Ryder and Sable walked out together, shoulder to shoulder. Something about this felt so right. Like old times. The two were going on a mission together, scanning the streets. She would be lying to herself to say she didn't miss those times. Heading to an alley way, Ryder and Sable finally stopped, looking around for any potential spies. Ryder scanned the area for listening devices before saying, "Alright. We're secure."
Sable leaned against the wall, "So... what's going on?"
Ryder opened the envelope to show pictures of dead children leaning up against a wall, their mouth gagged and hands tied, holes in their heads with blood running down their faces. He handed them to Sable who shuffled through them as he explained, "These were sent to Piper two days ago. The West Crows took three of our children. Three bright mutants with exceptional abilities. The boys are 8 and 12, the girl is 11. The killed them execution style."
"What?" Sable looked sad. She had seen worse, still, it always upset her to look at children who ended up how she could have at any second.
