[X3 Infernal Infinity]

The exhausted hatter sighed rubbing her eyes as she reached into her hat. Pulling out a small compact that looked very much like her pocket watch she opened it and proceeded to dab the white powder beneath her eyes to get rid of the circles. She considered her reflection for a moment before considering the circles appropriately masked and dropped and dropping the compact back into her hat. Rummaging in it once more she came out with a cup, already full of steaming tea, on a saucer. With the saucer in one hand she set the hat back in it's place atop her curls with the other. Her sleeve slid back a fraction offering a faint glimpse of bandages. She lowered her hand to her teacup and lifted it to her lips to take a slow sip. When she spoke it was with her usual infallible sense of cheer.

"I trust all you all slept well... Yes...?"

A spot of tea should wake me right up...


Or so I hope...


But I could most certainly use a nap...

Crimson ran over and lifted Madd's sleeve, "MADD! WHY DO YOU HAVE BANDAGES! WHEN DID YOU GET HURT!?"


Crimson looked at her frantically and then back at her arm.

Madd blinked in surprise balancing her tea in on hand as the girl ran over to lift her sleeve. The bandages ran from just below her wrist to nearly her elbow and were a few layers thick. She chuckled setting her tea beside her and patting the girls head with her hand as she extracted her arm from her and shook her sleeve back down to cover the bQandages. The wounds beneath them barely hurt thanks to Absolem. She continued to pat the girls head in a comforting manner her own cocking to the side before she spoke.

"Oh it's nothing to worry yourself about... Simply a minor scrape really... I had to pop back home to deal with some business and I seem to have gotten myself a bit scratched up in the process..."

Quite literally...


I really can not fathom how the Bandersnatch moves so fast...

Looking at the bandages it went down to her elbow and seemed to look like it was a few layers thick. Looking up at Madd as she extracted her hand from her arm. Crimson wagged a tail that had popped out as Madd began to pat her in a comforting manner. Madd then spoke about running into trouble after returning home for a bit. Why would she run into trouble? Didn't she return to go back home? Deciding that she shouldn't prode on the topic crimson took a quick whiff of the bandages and smelt the large amount of blood that had been there. She was really hurt...

Athena looked at Alex and felt bad she could tell she made him uncomfortable. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." she looked over at Madd and Crimson and listened into their conversation.

Alexander looked Athena and shook his head. "N-no it's perfectly fine..." He jumped slightly, making Spirit want to punch himself for doing so, as Crimson yelled at Madd's wounded arm. 'I can only imagine how she would at if she saw my sister...' Alexander thought as he watched Madd comfort her. He was surprised at seeing Crimson's tail and thought it was kind of cute. 'Wait, what am I thinking!' he scolded himself and sighed.


Caterina fell if Athena's shoulder as Crimson's scream scared her. She followed the girl to look at Madd's arm herself.

Madd picked up her tea, smiling faintly as the girls tail wagged rapidly. She was still quite sleepy so the level of energy displayed by her companions was rather amusing to her. She was also gratefull the wolf girl had decided not to pry. The tale of how she got her injury was not one she was quite alert enough to feel like sharing at the moment. Taking a drink of her tea she seemed rather calm. Setting the cup back on the saucer she smiled as if having a sudden thought. She snapped her fingers and the card tents she had put up last night fell over, shrinking down into sets of three cards. One after another the stacks were gathered together and floated back over to her. She reached out to take them chuckling as Cheshire rematerialized, grin first as always, from seemingly nowhere.

"Oh would anyone else care for some morning tea...? Excellent way to start the day you know..."

"I would love some if you don't mind Madd." Athena really needed something to help wash all those berries down.

Crimson's tail continued to wag and she smiled happily at Madd, "I would like some two! I tried it once before but that was with you and I really liked it! Mother and Father didn't drink tea generally...."


She continued to rattle on as she waited for Madd to hand her a cup of tea.

Madd made a soft pleased humming sound as she swept her hat from her head. Reaching in she pulled out three more teacups, four saucers, and the tiny cup and saucer set she had used for Caterina before. She somehow managed to balance all of it atop her good arm as she pulled a teapot from her hat and began to pour cups of the steaming liquid. The tea itself was a slightly blue hue and smelled slightly flowery. Satisfied that the tea was poured she added appropriate amounts of cream and sugar to each cup before handing on to Athena, Caterina, and Crimson since they were already close enough. The saucer she sat down for Cheshire since his was mostly cream and very little tea. The last cup and saucer she held towards Alexander, smiling softly.

"I do hope you'll join us for tea... It's lunar rose tea this time, absolutely fantastic really... Of course like many of my teas you can only get it in Wonderland you know..."

And only in the White Queen's Territory to...


Luckily she still likes me...


Or perhaps she just wishes to be on my good side...

Caterina waved her hand as she said, "I would like some too." She flew around Crimson to stand on a stub near Madd.


Alexander said nothing as she offered tea. He was watching her with a keen eye, especially since her grin at the card\tents made him feel uneasy.

Athena took the tea and took a sip "oh! I like this one!" She smiled at Madd. "I think I may have an herb that will help heal that awful wound of yours too. If you want it."

Alexander smiled shyly at Madd and nodded before walking over to them and sipping from the tea cup slightly. He really didn't want to trust Madd when she smiled or spoke that way.


Caterina drank some of her tea happily. "Mmm, it really is good!"

Madd smiled pleasantly as they drank their tea, taking a sip of her own now that her hands were once again free. After a moment she sat both cup and saucer back down. At Athena's offer of helping he patch up her arm she could only chuckle. Rolling back her sleeve she undid the first layer of bandages. The second were a slight tan in color and smelled of herbs and almost slightly like her cigarette smoke. She unrolled that too to reveal the last layer of bandages that were practically red. Unwinding those she exposed the wound on her arm. Four large gashes ran across her arm spanning the space from her wrist to elbow in a slant. The wounds themselves were only slightly red and already showed signs of healing up. Holding her arm out over the grass Madd tipped the rest of her teacup over the wound, the still steaming liquid splashing of her skin. Her expression remained passive as the wound bubbled slightly.

"It will heal up just fine on it's own... I do have to clean it with tea every now and then though... But I could probably use some new bandages... The last layer is practically useless now for keeping the wound clean..."

Crimson went over to Alex and sat beside him, "I hope we weren't being rude before."


She really did hope so, because she was comfortable with everyone around her crimson had allowed her ears and tail to pop up and gave her a humanoid furry look. It wasn't strange but the only strange thing about it was that it suited her way too much. Looking at Alex, Crimson waited for his reply.


Noticing Madd take of her bandages Crimson forgot to wait for Alex's reply and went over to her, "You said it was only a little scratch...."


Sad that Madd hadn't told her the truth small tears appeared and her ears flattened and her tail dropped down.

Alexander looked at her and acted as if he felt a bit awkward about it. "No its perfectly fine, really..." He looked at her ears as he suddenly thought, 'I'm so having some of those with my next persona.' He instead said, "Your ears are...cute...they fit you really well."

Athena looked at Madds arm with wide eyes. "Well, it's good to know you have your own herbs for such a wound. It's awful you went and got such an awful thing, I think if you needed help with something like this we would all help you anytime." Athena gave a slight smile at Madd

Her wound was still bubbling a bit as Crimson trotted back over. She noticed the girl seemed hurt and using her other hand she reached up to pet the girls head scratching behind her ears. She forgot sometimes what the others were like, from different stories were things weren't so strange. It worried her a bit, about the future. A worry that was soon punctuated by Athena's offer of assistance should she need it. If they ever did cross into her realm, into Wonderland, she would have her hands full trying to keep them safe and from getting too confused. After all the book most people knew did very little to describe how Wonderland actually was. She smiled encouragingly at Crimson, determined to never let her cheery mask falter.

"It's but a little scratch to me... Besides the creature that made this was rather large... For it this is about as little as it's scratches get..."

I do so hate to see her sad...


She reminds me of March...

Crimson nodded at Madd's comment and decided that she should leave the two of them alone. Trotting back over to Alex Crimson listened to his reply and then touched her ears when he said they were cute.


"How are they cute?"


One of her ears flopped down as she said that and she waited eagerly for his reply.

Alexander chuckled slightly, a rare and real chuckle, as Crimson asked him how they were cute. 'Your young, not that young,' he thought with a laugh. "They're cute kind of like...a puppy is cute..." he answered awkwardly.

Thinking for a bit Crimson smiled, "Thank you Alex! I think you are very handsome as well!"


Of course with her child like innocence Crimson thought nothing of the comment and happily wagged her tail thinking it is nice to call her cute.

Alexander smiled at her once more. He didn't mind her not taking the compliment overboard at all, he was actually glad she didn't think anything of it. "Your welcome Crimson, and thank you for calling me handsome." He suddenly stood and began walking away. "Now could you excuse me for a moment?" he asked as he headed into the trees.

Crimson watched as Alex walked away and felt tempted to follow him but like a good puppy that she was told she was she waited for him to return from wherever he was going.

Alexander ran for a while before he couldn't run anymore and leaned over a bush as he puked out the tea. "What is up with that Wonderland stuff?" he asked no one, coughing a bit. "Man I almost feel human..." He sighed and dropped his disguise, leaning against a different tree.

Crimson not being able to help herself ran after Alex keeping up with him easily. She watched with amasement as the warm looking Alex transformed into an icy figure.


"Alex?"


Walking over to him Crimson looked at him worriedly, was he sick? Did something happen?
