuttle about the rafters, her gaze following the people coming and going through the cafe, serving people when it was needed and sneaking back into the kitchen when it wasn't to watch Xeren work.

Nicholas ducked at the roar, a cower coming over him from instinct as the angry werewolf stormed out of his office. Even though he was terrified, he still felt a nasty spark of anger when the werewolf physically struck Jeremy. Sure, the snake had been mouthing off but... that looked painful. Nicholas was on his feet in an instant, though he didn't speak and didn't move to Jeremy's side until Wolfgang had turned his attention to the vampire entirely.

The silver haired man's eyebrows furrowed in confusion and curiosity when Wolfgang mentioned not wrapping around this person. Why would doctors be needed? He questioned, though said nothing until he was at Jeremy's side. A soft touch to the man's shoulder and then a quick check to the back of his head to make doubly sure of no outwardly visible injuries.

"Are you ok, Jeremy?" Nicholas said softly, trying not to look too much like he was distracting Jeremy from his job... but wanting to make sure that the man hadn't been injured.

Jeremy shook his head asif to relay any fears the other had "It's fine Nicholas, the boss is more bark than bite, I'm like a family member to the guy!" He said, laughing before turning to Wolfgang "How long until my little princess gets here anyways boss?" Jeremy was quite fond of the girl and hadn't seen her in a good while and knowing Wolfgang, he had kept it a secret until he could bear it no more, usually meaning the day of her arrival.

Wolfgang grunted at this question and looked towards a clock in the room "About an hour at least? And stop calling her a princess damnit do you want it to go to her head?" Jeremy snickered at this and began to whisper in Nicholas' ear "He can say that all he likes but you should see him with her! He's not such a tough guy when his little Minnie Mouth is around!" This earned him another smack from Wolfgang.

"Are you ok, Jeremy?" Nicholas said softly, trying not to look too much like he was distracting Jeremy from his job... but wanting to make sure that the man hadn't been injured.
Xeren snuck out, heading to the flower shop. He quickly got the bouquet hiding the flowers, as he snuck in. "Heh didn't even know I was gone hehaah"

Vlad sat down at a table near Jeremy and wolfgang. "you know Pup, you should learn to respect your patrons more, perhaps I will find a different cafe to serve me. and as for your staff, well, just be glad that this one happens to be a masochist." Vlad then pointed at patrick, "if you had harmed the little clover..." he said, then moved his finger toward Xeren "or the innocent little Puppet over there I might get a bit upset."

"calm down Vlad, that's just how the Boss is, he only hurts Jeremy because he knows he can." Patrick said, defending the boss. "also, you wouldn't have to defend me, I can take any man or monster who comes at me." Patrick putts his arms up in a boxing position.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/66ff528a0703b566af1a0a0dc3c1cd0c.jpg.4f57da832ab7511ef3b72ebb93317249.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="73580" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/66ff528a0703b566af1a0a0dc3c1cd0c.jpg.4f57da832ab7511ef3b72ebb93317249.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Nicholas released a slow breath through his nose, nodding. He still didn't appreciate when Wolfgang smacked Jeremy a second time, but understood it to be more playful then anything else. He refrained showing any other displays of concern or affection, having not really discussed Jeremy's level of PDA. Sure, the guy flirted with everyone... but that also meant he probably shouldn't show favoritism to Nicholas. That being said, the man couldn't help resting his hand on Jeremy's shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze before going to sit down once more- this time choosing a table that was a little farther away from the main hustle and bustle. He could still hear Wilhelm's stories but he was a fair distance away from the loud vampire.

He also blinked upon seeing the Leprechaun. He knew he'd seen the little guy around before but had never really seen him behave... well... so obnoxiously, Nicholas supposed. Still, it really bothered Nicholas that Jeremy was okay with the treatment received and pulled out his book to try and calm his nerves.

Sarya remained in the rafters, having been paying too much attention to the shenanigans going on to notice Xeren slip out for a moment. She found a comfy position and settled down, peering down at all the patrons and the staff workers as they bustled around. She helped where it was needed, but mostly she just needed to stay out of the way.

Xeren sneaked up on her, covering her eyes "guess who" he smiles using his over hand to hide flowers behind his back. He smiles softly "I got a surprise for ya"

[QUOTE="Sir Grego](I was threatening Wolfgang not to hurt his staff.)

(I know u rered haha ^_^ " guess I was too slow on the delete lol)

Jeremy gasped in offence at the comment being made towards him "I'm not a masochist oh my god! Wolfgang just doesn't hit me hard! Gross. Why would you even say something like that ew he's like my uncle or a second dad or something." He shuddered at the thought, tail going stiff with unease. Wolfgang chuckled, smacking the Lamia on the back once due to his amusement "Only difference being I wouldn't go near your scary mother with a ten foot pole!" Wolfgang was not always aware of his strength so even when he meant things as a playful tap it would come out quite hard. "And besides, I only hit the lad because he knows how to take a punch and win a fight unlike the rest of my staff who are delicate little flowers flowing through the wind." He shrugged "That and Patrick makes me money and I need him in one piece to continue to do so."

Patrick slumped his arms to his side "hey, I am not a delicate flower." he said defensively. "I might not have super vampiric strength, or Animalistic abilities, but I'm pretty damn fast." Patrick said as he ran around the cafe at high speeds. Vlad caught him by the back of the shirt and held him up to wolfgang "alright patrick, challenge wolfgang, than we can all trust how strong you are."

Patrick gulped and pulled the back of his shirt from Vlads grasp. "no thanks, I...I...I wouldn't want to risk my job on something pointless like fighting my boss." he said with as much dignity as he could muster and walked back behind the bar.

ReiiDeckklan said:
Naisha simply looked at her, not acknowledging her apologies and not taking the paper towel. "Dry your hands; you're getting water on the floor." Naisha pushed himself off of the floor and slowly got to his feet, ready to get out of the bathroom.
Livi looked between them blinking. "Are you flirting with her?" she asked. That made Naisha stare at Livi for a long moment until he finally just waved her closer. So Livi stood up and and went over to him, and he flipped her hair in her face. "Hey! What'd you do that for??" Livi huffed, shaking her head and shoving her hair out of her face as Naisha picked her up to carry her. His reply was, "What do you know about flirting?" Matter-of-factly she told him: "I know a lot! Probably more than you do because you've never even had a girlfriend before and I've watched a lot of movies." A small amused smile was forming on his face as he listened to her. Then she said "I know it's not good to try and flirt with girls when your clothes are dirty."

He looked down at his clothes realizing why he was nauseous. He was still covered in sticky pancake goo and chocolate, and he smelled like sticky pancake goo and chocolate. Naisha started gagging. Livi squirmed in his arms and squeaked. "LETMEGOLETMEGO! DON'T YOU DARE THROW UP ON ME NAISHA! LET ME GO!!!"
(Sorry)

Aspen laughed as she dried her hands and placed a few paper towels on the counter. "I'm glad your awake at least. I'll go see if Wolfgang has clothes to spare while you clean yourself up, okay?" The nymph left the bathroom, saw Wolfgang, and walked over to him. He was huge compared to her, but she didn't mind that much as she tapped his shoulder.

"Mister Lash? Sorry to bother you, but there was an incident and Naisha needs new clothes. Do you have anything to give him? I'm sure he wouldn't mind if it's a little big on him as long as it's not covered in pancakes and chocolate! Also, I ordered all the things you needed!"

Xeren strolled over "if you need to prove your self...you can fight me..besides I'm pretty tough". He looked no where near tough, after all chefs at normally fighters, he blinked staring at Patrick.

Nicholas made sure to note that Jeremy saw Wolfgang as a second father or an Uncle. It was important to keep in mind those who were important to loved ones, and it made Nicholas wonder if he should focus more on being on Wolfgang's good side or being on Jeremy's actual parent's good side. Considering his parents had been strongly traditional, if Nicholas recalled right, would the two even approve of him.

He was also glad to hear the snake man wasn't a masochist- that was always a plus in a relationship. Nicholas wondered just what this trial run meant, exactly... were they still open to looking into dating other people or was it kind of like dating except really with no commitment to stick to one another? Nicholas wasn't sure... he'd have to make sure to ask the man later. He set his book on his table, unable to read while Jeremy spoke- even if he was upset while he did. He watched while the Lamia worked, continuing to find himself intrigued by the other man and blessed for the attention Jeremy had given to Nicholas.

Sarya had gasped in surprise and delight when Xeren snuck up on her, surprised that she hadn't heard him coming. She gripped his hand, kissing the palm before turning to look at him with a broad grin. "You don't need to get me anything, as long as I get your company." She pointed out.

Her brow furrowed just a little when Xeren when to challenge a coworker to a fight. What was the puppet man doing? It wasn't even that Sarya doubted Xeren's abilities, but... well, ok she did doubt his abilities. He just didn't look exceptionally strong and to be challenging anyone to a fight? Sarya had never been a big fan of unneeded violence...
