Rex

Rex stopped laughing when he saw Richard getting really mad, suddenly yelling at them to get out. Rex took his brother’s hand and began to walk out of the pub, he knew the adults had enough of them. He kept ahold of Tex’s hand until they were safely away from the building. He let go, observing the chaos from the outside and let out a laugh, even though he was already plotting on revenge.

“Don’t worry, bro…. I’ll get them back for yelling at you…..” Rex would become especially evil when people he felt were mean to his brother, he was all the kid had and he was definitely going to have to take care of that teacher. “Miss Camilla doesn’t know who she’s messing with…..”

Steve Adams

Steve was rather annoyed by Cathal’s comment, he prided himself on knowing how to handle women. For some reason when it came to Marielle, it was a little more difficult and the only explanation he could figure was that she was the first woman he actually liked for more than her beauty. “That’s understandable, well if you have time—“ was interrupted by the commotion outside, sounding like it was coming from the pub.

“Give me a holler, better go check out what this is all about!” With that he nodded his head towards two other people and left the building. He walked over to the pub and saw Richard’s annoying nephews standing outside and knew at that moment they had probably caused some kind of problem.

“What is going on here?” Steve said, he really didn’t care that Richard seem to be at his wits end, Steve would only probably add to that. “Can you not keep your nephews under control? Honestly, never seen such annoying reckless children….. You should probably just send them back to their mother!”

"Bye Steve!" Cathal called after him. "Let me see what I've got here," Cathal said, pulling the rubber band off of the bundle and sifting through it. "Junk, catalogue, junk--aha!" He pulled the envelope out of the pile and flipped it so Mariella could read the return address. "This it?" he asked. There was definitely a commotion going on over at the pub, but he thought it could wait.

Marcus walked towards the general store at a brisk pace. Normally the shop would have been open by now, but this morning he'd slept through his alarm. He started to gradually increase the pace of his walk, until he was outright sprinting.
Luckily, few people did their shopping this early so there was a pretty decent chance that nobody would notice this whole mess. When he arrived at the general store, Marcus breathed a sigh of relief. As far as he could tell, there were no potential customers in sight. He began to whistle as he walked over the store and unlocked the front door. "This day might turn out to be fairly decent, after all." he mumbled to himself as he entered the store.

She watched as Richie went into the back room. "What about these rats?!" She then watched as the kids left. "You damn kids!" Willow had lost all her cool which she hated doing. "Ugh!" She looked around on the floor to make sure there weren't any rats around as got off the bar. Her eyes went to the back room. She knew he was pissed but dang it he needed to care of this. Cause once more women start coming up in here she won't be the only one screaming. She walked into the back room and put her hands on her hips when she saw the bottle in his hand. "What are doing? Seriously come one give me that." She snatched the bottle from his hands. "Instead of drinking you need to go get some traps and take care of this problem. Are you listening to me?" She then looked at the bottle. "Oh Is this vodka?" She tempted to take sip but thought best not to. She save the drinking for tonight. She usually only drank on the nights she performed cause it usually turned into a big party. Se suddenly heard someone yelling from the front it was the mayor. The comment he made though was not a smart thing to say. "Oh no....."

Tex

Tex snickered silently to himself as he watched the rodents scurry all over the floor of the bar dodging between the peoples legs. Flinching though once he heard his named by both his uncle and his teacher, holding onto his twin's hand as he followed him out. The young boy glanced in the window watching the chaos commence of the rats, before turning to his brother nodding in agreement that revenge should be taken upon them.

He raised his hands quietly signalling his twin that they should go to the secret hideout and plan.

"Oh. Good luck, Mister Mayor!" Marielle waved before turning her attention to the address on the envelope. She couldn't help but squee a little as she nodded. She loved getting letters from her sister just as much as Isabelle did. "That's it! Isabelle's going to be so happy. She really could use some news from her mother. It's really a shame she got a little sick and had to stay inside all day yesterday." She frowned a little. She really worried about the child a lot. She should really take Isabelle to see Esther or Miss Anne later today.

Shaking her head, she put a smile on her face. Isabelle had been feeling better today. So she shouldn't worry too much for a while. "Thank you, Cathal. I hope things are okay out there. It sounded pretty noisy." She could only guess that the terrible twosome, Tex and Rex, were up to their old tricks again. After all, no one else in the village could seem to match the amount of mischief that they could muster.

Atlas Simons
Coming up by the General Store

Atlas walked down the stairs to his shop, yawning. He usually woke up later then the rest of the town. His job allowed him to work whenever he wanted really, and that was often in the afternoon or night. It was still morning now, though, and he already had some errands to run. He quickly gobbled down a piece of baguette with butter, running out the door.

He made a mental list in his head of things he needed to get that day. More bread, milk, a jug of water (his father liked to drink fresh water, and that was the least he could do for him), cheese, mushrooms and some pasta. He had sauce at home, but he was also craving something a bit sweet. Maybe some cakes from the bakery? His mother loved sweets more than anyone else he knew. Atlas wouldn't call himself wealthy, but he was definitely one of the more well-off people in town. He had a monopoly over the blacksmiths in town, considering he was the only one, and while he did give many people in the town a good bargain, it still cost a pretty penny for some of the higher level upgrades that people wanted.

Atlas noticed a commotion going on inside the pub, with Richard's two nephews standing outside. He didn't have time to go in and see what was up, but maybe he would stop by later in the evening to get the scoop. He frequented the pub for a good drink and some company, and despite Richard's drinking habits he had a soft spot for the guy. He felt Richard was a bit misunderstood, and living in the town for his entire life, Atlas had heard some sad things about the guy, so Atlas never tried to give Richard a hard time and always tipped well if he was working behind the bar. Plus, Atlas had a little thing for Willow, the dancer there, so he didn't mind coming it anyways.

He made his way to the general store, where Marcus was unlocking the front door. "Howdy, friend?" he called out as he approached the building.

"I'll take a look out there in a bit," Cathal said, peering out the window again. "And speaking of Isabelle," he added, and went searching through his pockets until he pulled out a handful of candy. "Don't tell her ma," he told Maribelle with a grin. He liked kids, and spoiling them a little was always fun.

Richard Bell Bertrand
Hucklebumble Pub & Inn

Richard groaned as Willow came into the back, snatching away his bottle and telling him what he should do. It was at moments like these that he really did not the woman, no matter how much good he meant her. "Leave me alone, Willow. I'm a grown man," he said, reaching back for the bottle. "I know I have things to do okay? Bu-" Richard paused at the sound of the Mayors voice. Richard was not fond of the mayor, primarily because the Mayor was not fond of Rex and Tex, and Richard was the only one allowed to be not fond of those two, at any point in time.

Richard only listened to the Mayor a moment before storming out of the back room, leaving Willow behind. He walked through the glass, still left on the floor, crunching his way up close with the mayor. "Listen Steve," Richard said, spit flying out of his mouth as he spoke. "You walk into my pub, and insult my nephews, you're going to have to deal with me. And, frankly, I don't give a rat's ass who you are, so don't pull that "I'm the mayor" shit with me," Richard said, the alcohol he had just drank fueling his anger.

  • Eloise Velite

Eloise had spent most of the morning fighting with the stove, even though it had been a simple problem and she eventually figured it out. The whole time she heard screaming, yelling, more yelling, some stuff shatter and even more yelling. She was trying to concentrate on what kind of breakfast people would want if they came in to order food, but it was kind of hard to concentrate when people were causing such a commotion. sHe kind of felt bad for Willow and Richard, because it was her guess that it was everybody else causing the trouble.

Eloise walked out and as soon as she Steve who she considered the worst person on the planet, she pointed her spatula at him. “Steven Adams! Get out of here before I kick your sorry little ass back to your mother’s! Richard is doing a fine job and Willow to remain focused for tonight, so everybody out!” She walked over to Steve and began smacking him with the spatula, causing him to be shoved out the door and nearly tripped on his way out.

“And don’t come back unless you plan on buying something!” With that Eloise walked back in and gave Richard a sympathetic smile. “Let the poor man have his drink…. After this morning I think everybody could use a drink….” Eloise said as she marched back in the kitchen.

Isabelle
Isabelle yawned softly as she opened her eyes. She sat up and got out of bed. It seemed as though her aunt had let her sleep in today, probably since she was a little under the weather yesterday. She smiled as she got dressed for the day. She was feeling much better today, which meant she could certainly go outside. The thought made her a little giddy. She hurried into the kitchen and grabbed a doughnut from the box on the counter. It wasn't the most healthy of breakfasts but it would do for now. After all, she was eager to get out and possibly water the flowers in the garden today. Maybe afterwards, she could stop by the flower shop to help her aunt out.

Marielle
"Tee hee. I won't." Marielle let out a laugh. The candy would definitely make Isabelle's day. Although the girl didn't have as much of a sweet tooth as she did, she always made sure to get her a little candy whenever she could. Suddenly, she remembered the mayor's order. It had totally slipped her mind. "I really should get this order for the mayor done soon. I want to deliver it before I go find Isabelle. Knowing her, she's probably up by now."

"Don't work too hard," Cathal advised her cheerfully, and gave into his curiosity, heading towards the pub to see what all the noise was about. Before he got there though, he saw Rex and Tex. They were probably responsible for a good ninety percent of the commotion, Cathal expected. He liked them intensely. "Hey. Hey hey hey," he called to them, scooting around closer and also out of sight of the pub's big widows. "I got you some presents," he said. "Don't tell your uncle," he added, more seriously than he'd given Maribelle the same warning, and pulled a handful of firecrackers out of his pockets. "Don't set 'em off inside, yeah?"

Willow stood in the back watching. That dumb mayor you think he learn his lesson by now. But she did get a good laugh with Eloise kicking him out. "Haha alright, alright drink away just to get to drunk. The real party is tonight." She said with a wink. She then walked towards the door and looked outside where the mayor was. "Hey honey come see us tonight promise everyone will be in a better mood." She said innocent slightly flirtatious tone.

Riley Donavan
general store

Riley had been up since dawn, feeding the mini truffle pigs and turning out her two big draft mules; Teddy and Erwin. She took the time to water the rose bush her mother had given her last year, then set breakfast and then pants. She had a bad habit of doing early morning chores in her night clothes. She sat down with her scrambled eggs and a not pad and started to plan.

Today was an errand day. So she wouldn't be seeing much of the wood shop, She had to get nails, and groceries, and return her copy of wonder woman to the library, and she had to order new tact for her boys- Teddy the elder of the mules had caught his harness on something out at the lumber yard. She blew her bangs up out of her face in frustration as she made the list and tallied her expenditures. She also had a couple fliers for her odd job business to put up in any shop they'd let her.

This wasn't counting that she had a big pine to take down for Mr. Harison tomorrow, and a roof to patch, and she had a commission from the city for a big four poster bed- she was going to have to cut a good big maple for that.

She put on her boots, put her carpenter pencil behind her ear and headed into town. She didn't think Atlas would even be up yet- so she hit the general store first. She saw the group at the pub and shaking her head just kept going. Small town like this, she'd hear about it soon enough.

“Mornin' Marcus,” She said, letting the store door shut and chime behind her. She started collecting her usual haul of groceries to the counter.“Gona need two cartons of cigarettes, one of those big boxes of borax you got back there “ She said pointing at the wears kept behind the counter. “And I'm gonna have to ask if you can special order some Tact for my hauling mules. I know Jenkins used to make it but Pa told me he's too old now.”

She was always down to business and brass tacks, if you knew her you knew she wasn't trying to be rude or anything. That's just how she was.

  • Rex

Rex nodded at his brother, but his mind was quickly persuaded otherwise when they saw Cathal he felt excitement and waved his hands wildly. “Hey Mr. Cathal! What you got for us?!” The man was always spoiling them with things that could get them into trouble, he was probably their favorite person. “Oh wow!” Rex explained as he took the firecrackers from the man, handing a few to his brother. “This is great! Are you done delivering the mail, Mr. Cathal? You want to play with us?” Rex was always eager to coax an adult play with them, but of course they never played tricks on Cathal.

  • Esther Morgan

Esther had been busy with Rina, frowning when she found out the cow with not producing milk. Everyone around had loved the taste of the milk Rina’s cow produce, especially Esther liked how much the kids in town drank.

Immediately she began to look through chapters about cows not producing milk, she then found out that when cows were in pain or anything they would stop. “All right, let’s go outside and take a look at the poor thing!” She was the first one to get up from the table, she quickly made her way outside and into the barn where the cow was.

She examined the cow earnestly, checking for any kind of ailment that might prevent her from giving milk. She took a look and noticed swelling on her stomach, it caused Esther to let out a little bit of laughter. “Oh, she will be producing plenty of milk in time! Your cow is going to be a new mother!” Esther said with excitement, clapping her hands and hugging Rina as she knew the girl would be excited.

Pub/ street
Camilla decided it was officially time to leave the pub, her mission had been a failure and it was time to venture to the clinic. Bidding those around her farewell she left with a heavy heart, while she respected the mayor it was crude of him to say such things. Hobbling to the fixer upper she saw Riley talking to Marcus and stopped momentarily. She had always admired the other for her strength and realized that should Riley see her she would think Camilla weak. The thought spurred the teacher to move faster.

"Good morning" Marcus replied back as he entered the store. Normally, he'd wait and talk to potential customers like Atlas a minute or two, but due to the fact that he overslept, he didn't have the time to spare. He'd barely gotten behind the counter before his first customer arrived. "Certainly, miss Donovan." He said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small leather book. He looked around for a brief second before also grabbing a pen that was next to the cash register. "Tact" he muttered to himself as he wrote down the order. Marcus then quickly laid down the book on the counter before grabbing the cigarettes a and the borax and handing it to Riley. "There, your total is 165G".

She tried not to grumble as she counted the money out for him on the counter- because it certainly wasn't his fault. She tried to peek at what he was reading- she wasn't ashamed of snagging peoples sloppy seconds when it came to library books.
"Reading anything good?" She asked as he rang her up.

Where abouts: Waffle farm

A large smile grew on the auburnish haired girl as she clapped her hands together in joy at the news. "Bagelina is going to be a mother! That's wonderful news Esther!" Rina spoke in amazement hugging the nurse with excitement, as the farmer's eyes sparkled with joy. The farmer quickly moved to her cow gently patting the tuff of hair on cows head. The large cow mooed with joy at the two, before taking a bite of the hay with in the large troff in front of the animal.

"Oh I almost forgot, I made some jams last night if you would like any of them, though were all out of cherry flavored.!"

Atlas Simons
General Store

Atlas made his way into the shop, but someone else had already made it in front of him and was talking to Marcus at the counter. Upon closer inspection the person was Riley, the town carpenter. Atlas had nothing against Riley, but he didn't know much about the girl anyways. He piddled around the store, picking out the things he needed and putting them in the basket he had picked up at the front of the store.

After dwadling around for some time, and adding bananas and peanut butter to his cart instead of cake, he made his way up to the counter. "Hey Marcus, Riley. How are things?" he asked, directed more or less at both of them. He set his basket on the counter behind Riley, waiting as Marcus rang her up.

"Hey, man," she said when the black smith showed up at the counter. He was a bit younger than her and while their fathers had been friends she had kept her distance when she was young- he was always loud and fun and she had always sort of been sour and punchy. Now that they were grown she supposed the black smith and the carpenter aught to be friends- but she hadn't figured her way around how to do that particular trick yet.
"Things are...going-" She said not wanting to bother him with the details of her personal to do list that never ended, "I was gonna stop buy and hassle you for some nails latter if your open today?"

Richard Bell Bertrand
Hucklebumble Pub & Inn

Eloise had very quickly become Richard's favorite person that day. He knew that she didn't like Steve. In fact, if you would get her talking, she would tell you all about all the reasons she hated him and how she thought that the voting had been rigged, etc. Richard knew about this first hand. He smirked as she kicked Steve out of the pub, watching him get slapped with a spatula, typical Eloise style. Camilla had apparently decided to leave as well, and without another bottle of wine.

Finally, with everyone out and Richard ignoring Willow calling after Steve to come back later, Richard took another swig of alcohol - he wasn't even sure what it was, he just picked something from behind the counter. Then, he took a deep breath, working on cleaning up the mess that was on the floor. "Willow, I will give you money to get rat traps and some extra if you will run to the store and get the traps," he said, sounding exhausted. Which, in a way he was. Not to mention he was starting to feel the sweet relief of the alcohol's effects, not just the warmth it gave. He wasn't a lightweight of course, but he had taken quite a few swigs of straight - up alcohol that day.

Willow couldn't help but say that to the mayor it was just to funny everything that happened. She was kind of hoping it pissed him off. That and well if she was going to do any kind of dancing tonight she needed audience. She went back in and listen to Richards request. "Alright, I'll head over." She said as she stretched. She held out her hand waiting for him to give her the money.
