(poor bb XD at least Darron gets love and Danny can rest knowing Darron has made peace with the past)
Lance returned his hand to Akira's nape, and slipped his other arm around his waist instinctively for the last one. He retracted the one on the other's neck to weave his words. "I'm assuming that was okay? Sorry I didn't ask first, I'm not very good at talking either apparently." He smiled, happy to have Akira so close to him. He gently squeezed the other to him and pressed their foreheads together, he couldn't get the stupid grin off of his face.

Akira - Cuddling Ensues - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira smiled at Lance before responding "That was a lot more then okay." He pressed his hands softly against Lance's chest, wanting to hold something of the other but realizing he wouldn't be able to fully wrap his arms around their waist. He let out a little chuckle when Lance had said he wasn't that good at speaking either. Akira was sure he had his own stupid grin, and he was glad he could share it with Lance. Akira, for once in his life, felt like someone got him. And he was never letting that someone go again.

Lance had moved both of his arms around Akira this time, and kissed his cheek. Then his temple, then his ear... he really couldn't get enough, could he? "I'm gonna ask you to do something a little strange, so I need you to trust me. My foster parents are outside the door and I really don't want to see them, so sneak out with me through the window. I'd owe you a really big favor~" He knew Akira would be hesitant about his injury, but his injuries were likely to get a lot worse if he saw his parents again, moreso if they had seen him with another man. He'd choose Akira over anyone, especially over his foster parents. The adventure of getting away from them again, this time with someone he loved in hand, thrilled him. K KodomoSekai

Akira - If Lance'll be his Romeo, Akira'll be his Cinderella - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira found himself leaning into where ever Lance was kissing, seeming to love the fact Lance was unable to get enough. He wondered if Lance would be so affectionate all the time. Usually Akira didn't really find public displays of affection all that comforting, he usually got annoyed at couples who did those sorts of things, but if Lance was going to be this sweet all the time... Akira was sure he'd be able to get used to it.

That said, as Lance asked him to sneak out the window with him Akira was somewhat confused. He understood the desire not to see one's parents, he was sure his would absolutely loath him right about now, but what could be so bad that he needed to leave through the window with an injury? Of course Akira was hesitant, but if Lance was asking him to do it- Akira would follow without question. "Alright." Akira spoke very plainly, "What do you need me to do?" He'd just have to ask why later.

"I'll go out first, then you follow behind me. I'll help you get down. Then take my hand and don't look back. Make sure you crouch down, we'll go around back and hang out in the forest. Just follow my lead. They'll look for me at the office and at our room, but they'll give up in an hour or two. They'll put in enough effort to make it seem like they care, but they don't actually care enough to stick around. Is that alright?" He rubbed Akira's back, slightly disheartened that he'd have to give up this closeness he'd been waiting for, even if only for a few minutes. K KodomoSekai

Akira - Plans to Escape Hand in Hand - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira nodded at Lance. The plan sounded solid enough, though he didn't want to separate from Lance he knew this would be for the best. They could do as much cuddling as they wanted when they were done with their plan anyways. He just hoped Lance would still be in the mood for snuggling after the escape. Akira may have never admitted this to any soul, but he really liked being affectionate. Especially with Lance. Lance was just like a big teddy bear, incredibly huggable and very warm. Akira found himself speaking "Alright."

(He really is a giant teddy bear, he's so good XD)
Lance looked towards the door, making sure they weren't about to get caught. His parents had started yelling, "This is ridiculous! We're well aware we still have 2 weeks on our restraining order but that was all a little misunderstanding! Surely if we could just talk to our son he'd happily get it removed! It was those stupid snowflake social workers, no idea how to discipline children anymore! All their kids will grow up weak! Ever since we let him go, he's gotten weak! This kind of thing would never have happened if he had stayed with us! We need to be there, so we can show him how to be strong again. Who are you to tell us we can't see our son?!"
Lance sighed, thankful that their yelling had prevented them from hearing him open the window and climbing out. He outstretched his arms to the window and lifted Akira down on the grass. So far so good. They both crouched down and went around the wall when there was a loud crash. Apparently they had pushed their way into the room. Lance froze, clinging to Akira's hand for life. "Where is he?! Dammit Mitchell, I thought we had him this time. That little shit needs to pay for all he cost us! The lawyers, the fines, the moving company... Not to mention all the food and clothes we bought him! That stuff wasn't cheap with him growing like the damn monster he was!"
"Shut up, Stacy! If the staff hear you we'll never find him! We'll make him pay for everything, and he'll regret ever having left our house, but first you have to shut the hell up! " There was Mitchell.
"This is all your fault! You were too soft with him! I told you we should've been harder on him. You kept giving him food after a week when we said we wouldn't feed him for 2, you let him look down on us!"
"I said shut up!" A slap, then silence. Lance couldn't move. He was frozen, caught by his memories of that house and trapped in the nightmare of having to go back. "He couldn't have gotten far, he has a head injury. Let's check his room." Stacy had apparently agreed, as they heard the door to the office shut quietly. Lance, however, was in a full blown episode. He wouldn't go back to that house. He couldn't. He'd never see Akira or Danny or anyone else again. He'd sooner die.

Akira - Escape of Lance, the Teddy Bear- ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira slipped out of the window and into Lance's arms as he heard the yelling, already flinching due to simply how loud it was. He could feel Lance clinging to his hand and he couldn't help but squeeze back. His parents were just too loud. His ears were simply too sensitive for this trash, and he could very clearly see what was going on in his mind. Some things you could simply tell from just listening, like how Akira could tell these people were not nice. His guess was only correct as he listened to them talk about Lance like he was some kind of monster.

How could that be? Did they even know him? Lance was the sweetest big boi in town! He was amazing, and anyone would be lucky to have him. Even just hearing them say they were 'too soft' with him when talking about starving him made Akira want to throw up. Akira felt a burning anger inside him, but he knew he wouldn't be able to take anyone in a fight. That said, it didn't stop him from having the desire to knock someone out. He looked over to Lance to his reaction, they... didn't look so hot. Akira couldn't blame him- he wouldn't feel so hot if he was facing that.

"Lance..." Akira spoke gently. He softly tugged at the others hand in an attempt to get them to move. They had to leave here. They had to get away, even Akira could tell they should leave. To the forest, continue with the original plan, right? They'd be safe, so long as they stuck together. No matter what, Akira wasn't going to let anything take Lance from him. "Let's go." Akira said more firmly this time.

Lance was snapped out of his trance by Akira, and he nodded. He kissed Akira's hand in thanks before they'd continue on their way towards the forest. His foster parents were human, they weren't like him. They couldn't hear like him. They could both scream right there and they wouldn't hear. When they'd finally gotten to a clearing, Lance had turned to him. "I'm sorry you had to hear that. I haven't seen them in years, not even heard from them so I guess when I finally heard them again after all this time I... panicked. I'm sorry, I almost blew the whole thing." Lance thought about what might have happened if they had been caught, if he'd been caught with Akira. Anger swelled in him. It was one thing for them to hurt him, but if they had even looked at Akira the wrong way, he- no. They didn't matter anymore. They weren't here. Akira was. He was alone, with Akira. Suddenly everything that had happened caught up to him. His brazenness, Akira's second confession, his body pressed against the other. Oh God, he's corrupted this innocent boy. He couldn't believe he did that. Lance let go of Akira's hand to sit on the ground, his hand covering his downcast eyes as his face flushed in embarrassment.

Akira - It's Not Like He Already Told You He Liked You... - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira sighed as Lance apologized "It's fine. I would have frozen too." Akira almost had froze. They were just so- loud, and it was not pleasant for him to listen too. Thinking about it sent shivers down his spine. Sure, his own parents had been pretty loud but they quieted down the older he got. He doubted he'd fully ever understand Lance's plight with those awful people. He was probably the only one who hadn't had significant trauma in his past or without any obvious differences. Honestly Akira wasn't even sure if there was anything that made him special among the others, even if he thought of music that was only out of an adaptive need to communicate. Humans were social creatures and being born unable to understand any of them in any usual way was, needless to say, not fun.

At the very least, he had Lance and they seemed to understand. Even if it was only the base understanding, it was still far more then what Akira had gotten throughout most of his life. So now that Lance had let go of his hand and was now seated on the ground with his hand covering his eyes instead, Akira was very confused. Akira sat down next to him and stared very questioningly at him. "Why'd you let go?" He asked fairly bluntly.

(That song is killing me XD)
Lance looked to him, still a bit flushed but retook Akira's hand again and kissed his palm before intertwining his fingers with his. "Sorry, I didn't want to yank you down to the ground with me." He paused for a moment before his next words glowed softly. "Hey, can I ask you what your family is like? If you don't want to talk about it just say so and we won't." Lance was hesitant to get into this conversation, but Akira had already heard everything he needed to know about his family just then. If he had any questions, he was of course welcome to ask, but there wasn't much more outside of what he already knew. He had half a mind to tackle the other to the ground and bury himself in the other's scent and warmth. His presence was the only thing keeping him from running off to his boss's apartment and hiding there for a week. If he came back (without Akira), it would have been for his friends, but he couldn't bear to be apart that long from Akira. He'd gotten too close. He kept to himself though, he knew tackling him at his size could hurt Akira.

Akira - Sorry About Your Family - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira sighed as Lance retook his hand. He had a feeling they were going to end up being that couple. Akira really couldn't bring himself to mind all that much. He cared so much for Lance- what was wrong with showing it to others? ...They were definitely going to be that couple. Mark Akira's songs, they would be. Akira was a bit taken back by how Lance wanted him to tell him about his family. Why was he curious? His family hadn't been too remarkable. Maybe it would help take Lance's mind off the other, far worse, family? Akira sighed to himself as he leaned on Lance's arm, he supposed it didn't hurt to talk about them.

"They're pretty normal for most families. They were always trying to push me into doing stuff like a 'normal kid', and they weren't the most understanding. But their heart's were in the right place." Akira hummed in thought, trying to think of anything in particular he could tell Lance about his family. "They'd probably love you if they were fine with me dating you." Akira's voice trailed off at the end. Great. Now he was starting to feel homesick. He'd never really once thought of calling them since he'd gotten there, but maybe now he should? It wasn't like they were necessarily bad people, and meeting everyone here and finding out about their sob stories was making him miss his normal family. At least he knew his family loved him, and he may have been embarrassed to say it back but at least he could.

"Mom would say something like 'Just make sure he eats three meals a day and make sure he sleeps' and dad would stare at you then tell you to 'take care of his son' then threaten your life if you didn't or something like that." Akira found himself smiling at the thought of taking Lance home to meet his parents in an idealized world. He then sighed as realization struck. That really only was the ideal world. In reality, his parents would be against Lance only because Lance was a Lance and not a Lana. His face had gone blank as he leaned into Lance. At least he could still have the actual Lance, with or without their permission. Yet Akira couldn't help but still wish his family would accept them.

(I like your song choices lol)
Lance kissed his head and smiled, happy Akira had enjoyed a normal life, with family that didn't hurt him. He moved Akira into the space between his legs and wrapped his arms around him, weaving his words on the grass in front of them. "Maybe we could tell them together one day. Worse comes to worst, you'll be stuck with just me. I just hope they love you enough to not take it too hard. Who knows, maybe they'll even learn to accept it. One day I want to say this to them directly, but if you don't want to involve them then I'll just say it to you: I'm gonna make sure you eat. I'll take care of you, protect you, and do everything I can to make you happy. That, I can promise you." He rested his head on Akira's shoulder, sighing contentedly.

Akira - Blushifying INTENSIFIES - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira blushed as his head was kissed and he was moved. His blush intensified as he read what Lance had wrote. Had he really meant that? Yet Akira could feel that he did. Akira smiled at Lance's words, softly chuckling at the line about making sure he ate. Though, the entire thing warmed his heart. "I... want to make you happy too." Akira softly nuzzled Lance's cheek as he responded. He was blushing brightly at this point, he just couldn't help himself. Lance was too sweet for life. How Akira had managed to get him was anyone's guess, but he was never letting anyone touch him. Ever. If he and Lance weren't that couple, Akira was pretty sure the universe had cheated him of something.

Lance's heartbeat had quickened in his chest at Akira's voice, both at his words and at how close it was. It was quiet and sweet, reminding him of milk and honey. It was about time for them to go back inside. He wanted to go straight back to the dorm and make good on his promise to keep Akira fed, but were his parents still here? He held his chin in thought and sighed at having to move again. He wondered if he could ask Akira to share his bed tonight so they could cuddle and he wouldn't have to keep letting go of him to move somewhere else, but decided getting him home and out of the cold night air was the priority. He thought up a plan. "Sorry to do this, but I think we're going to have to sneak back in. They should be gone by now, but I won't risk us getting caught. Especially not you. We're going to sneak back to the front office, and I'd like you to wait for me there. I'm going to go up, and I'll text you and let you know when it's clear. Is that alright?" He was truly thankful Akira was being so patient and understanding with this. Lance promised himself he'd do something extra special to thank him for it, but what? What did he have to give to Akira? He still had no idea what Akira saw in him. He wasn't skilled at anything other than exercising and cooking. He could make him something, but that wasn't good enough. Lance cooks all the time, he has to do something better. He'd think about it later, right now he needed to get Akira home. They shouldn't be out in the woods this late at night.

Akira - Heartbeat Heartbeat - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira could hear the sound of Lance's heartbeat given how close they were. It was such a nice sound- even with the quicker pace, Akira loved every beat. He didn't want to leave his comfortable spot between Lance's legs, he quite liked being cuddled this close to the other, but he realized they'd have to head back to their dorms eventually. Lance seemed to have realized it too, given how he said they were going to have to sneak back in. "Okay. Be careful, alright?" Akira nuzzled him one last time, before reluctantly separating himself from the other. He didn't want Lance to go without him, he genuinely loathed the idea really, but he knew it'd be better to just let him do it his way and then snuggle him to death when they got back at their dorm. After this was all over Lance was never leaving Akira's arms again! Or well, he was never leaving Lance's, since he couldn't exactly wrap his arms around the other...
But the details weren't important! All that mattered was that Akira was promising to never leave Lance's side again, even if it were internal.

Lance nodded, "Of course." He took Akira's hand again and crouched down. No signs of them when they'd made it to the front desk, good. No one was there at that time of night either. He stole a few kisses in a brief goodbye before heading upstairs. This was going to be a problem, wasn't it? He'd really have to learn to just take one. He had almost asked Akira to stop letting him indulge himself so much, but knowing him he'd let him anyway. Lance smiled to himself as he made his way to the dorms. He'd unlocked the door and found the room empty. He was surprised, he had at least expected Darron to be here. He remembered that he had a friend with him earlier, but only vaguely. His memories of earlier were still a little hazy. He remembered the gist but the details were foggy.
He texted Akira and put his cake away from earlier, having been left untouched since he last saw it. He sighed in relief, then set to work on a proper dinner. Yeah, it was late and they had class in the morning, but he had a promise to keep and dammit he was going to do it. As he started to cook, he tried to recall the day's events, and flushed at his memory of the misunderstanding he had, and what Akira had told him. His project was for him. The song he'd been working so hard on, it was for him. His heart ached in guilt at having been so upset with him. Akira had been so patient and understanding when Lance needed him to, he should have given that same respect in return. Could things have gone differently? Lance shook his head. What's done is done. Akira knew he loved him, and he could say with full certainty that Akira loved him too. He smiled as he went to work, his tail swishing happily, deciding on an Eastern dish for that night- fried egg and pork chop over brown rice (he didn't like using white rice, it wasn't healthy by any means), Lance's with peppers and hot sauce.

Akira - Satisfied - ( SmallSailboat SmallSailboat )

Akira made his way back up to the dorm to find Lance was cooking. This late? Was he crazy-? Then Akira remembered how he said he'd be cooking for him, and sighed. He honestly was fine with going to bed without eating anything, he was pretty tired both emotionally and physically and just wanted the day to be over with. So much had happened in the span of one night, and Akira was feeling somewhat overwhelmed as the weight of everything finally seemed to crash on him. He didn't want Lance's cooking to go to waste- but it wouldn't be done for a little while, right? How would he pass the time? He was too tired to do anything other then stand, sit, or lie down, and Akira was pretty sure if he did either of the latter two activities that he'd pass out on the spot without something else to distract him.

That was when he saw his keyboard all over again, just sitting there, all sad and lonely. The poor instrument. It looked like it was begging to be played, and Akira really didn't have anything better to do while he waited. So he found himself sitting behind it. Akira softly touched the keys to make sure they were still tuned the same way he remembered them- he hadn't played in a while, since he'd left for this school actually. That felt like such a long time ago. He straightened out his back and took a deep breath as he began to play, something he only vaguely remembered learning yet had stuck out in his mind as so beautiful his hands had committed it to memory. He wasn't really thinking as he played, just trying to keep himself awake.
