Fantasy Moments in Time

- Meeto, the shop keeper -
"Black Market"

"No, he isn't. He tells me he's a regular butler who's really good at his job. Ah-! Seth, there's a hole in your pocket." Serena snickered , secretly glad that she found that hole so he can fix it.

With Sen and Minnie, the sniper leaned in his hand with her cheek and looked at him. She took comfort in knowing that there's a plan with the messages. "Okay." As he got ready, young woman went over to the night stand and pulled something out from the drawer. Then she wrapped her arms around his neck, cold metal touching his collar bone and neck.

"Good luck charm. Take it off if you need to. " She muttered. She snapped the clasp of the chained necklace and there was a bullet with a familiar insignia of a heart-shaped lock as a charm. " . . . You can do this." Minnie is still worried, probably going to worry throughout the night, but she wanted to show support; even when she doesn't like the idea.

After saying their good-byes and support, Minnie gripped the contract tight and close to her chest while Serena waved as the twins left their sights. ". . ."

". . . They'll be okay."

"You don't know-"

"Yea, but I'm going to believe in the positive." Serena said, placing her hand on Minnie's shoulder. "Come on. We can have a comfort sleep-over with the Princess-!"

". . . Serena, the princess need sleep-"

"I'm sure she would love to know more about her twin sister-!" Minnie sighed, Serena's not listening. Clearly on purpose.

Meanwhile, Meeto waited for the twins, disguised as well and lead them the way to the Black market. Meeto wasn't lying when he said that finding the black market was hard. They would search every nook and cranny of the kingdom's most shadiest of places, avoiding the guards, and normal citizens who are just coming home from work. At the edge of the city is where they will find themselves surrounded by thugs, rascals, people with the shiftiest of eyes and grins that felt slimy saliva is dripping off them. There were a few tents with dim lighting, big curtains and cloth covered the entrances with voices muffled from a spell of sorts; Seth can sense it.

Meeto turned to face them, his golden eyes watching their surroundings. "Imma guessin' yus want tuh find acid, yea?"

Surprised, Sen, lifted the bullet up in his palm. "When did you get this?" He thought that she must have planned to give this to him at a more romantic time before all this assassination attempts happened. Minnie must be really worried if she was giving this to him now. He smiled at her. "Thank you, Minnie." And wrapped his arms around her. He hugged her tight. "I won't take it off, thanks for the charm." He cupped and looked into her face again. He didn't have anything to give her, his plans when they got here had revolved around seeing the sights, tasting the local cuisine and maybe visiting the metal workshops, and he didn't want to make this sound like he was going to his doom ---- that would just worry her more ---- so he grinned and pecked her playfully on the nose. "After this, let's explore the castle, 'kay?"

As the twins left, Seth waved enthusiastically at Serena, while Sen danced a funny jig then grinned, before they disappeared into the darkness.

Later that night, the twins nodded at Meeto. "We can take it from here. We don't want to involve you more than this. Just stay here, Meeto." whispered Seth, now disguised as a ruffian.

"Any advice you can give us before we go? Things to watch out or some kind of cultural something we need to consider so as not to make someone mad?" whispered Sen, pulling his cloak over his head, and clutching the necklace for a moment.

"Aye, I'll be 'ere an' no. As lon' yus 'ave common sense, yus should be okay." Meeto said, leaning against the buildings that hid the trio and blended with shadows the further away the twins went.

There was a rotten smell of drunken men and foot fungus in the Black Market, a small crowd of shifty people all around. Sounds and cries of rare animals with chains rattled in the auction area as they were put on stage. There's even a few people in chains too, being auctioned off to the highest bidder to do whatever they wanted. However there was a smaller auction tent nearby the creature one and there the twins will see an announcer talking rapidly for anybody to bid higher and higher for a cursed sword. Then a strange spiky bottle that's made from orcs, a shield that can talk (they had to muffle it with glass to lessen the dark affects), and -

"Ah! Yes! 2,500G! Anybody want to go to 2,600G?! Don't be shy, remember this acid is made with a dragon's liver, so says the Doctor. 2,600G?! Do I hear a 2,600G?"

"A cursed sword!" whispered Seth excitedly. "Sen, can't we just --- I mean, you are just going to pay her back."

"I know, brother, but the princess is counting on us, she lent us this precious gold despite the hard times she's having, we can't disrespect her by spending it on cursed objects."

Seth looked longingly at the sword. When the twins saw the slaves and heard about the acid made of dragon liver, their expressions hardened. They've never liked the slave trade, to think this was going on after people lost families during the war. Here are kidnappers adding to the grief for money. Sen memorized the faces of the slave drivers and any distinguishing marks such as tattoos or their wagons, leaving a mental note to find out more about these traders later and dismantle their business this year; Seth wanted to find out who made the acid. More than illegal, killing a dragon was like killing a friend to him. The dragons of the Stormwall had fought and bled with them --- and here are greedy humans who murdered them for their parts.

Suddenly, Sen spoke very casually, looking at the talking shield. "At your 4 o' clock, red cloak leaving a tent with a guy glaring at him."

Seth looked at the slave trade, watching from the corner of his eye the red figure. "I'm on him. You deal with tent man?"

"Okay."

Sen, gave him a pouch of gold, then the twins separated, Seth looking at stalls all the while, but indirectly keeping an eye on the red cloaked figure through reflections on the trinkets and windows in the torchlight. He planned to follow him from a distance, never looking at him directly, pretending to be perusing the goods. He wanted to see if he was going to go meet with anybody or enter a building. He wanted to see signs too of tiredness, if perhaps this guy was off to bed.

Meanwhile, Sen was bidding for the acid. "Right here!" he said, putting up the finger signs for the bid. Doctor . . . he looked around to see if he could spot who the man was talking about.

- Red Cloak -
"The black market"

The Announcer perked up, flamboyantly waving his hand at a disguised Sen. "2,600G! I heard 2,600G-!" Then a sudden ring pierced through the air followed by a loud thump, someone behind the tent stopped it.

"Congratulations on buying acid, Sir. Come at the back to take your prize-!" Yelled the announcer as a muscled guy with a lot of chest hair coming out of his shirt placed a large cage on the stand. Inside is a pure white big cat with faded strips across it's back. "We have a Liger this time, Folks!"

Then the muscled man, with a surprising delicate grab, picked up the glass bottle with the acid and waited at the back for Sen to pick up. At the back, other than the burly man, is another much more slender figure. He wore robes that mages usually wear and has a monocle on his left eye and the way he smile at the twin . . . he was too disturbingly gleeful about meeting him.

"Congratulations on purchasing my work of art. Use it well, whatever that may be~"

Meanwhile, it seems the pair that Seth is following didn't notice him as the man who was glaring was mouthing at the red cloaked figure. He was arguing with this figure quietly before shaking his head and pointed at the red cloak. It wasn't until they turned around to a more secluded area that the hidden red figure grabbed the man's shirt and shoved him against a great blue tree.

"Shut. Up." The figure harshly whispered. It was too muffled to know if this figure was male or female. "You work for me, remember? So unless you want your kids to be a decoration for a lovely bidder, I suggest to do as I say. Got it?!"

The glaring man narrowed his eyes even more and swiped the figure's arm away from him, nodding once. "I understand." He growled back and the red figure snorted.

"Good. Keep it that way." The red cloaked figure walked away from the man, the shadows of the dark forest trees dimmed the red color until it faded into the darkness. The man gritted his teeth and punched the tree behind him in frustrations.

Seth watched this exchange from the rooftop, pondering if he should go for offense or for talking. He was good at offense. Immediately, as the red cloaked figure was walking away, he unleashed a fan of knives sneak attack to pin the red cloaked figure limbs against a tree!

Meanwhile, Sen gave a toothy ruffian grin, showing mismatched teeth. "Glad doing business with ya. Ya don't mind if I test this do you? Want to make sure my money's worth it." he said in a rough voice, looking up at the acid in the light. Before the doctor could say anything, he opened it, and took out a piece of diamond as though to test it on it. If the twin noticed any documents or a ledger of sales on a table, letters addressed to people, anything to help him identify this doctor, he was going to make a show of accidentally pouring a little on a finger, then crying in pain, spilling acid everywhere, and then sneakily do a sleight of hand trick to grab the source of info and put it into his pocket.

"Black Market"

The hooded figure yelped as a rain of knives pinned the cloak to the tree's bark. The man who was glaring before is now blinking owlishly and looked up to see Seth up on a rooftop.

"What the-? Who are you?"

The figure struggled, wiggling like a fish out of water. "Let. Me. Out-!"

Meanwhile, with Sen, the Doctor was about to reply but he just grinned as Sen took out a diamond. The disguised twin will see letters that ended with an insignia, of what seems like, two broken pieces of a red heart on top of the desk with other written notes. A list of ingredients is sticking out of a locked book too. When Sen made a show, the Doctor's grin sharpened and gleefully said: "Please do be careful of not wasting my piece of art like that. I take pride in what I do, Sir."

Then he turned to the muscled man, about to grab his book and notes. "Now, I must be off. I have some scavenging to do."

Seth glared at him with the anger from trying to kill his brother, but didn't answer. He dropped down from the roof with barely a rustle next to the man that had been threatened. "I'm here to help." he whispered to him. "I'm with The Order, we'll help you rescue your kids from this man and his vile friends. For now, if you want to help us do that, help me restrain him." he tossed the man a dagger, then walked forward to his pinned prey.

He took out a cloth and stuffed it into the assassin's mouth to muffle him, quickly tying another cloth around his mouth. "Stop struggling, or I gut you where you stand." he whispered in a different voice. He would then cover his head with a bag, then slice the man's Achilles tendons so that he wouldn't be able to walk, and then break both arms.

Meanwhile, in the tent. Sen profusely apologized, grinning meekly to the muscled man as he attempted to clean the mess he made with his cloak, burning it and making a general mess of things as he pocketed the diamond . . . and other things. "Yeah, yeah, sorry, burned myself. I'll get out of your way." And he quickly made his way out of the tent, running for the nearest crowd to hopefully meld into it and disappear.

-Meeto-
"Black market"

After picking up his jaw from shock, the man nodded. He fumbled the tossed dagger, not wanting to get cut by accident until he has a good grip on the handle.

The cloaked figure froze and let out an 'Omf-!?' when he stuffed a cloth in his mouth before tying another around it. However struggle he did as he writhed in pain from the cuts on his Achilles tendons and the broken arms; it's to the point where the helpful man knocked him out with a punch, muttering: "That felt good . . . for now."

He turned to Seth with an awkward grimace. "Here, I'll carry the idiot. Just show me where to go."

Meanwhile Sen had gotten away in time as the muscled man didn't appreciate the mess he created, now cleaning it up before searching another item to bid over. The Doctor left the scene with a loony grin. "How interesting~ Very interesting. Hehehehee~"

If the twins came back to their meeting spot with Meeto, they will see him leaning against the wall, hidden in the shadows. He'd raise a brow at the newcomer and the unconscious person before grunting a 'Hi'.

"Let's get out of here." said Sen immediately, panting. "I-I need to drink a poison and acid antidote quickly, Meeto." he added, showing his burned finger and sweating, anxiously.

"I'll carry you!" said Seth immediately, giving his brother a piggy back ride. He told the man who was with them that they were going to go to the palace, saying that he'll be safe there. They had questions for him, and gave them his word that no one will know about him.

If they made it to Meeto's shop, Sen, feeling feverish, would immediately drink a potion; while Seth handed out new disguises for their new friend and for themselves. And for the assassin too, force drinking it on him so that he turned into a chair, after Seth had stripped him of his armor, weapons, and clothes. He paid for all the items of course. After that the twins would thank Meeto for his help, and then sneakily return to the castle with their new acquaintance.

- Sebastian Micheals -
"Spade's Castle"

The subtle light of the waking sun peeked the horizon, the sky's shades of purples to soft blues and aqua as the sleepy moon sets under. The three sneaky figures would see a very tall and handsome butler waiting by the back door where the servants usually go in and out of. Right now, however, it was too early for the staff to wake up yet. He raised a thin brow and once the twins talked, he grinned handsomely; opening the door to let them in and followed suit.

"Welcome back, you two. I see that you have brought a new guest." The man tensed up when Sebastian glanced at him then relaxed as he held out a gloved hand. "H-Hello, my name is Earnest Caramel. Nice to meet you-" With a loud thud echoing in the empty kitchen, Earnest dropped the chair and shook his hand. Albeit nervously. Wincing from the echo.

". . . Sebastian Micheals. Charmed. Now, please explain why you have a plain chair?" The butler looked over at the twins as Earnest froze again. His grip on the chair tightened.

"This is the assassin that tried to kill my brother, he's disguised as a chair for now." said Seth, patting the seat. "Thanks for waiting for us, Sebastian, do you have a vacancy in the Spades dungeon?"

Seth asked Earnest Caramel to join them to the dungeon. He told him that there is no way a prisoner, only that they need him as they interrogate the assassin. The twins were well aware that they've been up all night, and who knows what stress Earnest had been enduring all this time, but they asked him to allow them to ask him questions because the sooner they can get a grasp of the whole situation, the sooner they can act and rescue his kids.

Sen asked Sebastian if he would please wake up Minnie, Serena, tell the princess that they caught the assassin, and perhaps bring some comforting food for Earnest and for the twins themselves. He did not give any details to the servants, only trusting Sebastian with more in depth information; Seth meanwhile checked the dungeon and had the 'chair' secured. He was on guard, never leaving it out of his sight. Sen then went to Earnest, bringing him to another dungeon room away from earshot and started to ask him who is that assassin, why he has his kids, where were his kids, and what do his kids look like.

If Serena and Minnie came down, Seth would tell them what had happened including Sen spilling some acid poison finger, and that he's gonna need Serena's help later to get the truth out of this assassin. "Sen's interrogating Earnest first, we plan to hear what he has to say before talking to this scum." he kicked the chair.

-Earnest Caramel-
"Underground dungeon, Spade's castle"

Sebastian lead the twins and Earnest down to the castle's dungeon. The cold walls can chill a man, giving goosebumps on skin and hairs standing up. There were several and creative ways of holding prisoners, obviously someone had too much time in their hands to design the small dank rooms. Ice cold metal bars reached high up to the stone ceilings. The only light source is torches that are held on the wall stands, lit up with unnatural purple flames.

In another dungeon, Earnest is jittery, rubbing his arm and sighing as he pondered and standing with the calmer twin. Sen can tell that he is hesitating before answering his questions. "That assassin use to be the cook for the deceased Hearts' royals. His group has my children hostage so I can work for him. I don't know where they are - - - I mean . . . the last time I saw them was a few years ago, in the State of Hearts." The man looked like he wanted to cry, tired baggy eyes wet and shiny and filled with guilt and worry; love of a parent. Then when Sen asked of how his children looked like, Earnest weakly smiled.

"Three Daughters. All of them with black wavy hair and bright green eyes. Their names are Emily, Ellie, and Pepita. The oldest is Emily, she's twelve. Ellie is ten, and Pepita is five." Earnest looked at Sen with a desperate frown, pleading. He held his hands together as if praying. "Please-! I will help in anyway I can as long I get to hug my daughters again-! Please help me find and get them back-!"

Meanwhile Seth can hear footsteps echoing in the hallways; a familiar pair pitter-patting on the cold floors along with a calmer set. A jingle of keys and then-

"Seth-! My red apple, you're okay-!" Serena hugged her beau from behind, kissing the back of his neck adoringly as she squeezed his torso. Minnie looked around and stared at the chair dully.

"Why is there a chair and why is it tied up?" She asked. After Seth explained as to what happened, the sniper looked apprehensive again, asking if Sebastian can get a first-aid kit for her as he gets the princess. Which he agreed to do and left the trio alone with said scum bag. Minnie narrowed her eyes at the alive object as it stumbled from the kick for a second. She walked to said chair and continued to glare fiercely; Seth would notice that the girls are still in their pajamas. Serena's a soft peachy pink gown that reached down to her knees and with spegetti-like string holding onto her shoulders. Minnie is wearing her usual bandages and soft shorts, now with a maroon robe to keep her warm from the chill.

If Seth ever asked why they didn't change, Serena would say: "Oh! We were having a comfort sleepover . . . though we didn't sleep at all . . . Heheh . . ."

- Seth & Sen Pendragon -
" Spade's Castle "

"The princess isn't in to torture, is she?" asked Seth before Sebastian left, wondering who designed the small dank rooms.

In the room with Earnest, Sen offered the man the most comfortable chair he could find, looking around the place if there was at least any water. "We will. Do you know what the assassin's name is? And the people he's working with? Has he ever frequently brought you to a location, and could you tell me what that was all about back at the black market? What were you two doing there?" He was basically asking him everything he knew, emphasizing that the soonest he knew everything Earnest knew, even the smallest of things, the sooner they can start searching for his kids in the State of Hearts.

In the room with the chair, Seth smiled when he saw Serena and held her arms when she hugged him. "Hai, we're okay." he said, softly. He had somewhat tired bags under his eyes for not having slept yet. Then he noticed what she was wearing, and immediately took off his cloak and wrapped it around her shoulders. He did ask why they didn't change, and just rubbed her cheek comfortingly when he realized how worried she was.

"You might wanna get your scary face on, Minnie." he added, "When you're all ready, and when the princess gets here, I'm going to dispel the magic. Sen's talking to Earnest Caramel, a new ally of ours, he'll probably be the one asking this guy questions later."

-Serena Lock-
"Spade's castle"

"That is the charming part about the Princess . . . Excuse me." Sebastian hinted to Seth as he left the hallway and up the stairs.

With Sen in the room, the older man sat down on the offered chair, nodding in thanks. "No. He would never tell me what his name is, all I know is that he used to be the chef of the Hearts Royals. The people he works with . . ." Earnest looked disturbed and visibly shuddered.

"They are brainwashed by one person and one person only. I don't know who she is or what her name is. I worked under the assassin, so I don't know much about this lady." The older man frowned. "But-! I do know that the group of people under her, the loyal ones, wear the red cloaks and a red heart tattoo somewhere on their bodies. A-and that she's planning something really big against the pri-princess of Spades in a big event that's happening in two days."

"Why I was in the black market . . . the assassin was looking for a doctor and I was there to help search for him. I've only met him a coupe of times, but . . . the guy is creepy. Always laughs and wears a monocle." Earnest said. "I was trying to convince the assassin to give up on the crazy guy. Really, I didn't want to be there and be near him."

Meanwhile, back in the jail cell with Seth, Serena smiled warmly. Rubbing her cheek with his as she pulled his cloak and covered herself more. Then she blinked at the mention of an ally. "O-Okay, should I play in case the . . . the chair lies?"

Minnie pulled up her sleeve and put in a bullet magazine in her arm after opening her elbow plate. The clicks from her rifle arm sounded ominous and Serena swore that she saw the chair trembling a bit. After Sen is done with questioning Earnest, he would see Sebastian with Princess Milk marching in.

"I heard that you have caught the assassin and he's a chair? Hello, Earnest." Milk nodded at the shaky man who bowed his head low. "Greetings, Princess."

Sebastian's answer had made Sen's eyebrow rise, wondering if Princess Milk is the opposite of Minnie, who was scary on the outside, but cute in the inside; Seth had chuckled saying he can relate to that, as he remembered those times Serena was a volcano.

Seth nodded at Serena. "Yes, please." Then he paused. "If someone came in and saw us around this chair that's tied up, Serena, Minnie, they're going to think something strange is up." he chuckled.

When the princess came, Sen bowed too, then told her about Earnest's situation with his kids and gave her a summary of the important details, encouraging the older man to talk. When he heard about the doctor, Sen was glad he had stolen the ledger and letters. He was eager to go through them, but, one at a time, their interrogation with the assassin must come first.

"And so that's all he knows. We'll be talking to Mr. Chair next. Maybe we can bargain with him princess, there must be something he wants that we can give double in exchange for information." He rose and asked everyone to follow him outside.

When he saw Minnie he was relieved to see her, and hugged her. "We're okay. See? Told you we'd be alright."

When everyone was gathered around the chair, Seth had the torches in the room blown out, and then turned on a bright arcane lamp that shone straight at the seat of the chair so that they all looked like black silhouettes to the man, and then he dispelled the spell.

Princess Milk smiled warmly at Sen and Earnest. "Oh yes. Quite."

Serena cackled quietly, agreeing that, yea, people would look at them strangely for torturing a chair. "Ah well." She shrugged it off.

Minnie, however, passively looked at Seth and said "Wouldn't be the first time something made us look strange while we were alert." Referencing the twins wearing a pineapple and banana costumes. When Sen came in with everyone behind him, the sniper relaxed for a moment and hugged him back. Nuzzling her pink face in his shoulder and neck. With a subtle nod, she looked up and into his contact-covered green eyes with a soft smile.

"I'm so happy that you proved me wrong, Sen." She squeezed and comfortingly rubbed his back with her hands.

As the flames were blown out, with just an arcane lamp dimly lighting the room, the chair wiggled and -

Poof-!

A man, in his late fifties, landed on his bum, confused as to what's happening. He looked around to see the silhouettes and went on his guard, growling. ". . ." He struggled against the binds on him. He paused when suddenly he can hear a violin playing ever so sweetly in the room.

"Shut that blasted sound-!" He yelled at the silhouettes.

Sen nodded at Serena to do as the man said, then pressed a finger on his lips at the princess, gesturing to her not to speak for now.

He stepped into the light, still in disguise, his expression that of a reasonable negotiator who didn't want to kill for information, but he had a limit. He needed to know things today.

He showed the man the note that had been stuck to the dagger that almost stabbed him. "Why? The peace treaty would help the state of Hearts the most. Are you doing this for money? Because we can give double whatever was offered to you and give you potection."

Serena pouted, crossing her arms as she silently watched Sen do his thing. Honestly she just wanted help the guy to relax.

Milk stayed quiet as the assassin 'tsk'-ed. "Money got nothing to do with my cause. It's too late for your worthless money." He narrowed his eyes into slits.

"I should've killed the Princess when I had the chance in the airship, but you moved her away in the last second-"

"It's what her parents and her didn't do-!" The former chef now glared at the silhouettes, trying to see if the princess is there or not. "I thought she was going to search for her betrothed, at least. I thought the Spade's were going to help my State, but that didn't happen for years-!"

"Now the State of Hearts is in ruins and lifeless. Everyone living there are hungry and dying of illnesses. Spades, Diamonds, and Clubs never cared for Hearts' citizens-!" Grief-stricken, Milk took a step forward only to be stopped by a grim Sebastian, gesturing her to stay quiet for now. The princess nodded subtly and frowned.

"Even when everyone asked for permission to leave, none of them let us leave-! None of the other States wanted to let Hearts' citizen go in their own States. They sealed us in with those huge gates-! That's why I want to kill all of the Royals; they are the reason why my wife died of illness-!" Serena slightly flinched back, lightly bumping into Seth as she covered her gaping mouth with her hand.

She can tell. He isn't lying . . . The tone of his voice is too hateful for it to be an act.

"My eastern blue, please send another letter to my brother and sister dear for post-war aid to the State of Hearts. As much food, medicine, and healers as they can immediately. Please tell him we'll be investigating the economical status of the state to better asses their needs and give a report by this weekend. Please write a second letter too to our crew, that we need a team of sixty engineers, carpenters, masonry warlocks, and all the necessary materials for building temporary shelters, digging and building pipes into the underground water bed." said Sen promptly.

He turned back the man, thinking about his expensive cloak, expensive acid, despite coming from a war impoverished state, and the fact that he got out of it when it was sealed shut too.

"Please play your violin, Serena. Unfortunately we know its people from the State of Hearts who are behind this. When you kill the princess, your impoverished state will face outrage from the State of Spades, they love the princess here. War at the worse. More deaths of your people who are probably too sick or hungry to fight back. Annihilation. Or at the least, your people fights back, but the state of Hearts will be forced to tax its people for resources to sustain its fight against Spades. War is expensive and takes a toll on its people. You will have to cut trees to feed your forges, and take from those who can't fight food for your soldiers. Your land will be eaten up to fuel the battles, it won't be recovering." he said grimly.

"Right now the knowledge that it is people from the State of Hearts doing this hasn't been leaked out into the public. Is it possible that instead of making it worse for your people, we can talk and figure out a way to give aid? My name is Sen Pendragon." He took off his diguise. " I'm a member of the Order and guild master of the Cool Beans Guild that helped Queen Mia of the House of Montegue recover the economy of her kingdom. My guild established trade between the Orients and the people beyond the Storm Wall, and my sister and our friend regrew the forests. I can help you, and I have kind friends who will help you and the State of Hearts."

"I only ask for help stopping this assassination. I am willing to talk to your leader, and I am willing to come alone."

Violin strings vibrated as Serena's bow pressured a melodious sound echoing within the room.

The former chef stayed quiet, staring at Sen as if he's contemplating. ". . . Why are you willing to help a bunch of strangers? Why go so far, hmm?" Then he snorted, looking away from him. "Let me guess. So you can be a showboat? To show-off to your 'Eastern Blue'? What a joke."

Sen can hear a rifle gun click with a quiet growl. With a familiar pressure of a hunter ready to strike it's prey.

"I will not help an ally to a tarot roy-!"

Annnnnd an unfamiliar intimidating aura shut the man up in fear, suddenly feeling like he's about to meet a demon. If Sen looked back, he notice how tense Milk was and how Sebastian quietly sighed; like he knew what's about to happen to the assassin if he isn't careful with his words. Minnie is scowling against with a gleam in her eyes that promised pain.

Sen wanted to retort that there was no point in impressing Minnie since she knew him inside and out, but he just patiently looked at the man, feeling doubts creep into his mind that perhaps this man doesn't care about the people of the Hearts the most.

"I'm doing this because I pity your people." he said. "I've seen what it's like, traveling in the Jaharian empire during the war. Bandits everywhere, raiding villages, mounds of bodies burning outside towns because there is no space in the graveyards anymore. People carrying the dead bodies of their loved ones to bury or burn them properly because they didn't want to leave them in the sun for the dogs and the carrion."

"I can't convince you more than my words, if there is nothing we can do for each other, then we're not going to go anywhere. Especially you. This is your last chance to have a reasonable conversation. What do you want or what do you want to negotiate with us?"

At the mention of people carrying dead bodies of loved ones, the assassin looked back at Sen. A little gleam of empathy and sorrow shown as he sighed heavily. His shoulders slumped.

". . . I see . . . " Seems like he went through something similar and the reminder instantly crushed his vengeful will. Serena's violin hasn't screeched yet either. "Fine . . . If you aren't lying and really are willing to help the rest, then . . . I suppose I'll negotiate."
