Fantasy Lucid -- OOC

I would love to hear anyone elses opinion on the idea, but I thought of something rather interesting pertaining to the three masters in the group.
Nyx is a serious business, focus on the dreamer and completing the mission kind of Master.
Teoh is serious as well, but his main focus is the Anima and their safety. Making sure they return home and aren't hurt during the mission.
Al is like the balance between the two. He went after Hap to make sure nothing happened to her, but he only did that because there were plenty of other Anima to protect and encourage the Dreamer. I like to think that if it had only been Al and maybe one or two Anima with the Dreamer, he probably wouldn't have taken off after Hap like he did.

Well don't tell Hap that , Maybe, its a tough call, and that's exactly why I put it in there. Hard choices are great character devo tools, having fewer animi there would have made it much more dangerous to go after her. tbh, Nyx would probably have run off to get her at the first chance, as soon as he made sure things weren't going to spiral out of control. Nyx does care about the animi, more than the dreamers for sure, he had to make a choice and the choice he made was wholly utilitarian in nature, protecting the majority of the animi instead of risking them for one, but he would have blamed himself if anything happened to Happenstance, he's already got a bunch of secret guilt. You will find out more later

I'm not saying that Al's actions were souly based on if there had been enough animi. In his own way, he does care for the others in the group (though getting him to admit it without a snarky remark would be a serious achievement). But logically, Al knows that he is not as good as Nyx with Dreamers. He's a fighter and manipulator. so he's going to play to his strengths. Couple that with the rookies who need to learn, and the number of Animi who were at the side of the dreamer already, Al logically defied orders to go after Hap. I like to think that underneath his rather, brutish, exterior that he puts up, Al is pretty calculating and logical. At least when it comes to working, when its time to play, Al goes wherever the mood takes him. ^^

Since they took away my discord privileges at work, and I don't get good enough reception in my office to use my phone,

Well, I'm just at my desk temporarily while my phone backs up. Once it's done backing up, I'm heading right back out for the day. I've got an appointment to get its battery replaced and need to pickup a shoe insert prescription, and hopefully have enough time to get the insert today as well.

I've had a sergeant first class and a specialist complain to me at work for being too high-speed lmao. I was getting all of my tasks done too quickly the past two days.

Yea I don't understand the thought of slowing work down. IF there is work to be done, you should do it quickly and efficiently.

I just come up with efficient routines for each new task, thus they end up being completed quicker than expected. I enjoy seeking out more tasks, too, as the day flies by as a result. I spent a lot of last summer lazing around at work and I just always ended up really bored and the day took eons to end.

when I worked retail and the days were slower than usual, I would go to another department and learn about it. I ended up being able to work 5 different departments before the d-bags fired me -.-

Also, they definitely were douchebags for firing someone as versatile as you. They should've given you a raise or even a promotion instead. Likely, you threatened their positions.

unfortunately it is/was. It was my very first time every getting in trouble for something. I had several awards and recognitions. I had just started as a supervisor and hired several new guys too. Instant firing. Really sucked at the time, even gave me nightmares for a while :|
BUt I suppose it worked out for the better. I have a good job now.

I'll admit, I wasn't overly fond of Teoh at first, but the strikingly different personality to that of those already in the group makes him kinda valuable to me. Like, he adds a lot of dynamic to each interaction and leads to us having different outcomes as opposed to similar outcomes repeating over time.

i think, having that distinct personality and differences between master is 100% valuable cause you can definitely get different perspectives and outcomes of a situation.

like, I would say Eirene is a mixture of everyone's personality, depending on the characters, but she's much more eccentric, I think.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. A few are still dealing with finals. I'm currently sitting in the back of a military truck while it downpours outside with occasional thunder and lightning.

I would have to definitely agree with both of you. With personalities that clash, you get a richer and more interesting story. If everyone had the same attitude for their characters, it would be an awfully borring story in my opinion. Teoh's hard attitude give us more conflict for everyone's characters to interact with. Not main conflict mind you, the Fiends and dreams, but more minor conflict that characters can grow and develop from.
