Caterina tried to help Athena with the birds using her animal talent dust, but mostly just watched from her shoulder. She smiled as Athena laid back though and would let her rest.

Alexander watched the girls with curiosity as they spoke with the animals. He didn't exactly have a very good relationship with most things with animal instinct, he even got caught once or twice because of it. He looked away as Crimson turned back into her human form and looked around the camp.

Athena woke not long after falling asleep from a nightmare. She sat straight up real fast and looked around to make sure she was still at camp. Taking in a big sigh, she sat back against the tree again and relaxed.

Crimson looked at Athena worriedly without a word she went over to comfort her not sure if this would help in anyway.

Caterina jumped, falling off her shoulder. She looked at Athena with a worried expression and flew up to look at her. She flew up some dust: Are you okay?

Alexander looked at her confused but said or did anything. He only watched Crimson went to comfort her.

Athena saw the two girls come to her side " I'm okay. I just had a bad dream about nefario. Thank you guys." She said smiling at the both of them. "Has anyone seen any of the birds come back yet?" She asked feeling a bit concerned about them

Crimson pated the worried girls head and shook her head, "Remember the reason why we sen them in threes? It i so they can protect each other."

Athena smiled "yeah that's true, they are probably fine." She put her hand up to the bottom of Caterinas feet so she could put her back onto her shoulder. " its so nice that all these animals have come to help us."

Caterina smiled also at Athena, happy her friend was okay. She sat down on Athena's shoulder as she lifted her up to it.

Alexander was more than happy when Athena was okay and suddenly said, "So what's for breakfast, girls?"

"Oh yum, I could certainly go for some food!!" Athena was starving. "I'm really craving some berries!" Athena didn't eat much meat having conversations with animals and then eating some was too awkward for Athena.

Caterina truthfully didn't know and shrugged at Athena, but tried to sprinkle some dust in one spot anyway. She ended up growing a thimble berry flower.

"I have the best friend ever!" Athena exclaimed and proceeded to pick some and put them in hand. They tasted for delicious and sweet. "Thank you Caterina!" Athena was very pleased.

Athena noticed that no one else was eating any so she pulled out a couple handkerchiefs from her purse and picked a handful and took them over to Crimson and then another to Alexander "don't you like berries?" She asked Alexander looking him in the eyes.

He took it and was careful to not touch her hand. "I'm fine with anything," Alexander lied as he threw a berry he didn't taste in his mouth. He smiled at Athena.

"So tell us what's your secret?" Athena could tell something was a bit off. She sat down next to him "I mean I can tell you're keeping something and none of us can keep you safe if we don't know everything." She smiled at him hoping he would feel comfortable enough to say.

Alexander looked up at Athena surprised. He moved away from her slightly as she sat by him. "What do you mean?" he asked.

Alexander gulped and looked away. "I-I don't want to talk about it..." He was dead how was hr supposed to tell them that

Crimson looked at Alex and smiled, "Well you guys know all of mine! And forcing Alex to say something he isn't ready to doesn't feel right to me. How about we just let him tell us when he is ready."

She looked over at Athena and smiled hoping that she would agree.

Madd shuffled her cards as she returned to the group. Her silver eyes seemed tired and there was the faint sign of dark rings under her eyes despite the almost paint pale hue of her face. Cheshire had disappeared but at her side was a rather large tan hare, muttering to itself as it held a cup of tea in a trembling hand. Without looking at anyone she made her way to her usual stump and sat down. The hare, March, joined her still mumbling softly but it would seem the conversation was not aimed at the air but at the young hatter herself who was nodding every so often. Eventually she held up a hand to stop the creatures ramblings. Reaching in her pocket she retrieved her pocket watch and after a quick consultation with its face sighed. Sweeping of her hat she pulled from its depths a single black rose with a pale green ribbon around the stem and handed it to March. He looked that the flower then back at her before nodding. Setting down the tea the hare sped off into the trees, disappearing soon from sight. Rubbing her eyes Madd leaned back a bit.

"The Madness never ends..."

Exhausted... To much so to think clearly...

It'll only get worse before it gets better...

If it ever does...
